Wednesday Part 2
For a few weeks now we have been working with a FWS partner, My Outdoor TV, to figure out a way to get our eagle cam video out to more folks, with smooth video and sound. My Outdoor TV is a fantastic website that is filled with video programming for folks interested in a variety of outdoor activities, soon to include the NCTC Eagle Cam.
This should solve the shaky video and lack of audio caused by the tight bandwidth.
We will be changing the link as soon as testing is completed. The only difference in what you'll see, besides smooth video and audio, is that you will see the video on a My Outdoor TV site, which includes some ads and a variety of other links. It's a really cool site, and we really appreciate their interest in working with us.
More soon.

What a pair at BWE...one chick has tail under parent...other one has head tucked under parent, LOL
Margy - I didn't see that link you saw...I saw the one across the dark gray strip near the top that was just words...says "live eagle cam"
Snow white is hiding her white head!
Snow in the nest at Kent, and it looks quite wet and soggy at LW
I guess I just came to it the round-about way, Paula... and others, but your suggestion is easier...and does the same things.
Sorry folks...
Bear of Little Brain here...

Those two white things in our nest remind me of cuttle bones !
wingersizing at BWE - sort of
Margy - what in the world are cuttle bones?
And those are half eaten fish, BTW
cuttle bones...we used to put them in with our parakeets, something to sharpen there little beaks
good Lord, been posting on old thread at times.....need to get my act together
A cuttlebone is not actually a bone, but rather the internal shell of the Cuttlefish, a small, squid-like cephalopod. In the Cuttlefish, the cuttlebone is filled with gasses and helps control the fish's buoyancy in the water. While for years people have harvested and used cuttlebones for various purposes, the most widely recognized use of the cuttlebone is as a supplement and exercise toy for birds.
The cuttlebone is a lightweight, oblong, chalky object that is mainly composed of calcium -- making it an ideal way to supplement a birds's calcium intake.
Cuttlebones have a grainy texture, reminiscent of pumice. This texture can also offer benefits to parrots as it is helpful in wearing down overgrown beaks. It's recommended to always keep a cuttlebone in your bird's cage to promote beak and jaw exercise.
You can usually find a cuttlebone in most grocery or pet supply stores.
I just had a Brown Cowbird in my yard, mixed in with the Common Grackles.
The things you learn on here. I had heard of Cuttlebones somehow, somewhere. Now I know what it is.
I used to have them in the cage with my Zebra finches...a few years back when I had them.
cuttle bones that is...
Thanks, Mits !
Deb I love the Cowbird! Those color contrasts, black and brown, and I like the "watery" sound they make !
The Heron cam has an egg at WW!
Okay, back to my camera directions.
Was hoping to go check Blue Bells today at Swinging Bridge, but it's too soggy to do that...

Lousy wet weather there too !

I hadn't ever seen one that close up before, Margy, just out on cows!
I wish Mary and I could have gotten closer to the Heronry we found, we are going to try going by water once it warms up.
The Osprey chicks in CC are so cute, and big! All three are peeking over the edge of the nest.
Okay, had to check that one too, CC - and you are so right, Deb !
That black plastic debris often looks like a breathing animal of some sort ..
