Ok, here are the questions I have so far....let me know if there are any I should add: Why hasn't belle been back on the nest? Would Liberty concede victory without getting injured? i.e., is it a fight to the death? Was she feeding from her crop? Was she feeding saliva (forget the word)? Did she finally go get a fish out of desparation? Why didn't she do it earlier? Would the male intruder have not wanted the eaglet to survive? Why did he unbury the eaglet -- he seemed obsessed with it!
Robyn, I forgot to tell you how much I enjoyed meeting you today. It was so nice to meet the person behind the posts. :)
Loretta, I love the word 'gigolo' for the intruder. LOL
And Margy added 'ugly toes,' so I guess he is an Ugly Toed Gigolo. Surely Belle would not choose him over the regal Liberty.
Sharon, I shudder to think that Liberty would betray the beautiful Belle with some skank turkey vulture. Liberty, please come back and say it isn't so!
Just thought I'd pass this on for anyone interested who is able to get WV public broadcasting tv stations. Not sure what it is about exactly but it was posted on their facebook page.
West Virginia Raptor Rehabilitation Center hopes you all watch "This Week in West Virginia" tomorrow at 8pm (or on Sunday at 6pm) on any WV PBS station. The WVRRC will be featured!
@Mema Jo I think she was guarding the egg and baby from the strange mail because she figured he would kill it. Once they have passed, now her attitude is changing.
@Scott Had the intruder already been in the nest and dug POJ up & then left and then Belle dug the new deeper grave...Was the fight the very next time the intruder came back into the nest...
We'll have two more joining us soon. My aunt and mom were talking with me tonight and have been watching the cam, so I told them to stop by here instead of dealing with the OD forums.
Soon I will learn how to do a blog. I may be a retired teacher, but computers were my weak link. My hubby would come to the school and I would tell him what I wanted to do in a computer lesson and he would walk me through it.
He is so surprised at what I can do on the cams but skipper at Hancock taught me all I needed to know.
@Mema Jo I was talking about the first time when POJ was with us. I think the body was still around when she went for his eyes and scratching his back, but I could be wrong about that. Have to check the video...It's all such a blur :)
Christine the times that the eagles are in their nest is 1) making nestorations 2)incubation 3) eating. The adult eagles were alway away from the nest for sleeping above perched on the limb when there were no eggs or eaglets.
I have 9 1/2 hrs. on my cam.....but no action and too dark to see much, so think I'm going to turn it off for today! And, then, of ocurse, something will happen!!
Well Hegie, if something happens it too dark and we won't see it anyhow. I usually turn live feed off and just check still cam - I realize I don't have sound as an alarm but that's how I do it.
@Christine: I believe the word you need is "nares" - someone correct if wrong. And I would still like to know why the juvie decided to intrude on the nest at this time? It wasn't courting season and this pair had a clutch - why now?
Jo & Scott, Paddy was very covered up during the fight. I'd have to think back to see if that was Truder's first time back since she recovered him or not.
Video should be ready shortly, not real interesting...didn't get the back part of Truder cause I didn't have the program up yet...but it shows some good views of Truder.
Timeline...A gal over at Hancock that I email back and forth with, plus I put info on their forum, was going to construct a timeline...we can use that and go from there...
I should have put some of that on the calendar at the group...
I think my gross memory of the intruder and why I shiver thinking about him was when he first came into the nest and like a dog knowing where he buried his bone, he dug up the ground and dragged POJ out. And I remember Dr Sharpe saying that it wouldn't be unusual for the adult to dispose of a dead chick by putting it to the side or taking it away from or eating the chick. After all they are vultures and we are humans.
OK even more confused Susan, I need to get my mom on here to do this herself...
OK Isla, Eric was there until 2009 than it was 7Y (Laird) when Eric didn't return in 2010. OMG too much for me
Then Henry was the one in Garten who kicked the eggs out VS replaced Henry but he was a loser then Odin the hero came thru, VS had possibly 2 nests going on,
I need to ask how do you watch all this and not be confused in daily life, I know I would be lol
I am at Sissy's and getting ready for bed. Going to get up early and try to get some of my 4 hours of work that I have to do tomorrow early. Don't have a clue what is happening on here and am too tired to read. Anything exciting?
The forum gals/guys are great for eagle talk only and recording the events with videos. At a time like this it is regretful that we don't do that - That's why I said we needed a secretary or a recorder and by golly, Paula found us one.
Mema Jo, I didn't realize Belle would/should stay in the nest with no babies. Hmmmmm. Seems like she would be able to protect her territory better if she was out patrolling. Or maybe if you possess the nest, the territory comes with it??? I don't know.
Belle kicking Turdy's butt was Tuesday at @ 11:07 a.m. Poor Paddy was gone already.
SHARON - Just rehashing this crazy week. Take care of Sissy & Tom & Yourself. Support is what you are all about. Give her our love and let her know we are praying for her.....
Do you miss your dogs? T-Bird is having a blast with them.
Dr Sharpe also pointed out that once a clutch is in the nest - that is the precise time for an intruder to come and cause havoc trying to get that nest.
@In my dreams I want our intruder just to be Liberty in disguise with a scar from his fight to keep Belle! :<( I really am going to miss him..... Please come back Liberty ♥
Christine, Yes, nares, as Paula said, are the nostrils & I think kickingbird found info that when eagles feed their young, they secrete a saline liquid onto the food . There probably was no food in her mouth, but she did do the beak shake & all, indicating it was that fluid. I think maybe Dr. Sharpe said or the US/FWS biologist that the chick chirping may stimulate the secretion.
Dear Lynn, If I remember correctly, you asked about my Dad in FL. When he retired from Commerce Dept., he moved to Dunedin. He's been gone for many a year---probably kicking back a few and singing along in the pub in the sky! ☺
Altho I drink a lot of coffee, my elevated eye pressure is probably genetic. I'm not bad enough yet for eye drops. Been up a little for years. That's what Birthdays are all about, even if you're still 39!! LOL
JO PAM ROBYN, thank you so much for going to the nest! Sorry Lib was not seen though.
Christine, hope you have fun at the raptor center tomorrow and have a good talk with the eagle expert!
Bev, the meatloaf was delicious!
Shcicke good point on the theory that maybe they mated for life when there were fewer, and less competition for territory. Things have changed, and as has been stated, this "event" is good in that is shows the population is growing. BUT BUT BUT....so is the human population, and therefore encroachment on the eagle's (and all wildlife's) territories.....
Long day, very busy, and I'll be going in tomorrow all day as well. Not scheduled but needed so I'll be there.
Took a long long time to read through the posts and I must get to bed now. Have a good evening all.
Lynn,I think I'm gonna have to start writing notes when I look at blog from time to tie! Too much to go back later and find!!Or use email!!! ☺
Got some stuff (like pack lunch) to do for work in AM. Have to work this Sat. at Park (BOO, I Hate early AMs) Hope to find out if still 2 adults at nest and will make some calls to try & track any info on injured eagle at rehab.
If I don't get back, Pleasant Feather Dreams to all ;>)
Special thoughts and prayers for Sissy & Delphia and all who need them---& all God's creatures
I think my computer has done some kind of record My cam has not need refreshed for the whole day Right now it says 15:20 before I had to hit refresh ever 14 min Hmm wonder why Just got back from a parade in St Petersburg , for the Grand Prix race coming up Festival of State Parade was nice Now have to read 200 post Should get to bed I want to take my grand daughter to see Winter the Dolphin tomorrow I want to see the new dolphin calf apparently from the live cam it looks like you can pet him from the edge of the tank will find out I guess I read a update on FB looks like Lib was not sited today so sad :o(
Good night, Lynne and Loretta. We are dropping like flies! I won't be far behind.....not used to getting up at 6:30 and staying up!! I'll catch the news and then head for the tub, and then fleece sheets, here I come!
Just thought of something for Christine to ask tomorrow. Doesn't Belle have the final say on who she will allow to have HP with her? In other words, The intruder would still have to convince her??? and that wouldn't happen now until late fall or early next year, right?
Night night everyone, coughing getting some better, finally got some anti-biotics!
Prayers for Sissy and the entire family
Prayers for Delphia that "maybe" her report could be back tomorrow ...I know, not likely, but worth a try.
Just heard that my cousin Joyce is not expected to live the weekend. She lives in TN and has been battling Lymphoma. Your prayers would be appreciated.
Prayers for all who need them creatures great and small
So, Jack and I were sitting outside having our glasses of wine and I was catching him up on the afternoon's activities at the nest. His input...so if Belle takes up with Truder, and they have a clutch those eaglets would be little b_______s. LOL
Hi,Gang, Well, I went and turned in a bunch of transcription at school this evening. Still a LOT more to do! I'm hangin' in there, though.
Haven't had time to really catch up here at this point, but did see the video of today's visits--TY, Paula!
Still rooting for TEAM LIBERTY!!!!
Well, praying for Bev for her surgery tomorrow, and for Sharon. Also for Delphia.
I'm going to go watch some TV--maybe some stuff I've recorded, but haven't had time to watch. Tomorrow is soon enough to tackle more homework. Gotta spend time with my puppy, too. She is eating well, taking her meds without a problem (thank GOD for "pill pockets"), and her intestines are waking up OK. She pooped twice so far today. Thanks, Judie, for the night light. I'm making sure that the porch light is on. Prayers said for everyone, and for all creatures--especially Lib and Belle. The eye-scanner security and Dana's thumbprint-scanner security are enabled. (NO INTRUDERS ALLOWED!) Sleep well, and I'll be back later if I can't sleep, or in the morning light if I can sleep. God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! :o]
Oh, Iris! Just saw your post about your cousin Joyce--prayers for her, and for you and your whole family! Glad you are finally feeling better. Well, goodnight, everyone!
Robyn, we were studying his talons today. His middle "toe" is very long. Since he is young yet his feathers could change. So, we were really looking at his talons. All we could do.
Heading to bed. Nite all! Special prayers for Momster Beverly aka Sissy during her surgery tomorrow morning.
I can see the two heads also. Fairly close together at times. Hmm...ok new scenario...Belle has kicked Lib to the curb and is now carrying on with a "younger man." Does that make Belle a cougar? (I had to say that lol)
LOL Lori, see my comment earlier about Belle possibly being a cougar. ;) Yes, nest is sooo dark. I don't see anything in it at the moment tho from what I can see.
Hi Trish. Nest is still very dark. Can't see anything nor any eagle. Can't hear anything - at work now and there's no sound, so thanks everyone for the audio updates in the morning. I really appreciate it.
I could just cry. So many mornings I could not start my day or job without knowing that I had Belle and Liberty to sort of hold my hand, to just know they were there. They were grounding, peaceful and joy to me. Who would have thought that we would ever be looking at an empty nest? No Lib. No Belle. No eaglet. But, I keep watching... hope and pray that at any moment Belle AND Liberty, even Belle OR Lib will fly into this empty nest again, soon.
Good thing I don't drink, but could you pass the meds? Addicted to the good feelings Belle and Lib always brought.
Lori, I know they are not Belle and Liberty, but these guys have been making me smile. Just watching the chicks interacting with each other makes me even laugh out loud somethimes. To dark for cam o be on yet, but soon. Hope it helps..... http://www.wvec.com/marketplace/microsite-content/eagle-cam.html
Good morning. Lori, I am so with you on that. I don't know that the warm fuzzy feelings will ever come with Belle and whothehellever. Breaks my heart every time I think about it. Maybe I just need to quit thinking about it.
I am working, trying to get my hours in before Sissy goes for surgery.
I believe the "warm and fuzzy" feelings will return the next time we see an eaglet emerge from an egg in this nest, no matter who the parents are. We can't help but love the downy little bobbleheads ! It will symbolize new birth, a new day and hope for the future of the magnificent American Bald Eagle.
Thanks, Sharon ! That sent me straight to Google for definition ! I didn't know that name for it, but a dear old friend who lives across the country from me had that surgery a year ago. It has made all the difference in the world to her. May God grant the same healing outcome for your Sissy !
Sharon, my prayers are with Sissy and you too! Hoping for some true relief for Sissy after a speedy and complete healing! (((HUGS))) to both of you!! TEAM LIBERTY!!!!!!!
You know, I have a feeling that the situation at our nest may be rewriting the books about Bald Eagles. It's only in recent years that the world has had nest cams 24/7 to watch what goes on. In the past, unless they have had "wing blings" or have been banded with colored bands, it has been difficult to tell who's with who--look what we've been going through! The adults look so much alike once they reach adult plumage, too. I still hope that Belle and LIB prevail! TEAM LIBERTY!!!!
Have gotten Hubby off to work a while ago; now for some coffee! Oops! IE quit on my live cam!! Better go fix that if possible. If not, thankful for FF! Have a good morning, everyone. BBIALW...
Yeah, Sunday weather- here's Foot's forecast on that- we are now watching a winter storm making its' way towards our area, and will most likely cause a minor snow/slush accumulation by Sunday morning. Expect snow to start by 1am or so Sunday morning and possibly not changing over to rain or ending until the early afternoon hours. As we know, it is very hard to see any snow accumulation during daylight hours in the month of March, so after a few hours of daylight on Sunday the accumulation that occurs overnight should become slushy and eventually just become plain water on roads.
Good morning all! Frosty here this morning. Gotta love SPRING! It would be nice if it was all sunshine and mild temps, but it IS a season of turmoil and change as the warmth and cold battle it out....
See we currently have an empty nest, will read posts since last night to see if I missed anything.
Prayers for Sissy this morning!
Hey Jenny! Welcome to the blog!
Iris, so sorry about Joyce, prayers for a peaceful transition for her. Glad your cough is getting better.
Hmm, I was reading back and see we had a bizzaro midnight nest rendezvous....
Hi, Megan, Thanks for the weather report! Sounds like you guys are in for an interesting weekend. They have been predicting more rain for SoCal, but said there may be a revised weather report for us now. Keep you posted. I'll be back soon--need coffee badly. Have a good morning, and don't forget to wear red for our troops! :o]
Oh--Good Morning, Lynne! Just happened to see your post! Yeah, never a dull moment, I guess. Need to try to stay on task with homework, but that plan just might fly out the window, depending on what happens at the nest. Can't help myself--My name is Andy, and I'm a Lib and Belle addict! :o]
I'm delighted to know this is a "wear red on Fridays for the troops" group. I got that habit started at my workplace six or seven years ago. I've since retired, but the tradition lives on there.
I think you are spot on about the rewriting of Eagle Behavior 101, due to the scientific knowledge the cams make possible.
Lynne, I like your medical term for my little problem! A new word for our blog dictionary! Margy, hope you have a relatively uneventful day at work! OK, I'm desperate for coffee! BBIALW!
Just had to come back and say....I just opened the front window up to fill the bird feeder and the smell of the hyacinths growing out there is WONDERFUL!! The half of a moon is in the beautiful clear sky above the apple tree, and below the tree my little pair of bluebirds are flitting around and on the bluebird house. It's cold, but it's still SPRING!!

«Oldest ‹Older 601 – 800 of 920 Newer› Newest»Ok, here are the questions I have so far....let me know if there are any I should add:
Why hasn't belle been back on the nest?
LOL

Sharon, I shudder to think that Liberty would betray the beautiful Belle with some skank turkey vulture. Liberty, please come back and say it isn't so!
@Mema, I guess Libery was fighting his fight off nest and she was fighting to keep Paddy safe?
Just thought I'd pass this on for anyone interested who is able to get WV public broadcasting tv stations. Not sure what it is about exactly but it was posted on their facebook page.
West Virginia Raptor Rehabilitation Center
hopes you all watch "This Week in West Virginia" tomorrow at 8pm (or on Sunday at 6pm) on any WV PBS station. The WVRRC will be featured!
The night light is on for others coming in. Restful sleep for all.
@Mema Jo I think she was guarding the egg and baby from the strange mail because she figured he would kill it. Once they have passed, now her attitude is changing.
Pam you too, it was great talking about the 80's too! Tori always says OH GAWD mom is reminiscing again...lol
Christine, I like that you have written out your questions so you won't forget to ask each of them.
My kinda newbie theory is that Belle is not on the nest because she no longer has a reason to be.
:(
She probably did not go sooner because there was no way she was going to leave the eaglet unprotected while she hunted.
Well now you know how it feels to SPLIT
let alone be the first to do it. That
moment of thinking you are all alone...
The comment I just made should have been made on the previous page of 400.
You WVsUSAn were the first spliter over there.........
@Scott Had the intruder already been in the nest and dug POJ up & then left
and then Belle dug the new deeper grave...Was the fight the very next time the intruder came back into the nest...
Thanks Jen for that info on the television show coming up on the WVPub channels !
We'll have two more joining us soon. My aunt and mom were talking with me tonight and have been watching the cam, so I told them to stop by here instead of dealing with the OD forums.
Thanks everyone for being so welcoming.
I am finally getting used to the splits.
Soon I will learn how to do a blog.

you know what??
If we get a lot of our newcomers for the next Open House we better be renting a convention center!
Robyn. Henry was a playa. Laird is a champ. Lady Isla will rock forever!
Scotland is 4 hrs ahead.
Lynn. Hahahaha. Dag shd have been "they HAD turkeys.". DAGone auto correct sucks sometimes.
Before people start disappearing for the night en masse:
Sissy, praying for you to have a very successful outcome tomorrow!
Shar---keep us posted, please!
Christine, have a great adventure and hope you come back with more insight to share. LOL, we might end up even more confused!
Thanks to our ground crew today!
@Mema Jo I was talking about the first time when POJ was with us. I think the body was still around when she went for his eyes and scratching his back, but I could be wrong about that. Have to check the video...It's all such a blur :)

Well Hegie, if something happens it too dark and we won't see it anyhow.
I usually turn live feed off and just check still cam - I realize I don't have sound as an alarm but that's how I do it.

Hi all! Have been watch AI and now Grey's while trying to catch up on the blog. LOL Finally did!!
And, ta dah...my cam viewing time is now at 4 hours and 21 minutes. Wahooo!
Christine
It was feeding from the nares.
Jo & Scott,
Paddy was very covered up during the fight. I'd have to think back to see if that was Truder's first time back since she recovered him or not.
@PammySue - Belle will not leave her nest even if she doesn't have any apparent reason to stay - she has to stay to protect and keep her territory.
Video should be ready shortly, not real interesting...didn't get the back part of Truder cause I didn't have the program up yet...but it shows some good views of Truder.
Robyn. Pls b sure to share LoTL blog w ur mom. I emailed today. B glad to send to you.
@Mema Jo Same here...I just remember thinking that she was protecting the egg and baby....

T-Bird is having a blast with them.
loL ♥
I do miss my boys but Mopsy is with me. I don't go much without her.
Sharon, Turdy was in the nest during nestorations @ 7:41. Only stayed for a couple minutes.
@PammySue Stay at the nest not
necessarily 'in' it. They usually
eat in the nest.
Dr Sharpe also pointed out that once a clutch is in the nest - that is the
precise time for an intruder to come and cause havoc trying to get that
nest.
Shar---nothing happening. GO TO BED!!! Sleep tight---Sissy, too. We'll be with you in prayer and spirit tomorrow. (((HUGS)))!
And I hope your sister's surgery goes well, Sharon.
Good Night Sharon Sleep Well ((hugs))
Mema Jo, I see. What Dr. Sharpe said sounds right on the money with this situation.
I will definitely be checking in tomorrow from the hospital. Did you all know I love my iPhone? :)
Good night and sweet eagle dreams, my friends of fine feathers and fur. ♥ and (((((HUGS)))))
TEAM LIBERTY!!!
@Christine - Once you give an overview
of what is going on at this nest you will probably be asked questions and get answers at the same time.
If you have access to a printer you could go to the Momsters site and take
that Home page with info of years past.
Sharon - I want you to get a
Blue Tooth so you can drive & talk
safely Night
I see nothing has changed? I was too tired to make a nest visit after supper, and it looked like rain.
Here are both of today's visits in one video
Intruder visits March 24 2011
Nite Sharon and Bev...wherever you are:)♥
Does anyone know if I can have Explorer and Mozilla Firefox open at the same time? Or will they fight to the death and destroy my computer?
@In my dreams I want our intruder just to be Liberty in disguise with a scar from his fight to keep Belle! :<(
I really am going to miss him.....
Please come back Liberty ♥

Mema Jo, I do have a bluetooth and talked to Helen for a long time on my way to Bluefield today. I miss her!
Pam, you can have both open and they will not kill each other. I have had IE, Firefox and Google Chrome all open at the same time.
I think I had too much fresh air today
I am going to sign off for now...
Before I do I want to thank PammySue and Robyn for letting me be with them.

Pam I keep Firefox and IE both open and up at the same time. No trouble at all!! Actually, LESS trouble than having too many windows open on IE!
They buried Liz Taylor quicker than we bury Crisco's and we try to get em in the ground pretty quick. I am so glad the Westboro scum didn't get there!
Yes, Robyn, that Helen. I miss her!

TEAM LIBERTY 4 EVER.
Hello Jenny!
Sharon...I can not see where I posted? Can you? Don't know if I am doing this right...
Well, I can this last post but the other one came through in my email.
Going to close up shop here too....workday Friday
make that
RED FRIDAY
Paula I hope you got your supper instead of or at least before ice cream at midnight
Prayers for Sissy in the morning
and for ALL our needs, and
prayers of thanks for many gifts given, and friendship
Team Belle & Liberty !
God Bless This Nest, and
God Bless Us, Every One
xox ♥
Just thought of something for Christine to ask tomorrow. Doesn't Belle have the final say on who she will allow to have HP with her? In other words, The intruder would still have to convince her??? and that wouldn't happen now until late fall or early next year, right?
Don't know how I did that .... Wonder if my mom got it in a e_mail too..
Well, I sign up to get the comments to come to my email. Not sure if she does Jenny.
Blessings to all, night night
So, Jack and I were sitting outside having our glasses of wine and I was catching him up on the afternoon's activities at the nest.
His input...so if Belle takes up with Truder, and they have a clutch those eaglets would be little b_______s. LOL
Goodnight all, maybe I will be better at this tomorrow......May have to go get some help from mom on this posting.
Happy Eagle Dreams
Hi,Gang,
Well, I went and turned in a bunch of transcription at school this evening.
caught your post, Iris... yes, prayers for your cousin Joyce...may her days be peaceful and blessed with comfort and love
JudyE - have fun Friday with your granddaughter, and
Once Again
Thanks Everyone
Paula thanks for the video, I am going to try to get it to run
Oh, Iris! Just saw your post about your cousin Joyce--prayers for her, and for you and your whole family!
Glad you are finally feeling better.
Well, goodnight, everyone!
Loved your comment earlier about Truder having ugly toes! Love it! He does have distinctive talons that we can identify.
I am up to almost 6 hours now and think I will let the cam continue to run all night.
jenny, I cannot see your first post, but I do see your others. So you seem to be doing it right. Maybe the blog ate your first comment.
Prayers for Bev, our Sissy. Love you and know you will do just great tomorrow.
Prayers for your cousin, Iris. Know this is going to be a hard weekend.
Car lights on the nest.
It is a really dark night tonight, brought my garbage to end of drive and it was darker then usual, couldn't even see to where I bring it
Paula, I also thank you for the video. I shared it.
Iris, I am so sorry about your cousin. I hope she passes peacefully. :(
Is anyone looking to see intruder's markings so we know if and when they leave and come back we know next season if he won or Lib did?
Prayers for Bev's/Sissy's surgery tomorrow.
Prayers for Iris due to cousin might only live the weekend. Also prayers for health for Irs.
Prayers for all those that need them.
Iris, so sorry to hear about your cousin.
Robyn, yes we are putting some pics in the albums, I will have more to add later.
Heading to bed, catch ya'll in the morning.
Hugs to all ♥
I need to be heading to bed too.
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
SLEEP WELL
PRAYERS AND BLESSINGS FOR ALL
Robyn, we were studying his talons today. His middle "toe" is very long. Since he is young yet his feathers could change. So, we were really looking at his talons. All we could do.
Heading to bed. Nite all! Special prayers for Momster Beverly aka Sissy during her surgery tomorrow morning.
Sweet dreams!
Gimme an L!
Gimme an I!
Gimme a B!
Gimme an E!
Gimme an R!
Gimme a T!
Gimme a Y!
TEAM LIBERTY!!
That wore me out. Good night all. Sweet dreams.
Eagle in the nest, very hard to see...heard calling
Can barely see but there is an eagle in the nest. Chirping.
Hi Lolly, I was cleaning the kitchen....there are 2 eagle sin the nest
Hi Paula! Had closed the blog but left the cam up. Heard the chirping. Can you see anything? It might be Turdy!
Two. I only see one. No I see the two heads!
This is really strange behavior!!!! What more!!!!
Well, I WAS going to bed. lol
They are still there one in the bowl, one on the back, looks like Truder in the bowl and Belle on the back
Those black feathers stick out like a sore thumb
It is extremly hard to see, but I do believe it is Turdy and Belle. Think I see the spot on his head.
Yep, Turdy likes that bowl.
Def strange behaviour...I'm going to bed, I can't stay up another night...
Hugs ♥
They certainly have their heads close together.
I don't hear anything. Is there still chirping?
Nite Paula!
No chirping. There was when they first landed in the nest.
Are they beak to beak? It's hard to tell.
Good night, Paula.
Look at their heads right together. Beaking?
Where is the moon when we need it?
Looks like they are kissing. LOL Beak to Beak!
It is SO dark. I can't tell what they are doing.
Now one has back to the cam, the other is messing with the egg cup, or so I am guessing!!!
Well this is not good at all. :(
I am going to go shower. Will be back to see if they are still in the nest. Looks like one is now doing nestorations.
No, it is NOT good. Poor Lib! Whee is he?
I can see the two heads also. Fairly close together at times. Hmm...ok new scenario...Belle has kicked Lib to the curb and is now carrying on with a "younger man." Does that make Belle a cougar? (I had to say that lol)
Hi everyone that is still awake!
Did Turdy move to the back of the nest?
The image is terrible. It's just too dark.
Hi Trish! Yes, it looks like our Belle is a Cougar. LOL They have been in the nest with heads together either kissing or plotting. Hmmmm???
Going to really go shower. Will be back to see if they are still here.
Yup one near the back
I am still watching, you know I couldn't really leave...why the middle of the night rendezvouse?
Think they both left...heard a clunk, then a shakeout.
Whoops! I think they just left. Can hear them in the tree.
Hello Trish.
Gnite, I'm leaving before they come back!
Well, I will just say right now...I am MAD at Belle. I do not approve of her behavior!
TEAM LIBERTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nite!
If they left, they didn't go far. I can hear little chirpy sounds. And yes, too dark! :(
Me too, Paula. Good night again.
Good night Trish and Lolly and whoever else might be lurking.
Ninite to you that are leaving. Still somewhat early here so I'll be up a while.
Just was of to bed when I saw an eagle in nest at 12 and then mid-nest
I guess you all saw 2.
then I could not see so I believe it took off.
Heard trills off nest
This is strange. I do not ever seem to remember eagles coming in this late when not incubating.
I am off/
Nothing in nest now that I can see.
Hard to believe I missed a middle of the night eagle visit! Dang!
Christine - Great list of questions. I wonder too. Can't get it out of my head!
well all I can say is... Hooray for cougars!!!
Nest is soooo dark!
Nothing to be seen or heard.
It's Friday!!! Margy I'll wear my RED jeans. To think I almost tossed them.
Getting ready to hit the road soon.
Our new super sized threads are sooo much longer since Intruder barged in last week.
ONLY LAST WEEK? Feels like much longer.
Hey Robyn! Cougars?
Cougars? Fast animal/cat? Fast older women? Us? LOL!
Cold tonight, 30 currently

Thanks Maria. I do enjoy the NBG eaglets. Being supported by a TV station they have the best camera.
OM goodness...Sharon. Thanks for the nod. That helps.
MOST importantly, give SISSY a big hug from me. I know she's nervous but there are good feelings for her today. Many prayers.
Nothing new in the nest.
It's a little lighter now, but no eagle to be seen.
Team Liberty awaits your arrival Belle and Lib!
Still an empty nest- 34° here-
today's nest weather-Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 40s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
Sissy is still sleeping. Hopefully she will be able to until time to hop out of bed and leave.
Sharon please tell Sissy that my brother had the same surgery this week, and my mother has also had it - very successfully.
ALSO, heard a doctor on a talk show yesterday say those that had the surgery were by far his happiest patients!
Sharon, I'm too new here to know what kind of surgery your sister is facing today, but my prayers are with you both !
You are so right KayIM.
Sissy is having a Nissen fundoplication.
Thanks, Sharon ! That sent me straight to Google for definition ! I didn't know that name for it, but a dear old friend who lives across the country from me had that surgery a year ago. It has made all the difference in the world to her. May God grant the same healing outcome for your Sissy !
Good Friday Morning
Everyone
Megan thanks for the weather report and I hope all your plants are warm and cozy
Sissy: Got you in my mind, heart, and prayers...you will do fine...just fine
Prayers for all your doctors and nurses and family too ♥
Wowser, I have live feed !
Welcome to Jenny L Moon...hope to hear more about you
xox
Moon is about half...waning...Venus doing its beautiful morning thing in the East
looks like it will be a nice sunrise
Magpie, Jenny is Mema Jo's daughter, I bet you already know about her! :-)
Margy - my sista! There you are.
Good Morning!
Yes Megan, echo thanks for the forecast.
Morning all:)
Thanks, but I'd like the forecast better if it said highs in the 60's. This cold snap sucks
Me too Floralgirl. They just said snow may stick on Sunday. Geez...
Amen to that, Kay IM, and Good Morning!
BBIALW...
OK, got my live cam view restored, but don't seem to have sound. Anyone else having the same problem?
Hi, Megan,
Thanks for the weather report! Sounds like you guys are in for an interesting weekend. They have been predicting more rain for SoCal, but said there may be a revised weather report for us now. Keep you posted.
I'll be back soon--need coffee badly. Have a good morning, and don't forget to wear red for our troops! :o]
Well wishes to Sissy!
Morning, all!
Prayers for Sissy!! I know she'll do just fine.
Jenny,
I should have caught on to you! Glad you're here!
I'm up early and there's and MT nest!
Andy, sometimes the sound comes and goes.
Andy, the medical term for that is
LiBelleAddictItis. Many are suffering from this.
Well how about that, Jenny!
That is way cool, hope to see more posts today !!
Also hope to see Lynn's Jewels make a return visit to the blog today, and
have been missing Rocking Circle R !
come back everyone
time for me to get to work
Lori, yay on those Red Jeans! I got to find me some
Best wishes for a good day.
Shucks I have live feed going seems like I should be able to stay home for that !
Morning Lynne, SignGirl, DanaMo, and Andy 'n Emma!
Brr, I don't know why I said it's 34° here- it's really 24°! frosty out there.
Yup, Lynne, Eagleholics we are.
JENNY....your first posts ended up on the SUNDAY thread it looks like.
I get them sent to my email and I see them from Sunday!
Ms Bookworm, thank you for the greeting !
Have a good day all !
Hi, Paula, Margy, Lori!
Welcome, also, to signgirl, DanaMO, KayIM, et al.!
Dragging off to the kitchen in search of caffeine! BBL....
Lynne, I like your medical term for my little problem! A new word for our blog dictionary!
Margy, hope you have a relatively uneventful day at work!
OK, I'm desperate for coffee! BBIALW!
Unbelievable.
Property dispute
I need to get moving and get ready for work.
Will check back if I have time but if not, please a a good day everyone!
Sharon, my thoughts and prayers are with your sister today.
Kay IM
That's great! Yes, we do our best to keep that RED tradition going here
hear some interesting bird sounds including geese at the office, I feel like a kid with a new toy with this live feed going
Lots of Morning Birds on HERE
Time to gather it all up and head out
Might "see" you from work
xoxoxox
Watch for the Split - coming soon
"at the office???"
I mean, I hear those sounds at the Nest !!!
Apparently the Truder was in and out very quick around 6:30am
Just had to come back and say....I just opened the front window up to fill the bird feeder and the smell of the hyacinths growing out there is WONDERFUL!! The half of a moon is in the beautiful clear sky above the apple tree, and below the tree my little pair of bluebirds are flitting around and on the bluebird house. It's cold, but it's still SPRING!!
Good morning early birds. Question o the day... Who will show up first this morning??
TEAM LIBERTY ! ! !
Ok here's 800 so slip to the next page.
