the wedding weekend was fun...it rained during the Mass at church, with lots of thunder and lightning, but the reception weather was great, a tad muggy, but no rain, it was held on a lawn over-looking the Severn River, you could see the City Of Annapolis and the Naval Academy across the river....30 acres.....surrounded this house....
I bet we started watching it while you were on your trip, Wanda. There were 4, but something happened to one, luckily the cam was down, so we didn't see it.
Just got home from work. Wish I had been home to watch the herons...I have been watching them a lot lately and wondered when they would head out of the nest. White Storks noisy and active right now. There's something to be said about working night shifts...you can watch the overseas cams and see some action. Good Night Anyone still up and reading.
Make that the chirpy birds noisy at White Stork nest. Deer at the salt lick now in Pennsylvania. I've seen small antlers on some of them. Maybe, fawns will show up soon. Raccoons should be out there overnight too.
Turkeys at PA, both eaglets in the nest at BW- osprey on platform at BW- update on the eaglet form NBG from yesterday-UPDATE: May 31 2008, 6pm by Dr. Mark Ruder at the Wildlife Center of Virginia
The Bald Eaglet was originally eating well off of a chopped plate and took bits of mice from the forceps. On Thursday and Friday, however, the bird began to occasionally refuse to eat. Today, the bird refused to eat anything off of a chopped plate OR from the forceps and was force-fed at each meal. These force-feedings are not going to help in our attempt to minimize stress for the eaglet. The bird also dropped a small amount of weight, from 2.26 kg to 2.15 kg. Our goal is to increase the bird's body mass to help it withstand anesthesia.
No big change in the lesion, although it is difficult to objectively evaluate its growth. If anything, it is slightly larger than yesterday, especially on the underside of the beak (within the oral cavity). Today was the first full day of interferon therapy, which we hope will stop the growth of the lesion.

Don't you want to know what is going on it the camera heron's head??
I'm glad we're getting to see it.
The little guy looks as though he would love to figure it all out! lol
That is funny how they just hid their heads into all those feathers on their breast!
Is it going to sleep like that? Never mind it moved.
Strong wind could blow him out of there!
Hi Jo & Deb, Just put Heron cam on---I thought it would be dark.
See wing or tailtip at top!
It is really windy in Delta.
GOOD EVENING EVERYONE finally have caught up on e-mails and posts....
OK girls, I came on to say good night, but I wanna see too. WHERE? Please.
PAULA I loved the video of the Saanich nest, thanks
We've been entertained tonight by the heronettes, now they are not doing much.

It sounds like a beautiful place.

I am going to go get ready for bed...
Good Night Everyone
Peace to you and yours
Remember that Suz said to go ahead & send her pictures from the cams - it's ok & she misses not receiving them.
I send her pictures of lots of nests daily!
Night Helen.
SO glad the wedding reception wasn't rained out!! Good timing.
Night everyone. I am going to watch a while longer and see if it comes down. Parent at nest.
It can't eat up there, I don't think.
How funny is that? I didn't know they built nests in a tree. For some reason, I thought it would be on the ground.
Night all who are leaving.
Pleasant Feather Dreams
They really fight over the food and only one gets it. Still in the tree. Oh a two fish delivery, so far.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SLEEP TIGHT

Delta awhile ago--both parents in & when Mom was feeding fish to chicks, a DASTARDLY blackbird bombed her again!
They are really pesky, aren't they?
Very peaceful sight at Delta, except for wind. Mom sitting behind sleeping chicks.
That's a good idea. Gotta finish some eve chores. Going to leave Black Stork cam on screen until shutdown & hope adult comes.
NIGHT ALL :>)
GOOD NIGHT, EVERYBODY....
Plenty of tech problems tonight. Not only is the live feed not working, but my Time Warner Internet ... Roadrunner is running like it has one leg broken.

Three osprey chicks getting a nice meal at Loch Garden.
Chilly morning here, 47°. Hope we get a reset on the live feed this morning, the 30 sec cam just ain't the same.
