Well the old tracks are covered so that is how we can tell if something has been in the nest.

Precious just got dragged away by the scruff of her neck by Mom, but camera does not follow her. So we sit and look at a bare hallway until the camerman wakes up from his Panda Nap. lol
Jill, I havn't seen her on here for a while. Hope she is alright.
She is usually on here every morning when I get on sometime after 6am. Didn't hear from her yesterday or today. Don't remember if she was on Sunday or not.
Dana popped in real quick on Monday night, which was last night.
She was on here on Sunday, too.
You would think with the money the San Diego Zoo must have, they would have a better camera system than they do. The cameras must me manned by aliens.
Off to walk the dogs.

Wanda, as far as I know, there is no other zoo besides the National Zoo in DC that has voulunteers that man the cams 12 hours a day. Most of the others are usually positioned by keepers or other staff when they get the chance to do so.
NCIS also on at 8:00. I really like that show (think Mits watches it too). Dancing With The Stars comes on at 9:00 and the new champions will be announced. Hope it is the race car driver. Spice Girl, Mel, has made a career of dancing and singing, so I feel she is a professional, whereas, Helio (sp) was never a dancer or preformer.

I'm here I'm here sorry everyone. I took the day and we put the doggie in the car. Took him (doggie)shopping. He got a new coat; which he modeled for all the customers in the store. Then we looked for a car seat. Didn't like those. So he (doggie) got this bed with sides blue; with matching blankie and doggie pillow. We went riding up into Pen Mar Park, in Pa.
Didn't mean to worry everyone.
NCIS is our favorite also. Bones comes on another channel at same time so we tape that one. Watch it later.

Well, what happened? Did we have multiple visits while I was away?
Earlier, after I had closed down the blog, I saw the largest Hummingbird in the nest raise himself up a bit and start practicing flexing his wings. Better watch closely starting tomorrow for the fledging.
This Mozilla browser seems much more stable than Explorer, AND ... I think it has its own spyware filter. I used to get spyware and adware by the gross every time I opened a site, but now when I manually scan with my anti..... software, there's nothing.
Now, I still get a lot when I'm using AOL, especially if I use something on the Internet...like the radio feature, or snopes.com.
I tried snopes with this browser... no pop-ups or spyware got through, but one pop-under was animating away on my desktop when I closed the browser.

Look at Bai Yun and Zhen zhen sleeping front to back next to each other...Bai Yun doesn't have the baby between her paws anymore though.
Think I still like "Squiggles" better by the way.

A friend took us up to the rock where they hang glide near Penn Mar, that was beautiful, unfortunately I didn't have a camera with me.
Hi everybody. I just put a big pot of turkey soup on the stove and now I'm letting it do its business. I will have a good lunch tomorrow.
We did not go on back to High Rock. Just a Pen Mar Park. Boy was it cold...
I want to go back in the spring and go on up to High Rock. See birds.

Dana I'm worried about that too.there doesn't seem much activity around the nest either but the east coast eagles seem to start earlier than the west coast eagles. I have noticed that in past years.

Not too bad out, but cold. 37° in PA, 44° here, but only a little wind so far. Moon is out there, and a few stars, so clear.
Will try to go see what I missed yesterday.
Oh, Jim, I got my Old Man and the Sea book and DVD yesterday. I'll probably start the audio book either this afternoon going home, or tomorrow morning coming in. Perfect timing, current book is almost finished.
Ok, all have a great eagle/panda day. Gonna be another busy one here, and someday very soon, gonna have to move cubes. Have a new government guy, and he doesn't have a cube, so we're all moving and some are doubling up (like some of us already are), and that entails a big cube shuffle. Don't know when, hopefully this week, but then if this network remains as usual, don't know when I'll get connectivity back.
Bai just left Precious, who is half way sleeping on her side and her back, little arms up above her head, she's so cute.

Well that was quick. Bai just came back, hugged Precious Squiggles to her and laid back down. She sure loves that little baby!
Our Precious Squiggles is trying to play with a stick of bamboo. She tried to cross over it, and couldn't, so now she's sitting there trying to play with it...no, she's got an itch, scratching, that little back leg is just a going! Looks like she has her right foot and arm over the bamboo, and she's kinda sitting, and sccratching her side/back with her left hind foot. Mom hasn't woken back up yet, and Precious is still fighting that itch. But she hasn't let go of the bamboo stick, which is too funny.
Now, she's leaning back against mom...still has the bamboo, oh, now it's over her foot.... she's moving it, but still scratching. Ok, leg down, now both legs back up and we're trying to kick the bamboo with hind legs. She's so cute! Gonna work at this a while looks like.
One of the adult NZ pandas is up and pacing. Think it's Mei, cause Norma said Tian has the whiter butt. This ain't so white. Squiggles got tired of the bamboo and is on the move...she's over by the door, and Bai has moved to take up most of the den, and Bai is also OVER the bamboo stick. Precious has now scooted back and is on Bai's head, looks like she may be trying to get the bamboo stick again. What a riot! Mei just went back in her enclosure, and back out she comes. We have different views on both cams this morning.
Oh, looks like Precious may be gonna go back to sleep, she's now laying on her back, but wiggling. Has her little butt on toop of Bai's nose! Oh, she just turned over and is now kicking the wall of the den, but still kind of has her butt on Bai's nose. What a hoot! She's just ready to play, and poor Bai is ready to sleep!
Don't know where the NZ panda went, out in a yard off cam.
Our nest is still MT, but they showed up so early yesterday, I'm trying to keep an eye on it.
Bai gave up and walked out of the den. Precious is still wiggling around touching the bamboo. Looks like she's slowing down though, and bet she's go back to sleep in a sec now that Bai has left.
Ok, so that won't happen...Bai just came back and picked her up. Guess it's time for midnight snack. Or a cuddle, but no, Precious not ready to settle down. She sits up, lays dwn on her side, now her hind feet are kicking mom in the face, and she's got the bamboo between her front paws.
NZ panda is back and forth, pacing on and off cam.
Bai is a bit more determined than Precious at this moment. Bai has her in a bear hug up by her head, and she's not letting go. Squigs tried a time or two to get away, but mom didn't let go. So now maybe they're both gonna go back to sleep.

Owl in hotel, came in about a half hour ago, I guess.
Still nobody at our nest yet.
Something is on Africam, and I have no earthly idea what they are. They are hanging out and eating grass with the Impalas, but don't think I've ever seen this animal before. Larger than Impalas, brown with white stripes 3/4 of the way down their back and neck. Cam is following whatever it is. There were 2 of them. Looks at least 3 times larger than the Impalas, but they're laying down and some are still grazing, so they're not afraid of it. Strolling back to the other one. One looks like it has a bird riding on it's back.

It looks like I am too early to see our eagles and too late to see our Precious/Squiggles. Haven't been on lately as I was in a funk once Josh left to go home and school has kept me later nights. Starting to change over for December.
Last night, I finally sat down and got all my email caught up, read the last couple of blogs to get kind of caught up, and got cheered up at listening to all the chatter that I was missing on here.
I guess I am too late for SUZANNE too. :) Well I think I will go on to school nad look at our nest from there.

2 owls in the nestbox, Jo, when you get up. They were nuzzling a while ago. This is the first time in quite a while I've seen the 2 in there again.

Eagle at BW
Karla is still not doing well. Seems each time she gets a cold, it settles in her chest, then she coughs until she spits up blood. She is going too her doctor this morning. She should have gone a week ago. She is truly a busy person and it is hard for her to find time for herself. (to go to Dr.)
I have been keeping her in prayer Wanda. I've been so worried about her. Glad to hear she is finally going to dr.
Robyn, that sounds like my dream property...to have a stream running through it.
I hope Karla is doing better Wanda, sry to hear she is sick. The weather isn't exactly being kind to us, warm, cold and so on
