Last night, about 11:30, I saw a whole herd of deer on the Pa. cam. Maybe six or more. Do they ever sleep? It is such and eerie sight with their eyes glowing. When I see one with it's nose glowing, I will stop watching!

Now you all can see what would happen to Tai-Shan if they put him back. Same thing with eagles, we all know what would happen if Spunky would try to land in the nest. Belle would chase him away.

Wanted to get that out there. Fish crows on the BWO nest, both still in the BWE nest. Bai is playing with her bamboo, and I think Squiggles, but they're back in the birthing den and it's dark. Bai just walked out, oh, yeah, ZZ is there.

Need to read yesterdays comments. Had errands to run most of day. And had to take someone to catch a greyhound. Then back just in time to catch the football game. Although I fell asleep through it. Woke up at 2am and went back to sleep.
Have grocies to get today and run a friend to work. So I won't be in much probably.

Unexpectedly, my husband helped me put up our tree and decorate it this year. He also put our lights outside, except for the bannister with the hanging boughs with lights. I did that.
We don't get out of school here until Friday night, so have asked him to bake the cookies as well; he is sitting home doing nothing.PUT HIM TO WORK! :)

Norma, their last day is this Friday. Don't feel bad Dana, I am frantically cleaning, baking, wrapping and shopping, just like most people. Tis the season and all that.... Hubby brought a tree home last Monday and we got it decorated and lit in record time that very evening. I sent no cards this year either..
Oh please, I put my pants on one leg at a time just like the rest of you....

SUZANNE---Yesterday I finally saw a DOE at PA site!!---Now there are some "kinda" large birds??---Thought maybe Quail---but quails don't have long feathers as these do!! Pheasant maybe??

Sure did, Paula! Like to froze to death! Electric went out sometime Sat night, I was in bed, and didn't come back on until 10:30 Sunday morning! I have electric heat, so sure glad it came on when it did!
Last I heard there are still 26K people without electricity in the Harrisburg area, and they probably won't get it back until sometime Wednesday. Others are out too, including some still in my county, but not as many as in Harrisburg. Saw lots of ice on branches and lines this morning coming in. It's pretty, but sure can mess ya up!

Looks like that one eagle is having a time with whatever it is. Large bird, almost looks too big for a seagull, and it's white with black wings. No clue.
I think those black things are legs!
I vote seagull....they come in all shapes and sizes.

Ok, I asked the expert, Lisa. Said at first thought it was a snow goose, but others think it may be a seagull or tern. She said they may be right, if it was a snow goose, there would be more feathers! I don't know, looks like it would make a pretty comfy feather pillow...

It was definitely a good-sized bird. The black wings and white body made me think it was a snow goose (which are at the refuge) but I would have thought we'd see more feathers flying around if they were tearing up a goose. But yes, the feathers might be flying off.
If not a goose, then the gull or tern idea might be good. But it would have to be a big bird.
PAULA---Do you suppose they are the "EGG BONDING" couple!!---I bet they are!!---ho!

Good Afternoon, all. It is a beautiful, warm day here in SD. It is already 25, so we might even hit the 40's today!! Life is once again good if you are a Vikings fan as they won again last night. It wasn't a pretty game, but it was a win. Being a Vikings fan is a tough life, but we hang in there to the bitter end. :):)

Wanda, Tai Shan was the first cam I ever started to watch....so, the eagles have always been my second love....pandas first.
I was raised a Vikings fan and every year I say "that's it, I am done", but the next year, there I am. This year we all thought, rebuilding year, so we won't have our hopes dashed once again. And what do they do? Start winning and here we are all, with the hopes rising! Ha-ha!
Suzanne is missing a good show.
No changes at the Kent nest. I sure hope they come back. That is the nest I first discovered last summer.
Honestly Deb, I thought there was much more action this time last year, even with a bad storm that they had....I would love to see them back, but there is still time I think
I sure hope so. I did find out from a guy fishing at the dam last week that there is a nest on the river, so I might have to go looking for it this spring. With all the ice on the river, I am chicken to take the boat out. I hinted that I would sure like to see it, but he didn't offer. HA-HA!
Maybe wait til spring, and then you might see some young ones.
