Nite Lynn, nite Linda!

No cooking on Mother's Day is no big deal. Jack will help cook and everyone will help clean up...or possibly Laurel and I will sit and Joey and Jack will clean up.

President!

Very good speech! God bless America!

Hi, Everyone,

Have been trying to catch up here too!
Maybe we need a speed limit like they have on the Autobahn. The slowest speed limit is for the far right lane, and the limit increases for each lane to the left. The fast lane has the fastest speed limit!

Candy, welcome back! And Congratulations, Candy & Jim on Josh & Sherry's wedding! All the very best wishes to Josh & Sherry!

Lynne2, so sorry you had such a scary and hurtful experience at Walmart! I agree with Judie that she either forgot her meds, or has Alzheimer's!
You are beautiful inside and out, and we all love you! BTW, I'm so glad that Daisy came home!

Lynn, can't get over how happy I am for you and Liesl! She is adorable.
Prayers for Vanny.

Lolly, prayers for Laurel & family! No flooding allowed!

WV Dana, LOVE the link to Kandu's story!
Prayers that you will find a comfy pair of shoes!

I am extemely grateful that Lily bear is recovered from her ailment, and is acting like her old self again!

Wow, they finally got Bin Laden! God bless our troops, and God bless America!

Need to get some sleep. Still catching up! Prayers for everyone and every creature. Sleep tight, and I will talk to you tomorrow. The eye-scanner security and WV Dana's thumbprint-scanner security are enabled. Checking to make sure the porch light is on. Don't want anyone falling UP the stairs! God bless, and goodnight. Love all of you! :o]

Lolly said...

Wonderful...weather siren is going off again. We live out of the city but we can hear it faintly. Can hear thunder and according to the radar a small cell is headed towards us.

stronghunter said...

You have an ugly weather system heading your way, Lolly. Stay safe.

Ms Bookworm said...

Lolly,
Prayers for you and Jack! Hate when there is a nasty storm at night. Prayers for your safety!

stronghunter said...

People are gathering at the White House and at Ground Zero.

Hoda said...

Good night. God Bless you and keep you all in HIS GRACE.

stronghunter said...

Good night, Hoda. Thank you.

PA Nana said...

Couldn't sleep so I'm back.

Lolly, hope you and Jack stay safe over night and Laurel doesn't have any flooding to deal with in the near future. We had a slight flood in the laundry room after that big rain storm but everything seems to be back to normal and the sump pump stopped running.

The outside of the laundry shed must be dealt with soon.

Wanda, I hope if that reward is still available it goes to the military families struggling to make ends meet. They sacrifice as much as their military men and women. I'm glad my kids are now out. 1 Army; 2 Marines. One son wanted them to try and take him.
Amongst us, he's the one I wish they had. My mother spoiled him.

stronghunter said...

I am going to go upstairs now. God bless all of you tonight.

PA Nana said...

Goodnight Shirley. Prayers for a good report tomorrow.

PA Nana said...

Is anyone still here?

Lolly said...

Pouring down rain, wind is blowing but no hail!!! Yea...love the rain, just do not want hail or a tornado. They said earlier that these storms are not tornado events.

stronghunter said...

I am still here. But not for long.

stronghunter said...

Glad it is not a tornado event, Lolly.

PA Nana said...

Hi Lolly. Know you needed rain for the fires and now just a little for the gardens but Mother Nature must have forgotten how to measure.

Love your garden pics. I love larkspur and delphinium but can't grow it in my shady garden. boo

Lolly said...

Yes, me too! Funny how Denton has been getting a whole lot more rain than us. They are presently okay. This cell is going south of them.

PA Nana said...

Glad you're still here Shirley. Just when the traffic slows down and my pain is keeping me awake, it's nice to have someone to talk with.

stronghunter said...

It seems that my son has joined those celebrating at the White House. I kind of expected that.

Mema Jo said...

Praying for your safety Lolly & Jack and that includes Annie!
The bin Laden news is just overwhelming. I have happy tears in my eyes and joy in my heart!!
I need to do some reading on here -
we watched TV and then with the news, I just now got back on.

Checked cams - There is a nightlight on the MN Loon Cam.
MT nest at this time.
Lacey and Lilly still moving around.
Full nest at Decorah - the 3 eaglets take up most of the space nowadays - Mom standing on edge.

PA Nana said...

We've never experienced a tornado and, God forbid, hope we never do. The pics of Alabama are frightening. I just can't imagine winds like that. This house shakes when the wind hits 60mph. 2 counties nearby had some tornado damage but nothing like down south.
Lolly, Jack, Laurel, etc. stay safe and dry.

Mema Jo said...

Good to hear it is just going to be lots of rain for you!

Hi Diann - I am almost ready to
hit my recliner. I have had some
neck discomfort and find that my
head does best on the firm recliner.

Shirley - I would be down at DC if possible waving my flag and singing my heart out.

PA Nana said...

Hi Jo, welcome to the late night posters jamboree. Didn't think you were up this late.

Mema Jo said...

Remembering that I have a lunch date tomorrow is going to prompt
me to say

Good Night Friends and Prayers for all of you and your loved ones.
Hugs to All ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

stronghunter said...

I am sure you would be, Jo.

Rus lives in Alexandria. Rus and Will were living very close to the Pentagon on 9-11, close enough to hear the explosion and smell the smoke.

PA Nana said...

Yep, Jo, it's the neck giving me trouble tonight too. But I always sleep on the recliner so it must be the weather causing the discomfort.

Waiting for the pain med to kick in so I can recline and fall asleep.

Good news tonight from our president. So much time has passed I thought he might die of old age and never be found.

PA Nana said...

Goodnight Jo.

PA Nana said...

Shirley, it was a bad time for everyone. My BIL was in the Marines and was working at or near the Pentagon when it happened. I've never questioned him so don't have details, but am sure it was a horrific time for them all.

How's George?

stronghunter said...

Sorry you are in pain, Diane. I am not usually up this late on a Sunday night, but I will not be going to work tomorrow. However, I am about to fall asleep now.

stronghunter said...

George is fine. Probably wondering what I am doing sitting up so late.

stronghunter said...

Will was standing in the window of their bathroom and felt a concussion from the explosion.

stronghunter said...

Will and Rus went out on the streets and saw lots of people in a state of panic. We had trouble getting in touch that day. I was at school, dealing with upset students.

PA Nana said...

Don't do a face plant without engaging your airbag. Sleep well and enjoy tomorrow off (after the pressing)with good results. Prayers.
Goodnight & God bless

Sweet dreams! My eyes are closing as I sit here.

See ya tomorrow! (((Hugs)))

PA Nana said...

Glad we all got through it, though the memories will be with us forever.

So much history has taken place during my 66 years that I wonder when the bad will end.

Well, maybe I'll try reading today's paper before it becomes tomorrow's memory.

Goodnight and (((hugs)))

Good morning!

LYNN - I am so happy for you and your new baby Leisel. I'm gonna have to get the spelling down on that name! Anyway, Congratulations!

LYNNE - Honey, that lady is mentally ill. She would have been just as awful had it been Kate Middleton standing there in her wedding dress. Really. It wasn't you.

LOLLY - hope your weather wasn't too bad last night. When they use the word "cell" like micro burst - those things are horrible! The weather has been something else lately.

Hi SHIRLEY, JO, PAULA, DANA, WANDA, LORETTA, NANA, JUDIE and all!

Getting ready for work. I'm sure today will be crazy with OBL news.

Good Morning Margy! We had a nice visit this morning, not very long though.

Sorry about too much rain Megan. I'm sure it's much different when you're growing them for a business. Save those peonies because I'll want some this year. :)

magpie said...

Quack Quack Quack DanaMo

Hope the return to academia goes well

Short stop for me, have to get ready for work myself

Have you all in my heart and the prayers needed amongsts us and our families and friends, in my soul

See you later on tonight, or maybe once or twice from work
Glad to know Belle was on the nest this morning

God Bless the Military and may today be a safe day

magpie said...

Good Morning Lori ☺
Hope your workday goes well also
xo ttfn xo

floralgirl said...

Peonies will be the first major loss of the season this year, not a good start. At least half of my early one have been lost due to botrytis caused by way too much rain. It may be a total loss soon, there may be more rot now after all this additional rain. I was too tired to even look yesterday evening.

magpie said...

PS Paula
I have not sent an email about the Still Cam being frozen...
wasn't sure if Steve had been notified yet and did not want to bombard him with emails
You would know better about this now I think, I mean, the lines of communication
thanks

Hello to all this wonderful OBL-less morning!!! woohoooo

Megan -- just read through for this morning and am so sorry you are having such a time with this weather. I know you work very hard for a profitable season. Will be thinking of you. Hopefully, the "April Showers Brings May Flowers" will come true for you soon.

Margy -- I sure hope YOU had a successful day at the market.

Getting ready for work but I do have time for a cuppa at the Sycamore Cafe!!

Judie said...

Good morning!

Have to grab some coffee and then try to make myself less scary before I leave for therapy.

Will be back late morning-early afternoon.

Congratulations to the Navy Seals and all the intelligence people who successfully coordinated the death of Osama Bin Laden.

Have a lovely day.

glo said...

Good morning everone. I am reading the Blog backwards in case I can't get it all read before coffee and dog treats.
Megan I am so sorry about the peonies. I even will always remember you telling me last year when to cut them when they are sort of like marshmallows so I can bring some in to enjoy longer. Weather is not very kind right now nationwide. I am saddened by its effect on you :-(

Magpie says it well:God bless the military and may today be a safe day. I want to add and may they submit their orders for needed supplies to keep them safe and may those orders be filled. Having a son at Ft Stewart keeps me abreast at times of the supplies that are NOT being met. Nuff said. WE have to change this. Its not over BUT THAT stinkin guy is gone!.

Time to get ready for coffee and dog treats. God Bless America oh and God Bless Liesl too :-).

Lynne2 said...

Good morning! Sure was more fun for me when Steve had to get up a 5 to go to leave by 6 for work....now I never get here til late! Of course, HE is happy he isn't getting up that early any more!

So will not be on long.

Megan I remember when you was "HAULING WATER". Now you got too much. Sorry some of the flowers have taken a hit. Prayers that the remainer of your growing. Will be producity and bring in the sales you need. HUGS

stronghunter said...

Good morning,

Just checking in this morning. I will be busy for awhile today.

Keep seeing shadows of birds flying over the nest.

Kay said...

Lori, thanks for your concern this morning, but I slept in til' 8. Caught sight of the BIG news as I was about to shut down for the night and stayed up very late, of course. I reheated the left over coffee, but missed being with my fellow early birds. So glad Belle and Truder paid a call and that you and that you and JudyE were "on it" !

I share in the relief and jubilation expressed by so many of you ! One of the most fiendish minds in the history of man is gone. Swallowed up by sharks by now. Praise the Lord !

Lynn, thanks for adding me on to the Cheat Sheet ! I'm so enjoying my Newbie year and hope I'll past muster come next March, advancing to a Mewbie !

BBL, more reading up on the fantastic news of the day to do.

GOOD MORNING...
I'm like Megan, this rain is ruining my life! Can't get the garden in, can't mow the lawn, can't get leaves out of the flower beds (too wet to blow), can't rake because new growth will break off:(
I need so badly to get caught up here, so that I can spend more time with GG's needs.

I am wondering, along with others, probably, WHY OBL was buried at sea so quickly...are they trying to hide something??

Costume Lady said...

I'm anxious to hear how Lynn is doing with Liesl. What a beautiful face she has. Would like to see the rest of her:)

Mema Jo said...

Good Morning Everyone - Bless the military!

Wanda I wondered the same - like the feeling of seeing is believing - Doubting Thomas' - Hubby said it
was tradition, So I will accept that! He is a goner - PTL

I missed their visit but thanks everyone for commenting on the happenings.

I am :( about the peonies. I know what a seller they are. I pray they are not a total loss.

paula eagleholic said...

Wanda,
They didn't want a grave sight and buried within 24 hours to respect tradition.

Sent Steve an email about the still cam.

DanaMo, that is too funny about the ducks in the pool!

Margy, wouldn't that be neat if is was your nephew involved~!

Mema Jo said...

I am hopping around here trying to
say hello and then get ready for lunch because I need to leave around 10ish.
Take care - see you when I return!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

And what county would have wanted him buried there?

Good morning everybody.

Kay said...

Back for a few minutes, can't absorb all the OBL details in one lump. It took 9 years, 7 months and 20 days for him to get his just desserts.

Wanda, on BBC/NPR earlier I heard about the burial at sea. The folks there said all the facts have been thoroughly documented so there won't be any doubt that the USA got the man. They also said that form of burial was best. Had he been buried or preserved someway anywhere on the Earth the spot would have become a shrine to his followers. He'll soon be shark excrement, oh yeah !!

Lolly said...

Good morning! Excellent idea to bury him at sea! No place for sick people to make a shrine. Also, the Muslin religion calls for immediate burial. The USA can not be accused of doing something wrong. Though we have every right to do what we want. So...to the sharks is so correct!

Lolly said...

It rained all night, heard some thunder but basically just a general rain. Wahooo! With yesterday's rain we are up to 1 1/2 inches. Yea!

Last year we were a bog..remember? It just seems so hard to get just the right amount of rain. Megan, we feel your pain!! ((Hugs))

46 this morning. I had to got to my winter closet and dig out a sweatshirt to put on.

Jack and I are going to the movies this afternoon. Can not work in the yard! We have read Water for Elephants and want to see the movie. We see so few movies!

To get the Ravens offense going again in week two, Ray Rice needs to have another big week. The Ravens running back scored twice and racked up 149 yards against the Steelers and if the Ravens are successful on Sunday it will start and end with Rice. Maurice Jones-Drew finished three yards shy of 100 and reached the end zone once last week against Tennessee, I expect Rice to have similar results. With Vonta Leach leading the way against a young Titans defense, I expect Rice to again have a nice day for fantasy owners and Ravens fans alike.
