Hi, eagle lovers! DEB - thanks for the link to the baby panda video. What a cutie! Don't you just want to grab him and give him a hug? SANDRA - It's been so good to see you on here the last couple of days. I'm sure the joy of watching our eagles will help you get better. I'm worried about the weather forcast - am supposed to go down to the DC area tomorrow to spend some time with my Mom. I usually don't schedule trips in the winter, but since my brother's death, I'm trying to spend more time with her. Guess I'll keep my fingers crossed that the ice will clear up by late morning. I'm hoping to miss the evening rush hour down there!
HELLO SANDY!!----So exciting to learn you may be going home soon!!!!----WOW!!--Delighted you are back on the blog typing!!!----& watching our EAGLES!! Stay COOL!---& listen to DANELLE!!! ho!---Love you---

Hi Jim, glad you got some rest.....no worries, Danelle, you would not believe what the blooger cop does sometimes, just relax and enjoy.
SO WINDY (and I bet it is coming up our way) at the NBG nest. I don't think it is the camera moving ...
I keep forgetting to ask you all if you knew that the FL Tesoro eaglets were named TESS & ORO?

that's funny. Sandy and I are laughing.
I had not heard of that, Jo, what ever floats your boat???, glad the nest isn't in Pensacola FLA, that could come out weird
Yeah, Jo, that was really strange when that happened, thought the blog was haunted.

I see ZZ descending the tree, perhaps to meet with Bai Yun for lunch....
Jim
so far, Jim, things seem to be ok, don't know what the mouse problem was it came and went....that ZZ is a hoot

Wish we had a canopy over our nest
for tonight's forecasted freezing rain
Hmmm eagle gone...wonder if that was a fish or fluff that was brought in....
i WONDER IF WE WILL PLAY MUSICAL NESTS tonight at NBG...
Well at worst, the rain will pack that fluff down, and they'll need some more!
Or they'll be in there fluffing the fluff to get it dry.....
probably an owl trap
Ha Ha Mits...
See ya'll later, heading home...
NBG total darkness - meaning with very little light!!
I'll have dinner on the table in 10 mins.. Spaghetti with a few meatballs.. So I'll BBL...
Buck on the deer cam.
I think we are getting a nightime tour of Norfolk
Is anyone watching NBG?
Weird, I just let the dogs in and couldn't figure out what was going on. Now I can tell.
think we were get a tour of the surrounding area, Deb....I saw the buck on the deer cam
Lady B is awake
we are back at the NBG NEST
They had an egg on this date last year at NBG, but let's hope they wait for the weather to clear this year.
100% agree with that Deb, but Mother Nature might have her own ideas
They turned up the light and are zooming in, but I don't see anything yet.
poor injured deer on cam, looks like a sore on her leg, hope it is not infected
actually the hole ih her leg looks like it is bullet sized
That's the first good shot we've had of her leg. It doesn't seem to get any bigger, since we first saw her.
Never thought of that. The back leg is not right either, I thought maybe she tangled with a car.
Eagle at PH.
leg just looked swollen to me, but with this shot it looks like a sore on her leg
Hi Deb and Mits. You two seem to be holding the fort down pretty good!
I spent about an hour this evening working on the FAFSA for Andrew's financial aid for next year. It is completed and 2 weeks early!
PH is going down around 4:55 PST until sometime Monday. They are doing some big switch on the feed. Did you read the IWS update for this week? It is pretty interesting and has quite a few little videos.
good for you Sharon....I'm just waiting for hubby, dinner is waiting....
Deb, I can barely keep up with ouR info here, just don't seem to get over to the other sites too much, but I will try to go see that one...hubby's home dinner time...BBL
So, where did everybody go?
I do not know.....??????
there is nothing on TV but repeats...
NOthing but repeats for sure!
and I am not a Lost fan...
Hey, Mits, tell hubby I just watched the Mount crush opponent in Bball - 97 to 60
was it on TV, he is watching wrestling.....I'll tell hgim right now....not a lost fan either
Hey Mits, what did you cook hubby for dinner?
tee-hee.....I cooked steaks on the grill, salad and roasted potatoes
No, went to the Mount to watch it...
hubby has season tickets, but rarely gets a chance to go...we used to go when Kevin was there, just so we would get a chance to see him....I love going up to The Mount
Oooohhh, that sounds good?
Hey, Preaching Meteorologist, you could preach a sermon from there. :)
I did enough preaching when Kevin was in college....cute, sermon at "the mount"...I get it
lights up at NBG
Being from the middle of the country, I have to ask, what is the Mount?
I knew you would get it!
Deb, we are referring to MOUNT ST. MARY'S UNIVERSITY at EMMITSBURG, MARYLAND, my hubby, son, daughter-in-law and her sisters are graduated from there, and, Paula lives nearby, so she can go to the basketball games
but Sharon was referring to the "sermon on the mount" , she was injecting humor into the blog:):):)
And I graduated from there too!
has anyone found out why sometimes there is a brighter light at NBG???
my bad, yes you did, Paula::):):)
Lady B is awake and spreading her tail feathers
Got the humor from Sharon. :) Didn't know if it was a college or not.
It feels good to be able to be humorous again!
Going to bed now.
Good night and sweet eagle dreams, my friends of fine feathers and fur! Hope everybody has a restful and peaceful night.
You get some good ones in every once in awhile that make me chuckle!
Sharon, I'm glad you are starting to laugh again....
Lady B is alseep, but wings are really spread out.
WEATHER FOR CAMBRIDGE MARYLAND, BWE NEST:

Thunderstorms for the first of February, is this a normal winter? I always assumed it would be cold and snowy.
In this area, our weather fluctuates so much it is not unusual, Deb, we have the mountains 3 hours to the west, and the ocean 3 hours to the east, so predicting weather is a challenge here. I'm talking about the Washington D.C. weather
I have only been in DC in the summer, it was hot and humid!
I wonder if the light at NBG is motion activated??
And by the mountains the forecast is this...
Tonight: Mainly cloudy this evening. Then a light mix of wintry precipitation expected overnight. Low 26F with temps rising to near freezing. Winds E at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precip 90%.
Tomorrow: Windy...with rain and freezing rain in the morning...changing to all rain. A few rumbles of thunder are possible in the afternoon. Some sleet may mix in early. High 46F. Winds ESE at 15 to 25 mph.
yep, that is our summers, you get used to it....I never thought of it being motion-activated.
Oh, yes, the dog days of summer...
I am glad I went in this evening & changed my 1st egg laying date vote!!
Sure doesn't look as though anyone is coming into the egg cup tonight!
Have not seen the GHW at NBG! Good!!
Deb we have had thunderstorms in DEC but I cannot remember any in FEB during my lifetime.. CHANGES!!!
I have been AWOL or more so on a 4 hr pass..... Just been playing card games on computer - should have been paying bills!!!
Guess I missed saying Good Night to eagle eye-Sharon.. I'll say it anyway - Most bloggers say they are leaving but will Look Back One More Time...
Good Night Sharon loL
a little heat and humidity sounds good right now
We have those days here, too. When you go outside and the air is so thick it is hard to breath.
would ya look at Lady B, that can't be comfortable..maybe she is pushing out a couple more eggs for good measure
A little heat sounds real good right now. We are supposed to get in the 30's tomorrow, so will have to settle for that.
Deb, I hate wearing coats...so I would not do well in your neck of the woods
Remember Lisa BW said that if a third was coming it should be here by the end of Saturday.
ok Lady B closed her wings.
Wow Deb a heat wave :)
Well, got a busy day tomorrow, so I better get ready for bed...GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
Most people here have more than one winter coat, heavy, not so heavy and a jacket. We have worn the heavy coat more often this year than the last 4-5 winters.
Closing out for the evening
Good Night
Peaceful dreams & restful sleep
Good Morning all you early birds
It really is FRIDAY once again
It will be a heat wave, Paula. Remember it was just -20 the other day. That's a 50 degree difference. Now I have to look back at how to make that symbol. It didn't work.
Alt and 2 4 8

I tried 2, 4, and 6. No wonder it didn't work.
I will sign off, too. Night everyone. Hope the storm changes directions for you.
Helen, we had steak on the grill also, along with salad and baked potatoes.
Cams are all quiet right now and there is no owl in Nora and Norman's nest.

We should also be getting ICE........
I was afraid Belle would leave when Lib flew out...... I SURE HOPE IT IS BELLE AND NOT LIBERTY THAT WE'RE WATCHING lol
