sounds like he is snoring:)

stronghunter said...

Must have eyes closed. No gleaming anymore.

Mema Jo said...

There is a road and a home off to the right - car lights sometimes come from that area.

This a a rare occasion at our nest!

stronghunter said...

Okay, decided to look around.

Mema Jo said...

Hidey may stay until dawn's early light!

hedgie said...

BTW...I called Suz this afternoon...just got voicemail...left her a message to call, but never heard back from her.

ceil said...

Good night all and too Hidey. Hope you stay in the nest tonight.

Mema Jo said...

Our temps have dropped down into the 60's... Really feels nice outside.

jmp said...

Thank you for letting me know about the activity even at night. Thought something might be alarming the eagles.

Maybe Hidey is going down memory lane with us -- an evening of nostalgia. I wish this happen often.

Mits said...

right behind you, Ceil...good night everyone..

deb said...

My sister called, so i missed the second adult visit. I think Hidey is in for the night.

hedgie said...

Goodnight, Mits and Ceil!
Haven't been able to get live feed up at all....still cam okay...but if Boris appears, it's bye-bye cam!
Hidey looks very comfortable!

Costume Lady said...

Well, look who's home! This is weird...hope nothing is wrong.

deb said...

I loaded the video of Belle and Hidey on Nest Pictures. I didn't get much of Belle, just her back and then flying out of the nest.

Costume Lady said...

How long has he been there?

stronghunter said...

Judie, have you looked at the Delta nest? there is traffic noise all the time there. It does not seem to bother the eagles.

It lookd like that eaglet still has not fledged, either.

Costume Lady said...

Time to go Lynn, I think I see Spidey!

deb said...

It was still light out when they got there, Wanda. The whole family was there for a quick visit.

deb said...

I checked back, it was 8:39 when the first post came in.

jmp said...

Goodnight, everyone.

I'm leaving a night light on for Hidey (and anyone else who may need it). Hope we have another visit tomorrow.

Judie

Mema Jo said...

Wanda Hidey has been there since 8:40
Adults were also in and out
Comments over on the older thread...

We thought Hidey would follow Belle when she flew out but Hidey settled for the egg well (bed) Hoping that the lesson taught was Not to fly in the dark. lol

stronghunter said...

8:39 is the time you all first reported a landing--the whole family. When I got back from the store, there was just Belle and Hidey.

stronghunter said...

Good night, Judie.

stronghunter said...

Delta eaglet is sitting in the nest calling from time to time. Has anyone seen that one leave the nest at all?

Costume Lady said...

It's great to see him in the nest. He's having a sleep-over, but nobody has shown up;(

deb said...

Night everyone. See you in the morning!

Costume Lady said...

Nite, Helen, Ceil, Judie, Deb...

Mema Jo said...

I don't think the Delt eagle has made his first flight yet, Shirley. He has always been there when I check out the nest. I'll try to find an update.
I think Hornby at least is out on the branch and the Sidney eaglets are never there to see.
Duke nest have all made their first flights but do return still to eat like our Hidey had been doing.

stronghunter said...

Night, Helen, Deb, Ceil.

stronghunter said...

Yes, the other Hancock eaglets seem to have left. The delta one, as you said, seems to be there every time I look. That nest looks a bit cramped, too.

Costume Lady said...

Lynn, I love your photos of Margy and James getting off the train. Glad you remembered to bring your camera:) I have I missed comments from Margy or hasn't she been on yet? She may be having Massacheusetts withdrawl.

stronghunter said...

Goodnight Wanda, Lynn and anybody else out there.

See you tomorrow. I am calling it a day.

Costume Lady said...

Good Night, Shirley. Sweet Dreams.

hedgie said...

G'night Deb, Judie and Shirley.
Wanda, Margy hasn't been on yet. She's trying to get caught up on a lot of stuff...she's going to try to be here tomorrow!
I wouldn't have forgotten camera for that occasion for the world!!

Mema Jo said...

Wanda - we know for sure she is HOME in WV.
Margy hasn't been on yet - We'll give her until tomorrow and then call 911 if she doesn't appear.

I wish she would come on and see that Hidey is waiting for her! I sent her an email.

Mema Jo said...

Lynn - You realize we didn't take 1 pic the other day at NCTC We were talking too much! lol

Mema Jo said...

We missed your not being there, Wanda!

Mema Jo said...

Hidey is awake and up!

Costume Lady said...

We went to our deceased neighbor's auction today and it was probably the biggest auction that I have ever seen! Cars were parked everywhere, including both sides of Shepherdstown Road. I thought that was illegal, but, I guess not...police were present off and on but didn't make anyone move. With the exception of the lady who lives up the road from us...she called the police and had the cars that were parked on her property towed away. What a grouch! Have photos posted on JUST FOR FUN.
On my way home from the auction, I found a few Milkweed plants and plucked a few leaves and brought them home. After examining them, I found one little bitty caterpillar. A monarch in the making!

Mema Jo said...

Great! Just needed a poop shoot!

stronghunter said...

Hidey is moving around. Might be about to take off . . .

Got to looking at e-mail, so I am still here.

Mema Jo said...

Hidey at noon on the nest

stronghunter said...

So that was what Hidey went to the edge of the nest for.

Mema Jo said...

That is great that you found the itsy bitsy Monarch! Keep us posted on the progress.

stronghunter said...

Such fun to watch a monarch caterpillar make its chrysalis and then develop into a butterfly.

Mema Jo said...

Grouchy neighbor should have posted "No Parking" signs in order to tow!

What did you buy?

Costume Lady said...

Hidey has been potty trained for a long time. He hasn't even messed up the tree (much).

Costume Lady said...

I didn't buy anything, Jo. Gene stayed all day and brought me home a little antique beaded change purse with a silver chain. I wanted some kitchen cabinets, but they were sold by the time I got there. (I left and then went back)

stronghunter said...

Really have to say goodnight now. Keep a watch on Hidey for me.

Mema Jo said...

Little Delta eaglet white washed his nest tree! lol

Wanda They have posted signs all around the fields and barn at the nest tree that it is restricted - not to enter. Used to be after July 4th it was ok to go up to the barn... We went up to the barn anyhow.

Costume Lady said...

Gene said he didn't think they towed the cars...the police just told them to move them. Probably because there were no signs posted. It was an empty field with no lawn or anything.

Mema Jo said...

Shirley - good night and I am not far behind you. I 'may' try to go over to market tomorrow - won't know until morning.

Costume Lady said...

We can't go up to the barn now that the nesting period is over, but hunters are allowed to hunt during egg-laying???? OK, I'll settle for our old parking space:)

Costume Lady said...

Think I'll call it a night, too.

GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL

magpie said...

My goodness I am opening up the cam to see an Eagle at the Sycamore Palace....what a nice treat!

Hello Eagle People Friends, and Good Night to those I have missed already - hope to catch up Sunday with "Our Gang."

xo ☺

magpie said...

And all I have read of the posts is the latest part of the split, so I see our Pals were at the Palace for much of the evening and now a sleepover as Wanda mentioned.
When I first opened up the Still Cam, I thought it was the tail end of a large fish I was seeing! ☺

Yes, I am having Massachusetts Withdrawal, but I guess I will recover...

xo

magpie said...

Thanks Mema Jo for the Hidey alert email...I was out but read it as soon as I came in. Great Stuff, a Midsummer Night's Dream

Mema Jo said...

Hidey is right there at 12:30 position
Hidey has been waiting for you...
I hope Hidey turns around and gives you the gleaming eye!

Mema Jo said...

Margy Turn your speakers on and go to Deb's Nest Pics video of this evening.

hedgie said...

Wanda, were the old trucks part of the sale??? Looks like a classic cruise-in!
Were those crooked things lawn flamingos?? Cabinets looked pretty decent....too bad you missed them.
Margy, dear girl, glad you had a chance to see Hidey!! Bet (s)he decided to stick around jsut for you!
I'm turning in, too. Prayers for all. Sweet dreams. Thanks for earlier b-d wishes for my baby....she was born at 2:38AM, so it's almost time!

magpie said...

Yes, Ma'am Jo - Great noisy video all right! Sometimes I have to wonder if my neighbors think I am a little weird when or if they hear these birdy sounds at all hours of the day and night !

xoxo

We are home. Have unloaded a lot and started the tons of laundry. Will work hard tomorrow finishing the unloading and scrubbing the trailer.

Mema Jo said...

Lolly I bet you still have sand in your toes! Bet your grandsons are having the bestest summer ever!

magpie said...

Welcome Home Lolly
Hope you don't work too hard...don't want to lose the glow of the week's fun and adventures...

Lolly said...

I am not sure about the sand between the toes, but it sure is turning up all over the place.

Thanks for the welcome home. I think we are all ready to stay home for a while!

The boys really had fun, but then so did the adults. Will try to get the pictures posted soon.

Not sure what the week holds. Ashley and Michael move this week to their new home. They have done the walk through with the builder and the closing is this week.

Mema Jo said...

Where is the New Home located, Lolly?

Mema Jo said...

Hidey is still sitting at 1:00 position
I think there won't be a fly out in the dark!

Lolly said...

The new home is in Dallas. They did live in Addison, but the new house is actually in Dallas within the loop. They are not the outdoor, dig in the dirt kind of person I am!

Lolly said...

Jo, sending you an email.

Mema Jo said...

I said Good Night to Hidey.

Waiting for your email, Lolly.
Then I'll hit the sack.

magpie said...

Going to beddy-bye soon...
Good Night to all Remaining Night Owls

stronghunter said...

Could not sleep. Got up and turned on computer. Hidey's sitting there at about 1:00.

stronghunter said...

Hidey still there. Moving around some, but still at about 1:00 looking outward.

magpie said...
