Thank Steve, and Thanks Helen for the call over.

Nice wreath Paula.

Guess I better shake rattle and roll and get ready to head across the river. (Red Byrd)
Maybe I will see an Eagle or two.
At least, I will see a Momster or two ! Or three or four...wish it could be more ☺

xo Prayers that the day has some good things for everyone.

Mema Jo said...

Found you two! I have my shoes on and will be leaving shortly. Afterwards Alexis will be coming up. Tomorrow is when her dad has the gallbladder surgery at 3:00. I told him I would feed him a big meal this evening.

I'll be back in a few hours.

Thanks for the fresh new thread!

Good afternoon everyone. I am actually getting some work to do today! YAY!

Lolly said...

Great morning! First Larry, my brother, called to check on Jack. And right now just received a call from, Sharon, my sister! Yea! Sharon is older by four years and Larry is 16 months younger. I am the middle child! Yes, I have the middle child syndrome. lol

Have not eaten any breakfast and it is almost noon!

Have a great luncheon. This will be so good for Dana. (((Hugs))) all around!

Gotta go eat! BBL

ceil said...

Lolly I am the middle child also.
The other day you said how can two people mess up a house so much. If you find out let me know. Seems I clean and clean and looks like a herd of buffalo go through here.

Mits said...

I was much better when I had a child and a dog living here about keeping things straight, and doing laundry.....don't know how 2 people can generate so much laundry:(...what's the secret Lolly, let us know:)

i don't know if you have read Mason's blog lately. There's a new upbeat entry, AND there's a beautiful, new smiley picture ... with Mason beaming at you.

ceil said...

Jim someone mentioned it yesterday but I have not had time to read it.
Thanks will look now

Mits said...

Jo put it on the blog yesterday or day before, not sure when, but have seen it

ceil said...

Just read it. Wish him well. They mentione Ronald McDonald house in Baltimore. It is fantastic for families. MM gave them lots of books and things when she moved. They were so appreciative.BBL Putting up the nativity scene Hope I don't cuss when the lights don't go right.

Mits said...

rofl....better keep not be a potty mouth when you are doing that, Ceil:)

Lolly said...

No secret to it....we just keep wearing clothes and want them clean. lol I hate winter laundry as jeans and sweatshirts take up so much more room than shorts and tees.

And, I guess because we are home all the time we have more time to mess up. Like right now, I have magazines, catalogs and recipes scattered on the table by my chair. If we worked, we would not be here to mess up, so back to work.....NOT!

Guess the girls are presently enjoying lunch together. Who went?

Jack and I are going to run out and take care of some errands. Yep, Jack is going to venture out. Hurrah!

BBL

Lolly said...

Ceil! Surely you are never a potty mouth! Especially not setting up the nativity set.

Judie said...

Hi, quick visit before the drugs kick in.

Paula, really like the twinkly wreath but glad the snowman finally got some relief.

Dana, hugs to you. Enjoy today.

Shirley, APA publication guidelines change occasionally. However, for papers that are intended for publication, an abstract is mandatory. Abstracts for school/college assignments may be flexible depending on the instructor's preference for compliance. Having to distill/condense is a good exercise in critical thinking and economy of words. I think one should be required.

Jo, have fun with Alexis and a yummy dinner tonight. Last Thursday, I hadn't eaten all day when I was admitted and ended up being 36 hours without food/water before surgery. Wish you had been here to cook me dinner! Prayers for successful surgery and speedy recovery!

Need to rest.

Mits said...

let's just say Lolly, hope those lights work...have fun

Mits said...

Judie, hope the drugs work:)

stronghunter said...

Judie, good point about having to distill requiring critical thinking. I am collaborating with the librarian so that we can document their research papers both ways(MLA and APA)using Noodlebib. These are the kids who get college credit, so I try to push them further. They should be able to write an abstract.

stronghunter said...

So good to see you back on here, Judie!

Hope GG is doing better this morning--more prayers for her, and for Wanda!
Dana, wish I could be there to give you a hug in person! This one will have to do: ((((HUGE HUG))))!!! Will be thinking about you, and the others! Hope your legs are doing better today, too. More prayers, for sure!
Have been watching the turkeys at USeeWildlife. Really like that web cam!
Well, gotta run. Will check back later! Have a good morning/afternoon, everyone! Love you guys!

I am back from the Red Byrd and all of us (Lynn, Dana, Janet Aka Nilla, Margy, Wanda, Chrissy -Lynn's daughter and myself) had a very enjoyable time.
It was good for Dana the rest of us to be together. Mostly sandwiches, some soup and french fries were ordered. And then we had to order coffee and dessert! Chocolate cake with peanut butter icing - cheese cake - and coconut cream pie - all for you Paula!
Margy and Wanda should have pics to post shortly. There was a lot of laughter - which makes for a long life!
My feet are going up for half hour before Alexis gets here!

stronghunter said...

So good that you were able to get together and laugh. Laughter does a lot to take pain away.

Will be looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Have PT at 6:00 tonight, but do not plan to hang around here until it is time to go.

BBL.

stronghunter said...

Ohhh, those desserts sound wonderful. I have been craving desserts recently.

Anxiously waiting to hear some good news from Wanda!!

Guess what I did??? I found a dog on a local adoption site that I was MAYBE interested in meeting. I filled out the SEVEN PAGE ADOPTION QUESTIONAIRE and then when I got back to the site, the dog had been removed!!

Mema Jo said...

Wanda was there - GG was home and was her old self! Brewing coffee and fixing something to eat!

Lynne - keep looking! Are you looking for any particular kind of dog...or just you'll know it when you see it? I'm not sure I'll ever be without a dog...the love I have for them, and the devotion and love you get in return is just too great to be without.

I am full and filled with laughter and love. I can't say how wonderful the outing was. I've been feeling I shouldn't be having fun with my wonderful husband jus passing. Part of OUR SPECIAL EAGLE GROUP has showed me it is ok and it sure felt good. I Thank God for this Eagle blog and you all being here for one another.

Missed the eagles the doggies was "hungry!" lol

wvgal_dana said...

They had the most beautiful Christmas tree at the resturant. Decorated with different Red Birds and even on the bulbs changing on tree was red birds. So pretty ( :

Lolly said...

Of course it is okay, Dana. Bless your heart! Everyone know how much you loved Ed. Everyone knows how much you are missing him, but you need to go on. You need to love and laugh.

Judie said...

Shame? Nope, no shame to my game! Could try to blame the drugs but ... nope, no shame! Fruitcake cookies are next.

Mits said...

Judie, you just went thru surgery, you deserve those extra treats:)

Lynne2 said...

Judie, I'll be making Chocolate Chip cookies this weekend.... ;)

Wanda, such good news about GG!!!!! I'm so happy!!!

We probably want a small dog now. Thinking it will be easier as we age and become decrepit to handle a smaller dog. Also easier to pack up and travel with a smaller dog. The dog I looked at was a "puggle" and female, spayed, 6 years old and very friendly, moderately active, gets along well with other dogs, kids and cats. And is housebroken. Anyway, it appears she has been adopted since she was gone from the website.
Having decided that MAYBE we will get another dog, smaller....sure as I'm sittin' here some BIG dog will show up on our property needing a home!

Lynne2 said...

Looks like everyone had a good time at lunch today! You are loved, Dana, for sure! I know it's not easy for you right now.

hedgie said...

Trying for the 3rd or 4th time to post. Blogger cop keeps freezing my puter.....not making me happy, for sure.
We had a fun get together, and everyone had a good time!! Only one problem....it was AYCE fried chicken day and the fryer was going big-time----we are all drenched in grease smell. TG my coat is machine washable; hope everyone elses' is to!!
Thanks for compliments for my girl! She is indeed lovely, but I give that credit to the Lord, not me!! Yep, she DOES have dimples!!!

hedgie said...

Wow...it worked--finally!
Lynne, is the surgery still on for Friday??
I mentioned this AM about Train being on CSI: NY tonight. DC Ch. 9 not carrying show---having a special on. It will be on Baltimore CBS station; fortunately, on my DirecTV, I can get the west coast stations, so will catch it 3 hrs. later!
JO: Criminal Minds is new tonight, too!

hedgie said...

Judie, hope Frank is feeding you well!! Do you have school tomorrow??

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Prayer request - We have a very good friend whose son died Sunday of an unintentional overdose. His wife (son's mother) is on chemotherapy for cancer and battling that really hard. Please pray for this family. So hard to deal with!

Judie - I will certainly share some cheesecake with you.

Sharon - prayers for your friends family. What a shame.

Lynne- the right dog will come along...

paula eagleholic said...

Dana - It's OK to laugh. It's good for the soul.

paula eagleholic said...

Nice pictures, Margy. Everyone looks wonderful!

And I saw your "I love you" sign!

hedgie said...

Sharon, prayers for the family....so difficult to deal with....what a tragedy.

Judie said...

Sharon, prayers for your friend's family. Such a tragedy for all.

Lynne, I LOVE chocolate chip cookies. I'll snatch some of those after I sneak away with the fruitcake cookies which followed the cheesecake (thanks, Paula) which followed the M&Ms.

Frank would feed me but truthfully I have no appetite. Mostly water and some crackers and drugs.

I do have school tomorrow. Final exam in the morning, police at 5:30.

Hope TRAIN fans see CSI and Jo can watch Criminal Minds.

Turning my light off early but leaving the night light on for everyone else. Andy, please set the alarm for us.

Good night everyone. Sweet dreams.

magpie said...

Dear Sharon,
...a tragedy for your friend and his family. Thank you for sharing the prayer needs with us
xo

magpie said...

Just missed you Judie...good night and sweet dreams back at you...♥

magpie said...

Paula
funny thing about the I Love You sign, it was a Peace Sign just before Christie snapped the picture, then I changed it but wassn't sure I got it right. We had a good laugh wondering if I just "said" something wrong in sign language ♥

Lynne2 said...

Sharon, prayers for your friend's family...that's awful.

Lynn, surgery is still on for Friday at 7:30am! My cough is subsiding, no fever. Think I'll be just fine!

hedgie said...

Okay, Margy, pics finally all loaded! Good job! Haven't transferred mine yet to PC...maybe tomorrow!

magpie said...

Good Lynn, I'm happy....

Lynne2 - I was hoping there would be some ISS to go with these clear skies but nothing anytime soon on the horizon...
Baby Crescent Moon will appear in the West/South West, maybe Thursday night? or Friday .
I surely have you in my prayers now, and for Friday.

xo TFN got to clean house !

paula eagleholic said...

Deet at snowmancam. You can barely see him...ok moved some now, eating from the feeder

Mema Jo said...

Alexis has gone home -Ate one of Pappy's Klondike bars. Robert's surgery has been changed to an earlier time... report at 9:50 and surgery at 11:50. Gives him a better chance of recovering well before being sent home.

Criminal Minds it is tonight. Judie I wish you could also watch it.

Sharon I'll be praying for your friend to have strength and faith. I pray he will be getting an immense amount of support from the group! If there is anything I could do other then offer up prayers for him & his wife - let me know.

Mema Jo said...

BBL TV SHOW

paula eagleholic said...

Jo - did you say Alexis was working on a word document? What was she doing? Letter to Santa?

Lynne2 said...

Prayers for Robert's surgery Jo....look forward to hearing that everything went well!

Thanks Margy....this darn weather....clear as a bell and no flyovers! THIS would have been a good night for the meteors!

hedgie said...

Good night malnourished Judie!! You gotta eat, girl!! Water and crackers won't help with healing!!!
Lynne, glad you are feeling better, and that schedule is intact. I hope that Steve is going to help you bake those choco-chips over the weekend!

Lynne2 said...

Steve will be in charge of keeping me from eating the cookie dough!

stronghunter said...

Lordy, things are flying all over the place--M&M's, fruitcake cookies, and cheesecake flying through the air towards Judie's house. Bring out a net, Frank and Darth.

We had bacon pasta tonight. Excellent! I had Chardonnay and Will had some kind of beer. I feel really full, and cannot stay awake much longer.

Funny thing about my juniors today. I had them working on the project on Of Mice and Men. I had planned for them to spend most of today finishing the projects up during class time, but they wanted to take them home. Today, one came in and said, "Mrs. Phillips, I'm sorry. I could not help myself. I could not stop working on the project until I finished it." Strange things do happen.

Thank goodness, I had a back-up plan. Another one did say that the project was actually harder than a test. Yep. If they really went through the necessary thought process, that is probably true.

hedgie said...

Just found eagle feet on the floor....a bead eagle lost his feet...oh no!! Will have to try some epoxy.

Megan, if you have time to check in---how is your SIL??

Mema Jo said...

Paula she says I want to type! So I open up word and let her go at it.
She was changing colors, font size and she knows more then what I thought.
Then she says to me Can I Have Your
Password? I want to do an email.
That's when I said stick to the word doc! She know how to close down programs and she knows the word Cancel!
There is no stopping Alexis!

Mema Jo said...

Are we suppose to be watching
CSI:NY for train?

Mema Jo said...

Seat belt probably broke the eagle's foot!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Is everybody watching CSI:NY? Remember my Pat and Train is going to be on there!

stronghunter said...

Yeah, Jo, keep that password to yourself. I won't be giving mine to Hunter.

stronghunter said...

I am half watching CNN, but my mind is not working very well right now.

stronghunter said...

I am half watching CNN, but my mind is not working very well right now.

stronghunter said...

Really not working very well. Sorry.

magpie said...

Adorable Alexis Stories, Jo.

Will be keeping Robert in my prayers....I see that the surgery as been moved up.

James like to type too, large fonts, big red letters, and likes to try to hide words in a bunch of gibberish

Enjoyed the Teacher Tales Shirley,
and good to catch up on everyone's tidbits here today, friends,....

back to the vac, couldn't remember where to find the "on" switch, that's bad !
xo Good Night to any Early Roosters...

hedgie said...

hedgie said...

Well, I'm glad the feet didn't fall off until I was in the house so I found them, Jo....and glad Cinnamon didn't find them and try to chew them!

magpie said...

I should be but I can't right now.
watching for Train that is, playing beat the clock.

Sure was good to hear and see that Dana enjoyed herself today, as did we all. And we about fell over when Wanda announced that GG had returned home and was her old spritely self. ♥ ☺ Talk about a double dose of joy ...

magpie said...

I have some missing feet too, Lynn, and a missing Eagle pin.
Gone forever probably.
Yah, Cinnamon might have crunched up the feet AND some teeth.

It is wireless and should be printing. We will keep working on it tomorrow. Also, having problems with the dern mouse on the other computer. Scream! However, I have been learning how to use this scanner. (Loved my old one that went belly up!) Sob! And, now have a fax as well.

Judie, crackers are yummy, but won't work as a steady diet! I would much prefer M&Ms, myself.
Hope your foot and leg are feeling better! BTW, say hello to Frank/Darth. He did a great job of posting while you were out of it!
Well, better try to get back to sleep. Prayers being said for everyone, and some new situations, too. Sharon, SO sorry to hear of your friend's loss! Prayers for that whole family!!!! What a tragic thing to happen! God bless them.
Say, it's good to see Nilla here!
Hope you come back and visit more often!
Well, the night light is on, the porch light is, too, and the eye scanner is ready to go. Sleep tight, everyone, and will talk to you later this morning. Gotta go back to sleep! G'night! :o]

P.S.~~Thanks, Margy, for the congratulations! More prayers have been answered, for sure! G'night!

Good morning all! Please remember our friend Robert and his family in your prayers today! To bury a child is absolutely the worst possible experience and right here at Christmas time too! They are struggling for understanding, which I fear will not come. Such special people. My heart is truly broken for them!!

Waiting for a visit from those beautiful eagle friends of ours this morning!

Good morning!

Happy to hear that GG is so much better.

Glad to meet you, Nilla. I have seen your posts back before I joined this group.

Prayers for Robert and his family.

Trying to wake up so I can head to Culpeper for the day. Just two days until break.

See you later.

Congrats on the grades, Andy!

Lolly, let me know if you use your fax. I have one, but it is one feature I have never used.

Judie, I hope your exam today is the last one you have to deal with this semester. Mine are coming up in January. For juniors, the SOL (state test) is the big thing.

GOOD MORNING...
It is sooo cold-23° and only going up to 39°. Maybe snow this weekend?
Winter is getting close.

Hi, Sissy, Shirley, and Helen!
Just got Hubby off to work a few minutes ago, and need to take a bit of a nap so I'm not sleep deprived!
Wanted to see if I could catch the eagles' morning appearance, though.
Sissy, haven't been able to get your friend Robert off my mind. What a tragic loss! This time of year, too, and his wife is battling cancer! Praying like mad, because much prayer is needed.
Thanks, Shirley!
The classes I'm taking right now are seeming like a vacation compared to the Anatomy class I had!
The grade is definitely an answer to everyone's prayers for me, though. Many thanks to all of you!
Oh--I'm so sleepy, I almost forgot to mention that more prayers have been answered. I got the forms I needed from the EDD yesterday, and mailed them back. I should be getting an unemployment check within 10 days!!! FINALLY!!! (and not a moment too soon!) Thank the Lord!

"if" and "when" we do get live feed, we still have the dirty spidey web in the way, and the cam angle is tilted...house behind it looks like it is falling off the pic, also there has been no mention of sound with this new live feed???? Just thinking out loud???

Morning, Norma:)

It IS good news--and I think the checks are supposed to be retroactive, back to November sometime. Our checkbook will be VERY grateful!
