For those of you who have been following my Trail Cam, on my Wild and Wonderful, there is a picture of Mrs. Fox and if you look closely, she has something in her mouth, headed back over the hill. Hopefully she is taking it to a kit or two. If you look at her closely, you can see that a baby or two has been suckling.
I so hope she brings them to the feeding station, been waiting all winter on that.
I really like how they have the nest so the eaglets can see other eagles I can't wait for the live cam to be ready in about a week BBL

Just afew short words to express my sorrow. I have been over to the NCTC area many times the last few weeks just riding around searching the area.. If this si OUR Liberty he is soaring high above and will always be in OUR hearts.. On another upsetting news my great grandson had a cat scan today and has fluid on his brain and we are waiting on news as to when he will go to Morgantown for MRI.. Leland is thriving and alert smiling and cooing but we noticed a abnormal feeling on the back of his skull so Stacy took him to doctors this morning and then to hospitol.. Leland will be 3 months old 26th.. So Please keep him in your prayers...

OK I posted a video on old thread of Love Surrender and Commitment. It shows so well the chemistry of our pair; especially for those who are new and didn't get to see them care for both each other and their young. You will find that link near the very end of yesterdays thread.

Ok i just went over to facebook and Stacy has posted this.. I guess the doctors decided to do the MRI in Morgantown rather than when they come here.. Found out he has fluid around his skull.( I was wrong) It just feels like some extra soft skin back there kind of squishy when touch... Not sure where its coming from yet. He goes to have a MRI May 9th in Morgantown.. Dana call me im home.. Thanks for all the prayers i knew i could count on ya'll.. Huga, Nilla

Your right Wanda i feel sooooo much better knowing he will go up there to Ruby Hospitol.. I am about to walk over and check on Stacy & Leland.. I know exactly how great they are up there remember Jenny was in hospitol there for almost 4 months when she was pregnant with Grandaughter Jazzy.. I cant believe this crazy weather.. No wonder Jazzy has been sick with a cold and now she also has bad allergies.. Ahhhh a big sighhhhhh!!!

Ok Dana i just came over from Nathan n Stacys..Well i feel alittle better i researched this fluid that Leland has and as long as there is NO fractures and no way for brain fluid to leak out of skull... most likely this could have been caused by the way Leland was stuck in her pelvic and had to be c-sectioned...Eventually it will be absorbed... Leland was so happy and smiling and cooin n taqlking to me.. He loves me to sing to him an coos along..lol...

Liz, breeze really isn't a warm one. Only 55° and it is a chilly wind! Which may be why she's kind of hunkered down!

Chase Community Giving is taking votes for the money they will be distributing. Wildlife Center is on their list, and has moved up incredibly since the tragedy. They are close to the top 20 now. The 1st. 100 organizations receive a pretty large donation. So please all go to the site Vicki has listed, as this would be wonderful

Good Evening Everyone. TGIF, however I'll probably go in to work over the weekend.Was one of those AARRGGHH days---working on banners & having lots of trouble trying to get transfer tape off of letters once they were down. Not supposed to happen! Then I started getting teary thinking about lost eagles. And I thought I could wait a few months & try to stay positive. Need a habby pill.
Anyway, AM started out lovely--I actually got up at 5:45 to see the Royal Wedding.Very lovely---wore my fake sapphire and diamond pendant that is replica of Lady Di's ring that Kate now has.
Read a little of blog at work, but have to catch up. I know you're not supposed to end a sentence with a preposition, but it is what it is-----sorry, Shirley! LOL
(P.S. TOP SECET--cops stopped me going to work w/radar gun. I didn't even see it---he was standing by a curb!Another one motioned me over & I told him I knew the 30mph sign was just ahead & he said there was another before it! DUH. Told him I was late for work because I got up early to see wedding. He told me to go ahead--No ticket!!Maybe he takes pity on senile citizens! Years ago got stopped & even cried because "my husband's gonna kill me!" Didn't work---but I paid w/a money order---No Record at home.)

Mom just tried to tell me that there is an eagle's nest on top of a building in St. Louis with 11 eggs in it. I told her "no way" and she got insulted and swore that it's true. You don't argue with a 91 y.o.! NOTHING on www; call into sis.....
I did a little video and downloand to Facebook trouble is the screen turns out funny sometimes the way my camera reflects I guess I was trying to figure out how to video it with out the lines that I sometime get Ok got to go get a shower just got back for eating at Biff Burger Three ate and with tip 15.00 not bad meal was 11 and the best burger in town Carl was on call so its was just us girls BBL

Judy E--if you wan't to Save a picture, you can easily do it on the Still cam by right clicking & Save as....
To get pics from Live cam, you can do a Capture which involves a few steps using Ctrl & Print Screen on keyboard & then go into Paint & do a few more steps. There are capture programs also, but I never used any. One of my new photo programs has a Capture option, but I haven't tried it yet.
I know nothing about video. Paula, Glo and Leona, I think do videos as well as some others.

On live cam, I use a program that comes on Windows 7 called SnipIt. On still cam, just a right click and Save picture.

I have to say good night now. I am really tired. Spent a long time organizing things for a sub for Monday. I have my mammogram then.
I have brought home the research papers for my seniors, so I will be working on them this weekend.
The rumor is that Monday is senior skip day. That means the sub might not have much to do.
The prom is Saturday night.
I heard from one teacher that some of my seniors were begging him to let them type their papers in his class THIS MORNING. Papers were due second block today. One of those students received my nomination for outstanding English student last year. He did NOT get chosen again this year.
Several came late to class because they were putting together their papers in the library.
Kids asked me if I had senoritis when I was in high school. Good grief, no. The word had not been invented then. I think they use it as an excuse to be lazy. It makes me angry.
Yes, I am a bit riled. Makes me wish I had been meaner.

Just want to toss this out for consideration - what if Lib was sick, or possibly an older bird and it was just his time?
Maybe this younger bird isn't an intruder so much as an eagle who happened to come around at a time when an older male's days were numbered, and it was crystal clear to the younger bird, and maybe even to Belle. They may have known that Lib was "in Hospice" or maybe had bird "Alzheimer's" even if it wasn't apparent to us.
Didn't someone say that Lib delivered an unusually small fish? Something that wasn't typical behavior for him? He may have been "on his journey home" and the other two birds may have known that. So Belle taking up with the young male "so soon" could have been because "HER" Lib wasn't really all there, even if he was still around a few days before he actually passed away.
I'm suggesting that it's possible Lib was older than Belle, and that he was really just sick. Anybody who watches the Hornby nest saw the tragedy there last year - Phoenix was struck down by illness just as she was about to fledge. The very young and the very old are most susceptible to illness.
Could be, kickngbird. We do not really know what happened to Lib, and even though we are having trouble accepting the new bird, we know that it is the way of nature.

K'bird, that's sort of along the lines that I, and others, have thought. Something had to be physically "wrong" for him to have let that Truder in. Could certainly have been age...no way of knowing how old he really was. IS, how old he IS! (I'm still holding on to hope). It could have been lead poison from eating from carrion, he could have gotten injured flying into an electrical line....so many possibilities. And maybe Belle did know...I believe animals just have a way of knowing some things we cannot perceive.
He was seen by some of our folks who made a visit to nest a week or so after the death of Paddy and was though to look OK. But it just may not have been so.

Lynn, yes, the Dr wants Steve to wear a strap thingy on his forearm just below the elbow while he's at work. But it was pricey and our insurance doesn't cover it of course.
Linda, we joke about who will take care of us when we are old...neither of us has any children to help us in our old age!!
