Every once in a while you will see some wildlife, deer, racoons, turkeys. But you know it's working if you see the leaves move. It's not on any animals, it's just out in the woods and tracks whatever comes by. There was a whole flock of turkeys there earlier!
Moose cam has 3 moosies, 1 bull, 2 cows.
I was looking at the SC nest & read some of HARPO'S comments---He suggested everyone look at the MAINE site!!----IT REALLY COMING DOWN NOW!!!

Thanks, Norma. I'll check it out when I have a minute. Oh, I made a mistake the other day too! I got the animal adoptions from WWF, not National Wildlife Federation! I'm still waiting to see what they want, but I think I'll just get them a card, and they can pick at their leisure!

Suzanne - I did enter that eagle pic you bought in the National Wildlife Refuge Photo Contest. It has also been in the Philadelphia Inquirer and Chesapeake Bay Magazine.

Dana - Last year I think the top prize was a pair of binoculars. This year its a 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. I think competition is going to be pretty stiff.

Stopped snowing in Maine, and ZZ Bear has found some bamboo to play with! She's so cute.
Ooopsies, we were sitting up and just fell over and went boom. Little cutiepie! But since we're down, might as well investigate those back feet. They sure are fascinating!!!

Good morning, I wish I had your weather, it is a "balmy" 14 here with a high of 27 predicted.
Hummer #1 is out flying the the second hummer is tracking it. #2 flexed his wings a couple times, but didn't take off yet.
Five moose and a deer in Utah. Something is different in Kent nest, I think. I will compare in a bit.

Well there is 1 hummer in the nest but there are 4 bulls & 1 cow in the yard! I have yet to check out more of the cams - started reading but decided that I best let you know I was in here!
I don't think she's eating it, Mits, just sorta holding on to it and maybe chewing it. She's still cutting teeth, isn't she? It may feel good on her gums. I don't know, but she wasn't letting go of it! Mom's trying to get her to nurse, and she's kicking, she wants to play!

Now I know what you mean by the blogger eating your messages! We got between 4-5" of snow, no ice. I compared my Kent pictures and the top branch is lower, which could be caused by a lot of things.
Mits, watch Tai's parents! Oh, panda on the bottom just stole that tube from the other one. I presume that is Mei that stole it from Tian, but she shook it to get treats out. Didn't you say Tian was the one that shook them? She just puts them in her mouth?

Oh Norma, that's good! Someone was talking about only giving him 18 mos, and that's not enough. And I read an email today from Best Friends, they got 22 of his dogs!! They can be rehabbed, and all of them went to places like Best Friends but two, 1 had to be put down for health reasons, and not sure about the other one. 50 plus dogs!! Good grief!

Suz, Mei is the one that will recline and lay on her back and shake them out, Tian usually pushes it around and hopes the treat come out...was supposed to have a shift today, but have a nasty cold. so I'm not going in, taking my cough medicine and like Tian hoping for the best.
I think he should pay money for the taking care of the dogs and the putting down of them also....hope he has learned his lesson.
Well I missed the turkeys in PA but I see that the burrowing owls are snow covered but really think I see some bird prints in the snow there....
FtStVrain cam is down & has been for a few days. The pair of eagles had been seen there.
I still only see 1 hummer chick in the nest...
I keep checking BW Eagle cam - I hope it connects sometime today!

Oh, Mits, I'm sorry to hear you don't feel well! Not a day to be out in this weather, then. Hope you feel better quickly! Take Zicam, that's supposed to help if you take it at the beginning of a cold. Didn't do that with my last one, but I have Zicam now in case I get another one!
I agree, he should have to pay mega bucks for fines, and yes, they should go to the pet sanctuaries that are caring for these dogs. But he has lost his salary and ALL of his endorsements, so no funds coming in there! Think when he is released, his 3 years probation should be working with animals! He's lucky, he coulda been sentenced up to 5 years!

Hi all,
Just an update on the cam. They got the camera in the tree and fixed a cut on the cable (looked like something had been chewing on it while the eagles were away).
Our cam technician needs to replace a piece of equipment on the microwave transmitter this week, then we should be ready to go live.
Our cam tech said the nest has grown larger and we might not be able to see the ground on the cam. Sounds like the eagles have been busy.

The BW eagle nest has the sides built up - you can tell a lot of nestorations have been done by the Lord and Lady Blackwater! Really fills up the screen.
The nest picture comes on and then goes off - Not there all the time..
mine stays up and the time is correct.
Like we can't see our 12:00 position in WV nest - BW nest is going to be missing the 6:00 position when the eagles are there.
I am sure it is hard with the eagles around to change the cam positions!

The only one in the nest now is the Older one.
Now we'll see how long they hang around the nest, getting used to their life and equipment.

Now they're both gone, and you can see how the near side of the nest has broken down and sagged to the outside.... lasted longer than the expected term though.

We are replacing the cable modem at the nest of George II and Gracie. We anticipate having the camera operational before the end of December.
We apologize for the long absence, and we will keep our fingers crossed that the equipment provides us with a longer working time.

Look at the Tesoro nest....right in the middle of the nest, you can see the top of a palm tree behind the nest! Looks like a furry head popping out of the nest!
I noticed that also, Paula....their sunset at 5:27p.m. should be darker there now
