Is everything okay in BW nest? Looks like the adult is trying to bury the eaglets!I know all you experts have more time to watch than I do, at work. Good morning, and Hi to Steve!
Hello Everyone! Don't you want to talk to me? I didn't mean to be rude. Come out, come out, whereever you are.
I was thinking the same thing. The eaglet on the right hasn't moved much. I'm getting worried.
Good morning Sunny. I know when they were incubating the eggs, one would try to put grass on the other's back. Don't know why they do that but it was pretty cute. Still watching Liberty and Belle and our precious three little eggs. Hoping for a hatchling soon!Hope everybody has a good day. Feeling kind of under the weather myself. Have bronchitis and it does not feel too good!!
Okay, now you have me worrying and watching closely.
I can see 3 heads in VA I think this morning
Sorry. I didn't mean to make you worry. I haven't seen the eaglet lift it's head at all, unless it's just really tired.
Still no movement that I can see.
What will the parents do if it dies?
Now we can't see anything at all.
I don't know what happens if one dies but I am praying it is just sleeping. More will be revealed.
It looks like the one on the right was just peeking out from under the adult. ???
I always worry when they're sleeping! They always just flop down at the most awkward positions and angles. Mama's probably just trying to keep them cozy.
It looks okay now, don't ya think?
Yay! All looks well!
Oh Thank God! Sorry I made everybody worry. I feel much better now.
Oh my, I forgot about the worrying aspect of this endeavor.
Serena, being an Eaglet Momster is very worrisome work! Just part of the job.
I was trying to sign in and missed it. Everybody is okay then right?
Thanks for the new thread, Steven. Thanks for the heads up, CamsGrammy. Morning, everyone.
Now I don't see #2 at all! Maybe under the parent?
Haven't read all of this blog, but started scanning. The chicks in BW are fine. They have had breakfast (2 fish and a duck), and numerous snacks. Think parent may be trying to cover them in grass and corn because they are getting too big to fit under the parents while sleeping now. When I first logged on this morning a little after 4, both were partially out from under the parent. Think they may be getting ready for the bad weather we're supposed to be getting. Both chicks did eat this morning, so hopefully, they will be fine.
Sunny, I suppose it is, as well as part of my worrysome nature about everything else in my life. LOL!
well, that little stinker! He's hiding under the grass!
Okay, I am going to quit worrying now. They are fine. One was hid under the grass. I think last year we had Spunky dead a few times. Getting back on track now . . .
Lib and Belle in our nest!
Sure would like to see a Hatchling in OUR nest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad to hear that VA 3rd chick has finally escaped from that shell,,,,it was cracking yesterday afternoon,..
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE Have a good eagle, falcon, osprey, panda watching kind of day> Hello to all new-comers:)!
And thanks, Suzanne for the early morning report. Can you tell I'm not getting much work done at work today. Last year the BW eaglets were past this stage when I discovered them. I don't know how you guys keep track of so many nests.
Star in KENT nest.
Remember too it is probably 5-10 degrees cooler at BW than here because of the water. And if the wind is blowing off the water it will be even cooler. Momma just trying to keep the little buggers warm. But she doesn't have to scare us. LOL
LOL, did ya'll see the update on the osprey page? ;)
OK, sharon, so did you see a switch? Looks like Belle on the nest to me
Yes, Paula, I saw that update this morning at BW osprey. Definitely wasting no time! :):):)
Maybe it will be Star's day to lay an egg!
Dang, Star's up, no egg. Practicing again!
Pratice makes perfect, Suz. Just checked Shenadoah falcon site, egg is gone!:(
I wonder if our eggs will take longer to hatch this year than last because of the colder weather?
Mits, what do you mean, GONE???? It fell over the cliff??? What do they say?
I think that is possible, Suz, I sent you the quad pic, I don't see it unless Mom rolled it to the back of the ledge somewhere.
opsprey inspecting the nest again.
Good Morning Lots of Momster feelings on here this morning! Glad we have each other! Welcome all you newbys It is great to have you on board to share in these awesome events.Welcome back Sunny!
Traveling to Hagerstown for lunch. Keep an eagle eye on our nest - Can't be much longer before our 1st chickhatches.

Tai-Shan was just wonderful, Norma:).
Egg turning, our nest. The chicks have broken out of the grass blankets! Osprey still hanging around, there have been several there this morning, male and female. Guess the mates haven't been established yet, nor has this nest been spoken for yet.
Weird lines on our cam:(
I'll put the pictures up...ya'll keep your eyes posted...
BUTA BUTA is asleep on the "Head Board"----CLICK on---If you read the Wed. UPDATE---You can hear LUN LUN BLEAT----COOL!---The little BEAUTY hasn't started to bleat---Didn't know PANDAS bleat!!!
SUZANNE---Those OSPREYS aren't "wasting any time" as LISA says----
Norma, they bleat, bark, growl, you can hear them on the National Zoo cam.
Paula, did you see a chick at our nest??
Lines are gone now, whew....not gonna be the greatest weather for eaglets to hatch!
PIctures are up.
Too bad Steven isn't at NCTC today...he could log on and tell us what they see on the live feed.
NO, in the process of hatching....look at the pictures, not like the ones from yesterday
They have LIVE-FEED at NCTC??? Geez maybe I will pack a lunch and go up there.
Yep, egg looks different than yesterday for sure.
Must be why our eagle is sitting high over the nest bowl.
MITS---I have heard the PANDAS bark & growl---Didn't know about the bleating----They are so interesting & ADORABLE!
When I was at NCTC a couple of weeks ago, they did not have the live feed in the room where they had it last year. I was very disappointed. Maybe it's back now. I'll check it out next week.
Sunny, maybe it is a secret room:).
Hmmm, they had the live feed earlier at the campus. Wonder what's up with that?
Sent an e-mail to NPS about missing egg at Shendadoah.
Suz, do you have any pictures of the eggs from this morning? Anyone?
Was there 2? I saw one yesterday, but that was first time I looked at it.Egg checking our nest
Belle's not gonna let us see this time
egg check our nest again
That was a quick check
Sherperdstown weather todays high..65°. tomorrows high 35°!
DO you all still have LIVE FEED?---I don't---
Both BW cams frozen
Been on other computer, just read back blogs. Paula, there are still 3 eggs in the nest. I sent pics to Jo to post on Momsters from this morning. No hatchling yet. Belle was acting funny this morning, but then she got up and turned all 3 eggs. Jo will post pics later today, I'm sure.
No, Norma. No live feed. We were talking as to whether NCTC had the live feed on in the building.
Dang, both BW cams are not updating!
I do keep checking it faithfully should it all of a sudden come on!
I am in their weather area---Rain later in day ----may turn to SNOW & rain this evening---in 30's tonight----
2 our nest
Both in our nest, 2 eggs showing, third egg is blocked by eagle butt.
All 3 eggs showing!
Well now it doesn't look like an egg hatching at all!
Think this is now Liberty, there was a switch, and he is turning all 3 eggs.
I see 3 eggs at our nest, going to look at pics I took.
SORRY----WEATHER will turn to SNOW & freezing rain --TOMORROW---Will be in 30th this evening---If I had LIVE feed---I could keep my facts straight!! ho! ho!---
The CO EAGLE looks like she has been in a bad storm---
Is it just me.. or does it look like there's food in the lower right hand area of the nest??I'm wondering if Mom and Dad aren't preparing for a hatching if it is.
Looks like food to me, Jennifer:).
There is a March 12th update from Lynda at FLA. site. She still is holding out some hope.
Just reviewed GLO'S pics of our nest this time last year---BEAUTIFUL---
2 parents at VA
KENT--MT NEST & TREE
NE EAGLE turned EGGS--
Sure be glad when Lisa gets back!Sure be glad when our cam stops messing up every other refresh!
Sure would be, Suzanne:). Congrats on your WAX:)
Aw thanks Norma I am glad to know some take time to go back and look. No one knew I was even doing that at this time last year. I was saving it as a surprise for when I knew were were all gonna have to learn how to let go together :). First entry to the guest Book actually was in June...But in our hearts we all know when the first entry was.
Both eagles still at VA. look warm.
Finally gave us another view in PA. Now you can see the bar that hangs over the edge. Falcon on the bar.BW, both still down.Liberty still sitting on 3 eggs.
I like that the falcon cam in PA, has Real Player and Windows to view their nest.
ME EAGLE---Looks foggy & cold!---No color---
Sent a note to NCTC, to see if they can clear up the 30 second cam. I'll let you know if they respond:).
Temp in Norfolk is 76° for the eagles.
Time for me to hit the road. Hopefully, I'll be back tomorrow. If we get the snow and ice they're calling for, not even gonna try it. PA is under a winter storm warning from sometime tomorrow until 6AM Sat. Dang, supposed to get my hair cut Sat. That probably won't happen. Oh well, they'res always another day!All have a great eagle, falcon, osprey day. Hope the BW cams come back pretty soon. Sure be glad when Lisa gets back! Hope all the new babies stay warm and cozy during this next (hopefully LAST) storm that's coming.Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
See you, Suzanne.
Cams still stuck at BW.
HEY!---What's TAI doing?----Looks like he might have been PRAYING & fell asleep!----
Norma, Tai is eating on Cam # 2, don't know who that is sleeping over the tree branch, on cam #1?
Mei and Tian are roaming around on Cam #1 now.
Both at our nest/
2 our nest again
Aw darn - 3 very distinct eggs in our nest!
But I don't think she turned all of them
BW eaglets have been passed out for two hours (ha! Ha!) They should be well rested by now. :-(
Mits, I noticed that last night about the Falcon site in PA, the choice of WMP or Real player. I brought it up in RP last night...could hear birds and cars and everything...pretty neat.
Hey Sunny, that worked! BW Eagle cam is updating now!
VA chicks feeding but they need to adjust the camBW chicks are sleeping
Eagle on KENT branch.
Thanks for the cam adjustment, VA can see the chicks much better now
Awww, 2 oldest chicks peeking out from Mama in VA,,,looks really cute!
Got a glimse of all 3 chicks peeking out from under eagle at VA.
Back in a couple of hours...
Be still my heart, do you remember when we thought our little Spunkster was dead. Can we handle all these emotions again? Come on hatchlings. I have tried for two hours to get in. Hope this makes it, and if not, Mits, Glo ???? donna
On the other hand, with the weather we're supposed to be getting, maybe it's easier to protect an egg than an eaglet. We don't know when these eggs were laid, but I didn't think they were this far behind the BW eggs.
mmmm, EGG, turning at our nest.
Keep an eye on our nest????
Mauley, I usually just kick it know, works better than a noodle.
Looks like some storms headed towards Sheperdstown.
Move out of the way eagle.
It can be a pain when it wants to. It told me that I couldn't post because it was being checked for viruses, can you believe that??? Whose husband is it that say, What will be will be. I forget. Must be a senior moment. love mauley
Donna, its my hubby...."IT IS WHAT IT IS!":)
It is still trying to keep me out. It said that I couldn't post because it was scanning for viruses. Can you believe that. Whose husband is it that says, What will be will be. I can't remember It must be a senior moment. This blog is making me mad. Get it Mits. I will try one more time.
BW Eaglets seem to get bigger each time I look at them---VIRGINIA LADY'S nest is a MESS---Food everywhere---Adorable little heads peek out every now & then---I get frustrated when we can't see ours!
Hope Jo gets home before the storms hit.
It told me I couldn't post and then it let me. Go figure. I just need to see one of our eggs hatch. Must be causing me to be impatient. You must forgive me.n Yes, that's it Mits. It is what it is. I love it. Have even stolen it from your hubby to use. I mean er um borrowed it. donna
Mauley, be my guest. Whenever I get upset about something in life, he quotes that to me, and, I just know he is right and things are in a Higher Power looking over us:).
MT NESTS & TREE LIMBS--KENT---Every time I think they are going to start nesting----They both take off---
LOL, Norma, they are teasing us
ME EAGLE is now in living COLOR---
I'm home... Haven't read any comments except saw that I needed to get home before the storm hits. Had a little rain coming down the hgwy. So windy.Nasty storm last night around midnight - the lightning was coming in all directions.... Guess there isn't a chick in WV yet.. I'll go read comments & check out some cams. Mits did you tell Norma that Tai stared at you last night?
BOTH EAGLES OUR NEST
The ATLANTA crowd does nothing but sleep---Both of them---Wish we could see BUTA BUTA outside----She would go wild--ho!
MITS---I bet the "Little Prince" recognized you---COOL!!---What a long day it is without our EAGLES!!
NORMA, I was sitting there last night in the panda house after it was locked, in front of Tai's den, And he walked by the window 3 times and looked at me in the eyes, I think he thought I was a trainer with more treats, he is one beautiful panda bear, just like his Mom and Dad. Glad you are home Jo.
Still 3 eggs.
Both Lib & Belle in our nest & all 3 eggs in a row in sight!!!
Belle eating and Lib turning eggs.
Placing morning pic from Suz on the Momster site. BRB
Looks like Dark clouds over the nest, maybe that's why Bell came back, before the storm.
Hold onto your nest Belle and Lib, storm is almost there.
It looks like Lisa might be back at BW. THere's an update, but it's not signed by her, so can't say for sure.
Poor Lib, she literally pushed him out of the nest.
Rain must be starting she is tenting.
30 mph winds with this storm.
Lisa should be gone until Saturday. I hope she didn't get her trip short..She certainly deserved a breakDoes such fabulous work!!
What a TENT. Not raining yet here in the valley = Sunny,is it raining up there yet?I went to Burhan Station for lunch and then we all went out to Penn.Ave to the Pennsylvania Dutch Market...YUMMY YUMMY I got my ShoFly Pie!Nilla always wanted to go there - I hope she has made it - I am certainly going back again and again!
I need to go check out emails.
Well, it opens up, vacation over catching up on photos, you think they called her back because of sticking cams?
Read your comment Mits. I guess she is back! Bet the return of the osprey helped make up her mind on a return date! Beautiful one on BW osprey now.
hrmm.. a little one is out from under whoever is on the nest in VA. I'm hoping that they are just asleep.
It's raining pretty hard in Hagerstown. Started about 20-30 minutes ago. Poor Belle!
Jo, Don't you just love the Pa Dutch Market? Yumm yumm....
On radar it looks like the heaviest of the rain has passed the nest:).
JENNIFER---I agree---VA LADY'S little "FUZZ BALLS" seem to pop out to eat every few minutes---I don't see how she gets any rest---Aren't they ADORABLE!!
Yes, Sunny! First time that I was there was today. I'll be back for sure.......... You still at your same job as last year?Jennifer - would you tell us where you are located? (If you want - promise not come visit without calling first lol)
I found lots more pics waiting for me on my emails - Over to place more in the album on Momsters.Mits - glad you found out about that falcon egg. I sure hope they lay more. Well Mits - better the egg then a baby falconett (as Sharon called them)
Temp here in Bethesda, MD has gone from 76° to 57° in the last hour, no rain yet, but getting breezy.
I see our time refreshing, but I'm not seeing Belle changing positions.
OK, now I finally see moment, took it down and then brought it back up
The male osprey is on the nest at BWAll white tummie
Love those osprey:).
BW chicks by themselves.
EAGLE AT KENT.
Where is the PA Dutch Market? What is it close too? I want to go there but nobody seems to be able to tell me how to get there. Hear the food is wonderful.
Looks like Belle is tenting away. It is pouring here in Frederick. Sounds like there hasn't been much going on this afternoon?
LOL, she really looks like a big, bloated eagle!
Jill, the Market is in Long Meadow Shopping Center in the north end of Hagerstown. Are you familiar with H-town? I'm leaving work right now. I'll check back in later.
There is an Amish Market that is now in the LOng Meadow Shopping Center in Hagerstown. I don't know if that's the one they are talking about or not.
Could be the nasty weather that is forecast that made Lisa cut her vacation short. Hopefully, she'll just take the time off at home.
Eagle in Maine keeps calling out, think it needs a break.
Jill, Sunny and Paula are speaking of the Pennsylvania Dutch Market on Pennsylvania Ave in Hagerstown MD where I went today. The original Long Meadow Shopping Center is where it is located (at the far end) http://www.padutchmarket.com/ indexh.htmlThere you go, Jill. Just googledAll you need to know and more!
Almost dinner time in this home.BBL early evening...............
Got it. Just was confused when somebody said The Dutch Market was on PA Avenue or I misread. I sort of know where it is. Think I can find it. Thanks for the help
You can see the oldest chick in VA pecking on the younger ones.
eagle all gone at KENT ..no egg
New update on Hampton Road eagle page, and a really cute picture, when I looked at the birds in the nest, I thought it was familiar, gulls:(
Heading home, TTUL!
Belle is going to want a break soon.
Looks like Mom is throwing the dead seagull out of the nest at VA.
VA chicks by themselves.
Mom is preparing fish for dinner at VA.
I'm in NC.. so quite a ways from the nest. =)
Hi Jill, one more clarification on the location of the PA Dutch Market. It's on North Potomac Street, not Pennsylvania Ave. They're both in the north end, and often confused. Are you Scrapbook Jill? If so, I've probably met you!
Both eagles at VA, Dad is eating leftover gull
Thanks Sunny. I knew it was on the north end near Long Meadow but could never get good directions. Yes I am Scrapbook Jill.
