Thanks, Lynne, I'll ask about the pred...

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Thanks! I thought the first post was the PSF.

Hoda said...

Thanks Steve for the new thread and for the updates about the injured eagle...This blog seems so much a part of my day now so thank you too for that...

paula eagleholic said...

Yea, Lynne, it's all yours!

floralgirl said...

Yeah, Lynne, thanks but it's all yours!

paula eagleholic said...

Gotta hit it, catch ya later.

Kay said...

Lynne, don't the rules say the PSF goes to the person doing the call over ? That would be Megan ! What the heck there is plenty to go around---why not award you both with this prestigous prize !!!!

Red said...

I'm off to the barber shop too. Gotta get purty. lol

Kay said...

The prestigious one, too. Need to take time for spell checking.

Time to get ready for my Red Lobster date with Seth.

Kay said...

Red,how can a barber improve on perfection ?

hedgie said...

Cute bunny in bibs you sent MArgy, Lynne!

Red, glad all is well down your way! Don't let the barber overcharge you!!!

Fog was a total white-out at 4am when I was up....better by 8....still hanging on now. Glad that it's lifted enough to make nest view clear.

Kay, I have a Hazards All-weather NOAA weather radio....it can be set for continues, or for Alert. Totally programmable.....but takes a while to understand how to do that! Always hoping the batteries don't die when I have it off the charger so that I don't have to reprogram!

JudyE, glad that your work-week ends today!

Lynne, what is Tracey going to do??? And what a shame that you can't have job!

hedgie said...

Shar----PSF is at the hundreds post, right?

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Good morning my eagle peeps!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Hedgie, I think someone changed the rules on us.

floralgirl said...

Rules are meant to be broken, besides, I stepped in chicken poop a little while ago so I'm good for the day.

hedgie said...

Storks are all still roosting. Not know ing dates eggs were laid, I have no idea when they will hatch.

hedgie said...

BTW--was it Kay who asked??--Petra was voted off with Dmitry. She is the model who survived the tsunami in Indonesia with many severe orthopedic injuries, if I remember correctly, and lost her hubby or BF.

Hoda said...

OK!!! Now I am a newbie and I have been here for a few weeks and it is time to ask about three things...Sorry yes three...
What is Wax? Been waxed??? Awarded with Split and a prize PSF??? Split happens on two hundred entries but there is a cultural thing happening here...is there friendly competition as to who reports it first??? You all must have explained this several times and now it is my turn...would someone explain it to me Wax, PSF and Split if it is other than switching on 200 entries...Thanks

hedgie said...

Well, here's a story that will make you say "how stupid can someone be?" An armored courier security guard stopped to use the restroom at a Sheetz in PA....took off his gun in the r/r and FORGOT ir. Went back to retrieve, and DUH, it was GONE!
Bet he loses his job!

Lynne2 said...

no no Sharon, the person who FINDS the new thread gets the PSF!

Lynne2 said...

every 100th post gets WAX

Person who finds the new thread and does the call over gets the PSF

floralgirl said...

no, no, it's the person who was told by another person who notifies all the other people and that person that there is a new thread, then that person and those people...

Lynne2 said...

Lynn, I was really not aware that Tracey was leaving her position. I know she had considered it to take a full time job running the Baltimore County Animal Shelter, and I strongly advised her against making that move, as she would have to decide who lives or dies and then euthanize many animals. Not really something that someone like Tracey should be doing. But she's going to call me this evening and update me. No way can I take her job. Too much bending and lifting and there isn't enough Tramadol or Aleve in the world that can help me now. The part time position that I used to have would be perfect though. Not gonna happen....

wvgal_dana said...

Good Morning Eagle Family ( :

Need to catch up on a few comments and get some coffee.

bbs

Lynne2 said...

oh just stop it Megan. LOL!

Now, my understanding of WAX was that is was the first person who posted after the split. But I was WRONG apparently. So we don't have a prize yet for the first split post.

Lynne2 said...

I'm going to throw some stuff in the dryer and walk across the street and FIND THAT DANG TOWHEE!

glo said...

Yes what Megan said
"no, no, it's the person who was told by another person who notifies all the other people and that person that there is a new thread, then that person and those people..."

Good morning everyone. Back form coffee and dog treats and a few other things I really needed to take care of before coming on today.

It sure is time for that "NICE" spring weather, don't you think?

Love the bibbed bunny :-) Too cute.

Glad you all enjoyed the videos I posted yesterday. I needed something to look at besides the weather outside.

I may try to go get some flood pictures today but not sure just yet. Slate is pretty full.

I know I am forgetting lots. I have serious CRS unless I write it down which I didn't take time to do right now.

Will check in later when my to do list is a little shorter.

Widowed Dec 31, 1997 I so relate to so many journeys that are making their way here now. Still have lots of stuff but have also given lots away. When your hubby is a Pastor you not only lose him but also your home an din our denomination your church too. Its all a blur in some areas. Guess that's good.

Bob Quinn said...

Good morning. PSF, wax, it's all so confusing but I made the mistake of asking once before and ... well nuff said.

New photos:

Just Vicky said...

Laughing at Bob's comment! The "original" wax story was hilarious!

Kay said...

LOL, loving the PSF/Wax controversy. Megan, love your wry humor in post of 10:18.

It's so simple ! Person on the first page of the hundreds, the split, gets waxed.

Person who spots new thread and does the call over is rewarded with the PSF.

Lynn, yes twas' I who couldn't come up with Petra's name. When it all started I don't think I "knew" anyone but Sugar Ray and Kirstie. Not the best season ever, in my opinion. Just like music and dance. Thanks for the radio advice. The newspaper claims the sirens sounded in the middle of the night, but I think they mean in Licking County to the South. I sure didn't hear any. Lots of devastation in outlying areas, a couple of tornado sightings, no death or injury reported so far. Nothing but rain where I am.

Lynne2 said...

NBG Eagle Banding tomorrow!

Lynne2 said...

Banding to begin around 9:30am!

Hoda said...

Well I am glad to read that you are all as clear as I am about Wax PSF and who gets what award. At least I think there is an award and it is laughter is what I figure it is!!!;););)!!! Laughter is a very good award so I wish you all lots of that in your day today...I am off to get ready for yoga practice and some meditation today and will see you all in the afternoon, I am on Pacific Time so three hours behind the eastern time zone...

Costume Lady said...

GOOD MORNING...
Yes, Hoda, laughter is the best medicine and we get an over-dose of it on here:)

Costume Lady said...

I do love Megan's humor...and...she has pretty feet, to boot;)

hedgie said...

GLO-----what do you mean that you lost your church, too? What kind of denomination kicks out the minsters wife if he passes???

Hoda, I will email you the wax story, which is what started the whole wax prize (after reading it, the oldsters decided to reward people with it if they posted on the 100-200-300 marks.
PSF is poop shoot facial. The Chinese use hummingbird poop for a facial....so when someone was awarded the facial, Wanda (Costume Lady) would doctor up a pic of them, making them into real glamour-pusses!

Lynne2 said...

OK, I may just have THE prize for the first person to post after a split....

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

It is strange. Every time I see Bob Quinn's name, I think of Rumpelstiltskin. :)

Hoda said...

Thanks Hedgie, I would like to read the wax story...now I also understand why the video on the poop shoot facial was funny...I watched it and said OoooKkkk, but was not sure what it was all about...Life is so FUNNY...Off I go to yoga, meditation and Friends of the Library book sorting...BBL

Red said...

I have been waxed a couple of times....but you can keep your PSF's. lol

Geula said...

Hi everybody! How've you all been? I hope everyone was safe from the tornadoes and the fires in Texas!

Lolly said...

Well, good morning and hellooo, Geula! Fires are approx 75 miles west of me. Hope they are put out soon. Pray for rain!

Golly, it has taken me forever to catch up on the blog.

I get my daily giggles and laughs reading the blog. Thanks Megan, you make me laugh out loud!!

Love the avatars! Margy and Lynn, you have great ones! Love the bunny in bibs, perfect!

When was the last time we saw Belle?

hedgie said...

Hoda, I sent you the Wax story!

Hi, Geula!!! Glad you piped in!
How's everything in your corner of the world? What is your weather like? One more week before you know about your eagle, huh??? Nail-biter!!!

Lolly said...

Paula, I am concerned about Nugz. Watch him carefully! Especially after treatment. I will not go into it, but our last dog had one and not so pleasant outcome.

Flugg thief in nest!

So, our Lynne is an alien and has not learned our language. "Goo" morning to you, Lynne!☺

Costume Lady said...

SHARON, that BOB QUINN did give us a lot of laughs that October! He's a great guy...just as nice as his photos:)
We were all at the Rumsey Tavern and he was at the RUMPLESTILTSKIN:)

Lolly said...

LOL Just saw flugg thief disappear into the side of the nest. A nest within a nest?

Costume Lady said...

I have to take GG to her doctor appointment soon, but, when I get back, I will try to find some of the old POOP SHOOT FACIAL pictures:)

Costume Lady said...

Don't forget, Lolly, there is an apartment down on the first floor of the nest:)

Lolly said...

Hope GG gets a good check up with the doctor and he will find the source of her pain and discomfort and she gets some relief.

Off to eat some breakfast. Boy, am I running behind today!

Have a great day!

wvgal_dana said...

Lolly Been praying for rain for you. It is scary thinking it is that close to you and Jack. HUGS!!

PaulaHoping they can take care of Nugz very easily. That he heals quickly. Have fun at the Beach House....I continue when I'm out seeing things. lol

Good luck to Tracey and also hope the baby possums do well. Hoping that Tracey is sure about that job.

Lynn-Hedgie I pray you Mom doesn't
get carpet burn...it isn't funny but the way you described it is.

So happy things worked out well for
Chrissy's acct. that was hacked.

Megan I hope you can get your flowers in the ground. This is so important-I'm saying prayers cause this is your income!!!
Oh Megan by the way stepping in chicken poop
even with shoes on gives you a "foot special". lol

I just love all the avatars. Margy that was great Paula was able to help you with your bunny....very much like a cute lady
we know that wears bibs. ( :

I thought Megan/Floralgirl had it right:
"no, no, it's the person who was told by another person who notifies all the other
people and that person that there is a new thread, then that person and those people..." lol lol

glo said...

Hedgie We lived in a parsonage and in the Methodist denomination when the new pastor comes it is not considered very thoughtful for the previous minister and family to be close to the church physically as it can well make the transition harder for the new pastor and family. They don't kick you out. They just ask you to sort of go to another church so that the previous one can move on with their ministry. Its hard sometimes just with denominational move which the Methodists do a lot. BUT even harder if the pastor was loved and died and church is in grief. The congregation was very very kind to me indeed. But yes they have to accept and move on. Its not much fun. I am still in touch with a few. Those will be lifelong friends and very welcome to come to visit now.

wvgal_dana said...

Oh by the way Hedge-Lynn I loved
"Tickling a Penguin". Wouldn't that be neat to do that and be right there to hear it. ( :

Bob Quinn said...

Wanda - I believe that mound you commented on is a muskrat lodge.

hedgie said...

Lolly, not sure about Belle...maybe Mon.?? Or was it Sun.? A little worrisome.....

hedgie said...

SUNSHINE!!!!

Lolly, it is unfathomable that over 1 million acres have burned in TX. :(

paula eagleholic said...

Morning, again.

Didn't know if anyone noticed the updated date under the live feed.

Note: Audio is disabled due to outside training activities conducted by FWS. This training is not conducted near the eagles' nest, but the sound carries. The sound may be disabled through April 28. Thank you.

Bob Quinn said...

Wanda - The nest you asked about is not the cam nest. It is at another part of the refuge by the Harriet Tubman trail. There is actually a viewing platform where you can see the nest from (although the platform is pretty far away from the nest).

paula eagleholic said...

Nugz is fine...they drained the hematoma and shot some steroids in there. No ear infection.

hedgie said...

Glo, I understand about having to leave the manse...but it surely seems unfair to ask you to go elsewhere. I have never heard of that happening before....not in a case of the minister passing. That is the time when you need your church family the most.
Have seen the spouse be asked to step out if the minister has been bad and defrocked, tho', which sometimes seems harsh, too.

hedgie said...

Mine still says the 18th, Paula....not gonna refresh page to see if it changes, tho'!!! I still say, leave it off!

JudyEddy said...

Home during lunch hope everyone days is going good BBL

hedgie said...

Glad that Nugz is okay! Was he a good patient? Did you leave him for the day?

hedgie said...

LOL, sure hope Bob makes it this year. Wish he would bring Sarah with him! But maybe she's not into nature...

wvgal_dana said...

Paula So glad to hear Nugz did well and is on the to healing. ( : Happy times !!

Going to leave to go into town

Wanda, Hope the Dr visit for GG is successful in that they find out what is causing her pain.

Lynne, the link for your fishycure didn't work!

Wax and PSF were both for hitting the 100, 200, 300 mark....that was when the blog didn't split at the 200 mark...it was one, long continuous page!

Lynne2 said...

had a lovely walk across the street. The dang Towhee shut up as soon as I got over there, and started again as soon as I got back. Rascal.

paula eagleholic said...

Nugz is home...they just drained it with a needle...it's not bleeding or draining, so he was OK to leave home...and it was mostly fluid in the hematoma

paula eagleholic said...

OH. Mrs Robin was incubating when I got back from the vets!

paula eagleholic said...

Did you see the Osprey Poop shoot picture of Bobs? Amazing!!

Another reminder: NBG will be banding live on-cam tomorrow morning around 0930!

For newbies who don't know...shortly after joining the group two years ago, Shirley and Judie and Darth met in person at a eagle release in suburban VA.
And Iris met Chrissy in England last summer. I met Candy and Jim while at the beach last fall and then the following week they came for Open House again (well, it was Jim's first time!). Glo and Vicky hooked up out in IL years ago. So any of you who feel like you are so far away, you just never know what can happen!!!!

hedgie said...

Hello, California Jim! How's SoCal today?

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Everyone,
Dropping in for a quick "Howdy" before I hit the road running to do some errands. Got a late start today, after sleeping in late.

Bob Quinn's new photos are FANTASTIC!!

Lynne, I hope Tracey thinks long and hard about the new job. I'm afraid some of those duties would break her heart! Would be nice if you could get your old job back at Irvine!

Praying that the fires in TX will be put out quickly! Glad you are not too close, Lolly!

Hoping for a good report from GG's Dr.
Prayers!

Do we know for sure WHEN we last saw Belle? I wish I had time today to check it out, but too much to get done. Now I'm concerned about HER!
Yikes!

Well, need to get going. Will check in later. Have a good day, everyone!

movin said...

Morning, Hedgie.
I can see some bright sunlight out there, and it's warmed up to 63° so far, but it's supposed to be cloudy enough to hold the max down to maybe 69°.

In looking back through the posts, it appears the last time Belle was in the nest was 8-something Sunday night?

Starling alert, our nest.

Lolly said...

LOL Do not think I could do a fishicure or whatever it is called! That looks too ticklish to me! Wow!

Have finished our walking and now heading outdoors. The rain brought cooler temps. Going to be pleasant working out and spreading the rest of the mulch.

I want Belle to appear at the nest!!!!

Out I go! Bye!

Does anyone know what's going on at the Maine nest?

About a week ago when I looked in, it looked like they were incubating eggs, but today it's blowing like H., and there's no sign of an adult on the nest....

Hi,

Counting the minutes until spring break.

I will be back when I am free.

movin said...

When I was in Nam (northern part, near the DMZ), we would sometimes go to the river to take baths and wash clothes. And they had a bunch of little minnow-like fish that would feed on your legs, jungle-rot sores and whatever else they found.

We laughingly called them Piranha, but nobody disappeared or anything.

Lynne2 said...

Jim I think the Maine nest is over for the season. There was an intruder, the female disappeared for a few days, the male was off the eggs for long periods of time, eggs probably damaged in the fight on the nest, female returned eventually but didn't incubate...male finally gave up a few day ago.

Lori O. said...

Hey Eagle Budsters!

I've been lurking for a few minutes and trying to catch up on posts - ya'll are CRAZY today.

Wax and PSF? What does PSF stand for? Last time I asked a question like that I found out about HP! I do know about Wax know - thank you all for sharing that little jewel!

Going for a nap now so I'll catch up tonight. You guys are too quick for me now!

Are we starting to worry about Belle now? Maybe she found Lib and their hiding out together, in love, forever. Ahhhhh.

OH - check out my new avatar that Miss Lynne2 found for me today! Thanks Lynne. I love it ♥

I think that Maine nest is too prime. And the weather is too extreme there ... it's right on the water.

Every year it seems something destroys the nesting opportunity.

C(°Ù¿°)D Jim

Lynne2 said...

I guess other eagles build nests in that climate and near the water...maybe this nest is somehow jinxed! It's really a shame.

paula eagleholic said...

hA, ha....CUTE PIC LORI~!

Lynne2 said...

Glo, you mean that it's just not good enough for the widow of a beloved pastor to remain a part of his former church? I mean, I would certainly see why you'd need to move out of the house, but you are "encourage" to go elsewhere to worship as well? WELL. I could see where you or any widow may not want to stay, but to be encouraged not to? This is where I have my HUGE problems with "organized" religion. JMHO (and TOTALLY realizing that HE disapproves of judging others) but I just don't think that's very Chirst-like. I'm sure glad you still have a few good friends from there!

Lynne2 said...

Isn't that the strangest looking "bunny"? LOL!

Well, I've got to take care of business. Have a good day.

hedgie said...

As Lynne said, Maine nest's season is over.
I've heard about the fish in the rivers in Asia doing the same thing as the new fad pedicure fish, Jim. If you're ticklish, it would be funny. But it's harmless, and certainly would be easier than using a pumice stone!

hedgie said...

Lori----how have you missed PSF's??? We've been rehashing that one for a few days!!! Read back earlier today to my comment to Hoda!

Lolly said...

How is this for an Easter avatar? A Harpy Eagle with bunny ears? Ft. Worth zoo has had a Harpy Eagle for years. I always called it the Happy Eagle. Hated to take away my TEAM LIBERTY avatar! Oh, well, for a few days I guess I can do it.

hedgie said...

Lori, Lynne found you a good avatar, too!!!

Wind is howling here. Sun is pretty, and temp is 78°. Forecast for lots of rain apparently wrong! Tho' I think they are calling for possible storms later.

DanaMo said...

WOW Lynne2 you have been productive. Wish I could say the same. Had an early dismissal from school, but 2 dentist appointments and a stop at the grocery store. I'm thinking about a nap now.

PA falcons have a hatch!

glo said...

Thanks Lynne2 it was a tough time and no one said I had to go. The powers that be make it pretty clear to the past families that they need to get out of the way of the present families. Your hands are very full at that time and you just don't need any hassles. As I said the congregation was ad many still are very kind indeed to me.

glo said...

Actually Lynne2 To add to what I just said My daughter was engaged to be married BUT she "emotionally" could not walk down that aisle in that church without her dad so actually the wedding was postponed 1 year and moved totally to a different church in a Historic Site we were aware of and all of our church friends from a few congregations were invited to come there for the wedding. A Pastor friend was asked to do the ceremony. It worked well enough but yep it does throw a few curves. No one said she couldn't get married in the church she had grown up in but yes she didn't want to walk down that aisle without Dad. Her brother walked her down the aisle when the time came.

Lynne2 said...

wow Glo, so sorry you all had to deal with all of that.

DanaMO, I try to NEVER let my hubby go to the Grossery store...he'll go 30 dollars over budget and then pull out the receipt so he can show me how much he saved using the discount card!

Liz said...

Movin, Lynne, about Bri Maine, Trooper stopped incubated on Sunday. In the meantime, a "couple" has been making several appearances. Chatters do not think it's the resident couple. Also, I just saw a few minutes ago, a 4 yr juvie was on the nest eatting, an an adult came into the nest and took over the eatting. As for this nest being a prime location.....it's been empty for a few years.

Lynne2 said...

Oh my gosh Liz! It's like a circus there....

DanaMo said...

Lynne, My husband is much better than I am at the store. I buy what I want, he buys what we need. That's no fun.

Good afternoon everyone!

Thanks again for the b-day greetings. It was the same s#%@ on another day, but I did get to eat out and have a meal not prepared by relatives.

Lynne, you found some really good avatars. Love the bunny in bibs. It is so fitting for Margy. And the hedgehogs for Lynn, another good fit. When can I get mine?

Bob, your pictures are great as usual. You even caught some osprey hp. Could that be construed as porn? ☺☺

Paula, thanks for heads up on the PA falcons. I've been neglecting them with all the drama in WV and IA.

My "kits" were fighting over the windowsills so had to open one for each. Sure is nice for a change. I know, it won't last. More rain in the forecast. May flowers should be beautiful this year.

Megan, hope you get some sunshine soon. Don't think the posies and veggies like the mud either.

The guys are outside cleaning up after the storm last night and the other days. Guess I should check on them. don't want to lose any more of my posies.

Well I am back from a very good day...The work for Friends of the Library did not take as long as I thought it would and we are getting ready for a book sale at the end of the month...It surprises me how much money we make on book sales...close to four thouseand dollars last time!!!
Glad to hear Nugz is doing well Paula and that his ears have been drained.
Hedgie I got the WAX story and have not yet stopped laughing, HILARIOUS!!! Thanks for sending it...Someone said this was a CRAZY group and we certainly are, so GLAD I am here with you all.
I did notice the no sound posting at OC site and am glad as it makes for a good quality picture...the colour and the resolution is great the way it is right now.
NO eggs hatched yet at the White Rock BC site...I think the first egg is not viable it was exposed to the elements for a long time before the second egg arrived. They are both incubating still. I am getting to understand that an egg being laid does not mean an egg hatched necessarily...I think of the Duke Farms situation this morning also...

Liz said...

Hedgie, yes, Decorah dad used his dadbrella yesterday too. At one point, mom and dad created a tipi type, together.

You just have a Hazardous Weather statement Red, but yep, see those storms to the west of you. Points a bit south of you are under a Severe T'storm Watch

Lynne2 said...

the storms in PA seem to be dying out already....

JudyEddy said...

See my new bunnyeagle so it would be Hoppy eagleaster or what?? LOL

PA Nana said...

LOL! Thanks Lynne. Also thanks to Red, I think. Didn't recognize the name Bill. You're all sooo kind.

Lynne2 said...

JUDYE that is so cool!!!! How did you make that?

hedgie said...

Weather guy was just talking about the tornado warning at Busch tadium in St. Louis last evening (where the Nats were to play) and he said "they had to get all of the stands out of the fans"-------LOL.....didn't correct himself, either!!

I see trashcan lid lying in the driveway. Can't see can---had it chained to a tree....guess I better go look. Wish I had a helmet!

Good afternoon friends! Sharon said that Belle hasn't been seen this week. Is that true? Oh Lord, I don't think I can stand much more!!!

Granny Riffe is in the hospital again with her gallbladder. It is going to have to come out this time I think. The heart doctor is supposed to come in this afternoon and give the final say so. She is miserable with it and has been for years. She was on the stretcher to go to surgery a few years ago and backed out and would not have it done. So, get them Momster prayers going ladies and gents!!

I am feeling some better, wore out. I had to go back to work today, found out that my short term disability will not pay for a pre-existing condition. So that really leaves a mark on us big-time!!! We were really counting on that for paying bills but....

Love and hugs all around! Will check back with ya'll later.

JudyEddy said...

Yeah my blue link worked this time I know I have the tools option on by tool bar but can't figure that out I'm using the instructions that Glo sent the the link

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

JudyE, I am stealing that avatar from you if you don't mind!!!

Lynne2 said...

Prayers for Granny, Sissy. Take it easy....please. We don't want you back in the Hospital anymore!

JudyE how did you add the text?

Lynn, I get words backwards like that often. SO embarrassing...usually don't know I've done so until someone points it out.

Lynne2 said...

HEY NO AVATAR STEALING!!!!

hedgie said...

More good avatars!!!!

Red said...

Sissy, gallbladder surgery is a snap nowdays. I had mine out two years ago on my birthday and was home that same evening. Just had to take it easy for a few days. Hardly any pain.

White Rock BC Nest has a Pip and Dad brought a reasonable size fish to the nest...They are both on the nest squawking...I think it is the second egg that has the pip, others are still hoping it is the first. I hope I am wrong, but hink I am not. Time will tell.

PA Nana said...

Thanks for the reminder Lynne. Just checked our local weather. Yikes! We're under a severe t-storm watch until 11 pm. Seems we're getting them regularly. Wish I could send some to Lolly.

Prayers for Granny Riffe. Take care of yourself too Sissy.

Forgot to post congrats for Shirley's retirement. Yippee!
You're going to love it and wonder how you found the time to work.

It's very, very windy here and getting darker. Darn!

JudyE, what a clever young lady you are. The avatar is great ! When dogs are dual breeds they are called such things as Schnoodles,Puggles, Labradoodles, Shepadoodles. So I'm thinkin', your little fella could be a Bunagle or a Eagabun or a Hareagle.

Hoda said...

Sissy , I agree with Red about the surgery. I have three small little scars and they let me out of the hospital in half a day.It is all good.

Prayers for Granny Riffe. Also glad to hear Nugz is OK. I once had a dog part beagle, part dalmation who would get those on his ears.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Yeah, I know the surgery is not bad but she is 89 years old and in very frail health. The docs would not clear her to have it for the past 4 times she has had symptoms but now her quality of life is so bad with the pain that they are gonna have to do something, risks and all.

Thanks for all the well wishes. You guys rock!!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Just until Easter and then it goes back to TEAM LIBERTY!!

Thanks Lynne2!! :)

Lynne2 said...

Just checked the radar again Diann, no sign of anything developing at all...there were some small cells, but they are gone. Maybe it will brew later on so don't let your guard down!

JudyE, as soon as I have time, I will check that all out, thanks!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

They are saying we won't get any rain here this evening, just wind. Tom is out there washing our vehicles from the lake this weekend. They are nasty, look like we have been mud bogging!!!

Kay said...

Glo, yours is an interesting story. Each case is unique unto itself. The main thing is to triumph over such a profound loss and come out strong and independent. We serve our dear mates memories well by doing so !

Guela ! So happy to "see" you ! I guess you're snoozin' now, but I thank you for being the first to greet and welcome me last month. At the time I had no idea just how quickly you would all become friends that would mean so much to me !

Paula, big relief on Nugz--tell him not to get any paint in that ear this weekend !

Lynne2, the fish cure ! A couple of years ago a "fish cure salon" came to town. They operated for a few months and were shut down by the Health Dept. ! Seems things weren't too sanitary there.

Megan, you've tickled my funny bone again with your Kathy Lee comment. I rarely watch, but can't see how she and Hoda have been able to work together so long. She's a camera and mike hog while Hoda is down to earth and professional. JMHO !

Here's hoping GG and Granny Riffe get good care and are in the pink again in no time.

Seth and I had a great lunch--his dad is deathly allergic to fish and so it isn't served in his home and he loves it. He gets his fish fixes at my house and several times a year at Red Lobster. Afterward we picked up his dog, Malcolm, and they spent the rest of the day with me. Fun !

Like many of you, I'm longing to see Belle and to know she's okay !

PA Nana said...

Lynne, The latest report has deleted some western counties so maybe we'll be next.

The not knowing is what's so bad. Do we continue the work outside or put the equipment away.....??

I just posted a photo of Mrs Red and myself on my blog. I've talked so much about Diane I figure it's time to bring her out of the closet. lol

hedgie said...

Weather questions answered: it's Severe Weather Awareness Week! Almost best to learn by example, I guess!

Lynne2 said...

the only thing that kinda sucks where we camp is that there is ZERO radio or cell reception. But the rangers will alert the campers in case of severe weather.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Well, Mrs. Red is gorgeous!

PA Nana said...

Back briefly. Trying another avatar.

DanaMo said...

Where do you camp Lynne2?

I have a feeling we are not going to have many opportunities to camp this year we have so much going on. Maybe by fall things will settle down for some weekend trips...but I'm NOT going to wish summer away! :) After all I am a teacher LOL!

hedgie said...

JudyE---thanks for explaining how you did your avatar! Will have to check out that program.

Red....haven't you shared that pic before?? Sure looks familiar! Your Diane is a pretty lady.

hedgie said...

So sorry that Granny Riffe is feeling so poorly. Prayers that all goes well.

NCSuzan said...

Good afternoon eaglebuddies.

Sissy, I hope you take it easy and allow your bosy to heal. It is a hard job, though, isn't it? We will be there for you if you need us.

Lynne, how are you? Your knees? And are you over pneumonia? I can't think that spring is maybe not good for you with pollen and allergens floating around. I have lung issues and hope you are very careful.

Shirley, retirement? Yay! for you. You have given to others your whole life now it is your turn to reap those benefits.

I really miss the nest activities. There is something to be said for continuity. But lots going on in the eagle world.

Changed my avatar for Easter. Wish we could use animation. There are some really cute icons and stuff out there.

Have I used enough space? LOL Please all take care. For GG and Granny Riffe only the best thoughts.

hedgie said...

Hi, NCSuzan....your avatar is great, too!! I THINK at one time that our animated avatars DID work...but it's been a long time ago!

Lynne2 said...

SUZ, allergies not a problem...at least so far! The knees on the other hand are a very sore subject! Considering Synvisc injections now.

DanaMo, we camp in Garrett Co in Savage Forest at Big Run. LOVE it there!

hedgie said...

Wonder why our cam is zoomed again??

hedgie said...

Or is just an illusion because of the deep shadows??

Kay said...

Lynn, I think it is an illusion due to lighting/shadows.

Hoda said...

The camera IS zoomed in Hedgie...I appreciated the wider view before because it allowed me to see when another bird flew by the nest...It is very clear with good resolution even zoomed in
