At least it is supposed to be a short lived cold front!

Afternoon all!

Kay said...

Thanks for the New Thread and the warning STEVE ! Taking comfort in PAULA's word that it's to be short lived !

Purty new feather ya got there, JUDYE !

SANDI, one hour to go ! I'll bet Lynnis is already there--I know I would be--you never know what traffic delays you'll encounter in the trip she has to make.

Here wind is blowing about 50 miles an hour---no, gusting to 50, as the snow begins to fly. It sounds about that bad at the nest ! Got to turn the sound down, it's sending shivers up my spine.

Kay said...

Cam just went off. Now says:

This server is temporarily unable to service requests. Error code: 95

Tried quitting and going back, no go. Anyone else ?

paula eagleholic said...

Eagle calling out...clunk in Tree. :)

paula eagleholic said...

We are supposed to get those gusty winds too, Kay.

Raining in Crisfield at the Moment.

Looks like we are in for a switch.

paula eagleholic said...

Belle out, Shep in.

Almost said Lib in.

Kay said...

Got it back.

Sandi said...

Home from my Wednesday. Brian landed 12 minutes ago! Lynnis said around 4:45pm but the flight arrived early! Kay, I'm sure Lynnis is already there - she may have camped out in the airport last night! :)

I am a happy mom!!

Kay said...

Big sigh of relief and much elation right along with you, SANDI !

Kay said...

HODA, did you send a temporary change of address to The Sandman ? It may take a little adjustment time as you get familiar with unfamiliar sounds, etc., especially those things that to bump in the night. UuuuhhhEeeeeeee. DO NOT LET JUFIE know where you are !

Kay said...

Wow did we ever get the downpour - now down go the temps and here comes the winds.

Well Brian's flight would have landed right before the rain. Did he come in to BWI?

Thanks Steve for the new thread and I'll heed your warning and hope it is short lived

Thank you Steve for the fresh thread and JudyE for the call-over. Enjoy the feather.

Checked the cam. Picture of looks like Shep on duty. No movement. Stuck?

WELCOME HOME BRIAN. Please enjoy the homecoming and being back with all your family.

Darkening here. Winds are beginning and temp. is getting cooler.

Hoda, yes, do let Sandperson know where to find you - we PROMISE not to tell Jufie. lol

Judie said...

Poor Phoebe. She's is on one wild ride. Wind is really blowing her around but she's holding tight to the nest and her egg.

JudyEddy said...

HODA what a beautiful setting you are getting the privilege of house sitting in So pretty what a awesome view you have

Its raining out got half way to the nest and here I am back :-(

JudyEddy said...

I put pic on the EM site on FB and tagged Steve in a pic with the Sill cam frozen in time so he now knows

I am having such issues with the live feed stalling and stopping and I have 3 browsers open and it does it on all three also what a PIA

Mema Jo said...

For me it was a 'breakfast type' dinner We were going out but decided not to and that is when the rain poured. I was glad we stayed home.

Mema Jo said...

Judy I don't see it on Steve's page You may need to SHARE from the EM for
it to go over

Lynne2 said...

evening all!

So glad Brian got home safely Sandi, and ahead of the weather, too!

Lynne2 said...

It was a beautiful day today...the rain was heavy, no T'storms, only lasted about 10 minutes, wind just now starting to pick up. MUCH cooler now!

Mema Jo said...

And tell us on here about the Tundra Swans WHoo Hoo

Lynne2 said...

Some large pieces of debris have been spotted by a satellite in the sea on the flight path of the missing airliner.

Lynne2 said...

oh yes Jo...I was just getting to that!

12:05 this afternoon, while at the CVS in Hampstead's parking lot, I FINALLY SAW TUNDRA SWANS!!! I heard them first, jumped into a parking spot, grabbed the binos, got of the car...almost...forgot the parking brake. LOL! There were easily 200 of them! LIFE BIRD for me! I heard them a couple of years ago one night but didn't actually see them. Now I have! It was AMAZING!

Mema Jo said...

Oh my Lynne - I have been praying for them to find that plane. Closure..

Lynne2 said...

I hope it's the plane too Jo. It's been such a mystery and if this is debris from it, they will hopefully now know where to look for the "black boxes". SO many strange things about this....It will be a blessing to the families to have closure for sure.

JudyEddy said...

OTAY I sent him a mssg on FB with the pic

JudyEddy said...

Thanks for the update My news if it said anything I didn't hear it yet anyway

Mema Jo said...

Judy - I'm giving up on the live feed

Perhaps the wind is the reason but I
get a few seconds and then it stops.

Going to check out TV schedule
Don't want to miss Jeopardy tonight

JudyEddy said...

Looks like more flugg was brought in
in a pile there in center of nest

JudyEddy said...

JO I had sent a pic on his FB email also and he has seen it on the message it shows time he saw it right after I sent it but he didn't answer it

JudyEddy said...

I am also giving up on LIVE FEED I have 4 browsers up and all are doing it may be wind but we have had this even with out the wind but not as bad
Probably is almost over for the evening anyway with the exception of egg rolls

I noticed sometime it start up by itself but normally not I just had all 4 go to the white screen with the pretty pic on it and maybe with night fall it will stop doing it We can only hope

Went downstairs to spot Hunter picking up dog poop in the rain. It seems that Kathryn had reminded him repeatedly do to it and he somehow failed to do it. She came home and promptly sent him out. (Not raining hard.)

JudyEddy said...

A stick of flugg hit Belle in the beak

JudyEddy said...

stronghunter said...

HIDE, HODA, HIDE!!

Judie said...

Hi everyone,

Just stopping by. Wind is furious and it makes me nervous because of all our huge trees. Grace and Audrey are a bit skittish with the creeks and groans.

Tundra swans. How delightful. Don't see them inland.

Poor Arthur.

Wonder if picking up dog poop in the rain will prompt more timely poop picking up in the future.lol

Do hope the sighting of debris is on target. I cannot begin to imagine the pain and loss the families are experiencing.

Okay, off to put my feet up. I'm sure I'll wake up when the Sandperson begins to rummage in the closet.

JudyEddy said...

HODA Don't be fooled the Sandman is just like SANTA he know where we all live

the evil one has gotten a hold of Judie laptop look like

Lynne2 said...

sure you can Judie. We are FAR inland. They are making their way from the coasts of MD, VA, NC and flying to the artic where they will breed this summer and then return in Oct, Nov again. Megan is way west of here and sees them often!

Hoda said...

Now now now!!!
I will not be telling no no no NOT I!!!

I went for a walk about and heard five different bird songs!
The beaver was her to visit.
The deer have two spots where they bed!
I see bear claw marks on the trees.
They are still hybernating, so I will not see them yet.

JUDIE you tell JUFIE I am the one who created her name and I do not like to be bullied!!! Off with her head and all!! I have connection to the Tower of London and she could easily be sent there...

Judie said...

Hello.

Wind is more fierce than ever. Going to shut down before we lose power.

Sandperson is packing a satchel. Something about Jufie but I am pretending to be deaf.

In all my years, I do not think I have seen a tundra swan hereabouts. Maybe I need to be more vigilant.

Okay, night light is on. Restful sleep for all. Double lock doors and windows - Evil Jufie is on the loose.

Restful sleep for all.

Costume Lady said...

Hello Everyone...
I was on facebook checking out my family and WHOOSH, the wind blew me over here!
Trying to keep myself busy...my main escape from self-pity. The hardest chore, so far, has been washing Gene's clothes.
I'm finding out just how much he did around here. What I do, pales in comparison to his chores and obligations. Not to mention all the things he did for GG. But, I have put my BIG GIRL PANTIES on and doing my best.
I brought his "George" urn home and it is so heavy, I couldn't lift it to the fireplace mantel. I guess I will ask my son in law to help me, just wish he and Karla didn't live so far away...he works 2 hours away from his home and doesn't get home til late.
OK, I see I'm rambling again, I am VERY ADD these days.
Before I sign off, someone, PLEASE tell me what is wrong with Miracle Michael? I saw on facebook that some prayers are being said for him.

Hoda said...

WANDA Blessed Be...
Yes it is hard and yes you will survive this because you are the Captain's First Mate and he would expect nothing less from you.

You are in our prayers even though it is not on the blog on a daily basis.

MIRACLE MICHAEL experiences head pain and they are trying to adjust the medication in such a way that it would be better for him.

Love and Light to you and the CAPTAIN.

Costume Lady said...

Thank you for the explanation, dear Hoda...I will pray for the new medication to be a 'perfect fit' for him~

stronghunter said...

Hi Wanda,

Glad that the wind blew you over here. We love having you with us.

I see Hoda told you about Michael. We are hoping that he will find pain relief.

Do not underestimate yourself. I am very sure that you and Gene both have worked very hard over all of those years.

Please keep visiting us. We will be here.

Kay said...

WANDA, I do so understand exactly what you're going through. I think of you every day because I recall those first few weeks after Stan's passing in great detail. So many firsts, so much to tend to, so much time to think.... It really will get easier, but you'll always have Gene in your heart and often on your mind. Family is key and you are blessed with one that is loving, kind and generous ! You're gonna be okay because you're strong ! Love you ! ♥♥♥

Kay said...

Ewwee. SHIRLEY, picking up rain soaked poop has to be so difficult. Hunter may have learned something this evening ! I'm kinda glad to see Arthur go--was wondering if we had a Ken Jennings in the making. Hurray for the new champion !

MARGY, always glad to hear it when the bad guys get caught. Poor, poor woman.

LYNNEDUH, you saw a couple of hundred Tundra Swans ? Wow ! That is fantastic !

Oh, HODA, you are out in the wild country ! The only bear claws I want to see are in the pastry bakery down the street---or on a bear cam. I realize you're only seeing the evidence they've left behind and that they are still hibernating, so will not worry. Wonder if the threat of meeting the same fate Henry VIII doled out will scare the evil Jufie away forever ? We can only hope !

I'm toddling off to bed, the best place to be on this cold, cold night.

Love and prayers for all ! And SED.

Hi Wanda - Most of my Momsters keep Michael in prayer - The pain he has
will be with him always and he endures it very well. They were trying different meds but those nerve endings will be sensitive for many years. He had a good appointment this
Wed down at UMMC - doesn't need to return for one year.

I wanted to say

On a night like this, I am happy that there aren't any really big trees near my house. We were surrounded by many tall trees in our previous house, and I watched them sway in the blowing wind quite often.

Have read the blog. Very entertaining!

(((hugs))) WANDA! You are doing fantastic...keep it up!! I just can not imagine...I would be the same without Jack. I keep thinking he needs to teach me more.

We had a fabulous day. Did not go to the winery of Ash's friend. Could not find it. However, Michael says he will call tomorrow. Instead we went to 4 wineries, each different an each special. Had a lot of fun, especially at one winery that had a 4 month old yellow lab. He was so sweet. Wanted to make off with him! Another winery had some excellent food with their tasting. I ended up telling the guy serving us about our meals. He gave me a book with some elegant recipes. Another winery "found" a coupon for our tasting, two for one! At that place we sat outside and visited with a man who was also an aeronautical engineer. That is what is so much fun tasting wine. Everyone is so friendly...including the dogs!

We will be here one more day and then off to the redwoods. We might be off the internet there, as we will hopefully be dry camping in the Natl. Park. By dry camping I mean...no electricity, no water (only what we have) and no dump. We will be battery powered and we also have propane gas for cooking an heat.

Heading to the shower and bed soon!

Sandi, so happy for you Brian is home! Love and hugs to all!

SED!!!

Goodorming my eagle friends.

Headlines say DC was without power from the winds and that many flights were delayed - so glad Brian made it before the winds hit. Boy, are they howling outside this morning. Hope all the trees near the house stay vertical!

Wanda, good to see you on the blog. Please know that I am thinking of you, dear lady!

Two more days to go in this work week but I am really tired. Guess it's the time change.

Hoping Lori might pop on some day soon.

Have a great day everyone!

good morning to all. ran out of time and energy yesterday.

JUDIE: so glad to know I don't have to deal with the lashes from the wet noodle, lol. I knew you were kidding.

yesterday was a busy day. we hit the road just about 9:30, the dealership was acutally across the line in Georgia. so we cruised on down there.

yes, we bought it. it was exactly what we were looking for. a 27 foot RV. no slide out, but I can live without that. it is a Class A, which is the style we liked much better. And 25 K LESS than the othe rone.

we drove it home. it is in the driveway .

we got home about 7:30 last night. ate dinner. I tried to to a program on blog radio last night, but that ended up frustrating me as the feed went out. just went to bed.

now back to work!

HODA: enjoy enjoy enjoy!
SANDI: happy Brian is home !
everyone: hugs and smiles to start your day!

Went out three times last night to see if I could see any wild life and I did not. Moon is almost full.

Finally found my glasses. Decided on one central place to leave glasses and keys and purse, to remember to take them with me when I go about my day.

I look forward to you all checking in and that all trees remained vertical and that the wild animals as well as humans are all doing well.
