Just stopping in to say Deb so sorry to hear about Corey's death. Such a shame. For some reason God called him home early. Sympathies to you and your family. Prayers for Lynn's former coworkers grandson.
Good night all.

Time for me to turn in. Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. Nothing is certain yet, but it looks like it could be a problem with the insulin pump. We won't know anything definite for a few days. We also don't know if the problem was with the pump or Corey keeping it in the right working condition. No plans will be made until my cousin's brother arrives from Hawaii (that is where he lives).

A goodnight from me, too. Prayers for all, with some special ones for many. Peaceful rest. Talk to all tomorrow.

I sent the response to Lynn's letter to Faye Fiore. This is her response.

I am not an expert in these things.

Hi Shirley, yes I am aware they are staying the legal distance from the nest. It's the destruction of 12 acres of protected habitat for the road the worries some environmentalists. There are two existing entrances some feel should be used, avoiding need for the road and loss of the trees.
Sounds like they are moving ahead with their original intention.

Thanks for the update.

Hi all! I know most of you have gone to bed. Sweet dreams and God bless.

Deb, my heart goes out to you and your family. Such a loss. Keeping you and family in my prayers.

I have been burying myself tonight in senseless TV and computer games.
I have been attempting to forget the Gus situation. His Mom came to pick him up around 1:30. He was very excited to see her. They have to file again in a different county. It had been filed in the wrong county. Sounds like to incompetent lawyers to me!

Wish I could paint a picture of the whole situation for you. I guess you are my therapy. Gina had a poor childhood, deserted by her Mother, abused by a stepmother and no support from her father. She is NOT my type, I really do not like being around her. She is cheap looking, always exposing her cleavage, had a boob job, anorexic looking. Am I being judgemental? She has serious health problems. Has to do with her hip (recent surgery) and is therefore seriously handicapped. She presently has a malpractice suit going. Her husband is very handsome, from a wealthy family, a very self centered, over bearing fighter pilot. He is accusing her of abusing her pain medicine, sleeping all the time, and being an unfit parent. She says he is angry, abusive. She has gone on and on about it. All I have is her word. I know nothing.....and she wants me to witness. I told her no. Jack and Laurel say I should. So, tomorrow I am calling her and telling her I will say what I know and it is this....Gus is a happy, well behaved little boy. He is polite...wish my own grand-kids were as polite. He missed his mommy last night and was thrilled to see her today. He never mentioned his father. He is not overly clingy with her...he genuinely missed her. She did drill him (for my benefit) and he said not so good things about his daddy. But, I can not say anything about that. She was drilling him.

Well, I have written a book. I have been crying all afternoon. I do not want to do this. How do I know she is telling the truth? My instincts are to not trust her. How can she afford to take care of him? But, she has raised him. He has been gone most of Gus' life. I know for sure he taught him to swim when he was 2 by throwing him in the pool. Seriously!

Excuse me for sounding off. I know this blog is not for this. I am just miserable. Please do pray for Gus.

Hi, everyone,
Just checking in momentarily after getting home from school.
Since I'm 'plumb wore out', I'm just going to say a quick good night to all. Prayers being said for everyone, hugs to all, a special "Hello" and a HUGE hug for little Gus, (and for everyone, for that matter!) and a good night to Hidey, Belle and Lib, and Spidey.
Talk to you in the morning. Sweet dreams!

Good morning everyone! Just barely glanced back at a little bit of yesterday's blog. I am so sorry for your loss Deb. And, Lolly, it has been my experience to always follow my gut! I believe that is where God speaks to me.

We are still working on the kitchen, neverending job for sure. Stayed at Mrs. Riffe's Sunday night and yesterday after being at the lake all weekend. Hopefully, we can get everything wrapped up in the kitchen this week and then start on Mattie's room. Work, work, work!

I see an empty nest this morning, hopefully Hidey will pop in for a visit soon.
