I'm not an eagleofile, so I can't recognise each bird,, but I'm a panda person really, I can tell every different panda I watch,,,,,, but love all wildlife, I'm still learning with the eagles, and find them so beautiful.

What Mits was talking about her son taking the plunge for Maggie. Polar Bear plunge for Special Olympics in our area if you can't get it on channel 11 tv. NBC channel 4 is going to show it. It has gotten so big. People will enter water in 2 shifts (1) at noon and 2nd set of people at 3pm.

Yes been a panda watcher and interested in them all my life.

I love the eagles too but I'm still a learner and cant, sorry to say tell one from the other yet,, but I will master it in time.
I'll have to now as my hungry pair want feeding.
I've made a masive pot of Lancashire Hot Pot [stew] with potaotes and loads of vegies.
and Yesterday I made a Dutch Apple Brandy Cake, ooozzing with juice,,I think I'll serve it up with copious ammounts of thick Hot creamy custard.. and that will have to do them.
Mei is sitting lokking for more treats [as usual] and Gobbo is looking for trouble as always.
Pete's pond is FULL of Elephants at the moment. all the babies look fine...and mummy is sitting on the nest at Tesoro.
So I can go and get some work done and feed the hungry cavemen.

and yes Wanda, they just started on this nest this past fall...check out the slideshows on the site...you will see them building it....a good portion of the nest from last year fell off after all that stomping from the 3 eaglets!

Good news from Chincoteague NWR! We have our first eagle egg as of Fri morning 1/25/08. I'll let ya'll know when and if we get more.

We were at Chincoteague once in the Motor Home and the "No Seeums" were so bad, we all had itchy, red bites on us for days. Or was that Florida?

Mits left for Sandy Point today is the sons plunge into the water. TV Baltimore channel. They were shows scenes I guess of last yr. on channel 4. Said so big now it goes to shift 12 noon and 3 pm. News is off now. Can't get Baltimore station to see.

I just came from Helen's son's website to contribute to that wonderful cause, and read about sweet Maggie and how her Daddy is working so hard for that cause. How lucky God gave her to such a wonderful, caring family. He is really getting close to his goal!
Chincoteague NWR is a beautiful place along with Assateague Island.
When we visit there, we stay at the Waterside Inn (a motel), which overlooks the Chincoteague Channel.
It's a wonderful area for anyone who enjoys nature.
Large BLACK BIRD at BWO & the BWE cam is "goofed up"!---Two EAGLES in nest----but bars are across the screen!! It looks like the 2 are in jail!!

OK! I cannot find any live coverage from the Polar Bear event down at Sandy Point.... I would think they will have 'after the fact' coverage later today on the news. I will keep checking it our. I did see a real live Polar Bear on the nature channel.
That bar you sometimes see going across the Eagle Cam image is usually caused by someone or something interfering with our wireless signal.
Normally it's a car or someone stopping on the road near the nest.
Ooops...did ya'll see a bar across it about 2:30pm last weekend....

Don't know Paula...I watched them bringing in materials. Female recently brought in that dry grassy stuff you see. I have try different places for research. Just know they will lay before BWO does Lisa told me. Since they are in Florida a warmer area.

The OspreyCam is focused on an artificial nesting platform erected by LCEC (our electric provider). The two adults have been using this platform for at least 11 years. The ospreys spend the majority of the year in Cape Coral.
There is a funny looking wild animal on the deer cam. It has two legs and is wearing camaflogue clothes.
Darn, gone. They must be working on the cams, as he was crouched down looking at it.

I only see her feed one hummer just a mintue ago. I was catching up on my house work too this morning. Couldn't put it off any longer. Then my curiosity got the best of me and I had to come and take a peek.

HI THERE PAULA AND YES WANDA, i DID SLEEP IN GRRRRRR! Then I had some catching up to do. Still have to finish both bathrooms.
BWE is sure moving around funny. Each time she moves her body, she keeps part of it in that one spot so you can't see what is happening. Beththere is an egg or going to be.
If Chincoteague already has an egg, it shouldn't be too much longer.

Just popping in before getting ready to go to Mass - I had a beautiful Panda nap..Seems like when I overdo one day it is the next day that I recuperate.
BWE In the past: the egg would be laid and then seen 1st thing early morning hours.Lisa says Lady BW was teasing us the other night!
I have not seen any news coverage yet about Polar Bear plunges! I thought maybe Kevin's plunge was with the 3:00 group? I'll keep watching until I leave.
Mits could be back home and on here telling us all about the Plunge before we see anything on the news!
