You know, I think more than the numbers are screwed up on this blog lately.
I checked for a "new thread" notice, and I did not find one, although I clicked "newest" twice.
But after I published my notice, two or three notices by Magpie were clearly visible just above mine.

Eagle Cam Note
Our tree climber had an equipment emergency today, so he'll have to reschedule for next week to come out and perform maintenance on our cam for the new season. We'll let you know as soon as we get updated information.
I think one of 'em was digging a hole!
I'm wondering if it my IE8 that is causing the problems.....have had it on for several weeks now...some things good, some things not so good...but then my verizon keeps making me sign in all day, and when I sign in there, I have to sign into the blog too...getting me a tad frustrated....I want those computers they have on NCIS and Criminal Minds:)

Got very busy with the last week of classes and grading. Sorry I'm not up-to-date.
At Walter Reed today. Artery disease is progressing rapidly. Been referred to a vascular specialist at Washington Hospital Center. Bypass likely. Will keep you posted.
So sad that Tai Shan will be leaving. Maybe Natl. Zoo could bring a San Diego bear here. Did watch the newest exam a few minutes ago -- Diego is a heart throb.
Well, off to gaze into the frig. for inspiration. Maybe steak and potato and salad after a long and stressful day.

News is saying they're pre-salting the roads. It looked like there was something on the roads I came home on today.
Hey, maybe people will panic and cancel their hair appointments tomorrow and I can squeeze in a perm. I am going to give it a try if the roads don't look too bad. I couldn't get an appointment with my favorite hairdresser more than a week ago.

Well, got some laundry done including Park sweatshirts! My chore for tomorrow (email from the boss) is to proof the 2010 tide tables! There are usually 4 tides a day x 365 days! Used to be worse before 'puters. Had to convert the Balt. Harbor tides for our area by subtracting one # for Low & another # for High, so that was about 1400 subtractions! And I always tried to get it done by New Years. Now they come on a disc to AA Park across the river & they send to us.
If 'puter is still blocked, I won't be able to get on anything! AARRRRR

Speaking of sweatshirts, I got the grandgirls their school hoodies today---lovely emerald green with embroidered red apple and Musselman across front (school in Inwood, WV which for many years was where our big Musselman apple plant was---LOTs of benefits to area, hence school name; teams are the Applemen). Their paternal GF was an orchard manager for Musselman back in the day.
Going to say good night. I will see you tomorrow. Maybe there will be snow when I wake up in the morning.
I have to admit that I would rather not waste a good snow on a weekend. We teachers are sometimes worse than the kids. We love snow days. So nice to wake up in the morning and have that message that you can roll over and go back to sleep.
One December I even said a little prayer for snow in Culpeper and no snow in Fredericksburg, so I could get my Christmas shopping done while my own kids were in school. It actually happened. It was a blessing.
LOL, Shirley....you are bad! Just kidding, of course.....can surely understand! From the way the map looked earlier, you may not get any snow, but Culpeper might---what will that do to the SAT's?? Bet those kids are hoping!

Hello all!!!! Back from Laurel's. We had fun!! We went out to eat Mexican food. Yummy! The owner came over to talk with Joey, discovered it was Laurel's birthday. After dinner they brought her fried ice cream and about a dozen waiters came and sang. They put a huge sombrero on her head. On the way home we sang The Twelve Days of Christmas with Joseph leading us. He was really enjoying it and laughing so hard aftrerwards. The van was rocking!
Tomorrow more decorating and then go back to Laurel's to babysit.
JUDIE, prayers for you!!! We are a powerful group and we shall lift you up.

All our family and friends in Houston were having a ball today with the snow. That is great! When you don't get snow it is really a treat. I never saw snow until I was 19 and up here in college. I am originally from the Rio Grand Valley. That is 500 miles south of here.

Good morning everyone. Its so cold here. Snow in forecast for tomorrow and possible first winter storm on Tuesday night. Its winter and the eagles love it closer tot he dams when its cold and snowing. Snow makes gorgeous backdrop so I must get out all the gear that helps me to get near. I believe a trip to the dam is in the near future well a week or so away.

SHIRLEY!--nothing in the nest--just a bit of SNOW!
I see that snow in the nest. It has not been there long.
Thought I saw snow in the distance--snow or fog.
Raining harder here. Some sleet mixed in with it.
DANA---Do you have any bird feeders?---I love watching them---little ones move so fast in & out!!
AND, HOW BOUT THEM BEAVERS!!!! WE WON OUR 10TH STATE TITLE LAST NIGHT!!!!!
I had them Norma at other house could just walk out on porch up to little step to fill.
Here I tried off the porch railing or near it so I didn't have to walk in grass (ground hard for me to walk on). They poop shooted all over the porch and Ed's and my chair. So we took them down.

WHOA! DANA---I guess one should call them 'DIRTY BIRDS'---ho!--I know it wasn't funny then--but you made me LAUGH!
It was funny then too Norma. One of us would say "well we cleaned up yetesdays mess". "Today they are bomb baring us again". We would watch and laugh. But we both knew we had to sadly take feeder down. I am happy you LAUGHED cause we did too.
