CandyThey do bring deer into the nest. Large chucks of it. Last season someone hit one. That is what Liberty and Belle did. Steven had told us the red we seen then was deer meat.
If Kent gets busy they will catch a squirrel with its head in the hole and its butt/tail sticking out.

Suz, I looked at your photos and that just doesn't look like Precious; too square and flat. I just really don't know. Hope a get an answer back from the SD Zoo. It is very early there, so it may take a while.

KARLA went to the doctor and thinks she is haveing a re-action to a mold problem she has within her car. She noticed an awful oder in her 2 yr. old car, and as the days went by, it got worse; to the point of making her throw up. She took the car to the garage and they have been litteraly tearing it apart to find where the odor is coming from. Doctor told her not to drive the car for a while after she gets it back.
Wow sorry Wanda for Karla. I sure hope they find where that mold is in the car. Praying they do!!

Right now, she is concerned about the warrenty on the car and weather or not the necessary repairs are covered under the warrenty. She has an extra vehicle, so there's no problem there.

The dance the FLAMINGOS do, that is so beautiful, is called the MATING DANCE---I googled FLAMINGOS they have a clip from the same PTV NATURE show I saw on the ANDES!!!----You certainly will enjoy watching the GRACEFUL BIRDS!!-----(i give it a 4 star rating)---ho!

Anne emailed me that she had been watching the 2 burrowing owls playing outside of their snow covered burrow!
Keep watching - maybe we can get a glimpse of them!
ZZ is still snoozing, and Fatty is stretched out in the moonlight at Petes Pond, and the little hummers are full and snoozing too.
And it's making me feel like snoozing myself... Guess I'd better sign off and do something else for a time..

Yes, I did. It was this past March. I took it about 5 miles south of my house. We only get eagles during the winter for the most part.

It is really windy here, maybe she is getting shelter from the wind. Come on Lib and snuggle.
Remember the season before last she had a place on her head. Where Steven said she had gotten into a scrap. So with the immature eagle around she could have gotten into one.
NO FEAR! The mark on Belle's beak has been there - went back & looked at older pics.. Man, in my mind I had a entirely new eagle couple invading Lib & Belle's nest~! I need a break!

The 2 sloth bears are Hanna and Balavat, mom and cub,,,the 2 cludes are Tai and Mook, still waiting for them to produce a cub.
FLAMINGOS are in the water---but not dancing!!
Just had the fishing cat walk by the cam... Both Momma & sonny sloth bears are sleeping side by side..as are the 2 clouded leopards.. Just caught the 2 otter sisters on the cam racing around!
No snow yet. Today is just supposed to be a dusting. Saturday into Sunday could be a lot, depending on the storm track. I hope they are wrong.

Do you like Country music? I just discovered that KKGO-FM, which was a great jazz station I used to listen to for many years has gone through quite a few changes ... classical for over 10 years, then some kind of pop rhythm thing, and now it has been converted to a strong sounding Country station (the only two Country stations in L.A. converted at the same time last year). It's not my no. 1 favorite, but sometimes I really like the stuff, so I'm happy to see the format back in this area.

doing fine, Jim, not really into the country scene, my son worked for the local country radio station here in DC for 6 years, worked his way up to associate producer of the morning drive show and had his own show on Sunday nights, but, marriage and 2 babies, he needed to look for a more stable job, and radio was not it.
Which staion Mits? I used to listen to one down there a lot. WAYZ? I think. Not sure now.

CD right now... "Playin' with my Friends" which is a series of duets with other great singers.
He's just gotten better and better as he's aged...one of the greats of pop and jazz now.

Seems Belle is sleeping normally this morning, and did not come check the nest at 4:30. Precious has had her midnight snack and is sleeping in the den, Bai is out. PA is down, has been all morning, and moose cam is not updating, showing pic from yesterday. Course it's darker there than here, and it's dark here now. One lone owl in the hotel.

Good Morning Suz and my Mother soon. Slept really well last night after 3 days of meds. But I feel more conjested this AM.
FYI _ my car ended up with a condenser leak from the AC that backed up under the dash and carpet and created the terrible (I mean terrible) mold. That problem is fixed but we decided not to have the carpet replaced. ($$$$$) Warranty does not cover this because it isn't a defect???? Looking into that. My husband is going to scrub it with Borax this weekend.
Morning, Karla! Sorry to hear you're still conjested, but hope you start feeling better soon. And glad you slept well last night. Sleep helps. Sorry to hear about the car, seems to me that would be a defect, it's not something you can break!
They have changed Bai's den. She's no longer in the birthing den. Guess since our little ZZ Precious (like the ZZ) has learned to walk, they pub Bai in a mommie and cub den. That sure seems like an awesome zoo!
No visitors yet this morning, but kinda been keeping an eye out!
