I am at work, mandatory training that is supposed to last an hour. Only lasted 20 minutes, so here I sit. Goofy system they have here.
I bought a calendar at the Fiesta. On the calendar there is an eagle balloon. I think they were just not there this year.
Did you notice that in the kaleidoscope picture I have on my "Train where the Eagles Fly" sweat shirt.
I was over on the old thread chatting away. Brought my comment over.
At the Fiesta they have a main street that is like a fair with lots of booths. They are selling everything. The bag I was holding came from the Farmers Insurance tent where we picked up lots of freebies. And why did we get so many freebies.....I told someone Jacob's daddy is a Farmers Agent. Boy, they loaded us up!!!!lol
The kaleidoscope pictures are fun!
I'll look better at the rest when I get home. My sister has seen the Eagle balloon in San Diego at a football game.

Good morning! Rained all night and towards morning it stopped. Total of 3 1/2 inches yesterday. Water is still flowing. Temp is dropping. Was in the low 60's when I got up, but now 57. Sun is not out yet, but we need it to dry up!

Our three chicks are growing up fast and beginning to move around the nest box.
Next Thursday is banding day. Between 9 - 10AM Australian EDST researchers from the Victorian Peregrine Project will travel up to the nest box to retrieve the chicks for their health assessment and banding.
Each year we have a tradition to name the new falcon chicks. Now that our birds have gone global, we're asking those watching over the world wide web for nominations. If you would like to nominate a name, please email us with your nomination, whether it is suitable for a male or female and what the name means to you.

yes, the weekend and rain were awful for them, the girls want to be ,all the time, and so does Annie, but she gets a break when they are in school, her sisters and their kids will be descending on them this weekend, so don't know when we will get to see them again
Wow, that has to be a first....movie at 1 week of age! LOL...hope it was a good "boy" movie and not a chick flick! Guess if Ben can sleep through theater volume, he can sleep thru' controlled chaos at home!

Gotta tell ya' Mits that MM was so absolutely thrilled that she was able to hold Ben for 90 minutes w/o anyone grabbing him that her smile was ear-to-ear when she told about it!! Those kids have 2 very special aunts, and an uncle, too---Jim loved showing off pics, and of course Ceil told us about her special time with him, too----think she really wants to be a Grandma!!!
We used to go to Shakespeare in the Park. Sit on blankets outside and watch the play. One time there was a couple there sitting on a blanket with a baby. I asked them how old was the baby....one week!!!! Here they were outside, on a blanket, with a crowd of people. Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!
I forget the name of movie, something about couples,,, it was filmed in Bora Bora, and they went their on their honeymoon, we said we would send them back on their 5th anniversary, but, they are a tad busy

Oh, do go, Mits! It is so much fun. We have been three times now and we enjoy it every time. We took Joseph, and now Jacob. Hopefully we can take Zach, but not sure about that. Will have to wait and see.

Back from the child molester video in crime class and next class will show a video on memory -- specifically failed eyewitness testimony that put a man in prison for 11 years. Today's campus newspaper has a story about a first year student (age 28) who spent 10 years in prison for a murder he didn't do because of misidentification.

Despite the breeze, it sure has been a beautiful day! The best part about fall is the days that don't require a jacket!!
I am home, it is starting to sleet outside. Good news is I got my Driver's license renewed and am good to go for another 5 years.
I've been back and sneaked in a panda nap. Eye test, I think, means that someone or something could sneak up beside me without my knowing it! So like our eagles I must turn my head to see what's coming at me!
I had remembered Loretta telling us that Frank's special day is today Well, Tom got a homemade pound cake - I wonder what Tom got? Yummy!

We are now waiting for the Chinese to approve our list. As soon as they do, the short list will be posted for you to vote on. We will have the translation of the names and hope to have an audio clip so you can hear how the names sound when spoken. Things will happen rather quickly now, as we will be naming our little bear in November.

I'll never ever make it to facebook. Heck, I haven't hooked up my cable converter box, and have a great printer/fax/copier/scanner for over a year that is not hooked up.
I'm afraid everyone will disappear off the blog sometimes and over to Facebook :(
