Just got email from our Park Rangers that they were on the way to Chelsea office, so I called and or fearless boss lady, Jan, said they were already there. Deer WAS near pond and swam across to other side but couldn't get out. Rangers are keeping an eye on it and Park Police are on the way. Wish they would have come last night!
After 6 hours last night, I was finally able to download a couple pics of the beauty and I sent them to Chief Ranger. Maybe that persuaded him to send someone today, as he had said earlier,that there wasn't anything they could do!
So sad, but better than suffering~~

Clearly the eagles have visited the nest sometime since yesterday afternoon, more leaves in there...
- they are making it cozy for the breeding/nesting season ☺
It does appear that the nest is a little different today than yesterday, leaves in the nest and such. I saved a pic from yesterday and this morning!
Margy, pic in paper wasn't good enough to tell for sure, but said a long-vacant building used fro water for luvestock, so I am suspecting Raleigh Ridings' old house----emailed Wanda but haven't gotten an answer yet.
Wandas' shop opens at 10 this a.m., she will probably be busy today:)
