GOOD DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE. Yes, Steven big difference in the weather, but it was so nice to sit out on the deck of my S-I-L's house yesterday before the front moved past. Wanda, I remember the loon, that was a great nest, just this past spring we were watching it.
Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Bluefield, WVA, Sharon.

Oh, Mits, I am so glad you remembered LuLu and the floating nest. I didn't want everyone to think I was imagining things. I enjoyed that so much. Hope they bring it back in the Spring.
Sharon, I'm so glad you have the day off. It just does something for the soul to have that extra time off. When I worked at a public job, I used to say that everyone should have a 3 day weekend every month to look forward to, like a mini vacation.
That was really a great site, Wanda, and the gentleman was nice to let everyone know what was going on. I had never seen loons that close up before.
Wanda, I think you misunderstood. I do NOT have the day off. I have been working since 6 a.m. -- but it is FRIDAY!
I know they are not using the nest, but there are eagles in the Tesoro nest, glad I didn't take the site down.
Good Morning all. Its cold but not your kind of cold. Got the garbage out and waiting for my eggs to boil. What a beautiful day yesterday was. My 7 year old got to see Lib in the nest. He had to run to show his Mom. Dinner went well. There is nothing I love more than laughing family all in the kitchen each doing their own thing. Yes I work today. I'll be watching and reading what each of you are doing and saying. Have a beautiful day and enjoy . Hugs.

Got to see football yesterday Dallas and Jets with light snow coming down. Didn't lay on ground and switched to rain. While they span around getting shots of the snow. I just loved watching that.

Happy Friday to all. I am late but all the cams are up LOL. I got pictures form yesterday too BUT I sent them to me from work and they are not here ...Hmmm so where are they. Probably intercepted by my boss. Well no big problem she kknows I watch the cams at work as much as I can. I do not take smoke breaks like most of the others and never have a TV running so the cam is an OK, but I do want those pictures. I have some from the first 20 mins or so before Sharon got here. I will look for them in sent folder when I go back to work Sunday IF time permits and load them to yahoo from work if I need to.
OK well have yourselves a great day and weekend. Find that shovel Sharon sounds like you might be needing it.
DANA I am with you. It isn't a good football game withough snow coming down, high winds and soooooo cold that one has to be bundled up with pocket warmers (That is what we had back in the old days. Up North when I was a young whipper snapper, that is how we watched football.
Have to go to my email and get it down some, as the nest cams I have up aren't occupied at the moment and I figure all are having turkey sandwiches. BBIALW

Paula, I am going to have a STUFFING sandwich for lunch. Candy puts cranberry sauce and green and ripe olives on hers. Sounds like something I might have craved during my pregnant days.
CANDY--eating outside, reminds me of a time Gene and I were in Jacksonville, Fl. and we were having breakfast out on the screened patio very close to the ocean. The wind started blowing very hard and blew our plates right off the table. So funny.
SHARON, loved your Bluefield site. I have never seen it before. Bookmarked it so I can see what your weather is like this winter. Maybe next Summer I can see someone passing out LEMONADE.LOL

Hi, Jim. I Went shopping one Black Friday VERY eary and still didn't get ANY of the bargains that were advertised. That was 10 years ago....never again.
PAULA, Gene does go back after Thanksgiving, but not this year. His friend who owns the Cabin, hurt his leg and is not going back. Maybe during Doe season.
Jim, I do not believe I have ever been shopping on Black Friday. I know one year, Mommy went to Kaybee toys to buy Andrew something and they just about knocked her down getting in the door. I have been working all day anyway, so I could not have gone.
And - Andrew wants a laptop this year so there will not be much shopping beyond that!

I was never able to do BF shopping since I work in retail - I always had to be at work because I deal with our computer system - but one year I did get off on Black Friday and was able to get a really good deal on a computer, so I braved the crowds and went out and bought it.
That is a little blackbird unless somebody is playing "Honey I shrunk the Eagle"! :)
Finally getting hungry after sleeping in so late :)

Wow, Jim, $3.55 a gallon. Ours is about %3.09 and I thought that was bad. My sister-in-law came in from Virginia today and she got it for $2.85 a gallon on Wednesday.

Bluefield Beavers is beating Scott 21-0 at halftime in the last of the playoff games. Next week is the championship game and hopefully the Beavers will be in it!

Sorry for the delay, but it crashed again. It seems to happen once not too long after I open Explorer, but then it will be OK until I shut everything down...next time, same thing.
I searched Microsoft but haven't found a good fix yet.
Mozilla might be the fix..thanks for your info, Candy.

Good Morning, I should be getting dressed and get something to eat. the family will be over soon to all pile in cars and head for the mountains to cut Christmas trees. Gary(son) has made the chili and cornbread and there are plenty of pies for later. Shari is bringing hot chocolate and by the temp of this house we will need it. Somebody remind me to bring in my orchids. Boy its cold. they wont make it.

Well, last night I uninstalled IExplorer 7...must leave the original Explorer 6...and then I downloaded Mozilla Firefox.
I'm just now trying to get used to it...wish me well.
It also has tabs at the top like Explorer 7, but things are set up and work somewhat differently. However, it hasn't crashed yet, and I've been on for more than half an hour.
How's your day going? It's turned up a mini-Santa Ana winds day...temp won't get as high, but the winds are significant, and I saw a report of one fire above Malibu already.
Let's see if there's any difference in the way I sign onto the blog now....

I don't think the double entry of the password is due to anyone's individual system. I think it's related to when we would lose the first comment of the session not long ago...yahoo changed something just enough so that we lose the password instead of the comment...better, but not as good as when we didn't lose either.
Mozilla hasn't crashed yet, and I had two similar video sites on at the same time, which usually my Explorer wouldn't tolerate.
I'm still having some troubles getting used to the Firefox, but it has some advantages already.

No Wanda, I was at Ruby Tuesdays. Glad I didn't miss the end of the game. Wish they would have showed it tho. Would love to see our local boy Nate play. Was disappointed I didn't see it but don't feel so bad now. Joey went to Morgantown but I doubt they got in to the game. But I am sure they are celebrating now. LOL
Wanda-Did Gene get a deer? My little cousin hit one with her new car. Messed it up pretty good. Hood, bumper, mirror, door. That was in DE, Wednesday night but they never found the deer. Hunting season started up there Monday too. Used to be the week after Thanksgiving but they have so many deer now they have a 2 week season too.
Jill...no deer. Gene did shoot at one that was in the woods in back of our house. It jumped the fence and Gene went looking for it and ran into a neighbor who accused him of shooting at his house (not true). He called the police and 2 deputys came down and were ready to arrest him until they heard his side of the story. It was a very nasty scene.

Poor Gene. There was an 8 point killed not too far from you. One of the police officers wives killed it the first day. He didn't get any as of Wednesday. Maybe Gene should consider DE next year. LOL Sara was less than a mile from home when she hit it.
