Morning Sharon and Norma! Guess earlier birds are out and about, and others must be sleeping in!! Awful fire news from Oklahoma and tornados in Arkansas.....so much devastation.
Once this morning, our Eagle Parent let out with quite a chortle and then both she or he, and the Baby looked up at the branches....wonder what they were inspired about... Sharon did you hear that? I think we were both on about the same time...

So glad you are enjoying our Special birds, and staying around to talk to us ! You can tell we love all the questions...anbd have a blast returning the answers!
Yes, the Southern Delegation is growing in numbers.
Good morning! Sort of quiet this morning. Usually when I get on there are more blogs to catch up on.
Cool here this morning and the wind is still blowing. Yesterday the sky turned grey and we had smoke in the air. Texas fires west of us, lovely, just lovely!
Just checked OK and they have white tops on the lake. Also, could see one dud egg still there in the nest.
Had to look hard for our eaglet, he is hard to see when asleep and not moving around.
MORNIN' LOLLY!----Your avatar certainly shows that SPRING has reached TEXAS!!----Your flowers are AWESOME!----(even if you did quit making home made bread)----ho!
see Norma that is why you have to read the posts on the threads and you would have know that, you don't even have to go to PA site except to watch the cam.....we report everything here...lol
Yes, spring is definitely here. We have so much in bloom. The roses on the front fence are spectacular and have not reached their peak. My first poppy opened yesterday, right next to a dutch iris that has been open for several days. And, the clematis on the "zebo" (gazebo} is blooming.
SISSY---You need to take a break & watch the 'LITTLE PRINCE XI'!!---HE is atop the hammock---on the end of the logs----He looks as if he is trying to drive the log!---HE IS THE COOLEST!!!
OSPREY on the CONN nest---Her feathers are spread---almost like she is tenting--but not quite!----I LOVE that site----all they need is a 'blue bear'! ho!
I found an OHIO PEREGRINE FALCON located on the ledge of the RHODES TOWER in Columbus Ohio!!----I had to hunt & peck to find it!!---She 'SCOUT' has 3 eggs----due the end of April!!
Thanks to all of you who post here. Someone posted the beakspeak website yesterday for me and my boys spent the evening checking out the other nests. Hidey is our first love, although really enjoying the OK nest too...They are so amazing i am having a hard time doing anything other than watching these cams!
No, I didn't email Steve, Lynn, but If Hidey goes over the edge, call me and Gene and I will rescue him. Gene can keep Mom & Dad from attacking me while I pick up Hidey. I'll just keep him til NCTC opens up. I have plenty of squirrels around here for food:)
I'm getting ready to have some Good Friday quiet time from Noon to Three.... turning off all the electronic things and telephone, work will have to page me if they need me.
Will have all of you in my thoughts, and prayers for Wellness and Serenity, especially.
Greetings everyone. Just want you to know I'm alive and well dodging thunderstorms today. I'm still watching the nest and Hiddy and lurking here some. Just too busy to talk a lot. I'll keep in touch.
I'm not familiar with the 12-3 ritual....is it a special Catholic observance? I am always so sad on this day so I am going to keep busy with cleaning. And just had a phone call from a friend who is home for the week from FL to see her mom and dad...going to meet up with her for lunch tomorrow...a pleasant surprise. Is the guard shack number listed anywhere? Wanda....we don't want you to get arrested!! BBL.
Hedgie, Deb. It's been many years ... but I think 12-3 were the hours that Christ was on the cross; so there is always a vigil during those hours on Good Friday.
P.S. I can't seem to find the comment that made you wonder about '12-3,' but I don't believe that is the official name of vigil (which name I've forgotten). It's just the hours during which it takes place.
Thanks, Jim....don't remember it being part of Presbyterian observances. Makes sense, as you explained it, tho'. We had (I think my sister still has it) a beautiful huge oil painting of Christ on the Cross that my dad painted when he was a young man. The canvas was frayed and the paint badly cracked, but it was so special. Wish I had it now.
Both O's at BWO now, and it looks like they've been busy bringing in reeds... too bad they don't have heavier sticks from trees and bushes available to them.
You see them in other Osprey nests, but I don't think they've had any for this nest for at least two years.
Think he was just checking things out...think he went up in the tree.
Belle has grabbed that fish from the back of the nest...Hidey has waddled over...he wants more lunch, I guess. Belle is eating with her backside to Hidey.
Glad to see that Red joined us for a few lines!! Had to laugh at the whitewash comment earlier...think it was Paula's!! Can you imagine how much worse it's going to get?? Just hope he doesn't hit the cam lens!!!!
Hi Folks Just signing in to say Hi and wish all of you a Happy Easter before I get some sleep. I work the overnight tonight.
Hedgie I love your avatar today thank you so very much.
Welcome again all newbies.
I will sleep tomorrow some but will try to stop in and have cam on some. I am off on Easter but will spend am in church and pm with friends. Then have some very special plans for the evening if the weather hold.
Hope you rest well, Glo, and have a good shift tonight. Hope that the weather is GREAT for whatever you have planned for Sunday evening!! Happy Easter.
Hello, back from shopping for the M&M girls....getting ready for Church services.....don't know where the 12 to 3 started and how, just was something we did at our house, and I did some searching on the web and it depends on whose gospel you read and what clock whether Roman or Jewish, many different determinations and discrepancies out there...so take your pick:)
Regarding the Noon to Three observance, yes, for me it has always been what I had been taught was the time of the crucifixion, leading up to the final hour....I suppose it might be a Catholic thing, but not sure really about that. I liked your posted verse from Matthew, Sharon .It was a peaceful quiet time here, but I have to admit I fell asleep after bringing to mind all the names I was including in my prayers....it is a very long list. Sometimes I just say,"Everyone in the World" because everyone in the world needs a prayer.
Good Evening Wishes to all....
And Yes....Hidey makes me so very nervouse being that close to the edge too, but I trust that the parents are keeping close watch of their little toddler...☺
Sharon, I think he's just a little too brave yet! Nest housekeeping has apparently cleaned out all food remnants. Checked beakspeak, and we are still not on the most-viewed lists. But had a lot of trouble getting live cam up today, so seems there must be a lot of viewers!
I'm going down for a snooze, have to go to the office later to make some fire investigation tapes... hoping that eventually our local arsonist/s will be identified and apprehended.
Good Evening Everybody!! Went to TWO groceries after work looking for currants to put in Polish babka bread. Nobody's got them. Don't need much--am sustituting dried mixed berries. Now it's too late to bake it. AARRGGHH
It's been a quiet day at my house - I hope Lib & Belle are going to use all those new sticks to build a high baby gate for our Hidey! I see the guard standing duty on the edge!
Adult is in the nest with the 2 BW eaglets tonight.
I can't get the LW streaming feed up/running. I thought that NBG had a night light ? I'm not have much luck viewing this late in the evening.. Back to the oldies - No snow at the Snowman cam and no raccoons in the PA woods... lol
Wanda - I don't see any problems with any of our newcomers. There is a link to the blog on the new cam page...so we should be expecting them and welcoming them...don't scare everyone away.
Evening all. Wanda you did not put your foot in your mouth. You were fine. Most of my Easter things are done. Will dye eggs tomorrow morning. Hope everyone had a Blessed Good Friday. Jim and I helped to decorate the Church for Easter. We have 3 Churches and one priest. So Holy Thursday was at one. Good Friday another and Easter Vigil will be at the Church we helped decorate. It smelled so good. All the flowers. We are coming up on the split so I will say pleasant dreams

Greetings everyone. Just want you to know I'm alive and well dodging thunderstorms today. I'm still watching the nest and Hiddy and lurking here some. Just too busy to talk a lot. I'll keep in touch.
I saw you briefly on BRS blog the other day, Red, take care.
Hope you are feeling better, Red.
Thanks for checking in!
Good to see some Dadsters on here today! Hello Jim and Red!
been keeping an eye on the RTH at Portland, and she will not get up.
God Bless everyone, talk to you all later:)
Hi everyone. Just checking in to see Hidey alone and an Osprey in BWO. Off to check the Portland Red-tail to see it any hatch has happened.
Is the guard shack number listed
anywhere? Wanda....we don't want you to get arrested!!
BBL.
I hadn't heard of it either, Lynn, I was thinking ti must be an East Coast thing, but guess not.
Parent, our nest, looks like Belle.
Parent in the nest!
Hidey takes a poop shoot, and is ready for lunch!
Hidey is doing more nestorations!
Wasn't really lunch, more like a couple of bites of nestovers...
Hedgie, Deb. It's been many years ... but I think 12-3 were the hours that Christ was on the cross; so there is always a vigil during those hours on Good Friday.
I don't know if it is only Catholic or not.
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
P.S. I can't seem to find the comment that made you wonder about '12-3,' but I don't believe that is the official name of vigil (which name I've forgotten). It's just the hours during which it takes place.
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
Thanks for the info Jim. Helen and Margie were talking about it.
Still all three eggs in Portland.
BBL
Well, I am wondering if Lib is sitting right there to keep the little turd from falling off. Working pretty well if that is the intention.
“From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land.” Matthew 27:45
Ok, I need Hidey to go back to hiding. Making me nervous here.
Getting a little too close to the edge!!!!
Ok, I am thinking if Belle bring some food in, then Hidey would turn away from the edge of that daggone nest.
Sara, we go through this every year but that does not make it any easier to watch.
Has one ever fell? Just tell me no.
Both O's at BWO now, and it looks like they've been busy bringing in reeds... too bad they don't have heavier sticks from trees and bushes available to them.
You see them in other Osprey nests, but I don't think they've had any for this nest for at least two years.
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
No, one never has, and that is the truth.
I don't think I can watch. :)Liberty needs to kick him back in the nest.
Sara, did you see that I live in Bluefield?
I did but I was a little busy this morning and didn't get a chance to respond.
I keep minimizing the screen and then putting it back up. Driving me nuts.
Now before we were worried one eaglet would knock another one out of the nest. Oh my, Libery just moved away from in front of Hidey.
There we go, turned back towards the middle! YEAH!
Now Hidey just needs to sit there. No moving...
Parent rustled up some nestovers and Hidey is eating now, sitting in the middle of the nest.
Lib just arrived!
Think he was just checking things out...think he went up in the tree.
Belle has grabbed that fish from the back of the nest...Hidey has waddled over...he wants more lunch, I guess. Belle is eating with her backside to Hidey.
Ok, so I guess that has been Belle in the nest the whole time. Thought it was Lib.
Belle took off, not sure if she went up in the tree of not.
Hidey just sitting there with those big ol feetsies sticking out....parent just flew off the tree and behind the nest!
LOl Sharon, sometimes it sure is hard to tell, ain't it.
Now that is amazing. Trying to build up that side of the nest!
yeah, way to make us feel a little better!
Doing home improvements to build up the sides a little.
Glad to see that Red joined us for a few lines!!
Had to laugh at the whitewash comment earlier...think it was Paula's!! Can you imagine how much worse it's going to get?? Just hope he doesn't hit the cam lens!!!!
Parent is back!!
Looks like Lib
Welcome, Itl.
There went Lib off the back
thanks, paula. this cam is my new favorite show (just turned on to it yesterday), and i'm looking fwd to talking to ya'll.
Hidey has the biggest feet!

Move over, Hidey! Stay away from the edge!
This has been a nerve-wracking day watching Hidey. He is geting a little too brave for me!
here come the geese
lol....the geese flew right by the nest and woke up Hidey
Regarding the Noon to Three observance, yes, for me it has always been what I had been taught was the time of the crucifixion, leading up to the final hour....I suppose it might be a Catholic thing, but not sure really about that. Both eagles at our nest.
Lib took off, Belle is still eating.
Whoa, incoming tree. Look out in the nest. Hidey ducked but got hit with the stick first. Now both parents are eating.
Any idea what Lib is eating with such relish??
Looks bony. Squirrel, maybe?
Good Evening Everybody!!
Went to TWO groceries after work looking for currants to put in Polish babka bread. Nobody's got them. Don't need much--am sustituting dried mixed berries. Now it's too late to bake it.
AARRGGHH
OH NO! There's a leg across the lens. But I can see adult's blinking eyes at edge of nest. Guess she's keeping Hidey in.
Spidey is back and more than a leg! Yuck
Back to the oldies - No snow at the Snowman cam and no raccoons in the PA woods... lol
Jo = NBG having some trouble with their cam...
So I have been feeding the fishes, hamster, turtles and frog!
Hi Paula - I didn't take time to read anything on NBG. Can you get the LW cam up?
Evening, all.
Long evening, lots to do...oil change, Walmart, Grocery store, check on friends kitty...
Heading to Mom's tomorrow, be back tomorrow night...trying to get stuff done tonight...falling behind!
So long as the food gets done, that's all I really care about!
Hi Wanda - Did you go for crab legs tonight or are you holding your appetite for Easter dinner?
Paula - All my family is bringing the food on Sunday.. Lucky me!
Wanda - I don't see any problems with any of our newcomers. There is a link to the blog on the new cam page...so we should be expecting them and welcoming them...don't scare everyone away.
Sounds great, Jo. It's just me and the kids and gkids, but still plenty to fix. Gotta vacuum and all that good stuff too...
I got LW slo mo up
When I open the Kent cam, I get LW live feed.
I think you need to watch if a newcomer posts a link on their first post. That is what happened last year.
How did you do that Deb? Did you need to wait a long time before it came up?
Deb - I'm sorry - you said KENT - I can get that Live Feed too. What about your LW Live Feed........
Me too, Deb...I did accidently click it first thing, but realized my mistake and tried LW...their live feed link isn't working..
digging in the bowl now...pretty light way up in that tree!
Hello and good night, went to church, then dinner, watching TV now, lots of stuff to do tomorrow..take care
Jo, we are both getting LW live on the Kent link...not Kent on the Kent link....from the WDFW page.
I don't know how it happened, I went to check the Kent nest and instead I am watching the LW nest. It says Kent at the top, weird.
I am off to bed, have to be up at 5, Roger and Mary getting to my house at 6. Night all.
Have fun tomorrow, Deb.
Sorry...post has been deleted. I put my foot in my mouth again, didn't I? My Bad.
All Right ! I got it figured out now..
I am watching the LW live feed on the Kent link... Oh Well! Must keep things interesting.
Wanda Thanks for such a quick response on my email. You're not BAD! lol At least not all the time! lol
Good Night Ceil and Deb
