I really wish I had photographed him taking the bird pictue. He was all hunkered down creeping around. Didn't get too close, but photographing birds is not easy!
Good to see you more often PA Nana---Diann! Cute grandkid!!! Deb, have fun this evening! Shirley, Hunter is on his way to becoming a pro!!!! Actually have had a few rays of sunshine in the last hour.....but things were apparently quite rough down around the city.
I suppose a better camera is in order if he keeps at it. I would rather not turn him loose with mine. I am still learning to use it myself, and it did cost a bit more than his.
I've finished vacuuming except for sofa....waiting for Her Royal Highness Cinnamon to vacate her cushion, and still need to scrub toilet, but want to make sure that my clog is really gone---think my plunger has rubber rot! It's always something, isn't it? Think I'll fix some dinner before I do anything else!
Thanks--I wasn't sure who Diann was. Now I see PA NANA.
I had a really good book with all of the info about everybody and I can't find it. It had all of my notes on doing tiny urls and everyting. I feel lost without it. It has to be around here somewhere.
Thanks to all. Our little Max is 18 months old and truly a treasure. If you check on my "facebook" you can see more of him. I'll need to teach him the difference between a plant and a weed. If he's like his Pop pop that'll be a battle; I've lost a lot of flowers. ;o)
Diann, we have all experienced that...with kids AND hubbies! Shirley, wish you could fly right up the road! Don't worry....you'll find your cheat-book! Like I always told my girls whenever they couldn't find something: it didn't just get up and walk away!!!
Is that Hidey we are hearing ? I don't know my bird sounds real well and Hidey doesn't really sound like an eagle most of the time! It could be a Baltimore Oriole for all I know! Duh!
Yes, Jo, I did gaze into the frig for inspiration and there it was. Leftover 'pasghetti sauce used to make two small pizzas. Easy kitchen night. Also, thanks for explaining the Thrasher fries -- couldn't imagine what that type of plant would look like.
I hear Hidey quite close and also hear a bird I don't recall hearing ever before. Anyone else hear it? Know what it is?
Tail is going to tear out the shrub...the way the light is hitting it, looks like pin oak leaves! We know one thing for sure---there's plenty of fertilizer there to help it grow!
All of those strange calls I heard was one of the adults. It was still calling when it landed in the nest. I do not think I had heard them do that before.
Just as I was concentrating the hardest on Hidey, a bird flew into my window. I was so startled, I screamed, and Will came running in to see what had happened. We looked outside, but I think the bird flew away. It was a hard hit. Hope it is okay.
What a fantastic treat. Maybe Hidey knew we were sad about the Delta accident and wanted to make us feel better. I know it worked like a tonic (G&T)for me.
Shirley lol not! I bet that did make you sit up and take notice! Bet you thought something had you - you know with all the commotion earlier today out on the street!
I put about 5 new pics from this visit over in the Momster's Photos - Album is 7-01 to 8-31 (2 months since we don't get many pics anymore) Feel free to add any you have.
Hi all! We are home. It was a dreadful afternoon. To make it short, we were sworn in as witnesses and then we had to leave the court room. You can not hear anything that is said. Michael stayed in the room. ☺ We were there for hours, then Michael came out and said let's go. It is adjourned until next Wed. He could not discuss it with us but told us the whole time Gus' daddy testified. Also, until then Gus was going home with his daddy. Michael got us out quick so we did not have to witness the scene that was about to take place. I got so fed up today with different folks vying over Gus attention and feeding him candy. However, he did finally fall asleep with his head in his aunt Donna's lap. (Donna is my nephews wife.) She should have him!!!!!!! Michael also talked with the lawyer (who he says is a scum bag, ambulance chaser!) He is trying to get it so we do not have to go back. Thank God for my wonderful son!
That had to have been an ordeal, Lolly! Almost like waiting on a Dr to come out and tell you that surgery went well! At least the same type of anxiety. Thankful you didn't need to stay and see Gus. Poor little guy doesn't have a clue as to what makes some adults 'tick'. Hope he isn't too unhappy for the next week and I hope he is shown lots of love!
Gee, Andrea, you've got a special hubby!! Lolly, sounds dreadful....time for a G&T---Judie will join us! Hoope you don't have to go back, but sure will be waiting to hear how it all turns out for little Gus. Can't believe that he had to be there.
I pressed the "print screen" button. It captures everything on the screen. Then I pasted it into something my son downloaded for me and saved it. It saves as a document. I will see if I can get a link for you.
Lolly, so very sad about the circumstances for Gus and for you. I do hope you won't have to go back AND that someone has the insight to understand a child's perspective on all this. Yes, a G&T works for me.
Shirley, you are one special gal. Just thinking about trying the technology you are learning -- well, another G&T.
Andrea, everyone is wishing you quick responses to the resumes.
I have tried multiple times to record from live cam...even tho' RealPlayer comes up and says it's recording but it stops after 5 seconds and then when I try to play it, there's nothing there!
Under Files - Paula has instructions on how to add photo to album Click on Photo Go to the album 2009 7-1 to 8-31 Click to open Click on Add Photos Only think new is a question: Want to use our basic uploader? Click on that as a Yes
I have no idea how to record a moving pictue from the live cam, but if you press "print screen," you can get a still image of what is on the screen at that moment.
I just quickly went to the IrfanView icon and when the screen appeared, I pasted what I had and saved it. I gave each picture my own name. I think you would have to do that for each individual pictue--I don't suppose it saves anything when you press "print screen."
Bai certainly looks comfortable in the den!! Rather iffy news about the second or Left cub...it is what it is...and I guess MTBR. Wonder if delivery would be delayed (if it is a viable fetus) for further development...???
Thanks, Lynn. It may be a project for tomorrow. I am wearing out this evening. I looked over the instructions. May want to print them, which means going upstairs and hooking this computer to the printer. I will get there!
Shirley As I stepped through the doorway to the deck my right foot stepped on the rug which had some ice under it that I didn't realize was there. I slid forward and went DOWN hitting my lower left leg and Breaking the bone. Went to hospital for surgery. Surgeon inserted a pin from the knee into the center of the bone down to the ankle and screwed it in place. Works like new and there was NO pain - Walked out of the hospital with a walker for a few weeks and then a cane. I had rehab at home for 2 months - that helped. It was with hesitation that I walked and it was mainly in my mind. That was my March and April 2009 !!
You will not believe it......we just had 1 1/2 inches of rain!!!! Jack and I ate dinner then went outside. We noticed the sky to the south was really dark. Quickly learned it was headed our way. We sat on the patio, drinking wine and in 45 minutes we had 1 1/2 inches. I am a happy camper!!!! Wahoo!!!!!
Thank you all for your comments and prayers. Gina called while we were outside and left a message. She was thanking us for being there, as well as Michael. She told us Gus was screaming when they left with him. So glad I was NOT there. She said she lost it. She said her husband said outright lies. She will get her chance next week. Michael heard what her husband said, would not tell us, but he told us to disassociate ourselves from her. I have and will, but at the same time I will help with Gus when asked. Yes, Gus had a representative, but I do not know if she talked with him. Not impressed with her. What a MESS!
Lolly, distressing to say the least. My BFF's son FINALLY got custody of his two girls after the court FINALLY saw the mother for what she was---but it wasn't until she was FINALLY put in jail for her drug use; the child abuse, theft, forgery, et al, were basically all ignored (VA courts). But the little girls still have to talk to her on a regular basis, even tho' the youngest one hardly even remembers her. Luckily he had never married her...that woukd have probably made things even murkier to get through the system. She even had her parole officer from an earlier sentence snowed until close to the end but thank goodness she stood up and told the family court judge. Glad you got such a healthy rainfall!
Both parents have to take a drug test this next week. That should be very interesting. Michael says she is obviously on drugs, but has such horrible health problems, who knows? Tests should tell a lot!
Ashley just called. They were worried about me. I might just go take a shower and boo hoo. If I just let it all out maybe I will fill better. ☺
Man, you guys can sure blog away! It poured tonight so I just got a few pictures of the Ed. birds. (educational) It is amazing to see how much they trust Janie.
Lolly, a good cry will help, for sure. But don't cause a flood with all that rain :) So I suppose they told them of the upcoming test, huh? DUMB. They should do a hair drug screen---foolproof, going back months! No way to alter or cheat on it. Deb, you better get a warm bath! Do you have to work tomorrow?
I'm going to say goodnight...won't turn out the light, tho', since Margy and Wanda aren't home yet!! Wouldn't want them to stumble! Hope GeeGee's celebration was a blast, and hope Margy left the waterguns at home when she went to see James----we had enough precip today!! Rest well all, and if you are heavy of heart, give it to the Lord before you close your eyes. Amen.
Lynn, thanks for leaving the light on...I haven't had a chance to read all that I have missed today, but I did get to see PAULA'S video. Paula, you haven't lost your touch. It was wonderful:)
GeeGee was quite happy to have her family around her for her Birthday Party. We took the Eagle Express up to her house and Gene slid the rooms out and we had her party in there and outside under the awning. She loved it...said she felt like she was on vacation;) She finally got her Rib Eye steak...told Gene it was done to perfection and that she loved him:) She can't quite comprehend your Birthday Greetings..."Well they are nice to say this, but, how do they know me?" Well, Mom, it's a long story:)
Sandman has been knocking on my door for about an hour now. I'm going to open the door and let him in! Leaving the light on for you MARGY. Don't forget to turn it off;)
Hi, everyone, I know it's very late, but was just reading the blog to catch up, and want Lolly to know that prayers are (and have been) going up for Gus and her. Am asking the Lord Himself to be little Gus's representative in this case. He sure needs all the help he can get, and who better? I'm sure you've already thought of that, Lolly, but it never hurts when two agree in prayer. I just hate what this crazy world we live in can do to innocent children! Lynn, I agree with you about the hair drug screen test--it doesn't lie, for sure! Lolly, I hope you get a decent night's sleep; just give all of it to the Lord; He's going to be up all night, anyway! Sending hugs your way! Prayers being said for all of us--for all needs being met. Going to shut down for the night. Talk to you tomorrow.
It is very consoling that God's INBOX is never too full for another request...It is comforting to know that a Higher Power is watching over things with a careful eye.
Wow What a great Video that Paula made for us....Did you all see the shadow across the nest a second or two after Hidey left the nest? Thanks, Paula and Hidey
Beautiful new August pictures on all my calendars, including the Baltimore Oriole on the WV DNR Calendar. "Frog Season" ended on July 31 in WV - not sure what that means - but I am going to find out! Also, you will all be happy to know that rattlesnakes do their hunting mostly at night, and that insects outnumber humans 100,000,000 to one!
Sounds like a Groovy Birthday Bash for GeeGee...So cute, Wanda... GeeGee asking how "all these people" know her ☺
I, too, am on the search for an inexpensive digital camera for the grandson, he has taken a real interest in photography in the last few weeks! Loved the pictures Hunter took and you posted, Shirley
Time to turn DOWN but not OUT the lights, never know when a NIGHT OWL is going to hop on here.
Delta Bandit, now determined to be male, has been placed in a large room with an adult male also to be released. The room is large enough for practice flapping/flying and the eagles can see the outside world. Bandit did not sustain any injury from the fall.
So happy Gee Gee had a nice birthday celebhration.
Good morning, everyone. I had to take time to read everything since I left last night.
Did hear something . . . think Hidey is nearby.
Saw the comments about drug tests and using hair for tests. This past year, some of my students asked me for advice on how to pass a drug test.
Seems that one of their friends (another of my students) couldn't get out of lock-up until he passed his drug tests. I told them that I was not an expert on such things--other than not using drugs, I didn't have any other advice. They do ask the darndest things.
Since these kids were high school juniors, I doubt they wanted me to enlighten them--just wanted to present me with the info about where he was, but I am never sure.(I know they did not think I was the most likely of their teachers to know how to cheat on such a test!)
Lolly, I sincerely hope that things work out well for Gus, and for his parents.
So glad that Gee Gee had a happy birthday!
The video is wonderful, Paula.
Judie--great that you can turn on the sunshine. I will remember that.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... Judie, PLEASE turn on the sunshine here in Martinsburg/Shepherdstown, if you have any left over...it is foggy and 68° here. Saturday mornings are supposed to be SUNNY!
Have Dustin for a week or so now, so If I don't show up on here for a while, don't send out the SILVER ALERT:)
I now have a CHRYSALIS instead of a caterpillar. Gene made a 7 minute video of it metamorphasizing. I posted it on my 'JUST FOR FUN'. Each time I watch that process, it never ceases to amaze me. Mother Nature is amazing!
Shirley, it is easier to keep everyone straight, if you can put a face with a name. I have 2 photos, somewhere on my blog, of a group of us with names. When I find them, I will put them 1st on one of the blogs. I will let you know:)
Good morning all. Shirley I have problems remember who is on and what they said. So I address everyone. LOL Lolly so sorry to hear about Gus's trouble. Poor child. Paula video is great. Thanks. Margy I saw you sneek in and out yesterday. Wanda I was just about to watch it. Morning sister.
Judie I read that also. They now say that they think after looking at its feet. They think Bandit is a male. I know they took blood. See what that shows.
Well, Ceil, I'm glad I was able to bring that experience to you! I never get tired of watching them. I have one more, the one that escaped, that will probably morph today. Maybe Gene will watch this video and improve on his technique with the next one. He is wonderful to put up with me;)
I first learned about the monarch caterpillar when my oldest child came home from kindergarten and lay down on the floor, saying, "It forms itself into a 'J' like this, then sheds its skin" . . . he went on to explain (and demonstrate) the whole process. I do not know if he remembers it. He is nearly 40now.
Good Morning, Everyone! It's cool and cloudy here in SoCal this morning, and supposed to get up to about 82 today. The two baby herons are here again today; they're walking around on the roof and making their funny 'quark-quark-quark' noises, talking to each other. With their ruby red eyes they look like they've had a rough night LOL. :o]
Thanks, everyone, for the encouragement regarding the resumes. And the schooling! Have lots of studying to do this weekend, so please say some prayers that I'll be able to remember it all! 2 tests on Monday, one on Tuesday! May not be able to talk much this weekend, what with studying, and the fact that Hubby woke up grouchy. Hope to be back later, but might be a while. Prayers for all, for blessings! Have a great Saturday! :o]
Love your herons, Andrea! Would love to hear them. Good luck on your tests next week. Tell hubby to "be happy"! Hope you get some rain out of those clouds!
Good morning all! Read through the blog and now I am going to go outside and dig in the dirt. Therapy!!! We were going to mow but it is too wet. Jack is out wiring the pecan trees. He wires them to help keep the squirrels out. Does not hurt them, but jolts them enough to discourage them from climbing our trees and taking our pecans. LOL
WANDA, loved your comment about Gee Gee not understanding our birthday greetings. Yes, she does not know how you share her with us through the blog. Also, she may not understand that a lot of us do not have our mothers anymore and we love her through you!
Got a good nights sleep, but with the daylight I am starting to get all weepy again. Gotta go dig!!!!LOL
Lolly, don't dig too deep---we don't want to lose you to china! Shirley, grackles are such a nuisance...so glad I don't have them here. Think they are more an urban pest than rural. Heading out to run some errands. A one day electronics recyling site open, so ditching some old stuff. See you all later.
It's starting to feel like afternoon here too ... climbing toward 80° already.
I've got to go save the potted plants on the patio. Good thing I only have a few kinds of Geranium and a Bougainvillea. They don't take too much water.
I put some pictures of the Ed birds on Osprey, 2009. I will put captions on when I get all their names straight. I knew I should have written them down.
I just watched the oldest at Finney's nest take off (maybe after an intruder) toward the camera, watched the heads of the other two follow her flight, and then she soared into view from the sunny side to make perfect landings ... twice in a short period.
The second one should be interested in following, but she just turned back to her preening and ignored the landing and the rest.
Quiet here! Dug a little in the dirt....not to China! Then we decided it was dry enough to mow. Just finished, sure looks good. Think I will clean up and take pictures.
While working in the yard Jack found a large owl feather...Great Horned Owl feather. Sure would like to hear him and better yet see him, but in the meatime he left us a very nice feather. ☺
Ready to turn off the ceiling fan, AC, and open the windows. Love falling to sleep listening for night birds. Guess I still have a couple of months of AC sleeping. Shucks!
Hi everyone! Just checking in on this lazy Saturday afternoon. Even with the eaglet being scarce on video, I can't tear myself away from looking - and hoping. We have birds at our feeders but those Grackles are making too much noise and had to chase them away. And I thought the squirrels were pests, though very acrobatic. Well, so much for sunshine, it's getting dark out again. I guess more rain is in the offing. Will check in later.

Have fun, Deb. Too bad there wasn't any way that you could transfer them to other call centers...
I posted two of Hunter's pictures.
I really wish I had photographed him taking the bird pictue. He was all hunkered down creeping around. Didn't get too close, but photographing birds is not easy!
I did transfer some to different departments, like billing. For some reason we get a lot of their calls and just handle them, today I sent them on.
Dogs are feed and I am off, I'll check in later.
Well I'd say that Hunter has an 'eye' for great subject matter! Keep his interest up, Shirley.
Diann - That's a great pic of the "little Gardner" Cute as a button!
Put your "Pleasure/fun" hat on Deb!
Let the work day mumbo-jumbo go!
BBILW
Good to see you more often PA Nana---Diann! Cute grandkid!!!
Deb, have fun this evening!
Shirley, Hunter is on his way to becoming a pro!!!!

Trying to find Diann's grandchild's pictures.

Funnel clouds seen in OC---hope Mits is okay!!
Shirley, think it is just Diann's avatar.
How does Shrimp Scampi on angel hair pasta sound? Good to me!!
Thanks--I wasn't sure who Diann was. Now I see PA NANA.
I had a really good book with all of the info about everybody and I can't find it. It had all of my notes on doing tiny urls and everyting. I feel lost without it. It has to be around here somewhere.
Cute picture, Diann.
Shrimp Scampi sounds great, Lynn. I'll be right over!
Thanks to all. Our little Max is 18 months old and truly a treasure. If you check on my "facebook" you can see more of him. I'll need to teach him the difference between a plant and a weed. If he's like his Pop pop that'll be a battle; I've lost a lot of flowers. ;o)
Hidey squawk and clunking on camera.
Diann, we have all experienced that...with kids AND hubbies!
Shirley, wish you could fly right up the road! Don't worry....you'll find your cheat-book! Like I always told my girls whenever they couldn't find something: it didn't just get up and walk away!!!
Was that an eagle? What are we hearing?
Set a place for me too, Hedgie.
I heard there were nasty storms down that way too.
Missed the sound...just have still cam on.
gotta go feed doggies and me. BBL>
Maybe it was one of the adults. It sounded exactly like the eagle call at the bird site, not like Hidey's usual sounds.
Is that Hidey we are hearing ?
I don't know my bird sounds real well and Hidey doesn't really sound like an eagle most of the time! It could be a Baltimore Oriole for all I know! Duh!

Judie
Adult in nest. Now Hidey in nest, adult gone. Adult was making the sounds.
Hidey in the nest. Adult there but poof.
Like 'Step right up to the mic'!
But don't dare come down into the nest
WHOO HOO! I did tempt him
HI HIDEY
Really gets your heart a thumping!!!
Now, that is the usual Hidey sound.
Talking right at us.
Sitting in the greenery.
I think he has some food down there under the shade tree..
Do eagles really care for green vegetables?
Don't think they like Veggies.
Probable tornado earlier in Ijamsville, Jo!
Now who is up at the mic -- Adult I guess.
Something in Hidey's beak as he hops around the edge of the nest away from the shade tree.
Wish you could reach out and touch him without him beakin' you.
Hedgie - that is getting too close!
At least I am getting some still pics to put over in the Momsters' album for the month
Whatever it is Hidey is eating, (s)he is being awfully noisy about it!!!
I am getting a few stills, too, Jo. I do not know how to record video.
No, Hidey, don't chew your talons!!!
I swear, it looks like a twig!
Searching for nestovers???

(S)he looks good----dry, feathers lovely, FAT!
I've never done videos either.
I sent Paula email.... She is with the dogs.... I hope she come back in
time
Omgosh it's Hidey!!
Tail is going to tear out the shrub...the way the light is hitting it, looks like pin oak leaves! We know one thing for sure---there's plenty of fertilizer there to help it grow!
Looks like Hidey is munching on something....getting some video here...
Good, Paula. I don't know how to do that. Jo and I are getting some still captures.
WHoo Hoo Paula is Back!
Something still up above.
POOF !
That was a great visit....
Hope Hidey doesn't tear down the mic
And poof!!! NICE VISIT, HIDEY!
Hidey up oon the far trunk...and poof. off he went, up in the tree now.
All of those strange calls I heard was one of the adults. It was still calling when it landed in the nest. I do not think I had heard them do that before.
OK, trying to get video done before I get outta here tonight...heading down to Mom's for the weekend. BBIALW
That was certainly a great way to start the evening!!!! So glad we had that "nisit'!!!
Just as I was concentrating the hardest on Hidey, a bird flew into my window. I was so startled, I screamed, and Will came running in to see what had happened. We looked outside, but I think the bird flew away. It was a hard hit. Hope it is okay.

I bet you did jump!!!

Oh well, my sound messed up, but still have video...

Hi, everyone!
Got some resumes sent out, got EDD paperwork mailed, and Hubby has dinner ready--gotta go! BBL. :o]
Thanks for update on Mason, Jo.
I put one still pictue on my blog.
Can put others in album when I figure out how.
Thank goodness for your son, Lolly.
Sorry you had to go through such an awful experience.
Andrea, keeping my fingers crossed that something good comes from all the resumes.
Gee, Andrea, you've got a special hubby!!
Lolly, sounds dreadful....time for a G&T---Judie will join us! Hoope you don't have to go back, but sure will be waiting to hear how it all turns out for little Gus. Can't believe that he had to be there.
Oh Lolly, sounds terrible. Poor Gus.
Lolly - Gus wasn't in the court room while his dad testified - right?
I hope the court officials are talking to Gus.
Hope they are talking to him ALONE.
Shirley - I have never tried to take a pic from the live cam - How did you do that? I always do the Still Cam.
I pressed the "print screen" button. It captures everything on the screen. Then I pasted it into something my son downloaded for me and saved it. It saves as a document. I will see if I can get a link for you.
This is the website that Will went to:
Irfanview
Shirley, it's not hard to add pics to album. Just open it and then look for a link that says add photo and it walks you through!
Where is the album?
Lolly, so very sad about the circumstances for Gus and for you. I do hope you won't have to go back AND that someone has the insight to understand a child's perspective on all this. Yes, a G&T works for me.
Shirley, you are one special gal. Just thinking about trying the technology you are learning -- well, another G&T.

Judie
I should be cleaning my house, actually. That is most likely why I can't find my cheat sheet book!
But I do enjoy the technology, and it helps at work.
Duh!!! After my last post I realized that I could add pictures here. Now to figure out how ...
BBL
I have tried multiple times to record from live cam...even tho' RealPlayer comes up and says it's recording but it stops after 5 seconds and then when I try to play it, there's nothing there!
Judie, we need to get you started posting pictures, etc., after all, I don't want your house to be too much cleaner than mine.

Arrggh! On second thought, I don't know how to post pictures here. Oh well, sounds like I missed the eaglet too - AGAIN! I'll try again later.
Lucked out, everything ran quick. Added some music cause the sound messed up. Hope ya'll enjoy it. Will put link on the blog.
Heading to Mom's, have a nice weekend!
Thanks for Stopping In!
Diann, just go in to your profile and click on Create Blog....you can google Google Blogs and find instructions!
Beautiful, Paula....watched it all for real, but re-watching it with music made me cry!!! As if, heaven forbid, it was our last viewing. TY!
Fantastic video, Paula.
Music was so appropriate.
Like you said Lynn, Might be the last chance to record Hidey! :(
One of the eaglets has returned to the Sidney nest and sounds just as loud as
our Hidey. lol
Watching the Finney Nest
Breakfast time with Mom
One osprey took off - bet they feel free once they take that 1st fight..
Jo, you have to tell me what happened to you at the patio door.
Will see you all tomorrow. I am going to go to bed now.
Good night.
Paula, thank you so much for the video/music of Hidey's visit. Bitter sweet.
Off to do a bit of reading while waiting for the sandman or sandperson to stop by.
Good night everyone,
Judie
Shirley As I stepped through the doorway to the deck my right foot stepped on the rug which had some ice under it that I didn't realize was there. I slid forward and went DOWN hitting my lower left leg and Breaking
the bone. Went to hospital for surgery. Surgeon inserted a pin from the knee into the center of the bone down to the ankle and screwed it in place. Works like new and there was NO pain - Walked out of the hospital
with a walker for a few weeks and then a cane. I had rehab at home for 2 months - that helped. It was with hesitation that I walked and it was mainly in my mind. That was my March and April 2009 !!
Good night Shirley and Judie.
I am right behind you this evening.
Good Night All
Thanks Dana for checking in with us!
Prayers for everyone's needs being said
((((hugs)))) ♥
Paula, I missed this evenings visit. Thanks for the video, I loved it! Wonder if that was a good bye visit or will we get another.
All caught up, some good and some bad. I am glad you all saw Hidey.
Poor little Gus, it makes me so sad and so mad at the same time.
I need to read about Mason yet.
Not until 9 tomorrow, Lynn. It will be nice to sleep in.

Amen.
I am yawning and my eyes watering, so I am calling it a night.
Sweet dreams!
Prayers for all!
I am headed to bed, too. It was a long day, but good food and a Margarita helped make the end better than the middle.
She loved it...said she felt like she was on vacation;)
She finally got her Rib Eye steak...told Gene it was done to perfection and that she loved him:)
She can't quite comprehend your Birthday Greetings..."Well they are nice to say this, but, how do they know me?" Well, Mom, it's a long story:)
Sandman has been knocking on my door for about an hour now. I'm going to open the door and let him in!
Leaving the light on for you MARGY.
Don't forget to turn it off;)
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SLEEP TIGHT
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Hi, everyone,
I know it's very late, but was just reading the blog to catch up, and want Lolly to know that prayers are (and have been) going up for Gus and her.
Oh--last one out, please hit the light switch! G'night!
I made it home, it is now August!
See that there was some Eagle visiting going on, will treat myself to Paula's video after a hot shower....
and catch up on all the other comments I have missed.
Lolly - God Bless you and the family for what everyone had to endure in court Friday....prayers for a sensitive and caring outcome for Gus.
Back in a little while...
It is very consoling that God's INBOX is never too full for another request...It is comforting to know that a Higher Power is watching over things with a careful eye.
Wow
What a great Video that Paula made for us....Did you all see the shadow across the nest a second or two after Hidey left the nest?
Peace, Love and Prayers xo ♥
Good morning, everyone.
I've turned the sunshine on.
Delta Bandit, now determined to be male, has been placed in a large room with an adult male also to be released. The room is large enough for practice flapping/flying and the eagles can see the outside world. Bandit did not sustain any injury from the fall.
So happy Gee Gee had a nice birthday celebhration.
Wishing eveyone a lovely day.
Cheers,
Judie
Good morning eveyone... have a good one:)
Hidey? Sounds like it!
Jo, so happy that you have recovered so well from the fall and broken bone. It would have happened while I was lurking here.
I think I remember something being mentioned then, but I was still trying to keep everyone straight--sometimes I still am trying to do the same thing.
It seems that my video of caterpillar has disappeared. Will re-post it???!!!
Good morning all. Shirley I have problems remember who is on and what they said. So I address everyone. LOL
Lolly so sorry to hear about Gus's trouble. Poor child.
Paula video is great. Thanks.
Margy I saw you sneek in and out yesterday.
Wanda I was just about to watch it.
Morning sister.
Judie I read that also. They now say that they think after looking at its feet. They think Bandit is a male. I know they took blood. See what that shows.
Thanks, Wanda. I will take all the help I can get.
I don't know what happened to the video....I edited it and it disappeared, but it is back if you would like to watch it:)
Good morning, everyone.
I watched the video, Wanda on Facebook. Very cool
Wanda that was amazing. I have never seen that. Gene thanks. Morning Deb.
Well, Ceil, I'm glad I was able to bring that experience to you! I never get tired of watching them. I have one more, the one that escaped, that will probably morph today. Maybe Gene will watch this video and improve on his technique with the next one. He is wonderful to put up with me;)
Deb, I'll bet you have seen this process many times. I would like to get other caterpillars and try them.
No, Wanda, I have never sat and watched it happen like that. I have seen the different stages, but not as they are happening.
Wanda he held that camera for over 7 minutes and it was steady. LOL
Jim puts up with a lot from me also. BBL I better get dressed. Thanks again.
Beautiful video, Wanda. I have always been fascinated with how pretty the chrysails is . . . green with gold.
Time to get a few chores done around here. BBL.
Good morning all.
Wanda, loved the video---good job, Capt. Gene! How long before it becomes a butterfly now?
Good Morning All! Sunshine is here in the valley. Not too much planned for today - Make it a good day!
Have a nice weekend, Andrea.
Thanks, Shirley! Tell George I said 'Hi'! Here's another picture of one of the baby herons.
Those little birds are cute.
Have a great day!
Grackles . . . pretty sure that is what they are . . . have found my feeder. We have way too many of them around here.
Have some fun today, Lolly. You deserve it.

Hello, Jim--Good morning to you. Good afternoon here.
It's starting to feel like afternoon here too ... climbing toward 80° already.
I've got to go save the potted plants on the patio. Good thing I only have a few kinds of Geranium and a Bougainvillea. They don't take too much water.
Back later.

Quiet blog day today. It is lunch time here.

Back to work for me. BBL
Shucks!
Hi everyone,
New thread. Thank you, Steve.
Glad you didn't dig to China, Lolly. We want you to stay around here.
We had a basset hound that used to dig and dig and then bark into the holes. We always said she was barking at the dogs in China.
