I am just truly amazed at how much information is out there and how many cams.
I watched the video of that clandestine meeting in the nest and if Lib is around, and saw what I saw, he should be flocking the feathers off of Truder. It did look as though T was trying to do the Hanky Panky with Belle, but was not successful. It is hard to believe that Lib is around the area and letting all this horse-play go on. Tsk,tsk!
I just watched both videos. In the first one, Truder flies off with the fish. Anyone who saw it live know where it came from?
In the second video, Truder is at the nest, and it looks like there is no fish there. Looks like Belle brings in a fish, lands next to Truder, drops the fish in front of him, quickly grabs it, walks away and eats it.
Since Truder took the fish in the first video, I wonder if this is Belle's way of taunting Truder. Drops it in front of him, takes it immediately as if to say, "I can take a fish away from you, too. So there!"
In my opinion, Jerk came in with the fish and had it been Lib, he would have left the fish for Belle. However, since it was Jerk, he didn't let go of the fish and she tried to get it from him. He took off, came around, landed again. She tried to get it again and he left. That is how he rolls. :)

Beakspeak's symbol is for "activity or nesting." I looked again. That is more accurate. There is activity.

If you watch the first video again, look at the feet, not the flapping wings, there is a fish there. No HP...that normally takes place after the fish is eaten ☺
In the second video, Truder is already in the nest, you can see his head marks. Belle approaches at 11:00 with what looks like a fish in her beak. See this screen shot:

Then she goes to the right of him, drops it, grabs it again, then goes off to the right by herself to eat it. Then Truder leaves her alone in the nest.
So in the first video, Truder has the fish at the end, and in the second one, Belle has it in the end. I wonder if the fish Belle arrives with in the second video is the one Truder left with in the first one.
OK folks, get ready for nest activity. We're gonna have dinner then go see "The Kings Speech".

OK I was at nest nothing to be seen so not sure if anyone was in nest. A couple showed up wouldn't answer which site they stayed on and eventually said both. Some people are very inconsiderate which I will post in the momsters yahoo group. O ended up leaving right after them I am still kinda pissed...

Is there a place for the public to view close by and is that where you go when you go to the nest area?

Copy and paste whole url, then pick a point in it maybe after one of the slashes,like after the one with all the AAAAA's and click there, then hit return, it will bump the rest of it down to the nest line, etc.
I give up on getting the link to show right. It doesn't look that great anyway! :)
If you watch the second video repeatedly, though, you'll see someone, in my opinion Belle who just flew in, drops the fish. Then Belle picks it up real quick and eats it. Truder flies off, leaving her alone. So I don't think that Truder ends up with the fish in the end, Belle does.

Belle is in nest before Truder gets there the first time, she about knocks him over trying to the get the fish,,,there isn't video of that, but pictures....and the rest of the video shows Belle flying in and taking the fish from Truder...which goes along with what we saw....just another view to ponder.

Didn't get here last night because I fell asleep in front of the TV SO soundly that when I woke up suddenly at 2:30 am my time, I couldn't figure out what day it was!
Has taken me hours to get caught up here! I just about give up!
I'm going to turn on the porch light and enable the security systems just in case I do the same thing again tonight! So, it seems there's still drama going on at the nest. TEAM LIB!

Miss Emma is still doing well. She is VERY happy because we got her a new toy--a piece of rope with a knot at each end. She really likes it. It helps to keep her busy, and NOT running around in circles.
Shirley, hope you are able to get your papers graded. I have just about decided that I will have to repackage my student loan, and go for one more quarter in order to finish my externship. No way I can stop watching our live cam! I am an official victim of LiBelleAddictitis!!

DUH--brown under white??? And feathers don't don't change color after death!!!!

Leona, and all newcomers, your email addresses are not safe if posted as a message on this blog. If you want, you can give access to you email address on your blog, which comes with your registration. Just click on your name, go to your profile and you can elect to make your email address accessible to others, just not to the "web crawlers" as we call them. They are "spybots" designed to harvest email addresses wherever they can find them.

FYI.....if you are on a LAPTOP: You have to do fn key, num lock key FIRST before you try to make any of the little icons! If you have a laptop that only has the numbers across the top, that is. And you have to use the keys that have the numbers in the little squares on them

Evening all, earlier JudyE mentioned looking for the cheat sheet. My impression was she was looking for a cheat sheet of nest activities as reading the whole blog was hard due to neck situation. I often do a summary spreadsheet for myself that I could share. At the momster group page under "files" I posted a sample-"eagle observations-sample". If I got the wrong impression of what she was looking for - sorry!

Schicke, the cheat sheet is a list of all the bloggers on here. It lists everyone's real names and their "blog" name.

Adding files to the group each day can be cumbersome....I have also been updating the group calendar with information and testing out a database to record observations.

Once you have joined the yahoo group, then you receive Eaglet Momster Mail through email. That is how the cheat sheet was mailed out.
YOu know what?? You think you're a reasonably intelligent computer savy person one minute and the next you feel dumber than a rock!! LOL.
I can put my email there and click to show my email address. On the profile page it just has a link to email me, but once you click on that, you've got my address, right?

PA Lynn, when someone clicks on the word email it just opens an email that will be sent to you. They can then see the address, but would have to go extra steps to record it. Of course once they send you and email your address would then be in their files.
Click on my name, go to the word email on the left and click on it to see what I mean...

I get Momster e-mail without any problem. We also have a list of addresses and phone numbers we use to contact each other, but none of that is published on here. It is handled by Momster e-mail.

Belle and Truder visited from 6.36a-6.41a. Digging in the bowl, some beaking
1.38pm Belle lands, then Intruder lands with fish, Belle tries to get fish from him, he takes off, comes back, she rushes him again and he takes off. Belle stays a little while then leaves
1.56pm Intruder lands again with fish again, Belle comes in and gets it from him, eats it in about 4 bites, she leaves, he stays a few more mintues and leaves.
7.03-18 Intruder flies in, calling before landing. Pokes around bowl, moves some sticks.

I think she is talking about requesting to become an Eaglet Momster. It is not a big deal, but it is the way to get messages through e-mail, etc.
At 9:45 Paula shared a link. The Eaglet Momsters is just the name we go by and the Yahoo group is our Momster group.
That is what I thought.

We would normally write that:
unclecharlie@whatever.dom which is easy to harvest.
It is still best not to put an email address into a blog message, as it sure can cause you to get lots of spam if nothing else which is why we want you all to be careful that's all.
Clicking on the email link on someone's profile doesn't always work.....I think it uses Outlook, so if you don't have that (I don't!), you can't email anyone using that link!
Robyn and WVgal-I am a teacher, but I haven't told anyone else where the nest is. I am planning to go over tomorrow with another teacher from my school, but we would never be disrespectful or cause trouble. I posted a similar message to the momster site. I am new and you all don't really know me, but I appreciate you allowing me to join in your conversations and trusting me with information.

It just says email under contact on the left side. Your email address isn't posted anywhere on your profile page. You can only see it if you click on the email link when it opens to send an email.

Lynn, when you click on that it uses the computer's default email program. When I click on yours, it opened it up in Windows Live Mail. I don't use that program, but I could always copy and paste if from Windows live to my email program. Also, if you just hover your cursor over the link it will show the email address in the bottom left hand corner or your browser, on the bottom toolbar or whatever it's called.

PA Lynn - Yes I'd say you are safe. The web-crawlers don't like to have to work for their addresses and by having to click first here and then there, that is too much for them to bother with...too many easy addresses for them to gather.

Back again, but haven't even read 1/2 of this thread. Think I got the events--couple trips to nest w/fish___Belle got the 2nd one. Ate din din, had phone calls. Daughter just got back to TX from Haiti business trip!!YAY! She said safety from crime was NOT any problem, but you didn't go out after dark & drive because roads are still torn up w/potholes + & no lighting!

Park Nature update~~~~TWO adult eagles at nest today! Since we are getting more educated on their behavior, I'm thinking this male is probably the original.Doubt if a new suitor would help w/someone else's chicks. That is suppositon, not fact! tee hee
Our 3rd osprey nest (we can see near office) had TWO birds in it first time today. They are fairly new--no hatching last year & are the latest to arrive.
I'm back, had to take a break and tried to catch up.
