Hope it's a good day for all. We had a nice early morning rain here in Martinsburg, clearing up nice now...
I think the Finnish breezes have carried the baby feathers across the countryside...one chick seemed to post as a sentry for hours, now another in the nest, doing nestorations.
Good Wednesday morning to all; t-bird, Maggie and Helen! Darn, I missed the eagles again this morning in our nest. I got up around 6:30; Too late, but at least t-bird saw them and Maggie for a short time. What a wonderful way to start the day.
Helen, glad to see you made it back from the beach in one piece yesterday. Traffic has been horrible down here all summer. Like you said, no one seems to be worrying about the gas prices. I only go out when I have to.
The poor Hobbie chick is all alaone in the nest this morning. Looks like he/she slept all night on what was left of her sibbling. I watched yesterday and it was sad to see her/him; didn't seem to know what to do. Just the day before, they were both roughhousing and having a grand time.
Finney's nest brought another sad sight yesterday. Hopefully the suffering is over for that poor bird. Juvie just took off from the nest and it is now MT.Probably looking for the missing one.
Beach has been crowded, but Coastal Highway, is an 8 lane dual highway, so I go out whenever I want, drove up to Lewes, Delaware the other day for lunch, once you get into Delaware it goes down to a 4 lane dual highway, but it was still doable.
You must think I am nuts, but she got up on this rock, splayed out with her back end off the rock and then dropped probably poop, now that I don't see anyone running to look. She just climbed up to the top of the rocks and is looking down.
Helen, did I read on here where you have to go to the zoo today? If so, keep plenty of fluids in you. It is predicting that down here we will be around 97 this afternoon. Thank the good Lord for air conditioning.
Good morning everyone. Thought Mei was going to have a little one last night. She was very restless. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBYN. I am running really late so everyone have a great day. Where is our Norma? Thought her guests had left.
Good morning everyone. Happy Birthday Robyn. I see I missed the eagles this morning!! In Falls Mills at my m-i-l. She had 2 baby deer and a mommy in her yard when we got here this morning. That was a treat. Ya'll pray for her. She is not doing very well again, gonna see today about maybe getting her in a rehab hospital or something.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... After sitting at that bar for so long yesterday, I should have a hangover! LOL Bless Margy's heart, she was ready to come and get me. I hope everyone knew I was just kidding. I do that every now and then.
I was shocked to see no babes in the Finland nest last night. Either a predator got the wounded bird or someone climbed up and took him out. Either way, he is no longer ON HIS OWN. From the looks of all that white down in the nest, I would say he is no longer suffering. We have certainly had a lot of sadness this year, but then, our Mountaineers have given us more joy than I ever thought I could have from a bird. THANK YOU LIB AND BELL.
I keep looking for someone to wake up and come on here with me, but you all must be enjoying the beautiful morning outside. I was out for a while, and it is so fresh from the rain and my garden is squeeking "thank you"..."thank you". We are being rewarded for our efforts with some beautiful tomatoes, beans and peppers. Squash is not doing well. We've been getting our squash from my Mom's. Her soil is wonderful. Everything she grows tastes much better than those grown in our soil.
Hello, Steve. Where are you this morning? I need someone to talk to. My grandson finally left and I have my 'puter back and no one to talk to. I hope you all are not mad at me for the PRANK that I pulled yesterday!!
Do you remember when the last set of Juvies stopped coming to the nest? I miss seeing all three of them together so much. It's is hard to believe that three babes from the same parents can have such different personalities. Were they so different than last nestlings?
I'm so glad Thelma decided to join us on here. She is our morning wake up caller, along with Margy. She and Margy are two great addition to our family!
Good Morning my favorite Jokester! Good Morning everyone out in Eagleland. I wish I had seen the nest this morning... too early for me! Maybe later since we know Lib & Belle are back from their vacation. They say that Galveston TX wasn't hit hard by the storm & they are hoping all vacationers return... Watching Mei.... so restless... Come on gal.. Mits is there to watch you birth that cub!!!
They have Mei on both cams.. She is in the corner in her birthing den - Mits said last evening that she was there when she gave birth to Tai....... Just like waiting for a cracked egg to hatch....... lol
Good morning everyone. Happy Birthday, Robyn. Saw the article about Mason in our paper today. Wanda...of course we all knew you were kidding! BUT....if you needed us, we would have been there! Hope everything is okay w/ Steve and the NCTC group. THis is very unusual, isn't it?
Chrissy, I am about to go crazy watching Mei, hoping that maybe she is about to give birth. That would be absolutely so wonderful. We will pray and pray.
Same here to Sissy pet,,,,mad isn't the word,, I feel for the sweet Lady,, she must be so confused poor darling,,,,,
Hi Lynn pet how's it going pet,,,,,
The excitement is killing me,, the nerves just about holding up,, and i've got the biggest butterflies in my tummy ever,,,,
Bamboo pulling again,,,, paw licking and if she doesn't move that ball from her back parts,, we just might end up with a juggling hopflu new born cub !!!
Upside down now,,,, Has she been trained at the " Chinese State Circus",,,,

Helen, I been peeking in from time to time to see how things are going with Mei. Still hoping for good news.
PAULA - PICTURE/EMAIL FINALLY CAME THROUGH THIS MORNING, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
MITS: IF IT'S ANY CONSOLATION, MY COMPUTER IS A SNAIL THESE DAYS!
XO
Candy, I was really optimistic last night, not so much this morning:(
not running like a snail, Magpie, just having connection problems, and don't have time to investigate
MEGAN:
Martinsburg Journal has a story about Mason Ellsworth this morning, Panhandle Section...

Helen, did Mei just have her baby or does she poop out from under her tail?
she just pooped....
You must think I am nuts, but she got up on this rock, splayed out with her back end off the rock and then dropped probably poop, now that I don't see anyone running to look. She just climbed up to the top of the rocks and is looking down.
Giggle, giggle Helen. That was the first Panda Poop I have seen. :)
that is how she likes to go to the bathroom
Congrats, Candy:):)
Helen, you must be a brave soul to drive in all those lanes, but I bet you can go wherever like you said faster.
I have a system...when going North, use right lane, when coming South use left lane, and I have some back roads I know about.
Helen, did I read on here where you have to go to the zoo today? If so, keep plenty of fluids in you. It is predicting that down here we will be around 97 this afternoon. Thank the good Lord for air conditioning.
yes, am off to the zoo today for my afternoon shift and monthly meeting tonight, and I will stay hydrated
Hope you get some good news while you are there about a new Panda babie. :)
well time is running out for a new cub to come:(
off to get some coffee, been up since 6, and now want to go back to sleep, but don't dare
I guess I'll do the same, Helen. You have a nice day on the Asian Trail.

BLESS YOU SHARON!...I was begining to think that I was on the wrong thread or something. Did you get to see a Mountaineer this morning?
No Wanda I didn't but Thelma told me about it when I got up! She was so excited!
Do you remember when the last set of Juvies stopped coming to the nest? I miss seeing all three of them together so much. It's is hard to believe that three babes from the same parents can have such different personalities. Were they so different than last nestlings?
