Purty new feather ya got there, JUDYE !
SANDI, one hour to go ! I'll bet Lynnis is already there--I know I would be--you never know what traffic delays you'll encounter in the trip she has to make.
Here wind is blowing about 50 miles an hour---no, gusting to 50, as the snow begins to fly. It sounds about that bad at the nest ! Got to turn the sound down, it's sending shivers up my spine.
Home from my Wednesday. Brian landed 12 minutes ago! Lynnis said around 4:45pm but the flight arrived early! Kay, I'm sure Lynnis is already there - she may have camped out in the airport last night! :)
HODA, did you send a temporary change of address to The Sandman ? It may take a little adjustment time as you get familiar with unfamiliar sounds, etc., especially those things that to bump in the night. UuuuhhhEeeeeeee. DO NOT LET JUFIE know where you are !
12:05 this afternoon, while at the CVS in Hampstead's parking lot, I FINALLY SAW TUNDRA SWANS!!! I heard them first, jumped into a parking spot, grabbed the binos, got of the car...almost...forgot the parking brake. LOL! There were easily 200 of them! LIFE BIRD for me! I heard them a couple of years ago one night but didn't actually see them. Now I have! It was AMAZING!
I hope it's the plane too Jo. It's been such a mystery and if this is debris from it, they will hopefully now know where to look for the "black boxes". SO many strange things about this....It will be a blessing to the families to have closure for sure.
I am also giving up on LIVE FEED I have 4 browsers up and all are doing it may be wind but we have had this even with out the wind but not as bad Probably is almost over for the evening anyway with the exception of egg rolls
I noticed sometime it start up by itself but normally not I just had all 4 go to the white screen with the pretty pic on it and maybe with night fall it will stop doing it We can only hope
I will go down to the beach. the bread crumbs might be useful to bring me up through the gardens and then to the house!!! LOL Every thing is relative is it not!!! I love love love us.
Watching Wheel of Fortune and waiting for Jeopardy. Two women from Huntersville on Wheel. Huntersville is home of the Carolina Raptor Center and my family homeplace.
Went downstairs to spot Hunter picking up dog poop in the rain. It seems that Kathryn had reminded him repeatedly do to it and he somehow failed to do it. She came home and promptly sent him out. (Not raining hard.)
heading for shower before power goes out. LOL! If it stays, we'll be watching Blackfish tonight. I requested it from the library 7 weeks ago and it's finally my turn!!
Yes, I have come to visit you. Gave the Sandperson a special satchel just for you. He says you are in a different location and needs to know how to find you. Just let me know and I will tell him where you are.
Just stopping by. Wind is furious and it makes me nervous because of all our huge trees. Grace and Audrey are a bit skittish with the creeks and groans.
Tundra swans. How delightful. Don't see them inland.
Poor Arthur.
Wonder if picking up dog poop in the rain will prompt more timely poop picking up in the future.lol
Do hope the sighting of debris is on target. I cannot begin to imagine the pain and loss the families are experiencing.
Okay, off to put my feet up. I'm sure I'll wake up when the Sandperson begins to rummage in the closet.
sure you can Judie. We are FAR inland. They are making their way from the coasts of MD, VA, NC and flying to the artic where they will breed this summer and then return in Oct, Nov again. Megan is way west of here and sees them often!
Now now now!!! I will not be telling no no no NOT I!!!
I went for a walk about and heard five different bird songs! The beaver was her to visit. The deer have two spots where they bed! I see bear claw marks on the trees. They are still hybernating, so I will not see them yet.
JUDIE you tell JUFIE I am the one who created her name and I do not like to be bullied!!! Off with her head and all!! I have connection to the Tower of London and she could easily be sent there...

Hello Everyone... I was on facebook checking out my family and WHOOSH, the wind blew me over here! Trying to keep myself busy...my main escape from self-pity. The hardest chore, so far, has been washing Gene's clothes. I'm finding out just how much he did around here. What I do, pales in comparison to his chores and obligations. Not to mention all the things he did for GG. But, I have put my BIG GIRL PANTIES on and doing my best. I brought his "George" urn home and it is so heavy, I couldn't lift it to the fireplace mantel. I guess I will ask my son in law to help me, just wish he and Karla didn't live so far away...he works 2 hours away from his home and doesn't get home til late. OK, I see I'm rambling again, I am VERY ADD these days. Before I sign off, someone, PLEASE tell me what is wrong with Miracle Michael? I saw on facebook that some prayers are being said for him.
WANDA, I do so understand exactly what you're going through. I think of you every day because I recall those first few weeks after Stan's passing in great detail. So many firsts, so much to tend to, so much time to think.... It really will get easier, but you'll always have Gene in your heart and often on your mind. Family is key and you are blessed with one that is loving, kind and generous ! You're gonna be okay because you're strong ! Love you ! ♥♥♥
Ewwee. SHIRLEY, picking up rain soaked poop has to be so difficult. Hunter may have learned something this evening ! I'm kinda glad to see Arthur go--was wondering if we had a Ken Jennings in the making. Hurray for the new champion !
MARGY, always glad to hear it when the bad guys get caught. Poor, poor woman.
LYNNEDUH, you saw a couple of hundred Tundra Swans ? Wow ! That is fantastic !
Oh, HODA, you are out in the wild country ! The only bear claws I want to see are in the pastry bakery down the street---or on a bear cam. I realize you're only seeing the evidence they've left behind and that they are still hibernating, so will not worry. Wonder if the threat of meeting the same fate Henry VIII doled out will scare the evil Jufie away forever ? We can only hope !
I'm toddling off to bed, the best place to be on this cold, cold night.
Hi Wanda - Most of my Momsters keep Michael in prayer - The pain he has will be with him always and he endures it very well. They were trying different meds but those nerve endings will be sensitive for many years. He had a good appointment this Wed down at UMMC - doesn't need to return for one year.
On a night like this, I am happy that there aren't any really big trees near my house. We were surrounded by many tall trees in our previous house, and I watched them sway in the blowing wind quite often.
Major cat problem here--I have to stop every few minutes to give some more chin scratches. George is loving the attention, but I can't type too easily.

We had a fabulous day. Did not go to the winery of Ash's friend. Could not find it. However, Michael says he will call tomorrow. Instead we went to 4 wineries, each different an each special. Had a lot of fun, especially at one winery that had a 4 month old yellow lab. He was so sweet. Wanted to make off with him! Another winery had some excellent food with their tasting. I ended up telling the guy serving us about our meals. He gave me a book with some elegant recipes. Another winery "found" a coupon for our tasting, two for one! At that place we sat outside and visited with a man who was also an aeronautical engineer. That is what is so much fun tasting wine. Everyone is so friendly...including the dogs!
We will be here one more day and then off to the redwoods. We might be off the internet there, as we will hopefully be dry camping in the Natl. Park. By dry camping I mean...no electricity, no water (only what we have) and no dump. We will be battery powered and we also have propane gas for cooking an heat.
Heading to the shower and bed soon!
Sandi, so happy for you Brian is home! Love and hugs to all!
Headlines say DC was without power from the winds and that many flights were delayed - so glad Brian made it before the winds hit. Boy, are they howling outside this morning. Hope all the trees near the house stay vertical!
Wanda, good to see you on the blog. Please know that I am thinking of you, dear lady!
Two more days to go in this work week but I am really tired. Guess it's the time change.
good morning to all. ran out of time and energy yesterday.
JUDIE: so glad to know I don't have to deal with the lashes from the wet noodle, lol. I knew you were kidding.
yesterday was a busy day. we hit the road just about 9:30, the dealership was acutally across the line in Georgia. so we cruised on down there.
yes, we bought it. it was exactly what we were looking for. a 27 foot RV. no slide out, but I can live without that. it is a Class A, which is the style we liked much better. And 25 K LESS than the othe rone.
we drove it home. it is in the driveway .
we got home about 7:30 last night. ate dinner. I tried to to a program on blog radio last night, but that ended up frustrating me as the feed went out. just went to bed.
now back to work!
HODA: enjoy enjoy enjoy! SANDI: happy Brian is home ! everyone: hugs and smiles to start your day!
Good COLD morning to all ♥ Wow - I need a heavy coat to even think about taking peanuts and seeds out. However, with the wind last night and a thunderstorm around midnight, my deck is very clean!
PA FALCON CAM: 3/13/2014 :: First Egg! At around 5 p.m. yesterday, the female laid the first egg in the scrape! The first and second egg should get occasional incubation time. When the third egg arrives, the incubation time should increase. The full clutch will be warmed continuously until hatching begins.
I have both of our cams up/running. Looks like lots of flugg to snuggle down into for our adults. I have to refresh live feed often.
Noticing the robins out in the yard. Brave souls ! Blue jays are sturdy birds. I have a little nuthatch scaling the tree - I love watching their movements.

You are in our prayers even though it is not on the blog on a daily basis.

we got home about 7:30 last night. ate dinner. I tried to to a program on blog radio last night, but that ended up frustrating me as the feed went out. just went to bed.
now back to work!
HODA: enjoy enjoy enjoy!
SANDI: happy Brian is home !
everyone: hugs and smiles to start your day!
Good morning eagle friends. I saw the wind still blowing for the 10 seconds I had the live camera. glad our nest is still safe.
WANDA, so glad to see you here. You are a strong lady and will eventually figure things out. Love to you and your family.
I hope all have a great day today..
The duvet on the bed where I slept is to die for!!!Very warm and very toasty!!! Lots of sleep in that bed!!!
Went out three times last night to see if I could see any wild life and I did not. Moon is almost full.
Finally found my glasses. Decided on one central place to leave glasses and keys and purse, to remember to take them with me when I go about my day.
I look forward to you all checking in and that all trees remained vertical and that the wild animals as well as humans are all doing well.
This lap top is a windows seven and I think I like it...I still have XP at my flat. Their computers that they took with them are an 8.1
Good COLD morning to all ♥
Wow - I need a heavy coat to even think about taking peanuts and seeds out.

You know what - I MISS MY CATS
Lolly - your trip gets more interesting the more miles you travel.
So happy the new RV is proving to have been a good buy.
I ALMOST GOT 10 MINS ON THE LIVE FEED BEFORE NEEDING TO REFRESH.
Sorry all caps - it's my nubby fingers.
Thank you NCTC aka Steve for restarting the still cam for us.
Going to check out FB for some of our missing bloggers. I'll report any findings..
Good Morning Eagle Buds !!!
Nice and sunny at the nest !
Another frigid, bone chilling day here. 17°, but looking at big change into high 40's or 50's tomorrow. These changes are hard on my old bones.
HODA, so happy with your 1st nights report ! Glad you have a heavenly duvet to luxuriate in !
JO, hope you return with news of LORI and DANA and will welcome any FB goodies, of course !
