My youngest granddaughter. 'MARLEY PARSONS' is 3 years old today!!---Her Mother says she is so keyed up----the ADORABLE little thing has been losing sleep just thinking about her PARTY this evening!!!---
Hi, eagle lovers. Been a long time since I've been on here. Haven't had much time to read the blog lately either. Went down to my Mom's near DC last weekend. My neice and nephew came over and we started cleaning out my brother's room. Seems like I've had a lot of appointments lately - got a perm, got broken tooth fixed at dentist, took dog in to get his shots, took kittens in to get their shots, took male kitten to be neutered, took female kitten to be spayed, had regular dental check-up. Whew - I think everything is taken care of for a while now! Question - which nest is "CC2"? That's a new one to me. Yes, Norma - I did see the turkey vulture at BWO. Glo - your eagle photos are amazing. Well, gotta get back to work now. May check in later.
Wow! what a loooong thread already! Looks like a full house was here this morning. I probably can't open it, but what is the adress for the hummingbird cam, I want to try when it comes back on. Paula, your picture really threw me for a second, I was like, hey, is that my pic? Makes me want to break out the seed catalogs, it's time to start planning.
Welcome back, Mits. Norma, did you say you're still in pajamas???lucky duck. Thank you, eagle eye:) Nice mid day visit, sure looks like that nest is nice and soft inside now.
I know how we used to want to just reach in and scoop up ButaButa or ZZ - Now with our eagles - I would just like to reach into the cam & stroke their feathers! They are soooooooo beautiful!
Dr Sharpe said concerning Visitor to PH: It looks like it was female A-43, a 2005 hacktower bird from the San Francisco Zoo. A-33, a 2004 male from Alaska was also in the general area on the morning of the 8th.
I think we are Hard to Please: We have no eagles in the nest for the longest time and wonder Where Are They; then we have an eagle in the nest just sitting there and we wonder Why is he staying so long! I'll be glad when the eggs arrive, hatch & then we'll know just what is going on!
Megan Your Pic - I had to enlarge it to see everything! WOW! That is unique to say the least - like original! Love it that the black bird (he is a real one isn't he) sat on the snowman! And on the broom handle, it looks like an owl.
HA! Paula went to a summer pic, I went to winter. That pic is probably 2 winters ago, the blackbird is plastic, and we made the other bird from snow. I think we were aiming for a parrot.
I suppose that is ButaButa (she has gotten so large) sitting in the hammock eating her bamboo. I can see bamboo being moved but LunLun is out of camera range.
HELLO TO YOU DANA, JO, PAULA, and all others on here. I hurried home from school to see if our eagles would be in their nest. Boy is that nest sure looking might comfy!
Thanks DAB for the information on the different CC. I kind of figured that was what it was, but wasn't positive. Seems like it is feeding time at both nests now.
Those little chicks must be getting big at CCl. You are getting to see heads pop up quite regular now. PAULA, I just loved the Wack a Mole video from CC. Thanks for the site.
Anyone else notice our nest may have looked wet? And did they bring in that stick with the bark coming off or was it already there and just moved during the visit
If you are talking about the stick on the lower left corner, it was there before they came. It was a funny looking stick. I took pictures of the visit, I will see if it shows up better.
Sorry Candy (Hi) I read back and seen where you ask me a question. I guess I should say bbl before leaving. I do see where Deb answered your question. Thanks Deb...
Well, it looks like all eagles are settling in for the night. Going to go get a salad for supper and debug my eyes from the staring at the computer screen. BB
Although the Norfolk cam wasn't online today, they have pics from the cam on the site. Look at the right side, 1st entry - 2008 slideshows and click on More Construction.
Thanks for the pics, Deb. Hope you don't have to shovel more snow tomorrow!!
I am heading to bed!It has been a very busy eagle day! Maybe the cow & bull moose will stick around awhile to keep Pook company & eat all those apples!
Good Night All Peace to You & Yours Prayers being said for all in need
I wanted to guide you to Dr. Sharpe's Catalina Report this week...the heading is Eagle Gal, and she started it a couple of days ago. Just scroll down a little and you'll find the report.
Bai and ZZ's cam is on tonight, but everything is dark, dark, dark!!
Pete's Pond has a let up in the rain, and the turtles and Fatty the crocodile (is fat today) are all up on the bank or on rocks trying to warm up.
Fatty is still warming on the bank, but now there are at least two dozen Cattle Egrets standing a few feet behind him, keeping and eye on him and preening their feathers.
Good Friday morning, world! Rainy and drizzly and a bit foggy, but not too cold. 40° in PA, 43° here in VA. Not too shabby for January! Off to open some cams and see what I missed yesterday. All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
It's late, I took a sleeping aid, and I'd better go soon.
If I don't get up in time, have a great weekend....
Thinking about your birds not eating your fruit, I had a similar experience years ago and gave up. But when I was a kid and a neighborhood fruit tree (or bush) would produce fruit, every bird for miles would be there to feed on the illicit fruits. You couldn't drive them off with a gun...ironic don't you think?
Keep warm and dry.
I was just going to publish when I saw your comment. How did you know I was still on?
Hi Jim! I didn't know you were still on, saw your last comment at 2:20, just wondered if you were still up. Yeah, I remember birds and fruit trees! Very frustrating for the one growing the trees. But of the 4 quarters, I have 3 left, so somthing ate one quarter. Guessing it's not the birds though, may be the opossum. Outdoor kitty has been around 24/7 since it's been so nice, but he wasn't there this morning, so I'm anxious to see if I have another quarter apple gone when I get home! If I don't talk to you later, you have a good weekend also! We're supposed to get some bad weather Sunday night into Monday, so I may or may not be here Monday. Depends on what comes down, ice or snow, and how much we get. Since I drive in the middle of the night, and that's supposed to be when we get it, I may not chance coming down here. Sleep tight, Jim, and pleasant dreams!
We have a possible Mrs Knut in Germany! How cool! She's 4 weekd old, and Knut was a year old last month. Now if we could take the hint and make the Atlanta Beauty Mrs Tai Shan, all would be well with the world! Nurenberg zoo had a panda mother who might have rejected her cub, so they rescued the cub before she could. There was another mom polar bears there that didn't do so well as mom, so they rescued this little one before anything could happen to her! (article can be found here:) http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080110/lf_afp/lifestylegermanyanimalsbearoffbeat_080110164304
all on one line, of course. Check out the photos, she's so cute!
Oh, eagle standing and either turning eggs or something in Tesoro. Haven't read back yet, did we get babies yesterday? Eagle standing looking around, beautiful in the pink sunrise!
Definately rearranging something down there. She was standing and calling, then back down. I see a shadow flying around, but eagle hasn't landed yet. Eagle still on branch in Maine. Ok, think we've settled down in Tesoro. She appears to be sitting down again.
There you are, good morning, Wanda! Lib and Belle are still sleeping in, buc there is an eagle on the branch in Maine, and Tesoro eagle was just up rearranging something in the nest. Beautiful sunrise there too.
Oh, Wanda, Knut is the rescued polar bear who now resides at the Berlin Zoo. He was rescued, and the whole world has watched him grow up. Check out the article, and the pics with it. Maybe we now have a Mrs Knut, she's a cutie right now. Was born 9 or 10 Jan I think.
Bai was back in the den, oh make that IS back in the den and I think she yes, has a tone of bamboo with her. Well she pulled it in with her, left, and pulled it right back out again. Don't know where the little one is. Mei has her morning treats, and Tai is trying to get out. No treats yet for him either, he doesn't look happy! Mei has her head, well had, her head in what looks like a bag. Guess it's got honey. Tai is trying to fit under a door. Yeah, right! Oh, now he's gonna try the treat slot. Yup, that'll work too.
Bai has brought the bamboo back in the den, and I think ZZ is back in there somewhere in the bamboo. Not too sure, though. Tai is strolling, but still inside, and Mei has pretty much destroyed whatever it was that had honey on it. Our kids are still a no-show!
I just got the Tesoro site up and the CC up and one eagle is now at BWO,. I also have bWO andBOW nest and most important of all Our own nest. The kids are enjoying watching from time to time, so I just leave them all on one screen for the day.

Dr Sharpe said concerning Visitor to PH: It looks like it was female A-43, a 2005 hacktower bird from the San Francisco Zoo. A-33, a 2004 male from Alaska was also in the general area on the morning of the 8th.
LOL.....That was funny, Jo
I am glad someone got that on video. Paula and I watched them, they fought over that stick for a long time. Thanks, Jo.
I think we are Hard to Please: We have no eagles in the nest for the longest time and wonder Where Are They; then we have an eagle in the nest just sitting there and we wonder Why is he staying so long! I'll be glad when the eggs arrive, hatch & then we'll know just what is going on!

A GREAT BIG WELCOME BACK TO YOU MITS AKA HELEN. YOU WERE SURELY MISSED ON THIS BLOG. HOPE YOU HAD A NICE TRIP
HELLO TO YOU DANA, JO, PAULA, and all others on here. I hurried home from school to see if our eagles would be in their nest. Boy is that nest sure looking might comfy!
I have both CC cams up and Tesoro, plus ours,PH SC, BWE and BWO. It seems that all the action is in Fla.
DANA Is CC 11 the nest with the Branch in front of the eagle mom?
EAGLE with a fish in BWO!
It looks like Tesoro is still turning eggs every now and then. No chicks there yet?
Eagle at BWO is going at that fish. The nest must be their dining room. They must not want to get their BWE nest dirty. :)
It seems like the eagle at Tesoro jumps up and looks down at the nest ,putters around and then sits back down. Maybe something is up.
BOTH EAGLES AT BWO NOW
Both eagles at BWO now.
Candy, I think that CC2 is the one that says City of Cape Coral at the top. I am pretty sure I have it right. CC1 says Pixord.
Correct me if I am wrong.
Can just see the tootsies now at BWO.
EAGLE ALERT, OUR NEST!!

Deer on PA cam.
Thanks PAULA for the info. Something must be getting ready to happen
I read your note and didn't even notice!
Both eagles at CC2
Thanks DAB for the information on the different CC. I kind of figured that was what it was, but wasn't positive. Seems like it is feeding time at both nests now.
Thank you, Candy, missed you too.....3rd time was the charm, Paula, that was funny:)
Sometimes they move so fast, you can't even type!
Sorry about that DEB. We are really having a time with your name today. :)
I got a birthday cake once that said, "Happy Birthday, Bev" You should have seen the look on the face of the friend who ordered it. It was priceless!
Those little chicks must be getting big at CCl. You are getting to see heads pop up quite regular now. PAULA, I just loved the Wack a Mole video from CC. Thanks for the site.
There goes Tesoro up and flying off.
She's back and settling in again.
It looks like another bird flew into the nest too.

Pretty sunset at Tesoro!
took the words right out of my fingers, Paula
Anyone else notice our nest may have looked wet? And did they bring in that stick with the bark coming off or was it already there and just moved during the visit
If you are talking about the stick on the lower left corner, it was there before they came. It was a funny looking stick. I took pictures of the visit, I will see if it shows up better.

Heading home - TTUL
Drive careful Paula
Both eagles was in the CC II nest. Did anyone see one fly out?

Deb - I was talking about the branch on the right...from this morning's pic, it was there earlier. It just looked different wet.
1 deer in PA
2 moosies - glad to see them, haven't been able to check there all day - too much eagle activity!
That was the last pic of the day at the moosecam...nice that she leaves it up like that...

Bai and ZZ's cam is on tonight, but everything is dark, dark, dark!!
Pete's Pond has a let up in the rain, and the turtles and Fatty the crocodile (is fat today) are all up on the bank or on rocks trying to warm up.

Fatty is still warming on the bank, but now there are at least two dozen Cattle Egrets standing a few feet behind
him, keeping and eye on him and preening their feathers.

GOOD NIGHT TO YOU ALL...
GOOD MORNING OF TGIF DAY
TO SUZ AND THE EARLY BIRDERS.... [:~D}
JIM
Good Friday morning, world! Rainy and drizzly and a bit foggy, but not too cold. 40° in PA, 43° here in VA. Not too shabby for January!
Off to open some cams and see what I missed yesterday. All have a great eagle/panda day.
Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Good grief, Jim, are you still up? We need to work on your sleeping again!
GOOD MORNING AGAIN, SUZ/GOOD NIGHT AGAIN, SUZ.

I was just going to publish when I saw your comment. How did you know I was still on?

Hi Jim! I didn't know you were still on, saw your last comment at 2:20, just wondered if you were still up.
Yeah, I remember birds and fruit trees! Very frustrating for the one growing the trees. But of the 4 quarters, I have 3 left, so somthing ate one quarter. all on one line, of course. Check out the photos, she's so cute!
Deer in PA.
And she strolled right on off cam. Still raining, though!
Awwww, ZZ and mom and playing ans snuggling, adorable!
oops, that's AND snuggling.
Ok, there they go. Bai took ZZ out of the den, either to play elsewhere, or eat, or sleep.
Oh wow, just looked at Maine, eagle just this second flew into the nest. You can see his silhouette! And the white head sorta shows up.
Looks like Maine eagle may be eating, but way too dark to see what it is.
Oh, 2nd eagle flew to branch, then flew in the nest. Both eagles are in the nest now. Wish it was lighter!
One flew back to the branch, one still acts like they're eating in the nest.
Wanda, where are you? Eagle activity in Maine, and you can see the head in Tesoro, but Norfolk is still down. Darn. And our kids aren't up yet either.
Well, darn, eagle that was in the nest just flew off. Eagles still on branch, though.
Eagle still on branch in Maine. And another red sunrise in FL, beautiful.
Our kids are a no-show so far, as is BW.
GOOD MORNING SUZ...
I slept in again...I like this "sleeping-in", feels good.
B & L came in at 6:51 yesterday morning, so keep an eye out.
What is a Knut?
There you are, good morning, Wanda!
Lib and Belle are still sleeping in, buc there is an eagle on the branch in Maine, and Tesoro eagle was just up rearranging something in the nest. Beautiful sunrise there too.
Eagle just flew off in Maine. Nice visit.
Oh, he was bottle raised, and she is now being bottle fed.
Suz, Steve has given us a new thread. COME ON OVER.....
NEW THREAD........
Bai has brought the bamboo back in the den, and I think ZZ is back in there somewhere in the bamboo. Not too sure, though. Tai is strolling, but still inside, and Mei has pretty much destroyed whatever it was that had honey on it.
Our kids are still a no-show!
GOOD FRIDAY MORNING TO SUZANNE AND WANDA. You have had a lot of action on here already.
I just got the Tesoro site up and the CC up and one eagle is now at BWO,. I also have bWO andBOW nest and most important of all Our own nest. The kids are enjoying watching from time to time, so I just leave them all on one screen for the day.
Tesoro looks like she is still sittin on and turning eggs. I guess it must be anytime now that they will hatch?
