Absolutely. I'm not a Non-smoking advocate - but being around it too much at work does give me a nose bleed the next day. Especially if I'm working and breathing it in more. It happened last Saturday - hmm may have been at the onset of this dang cold.

Had my nose in this morning's newspaper but I see that our visitor still lingers in the nest.

Lisa BW placed Bob's picture of the immature golden eagle on her page. I wonder if Bob had returned to Pickering Creek to get anymore sightings of the golden eagle?
Megan saw first visit at 6:48 and departure at 6:54. Then Dana spotted the return at 8:13 and he has been there ever since.
OK, so not quite 2 1/2 hours, but a long visit nonetheless.
Jo - Bob went back to Pickering Creek and said it was a bust!

Morning Glo what is weather like up your way? Did you see any eagles when you walked down to the water the other day?
I think that Belle is off looking for furnishings and it is Libs job to make sure that nothing already in the nest gets moved before, she gets back.
No eagles yet Dana. I didn't walk though. It is a 5 min drive. I amy head down there for a little while this afternnon. definitely time to be on the lookout. Its 40 here today.
OK, the whiteout effect is finally gone!
Seeing Lib and Belle in the nest so much, makes me wonder how busy the eagles at BW are.

VERY NICE LONG VISIT
Seeing Lib guarding the nest reminds me of when we used to sell antiques and collectibles. We would go to auctions and when we won the bid on a long row of boxes, Gene would stand by the boxes guarding them from "would be vultures" while I went ahead and bid on other items I was interested in.
Anyone get Maine up yet? I've tried but not coming up hummmm

Good Morning all. Its cold...... Its wet and I had to turn on the heater for the first time. The fog rolled in last night and hasnt burned off yet. The trees are dripping. I guess our winter is here. I have been watching the food net for new ideas for Thanksgiving. There will be 23 so far for dinner. Like my papa used to say "We will just put some more water in the pea soup There will be plenty for all."

Jim if I had my way I would head south right after New Years.I am really a sissy. Dana cooking isnt a problem for me . I enjoy it. The more the better. Now the cleaning up is another story. The china has to be washed by hand and so the kids are old enough to do it now which helps. Since they are grown I cook, they clean. . Morning Norma.A big pot of hot soup is my thing for today. I have allot of cleaning to do. I have to baby proof every room.

GOOD MORNING ALL IT IS 53° here in sunny DC...I turn my chimes off at night, and have been busy this a.m., will turn them on now in case there are anymore visits, which as the days go by will surely increase. Anne I saw that Paula show last night, between the Food Network and HGTV, will not miss the fact that the writers are on strike, unless it affects those stations...will not be hosting Thanksgiving or Christmas, but need to find things to take, and that is the fun part, I like trying out new recipes.
I almost always visit a relative for the Holidays, thank God. They all cook a lot better than me.
I have learned to cook some simpler stuff over the years ... not much of a cook, but a very interested "eater."

what a cutie-pie, according to the panda cub development chart on the NZ site, she should be running behind Mom around 5 months....Mei Xiang carried Tai around in her mouth for weeks, then when he got to heavy, used to drag him around using her mouth til she got him where she wanted him.
Well, Jo, that's OK. At least we know that Mom is taking her in and out and that she isn't going out on her own. YET!!
Hey Everybody. I think I am totally back on line but time will tell. Between working and Christmas shopping barely had time to sign on to check email. Then when I would try to get on here I got booted. Gave up for a while. I lost all my favorites and when I saved them the last couple of times they were eaten by the cyber monster.
If I don't get back on before leaving everybody have a Happy Thanksgiving and stay safe.

No Wand I am still here. Computer crashed 2 weeks ago which wasn 't so bad but getting back on here proved to be harder than uninstalling and reinstalling everything else. I would type and enter and get booted. Plus all my favorites kept disappearing and I was too busy to try to look everything up again. But I think everything is okay. Does Gene leave today or tomorrow for the wild?

Tai does what he usually does, finds a nice piece of bamboo, walks up on the rocks and turns his back to the visitors, so everyone gets a nice pic of his back.
JILL, Gene left Wednesday to open up camp for the other guys. My Son-In-Law (our) is with him now. Called yesterday and said there were 4 inches of snow. S-I-L said it was snowing so badly that he couldn't see to drive.

Wanda, about a month ago during one of my shifts, someone asked me if they could take a pic with flash, and there are no restrictions, so I always say yes, then one day he was inside eating something and a flash went off and looked like it really scared him, he jumped up, ran, then fell down because he was running so fast and hid behind the rocks. Reported to the keepers and those in charge, so it was probably a one time thing. I rarely see the gorillas when I am there, but there is a man the comes to see them and reads to them and they love it. OK, know this is too long, but on the zoo gorilla page there is certain etiquette when you visit the gorillas, interesting reading.
Jill, we really missed you, glad you are back on with us. Everyone on this blog ads something special to our conversations and when we don't hear from them for a while, it just isn't the same.

Dana, I order my suits. I sell three different styles.
I remember of course daughter was much younger; age 5. Remember out at Berkeley Plaza they had a McCroys. Well they had this small cabin on wheels. Santa House and I volunteered to snap pictures for Santa. Kids were great and that Santa that year really looked like Santa Claus.
How do you suppose that deer got that far out in the Bay without drowning and wonder why he was out there. You would think it would have been on the news.
