Helen, what do you do when it is so hot at the zoo? Do you stay inside most of the time. I guess there aren't many visitors when it is extremely hot.

no, Wanda, there are 7 species of animals on the ASIAN TRAIL, not just the giant pandas, last week I was by myself so when that happens usually you will stay by the pandas, and when it started to rain, went inside, but today there will be 3 of us on the trail, only go inside if weather is dangerous.
on the other hand, the zoo does not want us endangering ourselves either, so they sent out warnings about heat stroke and what to do.

I did something this a.m. I never do, watched the news......saw a family in Wisconsin lose there home to the floods, and NBC is in China, 69,000 plus people dead, almost 20,000 still missing, and 5 million homeless due to the earthquake, kinds put things in proper perspective in relation to a cam that does not work

Norma, as soon as I get dressed will go to zoo, have cams from 10 til 1, then 1 to 4 shift, then 4 to 6 cams and meeting at 6:30p,m,, I am just learning the cams in case ther is a pregnancy and cub watch

CAndy, I'm about as far away as I can get and still be in NC. I'm in the northwest piedmont, about 5 minutes from the VA line. My daughter will be out your way in July with the girl scouts to ride horses on the beach though.

Yes Sandy, you could hear them peeping in the nest....I have video to work on tonight - you can hear them peeping in it. Of course, it's not as loud as the cam, because you are farther away

Jim, she is able to walk on her own, along with the assistance of a cane. She ate well and laughed and joked just like her old self.

Paula, thanks for the pics. I downloaded the whole album to my computer. I will try to do that with mine, though alot are the same. That is a great way to share all these pics with each other. I love Picasa.

I would put mine on the Momsters site...but I load them in large size and it doesn't work there, so I put them on Picasa.

That is a very touching - the respect shown and the closeness of man & panda. It is very sad.

Sounds like one of our 6:00 viewings for the banding if in fact it happens. Both adults are at the WE nest - the raven situation doesn't make Dr Sharpe's arrival very welcomed!
