CHECK OUT the 'LITTLE PRINCE'!!---He is sitting with his back to the window in a large pile of bamboo---He seems to chose the longest stalk first----puts it way up in the air & slowly pulls it down before he eats it!!----WHAT a "SHOW OFF"----He is an ADORABLE little CLOWN!!!----(doesn't the ground look white out the window?)

DANA---What do you think is happening at TESORO?----It's funny when you look at that cam & the 'EAGLE ON WATCH' looks over toward the camera----so used to seeing him looking straight ahead!!
I haven't watched the MOOSE CAM---I only see 1 moose there this a.m.!!----Is that the last MOOSE?
It is yesterday's moose cam picture. It won't be light in Utah for awhile yet.
Norma I am not sure what is going on at Tesoro. Just watching now I truly thought the parent eagle was moving stuff around in nest. Like maybe a hatch. Yet I haven't seen other parent to come in like others do and both parents looking down into nest. If one did hatch by late this evening or tomorrow we should see feeding. Like you see at CC I. Boy are they busy parents!!!! Bringing in fresh nesting materials and food. PROUD PARENTS AT CC I (:
I wonder if eggs are hatching at CC2. I wish we could see down in the nest. The eagle was circling the nest and kept looking down. It has settled back down in the nest now.

That's ok, Norma, time zones are forgotten, I think on the internet. You click a button and you are somewhere else. I think I have resigned myself to never knowing for sure what it is. I heard back from the American Eagle Foundation again, 3 times! Even they can't agree, although I think the Red-tailed hawk man has presented the best argument. He even sent me pictures. I will see if I can cut and paste it smaller than the last one he sent.

DEB----Have you gotten to see the NORFOLK NEST?-----I just checked--& they are still checking it out!--It's a beautiful nest & a great site---later they have falcon sites, etc.----The cam is so close to them---makes you feel you are there at the nest!!

Yes, I got to see it yesterday with eagles in it, before it went down. They can sure zoom in close. It will be fun to see the action there.

I don't think CC1 could be having another hatch at this late date....I think the chicks are about 2 weeks old now.
Norma, I don't mind the snow at all. I am not thrilled with ice, this winter hasn't been too bad with ice. I have 4 wheel drive, so that makes it easier to get around when it gets deep.

No time to chat - but I ask for you all to pray for Baby Tessa. Born Sept 29 in NC (1 lb 9 oz)
It has been such a joy to watch her grow and gain strength. But surgery on her eyes last week has left her with infection and pnuemonia.

I HAVE A QUESTION: Karla (Butterfly Mama) told me of a Blog that is about a Premature baby and her progress since she was born. She was something like one and a half pounds and has gone up to 4 pounds now. She has had eye surgery and is not doing very well. Mother is asking for prayers.
Does anyone know the URL for this Blog? I can't find it; have tried all kinds of combinations. It is Nancy an Baby Tessa (North Carolina)

Yes I have been watching CC I and II and Tesoro most of morning. I did leave for awhile wanted to google something.
I did find where someone thinks an egg was hatched Dec 31st at CC I. I still think there are 2 chicks there. Remember yesterday at this nest was an intruder several times the parents had to go after it.
I am not sure yet waiting till later today or tomorrow on CC II. To see if they start bringing in food to feed a chick. If not no hatch.
Tesoro my thoughts are still hanging in there for them.
Oh, I see Karla has already been on here. I am still trying to bring up that site.
Look at Bai trying to climb over ZZ! She's so big! She made it, and didn't even knock the little one down. Woke her up again, though.
Good morning all, I will read after I get to work so I really don't know what is going on except its cold rainy and dark. Ok, the tree is down, everything put away, now I want spring. Bring on the daffodils. Not! that wont happen for a while. Burrr.I got to see Santa Cruse, and Santa Barbara island and got a few pictures when I was down there. I also got a picture of the juvie that hangs around his property. I couldn't get close enough to get any identifying marks. Butterfly girl I don't know who Tessa belongs to but working ob for so many years my heart is out to the parents. Prayers too. Speaking of that my son is interviewing for a very important job this morning that is desperately needed. Please pray that Gods will be done and peace for him. Hugs and loves. Out into that cruel,cold world for me..

Norma - Tessa's family are friends of a local friend.
It's been amazing watching her grow and develop. She quickly gained weight in December and was doing so well. It saddens my heart to see her now.

Morning, Jo! They'll have a wonderful time in Germany if they get out and about! Miserable if they stay on post and don't do anything. But there is so much you can do and see, it's just a lot of fun. Long flight, though.

I have been watching the PH eagles squabble over a branch one brought in. It was funny, they would get tangled up, oops, here we go again!

Norma - PH means Pelican Harbor, the Santa Cruz nest. They renamed the nest because they are hoping there will be more than one nest on Santa Cruz this year...
They are changing the name because they are planning to add more cams to the Santa Cruz Island. They are getting the name changed ahead of time, so they can name the new cam sites.
