Hello!!!!! Been lurking a bit this morning....actually just checking the cam every once in a while. Guess what?!! Been working in the yard. Yahooo!! Of course, now I am exhausted. 90 here.
I am so upset about Chrissy!! I was afraid of something like that. My prayer have been and will continue to be with her. Such a special lady!!
What's with Tiny, doesn't he know his fan club is sitting on pins and needles and not getting any thing else accomplished?! Just sitting and waiting for him.

Yep!!! Much better, thank you! Sinus infection gone, eyes doing better. Only problem is the eye lid is drooping a bit, hopefully that will clear up when the swelling goes down.
We had a trip planned and we were leaving this weekend. However, that has changed, postponed a wee bit.
Talking about taking a trip Lolly, Gene just came back from an errand in Hagerstown, Md. (25 mi. away) and said the cheapest gas he found was $4.09. EVERYTHING IS GOING UP. It is downright scary. Anything that uses oil products in any way and that really includes EVERYTHING. If the product is not made from petroleum products, it takes petroleum to deliver it, etc. It just goes on & on. On the news this morning, they said that the price of gas will go up even more and no end is in sight. God "HELP" America.
About time for Belle and Lib to start charging the kids rent!!! They made home so nice that the kids don't want to leave!

Pearl is not hard to identify. She is always ravenous and will never want for food. She will get it by hook or by crook. She is a survivor.

Herons are on, Delta Cam looks nice, PA falcon ledge: what a mess! still see four there. Allen's Hummingbird really big now.
Over the Water Finland, nice colors, and Saaksi Marjeniemi - I think something is going to happen there soon, have seen a restless osprey the last few days, sometimes two. Time to check back on the Eaglets then the White Stork.

There is an adult with the 2 in the Lake WA nest. I had viewed them alone in the nest earlier - they are getting pretty full grown! They can't hide behind the tree trunk anymore.
What are the children planning up there at 12 o'clock?
Looking at Barton's Cove eaglet -
He is now 8 weeks old and almost as large as the adult. They expect his first flight in about 4 weeks. Maybe he'll wait until July 4th and take off with a bang like a firecracker!

I had the COOLEST DAY EVER!!
well my BFF Jody, with whom I started the bird rescue, told me her water heater burst and flooded her laundry room, and would I come help with the birds...of course i said yes, BUT........a guy brought an injured quail and three eggs -- one of which was hatching! I got the see it hatch and pop out of the shell, and I was the first thing it saw and i got all kinds of pictures and some video and it was just so cool!!!!

My grandson has an incubator and hatches anything that is abandoned or whatever the circumstances may be. He was once brought a clutch of quail eggs and when they hatched they followed him everywhere. Cutest thing you ever saw.

Well, it is a definite heat wave in Bluefield. My room where I worked was at 90 degrees all afternoon with 3 fans going. Air conditioners that I had quit working last year. Went to my uncles this evening and he just so happened to have a window unit that he wasn't using anymore. God is so good!

Jo and Lolly, I watched those darn heronettes for 10 minutes before I posted that I thought one fledged. I hit publish and down it comes. They are all three down in the nest now. The high here today was 75, but we had sun all day, no rain in sight.

Checking emails and a prayer request was there for Sgt Steve McCoy..the young man that is down at the Burn Center at Ft Sam Houston. He was doing so well but right now he has taken a turn for the worst and his family is with him with great hope & fear. Pause just a moment to remember this American family during this difficult time.
