yes Wanda, I ponder that in my little brain all the time.....I watch some fantastic cams all the time...even Finland, I know it is not as exciting as live feed with sound, but it is one beautiful site, when the birds visit and so clear.
you know Jesus, was born in a desert, so I'm partial to warm weather at Christmas time...I always loved when hubby had trips to California and Florida at this time of the year.....loved seeing poinsettias as outdoor plantings
SISSY---I will keep your friend ROBERT & his family in my thoughts & prayers-----no!! -- nothing could ever be worse than losing a child!----GOD BLESS!
You make perfect sense, Wanda! You guys are frozen, and we're going to have a few days of sudden summer! Our house is still pretty cold inside, though. Will take a day or two for it to warm up. Hubby and I are going to the Lawrence Welk timeshares tomorrow~~an early Christmas present from my sis-in-law and bro-in-law! They are just north of Escondido, near Temecula. Supposed to be really pretty, and we'll have a full kitchen! Also a 2-sided fireplace between the bed and the sunken bathtub with jacuzzi! Can use a bit of a time-out! Been way too busy lately. Will take the laptop along, and hope for free internet! Promise not to forget the camera!
Have LOTS to accomplish today, though, so better go get a bit more sleep, so I'm not totally dragging my caboose. Have to hunt up an ice chest. You need to take your food with you, because grocery stores are not very close. Dishes, pots & pans, all that kind of stuff is there, but no food. Think we'll take some frozen dinners and canned stuff as much as possible--less trouble. Nice that the place has a full kitchen! Well, off to a nap. Will be back in a couple hours! Have a great day, you guys! :o]
Oh, Norma, we can hardly wait to get there! Will take a bunch of pictures so you can see the place. REALLY nice! With a full kitchen, we may just settle in for a long winter's nap! Oh--there's a barbecue on the patio, too, I think. Well, the SHEETZ are calling my name! BBL....zzzzzzz

No time yet to catch up from last night. Off to give the wannabe adults their final exam. BBL today.
Have a lovely day!
Oh, by the way, Darth has started to complain about the crumbs from the M&Ms, cheesecake, and fruitcake cookies around the computer. My bad! Guess I'll have to sneak the chocolate chips into the closet.
Good Morning Everyone in Eagleland! Not been on 'puter for a couple~~~busy, busy, busy! Was starting cards yesterday & my address labels printed out wrong--bottom line is on the "split"! Will redo them. Saw the Canoe Cam yesterday at work--cool. Gotta get out for Dr. appt. Have a wonderful day ☺ ☺ ☺
Well I 've enjoyed as much wildlife as I can for awhile, got a busy day in store. Going to check Wanda's morning nest visit and shake a leg and get a move on.
Jo I see you rearranged the evening nest visit pictures from last night. Thanks! Enjoy your visit from the Hedgesville gang today !

Oh, that pill on the floor reminds me of the time I dropped a pill on the floor (some prescription pill) and my grandson, Brandon, 2yrs old at the time, picked it up and slapped it in his mouth before I could take it from him. Took him to the doctor and they gave him 2 doses of ipocac and nearly a gallon of milk. He would not throw up. So after what seemed all evening, the doctor let him go home and told me to keep an eye on him. Well, about half way home, he started throwing up! Threw up ALL THE WAY HOME! Poor little thing was so scared:(
bird feeder at USW, must be near where the eagles hang out...you can here them....Lynn that was just AccuWeather's forecast, I can find about 5 different forecasts, just depends which way it is coming.
Ho, ho, ho....Margy-----on Jefferson Co. scanner---in pursuit of a black male wearing no clothing!! Talk about frosting......ahem!!!! Guess they can't accuse him of hiding evidence of anything!
Good Morning Shirley, Mits, Wanda, Andrea, Norma, Paula, Lynn-Hedgie (nice looking daughter very pretty), Loretta, and good morning Jim I'm posting this before it turns to evening lol
Sharon what does your eagle scarf look like? Oh so I can see our Margy wearing it one day to see how pretty it is..
Wanda christmas tree was after the statute of the guy holding his hands out, you then walk into another room (it was straight ahead in the corner to right. Would have been a beautiful picture on here). You probably missed in cause in that room where it is you made a left to enter where we were.
Sharon and Sissy I looked back to see what Andrea was talking about "your loss". Found it. Prayers for that entire family/wife and you both too. So sorry for loss of young man.
Mits no no :( can't take all that snow...Oh Mr.Bill tell me the weather is going to change with only very little snow.
Thanks Margy..prayers for Robert with speedy healing.
I started this when eagles were 1st in nest this AM. Didn't catch all that you all seen but did catch some. Keep getting called away from computer 1st my doggie, the dishes, then wash, then rememebered I have to eat so needed to take blood sample. So I'm sorry this is long.
Good afternoon! Have you all heard me screaming and Jack cursing?
Lots of computer problems. First could not connect up, then mouse problems, now wireless modem problems. My laptop is non functional except for games. Jack has gone to lunch now, but spent the morning talking to "Freddie" in India. lol
So, we got the computer working but not the laptop. Jack says we are going out today. Going to AT&T and getting their all in one deal for TV, Computer, and cell phones and they will send out a techie to to get it all set up and everything working. That just leaves the mouse problem, which he says is not the mouse but the mother board. #&$!#!*#
Shirley, if and when we get things set up we are going to send a fax to SIL and he will send us one as well. THEN you and I can practice. lol
Nice long visit. I type then peek, then type some more.
once on of them from Dell was going to call me back to see how things were going....there was an eartquake over in India, never heard from him...hope he was ok.
Yea! Got rid of that annoying step! Again thank you. Will store those directions away, and hopefully be able to find it if I ever need it again. But, I know where to go if I do need help! Thank you again.
I was just copying and pasting for you, Lolly, then saw Paula beat me to it! I have it in a word file for easy access!! So sorry you are having so much trouble....computers are great until they aren't!!! ROFL, Mits.....wonder if that guy DID survive the quake! Have you ever seens pics of the wires in the cities over there???? Think people must hang themselves if they stick their head out a window!! Did I ever tell you we were in New Delhi (now Mumbai) when i was a toddler???? Dad was an attache to our embassy----horrible place. Mom pregnant and very sick, Is was sick. There's was no cows milk, either. When we came back---early---they made it a hardship tour that families couldn't go on!
We watched the movie Scumdog Millionaire the other night. I have never liked India, but watching that film made me lower my opinion. What an awful place!
Found this message in email from Laurel. Thought I would share it with you for a laugh.
"Did you see the chance of snow on the 26th? Maybe I’ll be stuck at my Mommy’s house, where she will cook me dinner every night and I can drink my Daddy’s wine! HeeHee!"
Evil child!!!!lol I would love to have my daughter and grandchildren here for a snow. We would have FUN!
I copied it and pasted it too, Lolly, but had the same question, "Will I remember it is there, and if I do will I remember where it is?"
Not a bad day today. My seniors spent most of their time working on their timelines and did a pretty good job. I promised an extra credit assignment for tomorrow. I'm thinking of having them write a children's book on A Christmas Carol. Since they did so nicely on the posters, they should enjoy doing picture books. At least I hope so.
Should fit right in with a study of Dickens and the season. Can show the trailer from the Disney movie with Jim Carrey to get them motivated. Then, I can let them go online for ideas about the picture books. Doubt they will finish, so I'll let them take it home for the holiday.
It does sound like we are about to get a big snow. Dear me, I am not ready for that.
Good Afternoon. Robert's surgery is finished and the surgeon was very pleased and said that everything went well. Live biopsy results will come later. My Hedgesville company has left - What a beautiful visit. Lynn as you know the kids don't have an internet provider so little 4 yr old came out of the back room smiling all over and told his mom 'That computer is great!'
Just spoke to Robert on the phone - his other grandparents were taking him home. Sounded strong and alert but I'm sure the discomfort will set in soon.
Jo, so glad to hear that Robert is on his way home! Pits that he has to wait for the biopsy results, but hopefully he won't have too much pain. Melissa doesn't have internet service? I think Verizon is there now. Go to Verizon.com and put in her phone number and it will verify availability. It's been here since early summer---but with $600 tied up in my satellite system, I won't switch anytime soon.
Hi, Eagle Gang, I'm running around like a madwoman trying to get things done so we can leave at a reasonable time tomorrow to go to Lawrence Welk timeshares. But GUESS WHAT!?! I got an UNEMPLOYMENT CHECK today!!! Running to deposit it right now. Thank GOD for small favors! Comes at a really good time! Gotta scoot--BBL, hopefully BEFORE school! :o]
Sharon - sometimes plans change Just be sure you know where the shovel is located! Hope all works out for you. loL ((hugs)) With all those dogs you should have a sled-
I've still got 7 months left on my contract, Paula, so may do that next summer. Of course, Paulleo---remember him?--- said that there is a similar clause in his frontier.net contract (also phone line service; local phone company in a good part of WV, instead of Verizon; my daughter has it in CharlesTown, and Bev has it in Bluefield) but daughter says it has never kicked in and her hubby is online playing interactive games all the time, so go figure!! Hughes is doing an upgrade in Jan. that will let us know when we near the threshold, and say we will be able to BUY more bandwidth time, but haven't said for how much yet.
Making my list for the rest of groceries needed for Christmas dinner....thankfully a relatively short list...will head out for store early tomorrow! Hope the timeline for tomorrow night doesn't speed up.......oh, I hate snow.
Hi all....LORD what a day...been running since morning.
Almost has surgery postponed AGAIN, but I'm on for 7:30am and should by home around noon.
Steve has been sick to his stomach all day...had to turn around and come back home from work.
Then my computer got a virus.
Then Steve accidently stepped on the cat's head.
Cat is fine, computer is fine thanks to Geek Squad with whom I bought a contract when I bought the computer.
Steve is feeling better.
I have a headache.
Hope everyone is good, saw Robert's surgery went fine. Will try to catch up later.
WARNING this virus is very new and very very bad. It will make it look like you have a Windows Security problem. It's called Security Tool virus and seems to have surfaced just this week and with a vengeance. It is unable to be detected by any existing virus protection program at this time. Ultimately it will lock up the computer. If you turn on the computer and your desktop is black except for one icon that looks like a shield, you are infected and will need help from a professional...untill they can update the virus protections to detect it.
Golly, Lynne. What a day! I sent your warning about the virus to my computer guy son. He ususally knows about these things. Hope none of the rest of us gets it.
Jo, I would prefer not to have homework over Christmas, either, but I will be bringing 25 research papers home with me.
It can be hard to pace out a project, so I'm making it extra credit and leaving the option of finishing it over the holidays. Just call me an old Grinch! (I have been called worse.)
Lynne bet the cat also has a headache. Lynn we are fine. The break is out by the old stadium. It is a mess. Our water pressure may be affected if they don't get it shut off. That's life in the city I guess. Never a dull moment.
Ceil, when I was fresh out of college and in my first teaching job, I picked up a note a student had written that referred to me as "Old Lady Hunter." I was 22. You have to develop a tough hide.
That is funny Shirley! Old lady at 22! Bless students! I had one tell me one time I needed to shave. Oh, well. Looked very carefully in the mirror when I got home. LOL
Ok, Jack and I are going with AT&T U-Verse. They will be here next Wednesday. It will be about $100 a month savings. Also, hopefully they will take care of all problems.
In the meantime....no laptop. Sob! AND, I have to share the computer with Jack. SHARE....can you imagine?!!!! Horrors!
I guess what I am saying is this....I will not be on as much.
Jo, so glad Robert's surgery is over. Sorry about the wait for results.
I am back to wrapping presents. Jack is cooking sloppy joe's for supper. Hey, anything goes,I am not cooking!
Hi, Gang, Just dropping in for a nanosecond to let you know I'm out the door running to go to school. Haven't stopped for a minute all day! I'm slam wore out, and have to keep going till 10:00 tonight, so PLEASE say some prayers! Don't want to do a face plant in my keyboard! Think we have a transcription test tonight, too! Must finish & print out my homework--have a few glitches in this computer, too--after it did an update yesterday. BTW, last guy I talked to in India was named 'Jose'! Did NOT have a Spanish accent! LOL BBL after school! :o]
Geez, I sure hope I'll be able to type tomorrow so I can let you know how everything went! if not I'll dictate to Steve. That could take a while! Calling for 6-8 inches of snow here beginning early Sat AM. I stopped and gathered supplies for a "snow day". It's supposed to be windy which is a pain but as long as the electric stays on we're good! Off to finish up some laundry...BBL
Tomorrow will be something else in our public schools. Last day before Christmas break and snow in the forecast!! Thank goodness, we have already had our fire drill for the month. I could not stand any more excitement.
Gee, Shirley, early Christmas for you all! Lucky you! Lynne, you certainly cannot have ANY more bad luck! Glad Steve is feeling better. Thanks for heads up about the new virus.....sounds bad! Ceil, have a nice evening---hope your water pressure stays up. Have a good evening at school,, Andy.
Yes, Shirley, a kindergarten child said that! He continued through the school, very bright child, but a big discipline problem. Probably in prison now. Not kidding.
I caught my breath, asked the kid if he could stay where was while I got someone to talk with him. He said that he could, so I went to my phone and said that I needed an administrator or someone from guidance immediately to speak with an upset student.
Counselor came and talked to the kid and made some phone calls. The boy's family was not particularly concerned, so he came back to class. I still worry about that one.
You know, I had a neighbor who once said that she did not understand why teachers need phones on their desks. I do not know how I got along without one for so many years.

He just jumped a fence...dangerous!!!
Thinks cops are closing in.
Yep, Shirley, still only 29 here....might be a few degrees warmer there----about 20 miles more SE of me.
I'll bet he's black and blue! ;)
Jo - how cool that Christine is on the radio and TV
Caught him, finally!!
Mits, not only is Cerrato going, but Snyders' bringing in Bruce Allen---former coach George's son!!! Has been with the Raiders and some other team!
from BWO........
12/17/09:
Looks like we had some waterfowl in the water impoundment area behind the cam.
The US Fish & Wildlife Service can control the amount of water that collects there in order to produce plant food for the migrating birds.
John Gruden may be new coach next year.
Shar and Thelma already have winter storm warnings posted for their area.....:(
must be going to pay "Chucky" alot to lure him away from MNF:)
Guess that explains why it has looked so wet for so long there, Helen.....I kept thinking that it must have poor drainage to still be flooded.
yeah, me too, in all the years I have watched , have never see it this wet.

But you may have missed my post last summer, Dana, of a naked 14 y.o. running through my development---spaced out on drugs!
I type then peek, then type some more.
ah, Freddie, how is he, talked to him alot a couple of years ago...???
Wow! Is that Lib? Staying a long time. Wonder if Belle is in the tree.
LOL Mits! Last person Jack talked to was "Jack". Once he even got an "Ashley". So funny!
once on of them from Dell was going to call me back to see how things were going....there was an eartquake over in India, never heard from him...hope he was ok.
I need the step by step instructions to go to security to remove from this computer the warning everytime I post.
OK, looks like many of us will need to batten down the hatches!

Thank you, Paula. Have done it, now let's see if it works!☺
Yea! Got rid of that annoying step! Again thank you. Will store those directions away, and hopefully be able to find it if I ever need it again. But, I know where to go if I do need help! Thank you again.
Oh, and did I say, Thank you?! lol
Since I postponed doing more baking today...I better get busy and wrap a few packages.
BBL
Thank you, Lynn. Just saved it as a word file, BUT will I remember it is there???????? Help! My mind is going! lol
BBL
Forecast is sounding worse.....argh.
Lynne, what time is your surgery tomorrow?
Found this message in email from Laurel. Thought I would share it with you for a laugh.
"Did you see the chance of snow on the 26th? Maybe I’ll be stuck at my Mommy’s house, where she will cook me dinner every night and I can drink my Daddy’s wine! HeeHee!"
Evil child!!!!lol I would love to have my daughter and grandchildren here for a snow. We would have FUN!
NO, Lolly, you didn't say Thank you, LOL
Laurel has a great sense of humor, just like you, Lolly.
Paula - I love snow globes!
I'm gonna stay in and wrap presents :)
eagLE ALERT OUR NEST!!!!
IT'S OUR BIG BELLE
She brought some fluff!
Now she's stickorating!
Gorgeous!! Look at that eagle eye!
She is looking right into the cam....
Eagle eyes..........
Super good news, Jo!
Guess she is getting ready to Poof
Yepper! POOF !
POOF
Shirley - I wouldn't want to take something home for the holiday....
It would be too much like homework.
Did somebody say Eagle Eye! :)
Hopefully both of them will return to turn on the night light later.
Both of us did! lol Belle was putting a hex on us! You doing ok
today..?
Just spoke to Robert on the phone - his other grandparents were taking him
home. Sounded strong and alert but I'm sure the discomfort will set in soon.
I am doing okay. Working some, watching an eagle cam, letting dogs in and out and wondering what to do with my plans and the foot of snow coming.
Cookies are done, and I even got some lights and garland put on porch rail.
Hi, Eagle Gang,
I'm running around like a madwoman trying to get things done so we can leave at a reasonable time tomorrow to go to Lawrence Welk timeshares.
But GUESS WHAT!?! I got an UNEMPLOYMENT CHECK today!!! Running to deposit it right now. Thank GOD for small favors! Comes at a really good time! Gotta scoot--BBL, hopefully BEFORE school! :o]
Andy, Sounds as though someone up there is looking over you! Enjoy your trip!!
Well, Lynn, maybe you could sell your satelite system and get Verizon. At least they won't put you in the penalty box.
That is so great, Andy!! Be careful driving, madwoman!!!
LOL, I see your "eagle eye" post now, Jo.
Lawrence Welk, wow that name brings back memories!
Sharon - sometimes plans change Just be sure you know where the shovel is located! Hope all works out for you. loL ((hugs)) With all those dogs you should have a sled-
We should be have another short visit soon.......
Hello eagle peeps.
Hi Thelma! Tomorrow is Red Friday.
End of the working week.
I need to leave the pc... so watch out they will be at the nest in no time flat! Get a pic or two.
BBILW
Hey Tbird, how are you doing today? How's Buddy?
Okay Mema Jo, I usually forget that. : )
Paula, Buddy is good. Right now he is whining to go out and see Fansy Face-the neighbors dog.
Hi, Thelma! Are you getting ready??? They are now saying possibly up to 2 feet....say it isn't so!
Making my list for the rest of groceries needed for Christmas dinner....thankfully a relatively short list...will head out for store early tomorrow! Hope the timeline for tomorrow night doesn't speed up.......oh, I hate snow.
Sure hope the bad water main break in Baltimore isn't affecting Ceil and MM. What a mess!
BBL
Will be thinking about you tomorrow, Lynne. Hope you get your surgery over with easily.
Shirley join the crowd. I have been called a lot of things also.
Lynne good luck tomorrow.
2 feet?! I am hearing maybe 1 foot here.
Ceil, when I was fresh out of college and in my first teaching job, I picked up a note a student had written that referred to me as "Old Lady Hunter." I was 22. You have to develop a tough hide.
Shirley that's for sure.
Off to watch some TV. Good night all.
Night, Ceil!
A kindergartener said that, Lolly?
Hi, Gang,
Just dropping in for a nanosecond to let you know I'm out the door running to go to school.
Hope it goes well, (and quickly)Andy.
Guess I should pick up a few more fire logs.
Lolly, tell Jack that he needs to let you use the computer more so that you don't work so hard!!
Re Lynne's virus:
Rus says--There's a program called Malwarebytes Antimalware that can get rid of the fake security tool types of viruses.
Heading for another split!
How is everyone this evening? I watching a little bit Of Mr and Mrs Smith...never seen the beginning before
Underwater volcano and Bill Nye on CNN. Looks like it will be interesting.
Yes, Shirley, a kindergarten child said that! He continued through the school, very bright child, but a big discipline problem. Probably in prison now. Not kidding.
Oh, I know you aren't kidding, Lolly!
Fascinating interview with Bill Nye.
I once had a student tell me that if his stepfather gave him a hard time, he was going to stab him.
What did you do about it, Shirley?
Did I make it back in before the
S P L I T
We don't need snow yet...make that Christmas Eve!
