Hope all have pleasant dreams, enjoy that extra hour of sleep, and are healthy come morning to enjoy the day.

Good morning everyone out there.

Will said he isn't planning to wash that shirt. It was an old one.

Yes, I did remember to ask Will to get the tv to work. Told him I had been having all kinds of trouble. He picked up the remote, pushed the buttons, and said, "What's the problem?" It came right on for him. I don't know if there is a loose cable or what. It will surely work until he is gone again.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDREA!!!!
Do take some time to enjoy your day.

Lynn, I only have one computer so I don't know how it happened. I doubt it was luck, cuz without bad luck, I wouldn't have any. ;o)

Just got an email from daughter in VA. Her husband an Army percussion instructor, was just asked to play backup for Natalie Cole when she's in concert in the area. What an honor for him.

MORNIN' SHIRLEY!--Did you have any candy left over?---

stronghunter said...

I feel like I am the one being watched.

normabyrd said...

Thanks for the correction SHIRLEY!-----I had a hard time remembering what I read on the blog---TIS' a LONG one! ho!---I got to see NAT KING COLE many moons ago!---(now he was one cool cat)---But he was not allowed to sleep in the local HOTELS!--LIFE HAS CHANGED!----THANK GOD!!

stronghunter said...

Quite a bit of candy left over, actually. I was a little stingy because I have run out in previous years.

I did have a lot of kids. It was warm and rainy, and a lot of people had umbrellas.

How about you, Norma?

Guess I will take some to school to share with students, but not tomorrow. They will have candy of their own. I had been giving candy to my advisory group, and made the mistake of leaving the bag on my desk once. It disappeared.

I am planning to take doughnuts to my homeroom one day this week. They didn't win the spirit link competition; they hardly had a chance with only 8 students, but they were in the running up to the end.

stronghunter said...

Going to take a break.

Good report on Mason. Two weeks in a row on an update!

stronghunter said...

Hello to everyone!

Lynn, I love your new avatar.
Hedgehog. Cute!

hedgie said...

Thanks, Jo!!!!!

stronghunter said...

Thanks, Jo, for your 10:26 compliment. I like the little owl, too. Of course, he's from open house.

hedgie said...

NORMA----are you still here? Did you hear/read about the two guys from here who were seriously injured in a wreck up your way when they ran into a stone wall in the fog??? They were both former co-workers.

hedgie said...

Thanks to you, too, Shirley! Don.t remember where I found pic, but thought it was a good one!
The lady who had me take her pic with the screech owl finally called and I sent it to her last week.

stronghunter said...

The little owl was not really easy to photograph. It moved its head so quickly that it took several shots to get a good one.

stronghunter said...

The hedgehog is just perfect for your avatar. A nice play on words.

hedgie said...

Bet Mits is having a great time at the game! Ravens beating Broncos!!

normabyrd said...

HEDGIE!----I cleaned out a ton of papers, etc --I had under my desk---most all EAGLE materials---I haven't had lunch yet!---SO--I haven't finished the paper this am!------WHOA!--MITS' team is winning like crazy!! 23-7---

normabyrd said...

need food---will check newspaper!

hedgie said...

VERY wierd sight here----single strand webs are strung everywhere---tree to tree, limb to limb, branch to branch, post to post, rail to rail, across tops of leaf piles------it is SO strange....and spooky! Afraid to walk out!

stronghunter said...

Norma, I am a little worried. You are not eating paper are you? Sounds like you are devouring the news in one way or another. Do we need to come to WV and check on your?

stronghunter said...

Take your stick, Lynn!

hedgie said...

Not sure when accident happened, Norma. Apparently past week some time. They were towing either a camper or a boat...everything totaled. Cop said if it hadn't been for seatbelts and airbags, they would not have survived! Apparently it was at a T-intersection and they didn't see stop sign in the fog.

stronghunter said...

Must go to library to pick up reading material for my commute. Need more books on CD. A CD is missing from the book I am reading now, so I am going to need something soon while I wait for the missing CD to show up--either from Kathryn's friend who borrowed the book from her or the one I've reserved at the library.

I go through book-listening withdrawal if I don't have a supply on hand.

stronghunter said...

Lynn, these people in the accident were friends of yours?

stronghunter said...

I think you said co-workers.

stronghunter said...

About to hit 700.

hedgie said...

LOL, Shirl---when I get ready to take trash out, hope I can't see them!!! Will wait 'til sun goes down!
Funny, too, about Norma eating paper!

hedgie said...

Yes, Shirley, former co-workers...

stronghunter said...

But you do not want to walk through one of those things, Lynn.

stronghunter said...

Headed out to library. They close at 5:00 0n Sunday. Hope I can find something good. Need to resserve some more good ones. The branch has a limited selection.

Lynn, I once had a student who asked my about my first name. She said, "Shirley is a man's name. Yes, I think she was trying to insult me. There was a male teacher named Shirley at the school. It was one of those comments I overlooked.

Was trying to remember when you retired, Lynn. I think it was a bit before I came on the blog, but am not sure.

Will be back soon. Gotta get to library.

Whew! Over 718 posts; I'll never catch up after being away this afternoon.

Sister, Judy, and I went to the Olive Garden for a late lunch and to commiserate. It was great to see her. Then we came back to my house and she trimmed my hair. Now I need a shower to get rid of this itchy hair on me but have to
make something for Jim when he's done work. Guess I'll scratch my way through supper.

Is there a way to stay signed in here? If I go to another site and come back I must sign in again. It's beginning to be a pain in the a#$!

Missed the Eagles and Giant game but if it was anything like the first quarter, I'm glad. I would have been shouting at the tv.

Oops! Hi everyone; hope you all had a great day.

Hi, Everyone!

Just want to say a big THANK YOU for all the wonderful Birthday wishes and cards from all of you!
Sure has made my day! Have really been enjoying myself--got an extra hour's sleep, Hubby took me out to breakfast, and have done NO homework or studying today! Decided to just relax and have fun.
Really glad I did! Thanks again for making my day--you are all VERY special people! Love you all!

Hi all! Had a great time at Laurel's yesterday. The boys had a great time trick or treating. Joey, Jack, and Bosco their dog went with them. They came home when Jacob got tired with their pumpkins full. They then dumped it on the floor and dug in. lol

I got some cute pictures and will post them later.

Another soccer game today. Coach was there and he told the three fathers they had to sit down. They can not stand on the side lines and yell. So, apparently someone has talked to him. Now to see if the boys show up for practice.

hedgie said...

Andy, glad you're having a fun day and being pampered by hubby! Your avatar is great!!! GD and GGD??? Guess that makes them cousins, right?

Lolly said...

Happy Birthday, Andy! Hope you have had a great day!

NORMA....how about those cowboys?!!!!

After the game today we went to the store to get some groceries. On game day you get a 10% discount if you are wearing a Cowboy jersey. Jack wore it this time. We keep it in the van, in case we forget.

hedgie said...

Diann, sure glad you had a chance to get out. Know that yucky itchy feeling!
When you open the blog site, do it with a right click and choose "open in new tab" or "new window", and then you can keep it open!

Now we get to se4e baseball, I hope.
Went to store this afternoojn & at CVS, there was ONE bag of Reeses small Peanut Butter Cups still on sale!!! Mine now!!!----let trick or treat begin!
