Norma,I have mixed feelings about the windmills,Idid the fiber optic work on the first project on Backbone Mt.They built 28 on that project.I don't really think they have caused too many problems since they went on line. The big project going on now from Scheer Mt and beyond is probably 6 times as big.I do think if people want GREEN POWER,these projects must be built
Costume Lady, Yeah... been busy doing restorations around the house and had my daughter here for a visit so we were playing tourist going to Niagara Falls and such. Can never get too much of watching the Falls, standing in the mist.
We are doing nestorations too. Having 3 patio doors put in today. They are working on the living room one right now and discovered we have TERMITES!! Have a pest man coming down shortly. $$$$$:(
Oh.... well, thank goodness you decided to do the work so that they could find those little buggers Costume Lady!
Speaking of bugs.. my husband is bugging me to get in motion. He said we are on a mission today.. *rolls eyes* He must have another project for me. *lol* He's lucky I really REALLY love him.
Good Sat. morning! Nice Hidey visit earlier. Oh, no, Wanda....sorry about the termites! So good that you can get someone out right away....won't be cheap, but at least your invaders will be stopped. Hope they haven't done any serious damage.
Yes, my letter was an online submission to Letters to the Editor. I borrowed some words and paraphrased and added a bit of my own -- a little snipe at Homeland Security.
Off to do house chores. Sorry I missed Hidey. Maybe later today?
Judie, great on Post contact! Are they going to do an article or are you submitting a letter to the editor? Wonder what Mits is up to?? Bet Ceil is busy planning a train station visit w/ MM!
Completely forgot that Mits was going to Chicago!! She didn't say goodbye, did she? :( Guess the weather caused flight delays. How long will she be out there, Ceil?
Lolly, haven't really decided what I'm going to do today! Just finished finally watching the last of Ken Burns' The Civil War---again!! It's been almost 20 yrs. since it first showed----where does the time go?? They had re-broadcast it back in the spring, and I just now finished!!
Hello Everyone! Good to see so many regulars on here! Hoping that all is well and busy with Megan - may go to Market tomorrow.
All of you are doing a great job for the DC eagles! Question: Should some of those letters also be sent to a contact at Homeland? You know like straight to the source. Just a thought.
Our workers can't continue on the LR patio door until the Pest Control gets here, so they have started on Dustin's bedroom door and have found no termites there, but water damage to the floor and had to replace about a 6' X 3' area. Keeping my fingers crossed that there is no termite damage at the door in our bedroom.
Oh, a plane ride for Mits? Saw Chicago and thought Train!
That window of launch for Endeavor keeps closing...bet the astronauts and all the NASA people are disappointed, but I guess they get used to it after awhile.
A Laid Back Day, Jo, sounds like a good idea! I emailed GreyMare and she was very happy to hear of your visit with the Germany Gang. She is very busy, had a few health and computer problems....I told her I hope she can pop on and say "Hi."
Wanda: keeping my fingers and all my toes crossed too for you guys...I had a Powder Post Beetle problem at old house in Hedgesville....not good!
Donna emailed me and was telling me about her computer problems and she has a laptop now and loves it! She had a Carolina Wren couple build their nest on the deck and they were able to watch from inside and saw all 3 of them fledge! Hoping that the couple comes back next year!
Oh, my, Wanda....not looking good! Where did the water come from in Dustins' room? Leak around old door? When my youngest and her hubby bought their house in Ranson, it had been treated for termites in the past....new joists installed under house, but old ones were left in place---could look up in basement and see all of the tunnels in them that the termites had made. Kind of eerie, but interesting, too.
Cute, Jim!! How's everything in SoCal?? My youngest is heading your way tomorrow for a week of training on some new lab equipment. Don't recall the name of the company, but it's in Brea; her hotel that they arranged is in Garden Grove, I think she said. We used to have a GM plant in Brea---not sure if it's still operating or not. Margy, wishing & hoping washing the truck will bring the rain--we sure need it. I need to mow but it's just too dusty! I'm hoping for it late tomorrow and then I can mow Mon. AM.
Margy, I've been meaning to offer to water your "Megan" plants while you are gone. You know it wouldn't be any trouble for me. Anything else that I can do while you are gone, just ask:)
I wanted to, Wanda...could have stayed with my BFF in Highlands, but she is on a cruise w/ her grandgirls and son. I've done the tourist stuff there once and that was enough, so it wouldn't be much fun w/ her in class all day! Tried to go with her last year, but we couldn't work out the connecting flights (her flight was booked) from Houston to LA---going, and not at all coming back! Too expensive for all those headaches!
Garden question: should I pinch off new leaves on Colias so that they stop going UP-UP and start going out??? Thanks for offering to water Margy's flowers, Wanda....I would probably ruin them, LOL!
My house is full of fresh cut flowers. Really makes things cheerful! I'm still planning on going to market tomorrow.. Granddaughter may meet me.. She will need some flowers and so will Aaron if he shows!
The humidity has returned today. Without the A/C on today (because the windows and doors are still open for the workers) I have barricaded myself in my office with the door closed so that I can have this A/C on. Feel so good:) Walk out into the kitchen and it's like an oven! They have not found anymore termites!!:) Termite man is going to spray the back of the house, where the termites are and drill holes in the ground and put termite cocktails in each one. $1,600. Not too bad, but it is an unexpected expense. New drapes will have to wait awhile:(
Think it IS getting ready to rain...getting very dark, breeze is picking up....whoops---here it is! Launch is tentatively planned for tomorrow...they will know more by 4am. Window closes after the 14th, unless they work out something with the Ruskies around their launch date for whatever they are sending up next.
I love hydrangeas, Ceil. Haven't had any in years, tho. Know they wouldn't grow here in the woods. Crystal Cathedral is/was Robert Schulers' church, right? THUNDER!! Guess I better shut down. BBL.
I am glad you are getting some rain there! Wanda, I guess the good news is you caught the termites now because of the new doors., but new curtains would have been nice!
I use to like to listen to Robert Schuller until it was apparent that they were getting greedy and not sincere in their sermons. Most of the TV ministers have gone astrayo:(:(
Rain hasn't come over the mountain yet! I hope it does however; I already watered my potted plants/flowers! Guess I go get my bedspread which is hanging to air out on the deck before the showers come.
Deb I am glad you are adjusting to your work schedule - I miss you on here!
Ceil has ham in her oven and I have ham in my tummy:) I fixed ham subs for breakfast because I knew we would be too busy today to cook or eat lunch. One of those sandwiches lasts til suppertime. Supper is going to be (don't read any further if you are not a fan of oragan meat) Saute'd chicken gizzards and red beans and rice and salad. If those window workers don't get done soon, We will have to have microwave dinners. That's ok too.
Don't know where everyone is, napping? Maybe I'll do that too. Thundering here and raining lightly. The window in our bedroom is covered by a canopy, so the workers can keep on working in the rain, as long as there is no lightning. One of them is smoking outside and it is wafting into my office...nauseating me. Need to close my door.
Well, Costume Lady has one-upped me with a letter to Obama. You go girl!
However, through the rain drops at Hidey House, I have some news I hope will cheer us. I received an email saying my letter to Wash,. Post will be published Monday. Sure hope some people with some clout happen to read it.
Wanda not much on gizzards but love livers. Isn't that something how we smell someone smoking. The attorney I work with smells terrible. My mom, dad and Jim and his mother all smoked. Never bothered me.
Well, you know what, Judie? If none of our efforts helps the DC eagles keep their peaceful home, we know we tried or very best. We started at the very bottom and have worked our way to the top!;) WE ARE WOMAN!
Ceil, speaking of attorneys, our attorney and previous next door neighbor (many years ago) asked us a long time ago if we had any video of his oldest daughter when she was a toddler. He has video of his other children, but not the first one. Karla used to babysit her, and by the Grace of God, we found an old 8mm movie and had it transfered to a CD. I am so anxious to give it to him. He has done many favors for us over the years...this is going to be a pleasure. Sorry, this has nothing to do with what we were talking about...what WERE we talking about?
Wanda that is a very sweet offer to water my Megan Flowers - but I think things will be okay....upstairs man neighbor is going to watch a few things for me and also get the mail and newspapers. You are Sweeeeeeeeeet to offer though ! Thank You ! xox ♥
Time to finish what I was doing if I can remember what it was before the rain started....I think I was cleaning out the car. Not that I am taking it anywhere, but it needed it !
LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT: (I juggled around some of the wording of Shirley's letter with her OK)
Mr. President,
Did you know that there is a BALD EAGLE nest in the District of Columbia? Of course, you know, that the Bald Eagle is our national symbol. Did you know that that nest is being threatened by proposed construction being plannd by the Department of Homeland Security? The nest is on the campus of the old Saint Elizabeth's Hospital, where there is still an area that can support them.
It is not the proposed building that is a threat to the eagles: the threat is a proposed road leading to he back of the building. This project is still in the planning stages, so it is not too late to make changes.
Bald eagles mate for life, and they return to the same nest year after year. We believe these eagles deserve the right to be left alone so they can rear their young, undisturbed. Surely the Department of Homeland Security can plan around their needs.
We do appreciate your taking the time to consider what you may be able to do to help in this matter.
For more information about these eagles, see Faye Fiore's July 4th article in the Los Angeles Times.
I'm back....storm didn't put down enough rain here to do any good at all...bummer. Good letter, Wanda! Glad the termite issue is under control---I was guessing about $1500! Close. Wonderful find: took the shrimp out of the freezer and it IS peeled and deveined!! EASY!!! Can't wait for dinnertime...yum!
I just finished my late 3:00 cup coffee. Ready to go to Mass. Hubby had to go down early & I will meet up with him at church. I just can't imagine (now that I don't smoke) how many others put up with my 'smoke smell'. Bad Mema Jo!!!!!
Cantaloupes are deeelicious this season
Tomatoes are great also.
Thanks Judie for trying to contact Homeland themselves. That link has a customer service button! Hope it works and gets to the right person.
Sorry to keep bogging you down but thought this might be interesting. Another communication from the Wash. Post (person on editorial staff) saying he is surprised the paper had not carried this story and maybe my letter will get things going. Had no idea one could still deal with a "real" person these days.
Back again.. THAT was a decent storm! Can tell that it rained now. Everything looks thankful, if you know what I mean!! Got the shrimp off the grill just in the nick of time...and they were delicious!! Made some gArlic-cheese bisquits to go with it--tasted allmost like Red Lobsters' do! More good work, Judie and Shirley. TY!
Deb, easy to fix. Wrap peeled shrimp (raw) in bacon (1/2 strip per large shrimp), brush well w/ your favorite BBQ sauce and grill on low heat!! I did put foil on grill w/ holes in it so that shrimp wouldn't fall through grate!!
For the shrimp - secure the bacon with a toothpick...this prevents shrimp from falling through the grill...grill for about 15 minutes, turning every 5 minutes...then add BBQ sauce and grill the last 5-8 minutes. Watch out for flare ups from the bacon. And there you have it...shrimp on the barby
I put them om a skewer, Paula....but still a few fell off as they shrank! Wasn't sure how you had done it. Tasted scrumptious, so thanks for clueing us in! Time for the race---Loretta, you watching??
Was at a picnic and re-united with a nephew, a niece, their spouses and children, and some other assorted relatives-in-law - All kinds of good grilled food there too but no shrimp.
Lynn That would be Dwain's two oldest, Sarah and Matt and their families, and assorted Donaldsons and their families too...Diane, Darlene, Jimmy, Donnie Boo
Thanks Paula ! We head out bright and early 4:45 Monday Morning...I think I will be ready - Good Night to you...and hope your day tomorrow is a good one. xoxo
Cool story: In London, 30 pianos, labeled "Play Me, I'm Yours" have been placed on corners and under bridges and other locations throughout the city...for anyone to play, anytime! Not a single one has been vandalized or stolen, and all are getting played! Isn't that neat?
Glad you had a nice visit w/ extended family, Margy. Is Dwaine doing okay? Any sign of Deb or Dixie?? Hopping off and heading for tub. See all of you great friends in the AM! Sleep well. Healing thoughts going out to Anne Marie! Prayers for all.
Nighty Night Lynn...no sign of those folks tonight, it was a short-notice get-together, and I didn't get a chance to schmooze much with the adults, too busy playing with the kids! Dwain is doing so-so... he's lonesome...
I am sure everyone has headed to bed and I am about to!
Another 100 degree day today. Yuk!
Went to a beautiful wedding this afternoon. Came home and mowed and did yard work. Jack soaked himself with the water house about 4 times while mowing and weed eating. He said it really worked.
I am off to bed. Just want to say hi. After this next week we are going to be home for a while. I will try to get on more often then.
It's raining at Loch of the Lowe's and the view is poor due to an overhanging branch... those Osprey chicks are set to fledge "any day now" according to their diary.
On that link I just posted, you will need to scroll down to Cam 1 then hit the play button. Might not work for some computers, depending on your operating system
Margy, beautiful shots this morning. No overhanging branch. One has fledged, or is branching, maybe. Other two are restless. Someone is operating the camera, showing all of the birds.
My camera had to be refreshed. I was looking at the Washington Post, but found nothing except a cute video of a cat fetching and a puppy chasing ice cubes.
I just found this legal document regarding the proposed road at St. Elizabeth's that is quite interesting. They are concerned with the destruction of trees, etc., at the site. Lots of names of people we might want to contact.

Good Morning and thank you, Steve.
How lucky I am this morning...tuned in to the nest and LOOK WHO'S THERE!:) Nice way to start the day.
Good Morning...
WOW.. It's been a while since I have caught Hidey in the nest. Sure is nice to see her. She looks pretty content to be there for the moment.
Thanks, Steve and Wanda!
Good morning, Steve. Thanks for the new thread.
Good morning, Wanda. Thanks for the call-over. Isn't it nice to see Hidey this morning?
Aww laying in the nest! Preening!

Hi Tammy, it's been a while since we've seen you on here. You picked a good time to come on in:)
Deb, has your rain stopped?
No rain in 24 hours, Wanda! Keep your fingers crossed, it is raining about 100 miles west of here. It is supposed to go south, not east.
What a beautiful tail!
I wish it was headed east... our gardens and yards are burning up.
Look at that tail spred
I was looking at that one tail feather that looks striped...I want that!;)
Costume Lady, Yeah... been busy doing restorations around the house and had my daughter here for a visit so we were playing tourist going to Niagara Falls and such. Can never get too much of watching the Falls, standing in the mist.
Good Morning everyone.. Good to see you all
Hey, Bill, I have mixed feeling on those monstrosities too. They look bad but do good.
We are doing nestorations too. Having 3 patio doors put in today. They are working on the living room one right now and discovered we have TERMITES!! Have a pest man coming down shortly. $$$$$:(
Hidey gave a few parting squeals and took off.
Thought Hidey was getting more comfy...then started calling...got up, to the launch pad, and away he went!
Wanda, I hope you caught the termites early!
Adult at nest.
Cleaning up after Hidey, maybe.
Oh.... well, thank goodness you decided to do the work so that they could find those little buggers Costume Lady!
Speaking of bugs.. my husband is bugging me to get in motion. He said we are on a mission today.. *rolls eyes* He must have another project for me. *lol* He's lucky I really REALLY love him.
You all have a wonderful weekend.
Seems to be finding a few crumbs.
Off to work for me. bbl.
Lib on the nest!
Poof went Lib!
Oh No, Wanda.
Going to find some breakfast myself...
Must go to farmers' market and take care of some chores around here. BBL.
Morning all. I was so busy reading yesterday's comments that I missed our Hidey.
I did catch feeding time at BWO. That nest is hard for me to see the baby this year. Mother nature really hides the chick with his markings.
Termites are the pits. They are so destructive. Hope they can get them all. But you are right ,$$$$.
80% chance of rain here today...we need it though.
Everyone have a great weekend...
Good morning! Been outside fertizing a few plants.
Norma.....having a wonderful breakfast this morning. Homemade coffee cake (staight from the freezer) and sausage. Yum!
Going to do some packing and then get ready for the wedding this afternoon. After the wedding we are mowing. Groan!
Should always do spell check. LOL
Fertilizing!!!
Good Sat. morning!
Nice Hidey visit earlier.
Oh, no, Wanda....sorry about the termites! So good that you can get someone out right away....won't be cheap, but at least your invaders will be stopped. Hope they haven't done any serious damage.
Sorry about your bugs, Wanda! What kind of door are you having installed?
Good morning, Lynn! What are you up to today?
Sorry I missed the morning nest visits. When was the last time we saw last years three at the nest?
Hi everyone,
Yes, my letter was an online submission to Letters to the Editor. I borrowed some words and paraphrased and added a bit of my own -- a little snipe at Homeland Security.
Off to do house chores. Sorry I missed Hidey. Maybe later today?
Judie
Time to get busy! Have a great Saturday!
Good morning all. Stopping in to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY DONNA.
Mits finally made it to Chicago at 7:00 o'clock our time.5 hours late.
BBL
Wanda they say that the termits are very bad this year due to all the rain. They love moisture.
Judie, great on Post contact! Are they going to do an article or are you submitting a letter to the editor?
Wonder what Mits is up to??
Bet Ceil is busy planning a train station visit w/ MM!

Endeavour launch postponed at least until tomorrow---lightening strikes on launch pad last evening being evaluated.
Completely forgot that Mits was going to Chicago!! She didn't say goodbye, did she? :( Guess the weather caused flight delays. How long will she be out there, Ceil?
Happy Birthday, Donna!!!

Photos of termite damage on my Wanda's Wishes:(:(
Hi, Jo...I thought the same thing, but don't know what their address would be.
Oh, a plane ride for Mits? Saw Chicago and thought Train!
That window of launch for Endeavor keeps closing...bet the astronauts and all the NASA people are disappointed, but I guess they get used to it after awhile.

Wanda: keeping my fingers and all my toes crossed too for you guys...I had a Powder Post Beetle problem at old house in Hedgesville....not good!
TTFN dear Friends, catch you later

Happy Birthday Donna - may it be the best ever and a great year ahead
Donna emailed me and was telling me about her computer problems and she has a laptop now and loves it! She had a Carolina Wren couple build their nest on the deck and they were able to watch from inside and saw all 3 of them fledge! Hoping that the couple comes back next year!

Where did the water come from in Dustins' room? Leak around old door?

Lunch and Jenny visiting with her beautiful flowers - glads are huge!
I just washed the car...
Think it will rain now ???????
xo Out now to do the windows...
I don't normally "do" windows but I like to see what is whizzing past when I am driving ☺

I have emailed a letter to Barack Obama about the eagle situation in DC. Will let you know if I hear anything.
Lynn, why don't you go with your Daughter...It would do you good to get away:)
Garden Grove is where that beautiful Crytal Cathedral is, I believe.
I wanted to, Wanda...could have stayed with my BFF in Highlands, but she is on a cruise w/ her grandgirls and son. Thanks for offering to water Margy's flowers, Wanda....I would probably ruin them, LOL!
Yes, it sounds like more of a hassle than relaxing thing. Have you seen the Crystal Cathedral?
Goodness, is it ever getting humid out there! Very oppressive, even tho' temp is only 79.
Yes, Lynn, pinch the tops out and stick them in some HORMONE powder and start new plants;) Or, stick them in a container of water for a week or so.
I saw the Crystal Cathedral once, very impressive building. I wasn't impressed with the services though, it was very commercial.
Lunch time here.
Wanda MM and my mother saw the Crystal Cathedral. Amazing. MM and my mom drove across the country twice.
My house is full of fresh cut flowers. Really makes things cheerful!
I'm still planning on going to market tomorrow.. Granddaughter may meet me..
She will need some flowers and so will Aaron if he shows!
Jo I just cut some fresh hydranga off my bush. Love them. BBL have ham in the over.

Anytime you need rain, just remind me to go wash the Buggy -
Whoo, thunder, haven't heard that for awhile.
Ham, oh Ham, I love it...now let me see, travel time to Baltimore...☺
xo Better hop off here til it stops - the "storm" that is.
I use to like to listen to Robert Schuller until it was apparent that they were getting greedy and not sincere in their sermons. Most of the TV ministers have gone astrayo:(:(

Hi everyone,
Well, Costume Lady has one-upped me with a letter to Obama. You go girl!
However, through the rain drops at Hidey House, I have some news I hope will cheer us. I received an email saying my letter to Wash,. Post will be published Monday. Sure hope some people with some clout happen to read it.
Back to finish chores.

Mema Jo,
I was told that the higher up we get the better. Since it is Homeland Security posing the potential threat, why not? I'll try another contact Monday.
Cheers,
Judie

Hi,
Costume Lady, you remind me of an earlier life -- POWER TO THE PEOPLE. Yes, I believe we can truly say we have made a good faith effort.
Cheers,
Judie
LOL Wanda I don't remember but that is ok. That is great I know he will appreciate it. I better get ready for Mass. Talk later tonight.
Storm has passed. Computer back on.

More bark is peeling at the Sycamore Palace...
Time to finish what I was doing if I can remember what it was before the rain started....I think I was cleaning out the car. Not that I am taking it anywhere, but it needed it !
Back in a little while. xo
Been working on Mom's paperwork...
Thunder and some lightening here now...would like some rain please (Can't believe I'm asking for rain!)

Back to the paperwork...no rain yet.
LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT:
(I juggled around some of the wording of Shirley's letter with her OK)
Mr. President,
Did you know that there is a BALD EAGLE nest in the District of Columbia?
Of course, you know, that the Bald Eagle is our national symbol. Did you
know that that nest is being threatened by proposed construction being
plannd by the Department of Homeland Security? The nest is on the campus
of the old Saint Elizabeth's Hospital, where there is still an area that
can support them.
It is not the proposed building that is a threat to the eagles: the threat
is a proposed road leading to he back of the building. This project is
still in the planning stages, so it is not too late to make changes.
Bald eagles mate for life, and they return to the same nest year after
year. We believe these eagles deserve the right to be left alone so they
can rear their young, undisturbed. Surely the Department of Homeland
Security can plan around their needs.
We do appreciate your taking the time to consider what you may be able to
do to help in this matter.
For more information about these eagles, see Faye Fiore's July 4th article
in the Los Angeles Times.
Sincerly,
Wanda Wright

Looks like the heavy rain is passing by Frederick. Hope they get at least a little rain. May be some more later if it doesn't dissapate.
Out of here for now.
BBL
Hi,
Sorry to keep bogging you down but thought this might be interesting. Another communication from the Wash. Post (person on editorial staff) saying he is surprised the paper had not carried this story and maybe my letter will get things going. Had no idea one could still deal with a "real" person these days.
Okay, thanks for your support.
Judie
Wow, Judie, you are making excellent contacts. Thank you for sharing that information.
Wow, Judie, hope they do an article.
Peaches are great, Jo. Picked some up last weekend...they are now nice and ripe...yum.
Bye...storm again.
More rain and a Rainbow here on Pendleton Drive ☺
Didn't get much rain here...
Awesome.....Sharon talks of God's Music box, I guess this is His Painting....
Here neither Paula ...a quickie...just enough to make things steamy
Have some nephews and nieces and great's of the same category in town, going to make a visit for awhile.
Best wishes for a Good Evening to all ☺ xoxo ♥
Sent a news tip to CNN about the eagle nest. Here is a link to their news tip page:

Back again.. THAT was a decent storm! Can tell that it rained now. Everything looks thankful, if you know what I mean!!
Got the shrimp off the grill just in the nick of time...and they were delicious!! Made some gArlic-cheese bisquits to go with it--tasted allmost like Red Lobsters' do!
More good work, Judie and Shirley. TY!
You are all making me hungry for shrimp! Can someone send me the recipe? It sounds like something I would like to try.
No rain here and the sun is shining brightly!! I hope we can start drying out around here.
Just got an email off to Obama. I checked the box labeled "reposne requested"---yeah, right!
Thanks, Lynn. I was going to ask you for the recipe, too. I just copied it. Will probably use it this weekend.
Makes my mouth water!
That sounds very easy and very good. I'll have to watch for a shrimp sale! Thanks for the recipe.
Here's something else to make us mad and sad:
Boston Zoo
Definitely, Lynn. The bad economy is causing so many sad problems.
I had steak on the grill and some yellow squash from the garden. Still waiting on my zucchini...it got planted late.
Aww the baby pygmy hippo at the end of the article is cute!
Gotta go tend to friends kitty...bbialw
I put them om a skewer, Paula....but still a few fell off as they shrank! Wasn't sure how you had done it. Tasted scrumptious, so thanks for clueing us in!
Time for the race---Loretta, you watching??
I always thank my old boyfriend Rick when I make those...he turned me onto them.
So now ya'll can thank him too, lol
Gonna go tackle some more paperwork...
I have been home watching TV show since Mass and then dinner out. We really didn't get the rain! :(
I'll check in a little later on this
evening.....
I am off to read. Roger and I are off in search of a Scarlet Tanager tomorrow morning.
Quiet evening! Hope everyone has enjoyed their day!
Good Night All
Pleasant dreams and peaceful sleep
Prayers for all our need being said

Hi Jo, it is a quiet evening.
I am about ready to call it quits for the day.
I am calling it quits for the day.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Jumping on late.
For Deb if you see that Scarlet Tanager, I will be watching for pictures, might be the only one I "see" this season !
Hello to whoever is still here ☺
Ooooops just missed Costume Lady :(
Guess it has been a long long day for you and the Captain.
I am hearing shots, or fireworks from our Nest Cam, only two so far.
Was at a picnic and re-united with a nephew, a niece, their spouses and children, and some other assorted relatives-in-law -
All kinds of good grilled food there too but no shrimp.
The kids were precious!
Well, maybe it is thunder....
Lynn
That would be Dwain's two oldest, Sarah and Matt and their families, and assorted Donaldsons and their families too...Diane, Darlene, Jimmy, Donnie Boo
Chicks no parent at Finneys.
Can't tell you what's at Finland.
:(
Time to get out the travel bags and start packing.
I'll be watching for any Night Owls...☺
I'm gonna call it quits here too...done with papers for today!
Catch ya'll in the a.m.....then heading down to Mom's for the day.
Hey Margy, hope you have a wonderful trip!
By the way before I forget for the dozenth time: NCTC Eagle Cam is still First on Beakspeak as most watched for yesterday, and last week - ☺
Thanks Paula !
We head out bright and early 4:45 Monday Morning...I think I will be ready -
Good Night to you...and hope your day tomorrow is a good one. xoxo
Cool story: In London, 30 pianos, labeled "Play Me, I'm Yours" have been placed on corners and under bridges and other locations throughout the city...for anyone to play, anytime! Not a single one has been vandalized or stolen, and all are getting played! Isn't that neat?
No I think it is gunfire....hope someone is not out poaching somewhere....
That IS Cool, Hedgie...I could play chopsticks, that's about It ! ♪ ♫
But Helen, Ceil, and Mary Margaret could play some tunes !
Back in a little while for final good night..
God Bless Us, Every One
I am sure everyone has headed to bed and I am about to!
Another 100 degree day today. Yuk!
Went to a beautiful wedding this afternoon. Came home and mowed and did yard work. Jack soaked himself with the water house about 4 times while mowing and weed eating. He said it really worked.
I am off to bed. Just want to say hi. After this next week we are going to be home for a while. I will try to get on more often then.
Nite all!
Sweet dreams!
It's raining at Loch of the Lowe's and the view is poor due to an overhanging branch...
those Osprey chicks are set to fledge "any day now" according to their diary.
Loch of the Lowe's Scotland
On that link I just posted, you will need to scroll down to Cam 1 then hit the play button. Might not work for some computers, depending on your operating system
++GOOD NIGHT/MORNING++
JIM
Good morning. Thunder here, but it shouldn't amount to much, I hope. Have to get ready.
Have a good day!
Margy, beautiful shots this morning. No overhanging branch. One has fledged, or is branching, maybe. Other two are restless. Someone is operating the camera, showing all of the birds.
Morning, all.
Quiet at the nest.
Have a fun trip, Lolly!
Morning, Shirley
Looking at Margy's Loch of the Lowes link . . .
Morning, Paula.
Nice view....haven't watched them in awhile
Yes. When I first saw it, the cam was on the one that has left the nest, then it panned over to the nest.
I hear Hidey in the distance.
My camera had to be refreshed. I was looking at the Washington Post, but found nothing except a cute video of a cat fetching and a puppy chasing ice cubes.
I just looked at the National Geographic website. They have a nice picture of the panda cake.
Must shower and get ready for church.
I just found this legal document regarding the proposed road at St. Elizabeth's that is quite interesting. They are concerned with the destruction of trees, etc., at the site. Lots of names of people we might want to contact.
Georgetown Law Document
Gotta shower and head out...catch ya'll this evening!
