Wednesday

New thread.

And my very best holiday wishes to all of you out there in eagle land.  We have been testing the live cam and it is getting close.  Our new partner is The Outdoor Channel.  No link for the cam yet, but hopefully soon.

Also, remember to check out my Friend Pete's canoe blog and cam,  he's working hard all alone today.

Thanks, Steve!

Wanda, that sounds like a great idea.

Shirley, love the squirrel pic! Did you find your scissors?

Mema Jo said...

Thanks Steve and Hedgie!

Good to hear about Sissy feeling pretty well - about Dana having a tree & about Wanda's celebration for Christmas.
I sure hope the weather accommodates all of us and our plans. I told hubby we best get some food in the house in case everyone coming can't make it - They are bringing most of the dinner foods. I can't just live off pumpkin pie and pumpkin cakes! lol

stronghunter said...

Found them, Paula. Thanks for asking.

Have been wrapping.

Margy's pic from this morning's visit on the Momsters album are great -

I need to get my street clothes on and head out shortly for my trip to the toy store.......

Thanks Steve for the new thread and grateful for the call over.

Good Eagle Morning Ms Hedgie ( :

WOW Wanda that sounds just great. This must be the naming time from last year to this year of names ending in "den". Wanda has a Jayden, Ed has a Cayden and a Brayden.

Yes I am so pleased with my little tree this year. Next year I bring out the other one. It is decorated from the last year (which I forget what year that was) and placed in a box with a white sheet around it. Each year I usually bring it out and just straighten things up on it. I truly like my little tree for this year...again Thank You So Much Loretta ... you was God's messenger to me.

paula eagleholic said...

Did ya'll see Steve's updated post on this new thread? Good news!

SHIRLEY--(before i forget)---Please tell JUDIE that the saying I used yesterday to JOHN--'AREN'T WE GLAD WE MARRIED YOU'----It's a 'saying my kids used to say when someone did something nice for them'---think it was picked up from a comic strip saying!!! ho!

'i read she couldn't understand why she thought i mentioned marriage to john' ho!

normabyrd said...

GOTCHA! DANA-----THANKS!

normabyrd said...

Mema Jo said...

Norma - Take care and wear your no-skid boots! Hang onto Lisa & enjoy your day. In this weather Soup & Grilled Cheese sounds tasty.
I have been watching those pine springs at BWE - she is such a neat housekeeper - Nest keeper I mean.

Mema Jo said...

Paula I skipped right over Steve's remarks after Hedgie called us over since I was cutting and pasting my comment. The Outdoor Channel - I sure hope it is a good one. Don't know of any other cams offhand that have that servicer. Very anxious to see it.

hedgie said...

I have sent email to all on my list, and same message through Momster mail. Read, please, as soon as you can.

stronghunter said...

Maybe Judie will be on here later to read your explanation, Norma. I am sure she will appreciate it.

paula eagleholic said...

Thanks for the great news, Steve. Keep us posted!

paula eagleholic said...

Jo, I only saw it cause I was going back to read the early morning posts...which I never did cause I was checking out the link, LOL

stronghunter said...

Thanks for the information, Lynn.

stronghunter said...

Oh dear, just as I was about to wrap Rus's gift, I found one of those danged security devices attached. I set off the system when I left the store, and tried to figure out what was causing it, but did not find it.

Nobody at the store did a thing when the alarm went off two times when I left. Now I have to go back unless one of you knows how to remove the thing. (I will remember to take the receipt. They will probably come a-runnin' when I go back in. That has happened to me before.)

Mema Jo said...

Lynn, thanks for being there for Deb's family. You certainly did convey our love for her to them. I know that was very consoling to them.

stronghunter said...

The clerk was busy calling security while she was checking me out because she saw someone suspicious.

Wonder if Susan knows how to get it off? Maybe she can bring one of those remover things with her.

Mema Jo said...

Shirley - let us know if we need to come pick you up !

paula eagleholic said...

Eagles at BWE...sure doing a lot of munching there!

magpie said...

Thanks for the new thread Steve - the update on live feed, we know it will here when everything is ready!
And thanks for posting that fabulous afternoon eagle visit picture on the Blog Home Page Tuesday! Just visited your friend's cam and blog.

WOWSIE (to borrow Jo's term of excitement)

I just got an invite to go see Alvin and the Chimpmunks with James while his father goes shopping. An offer I cannot refuse!

Thanks from me too Lynn, and Yay, Dana, your Christmas tree, now you can sing that song to it!

Momsters, Rock! (And Dadsters of course)
Love to all, prayers for wellness and safety, got to get ready for my movie date.
xoxo ♥ ☺

paula eagleholic said...

Try a magnet, Shirley.

stronghunter said...

Thanks, Jo.

I just e-mailed Susan. I am sure they have those remover devices they use in the store where she works. I do not know if they will allow her to leave the store with it, but she is a manager. Maybe she can just bring one with her.

magpie said...

I'll save a little money back for bonding Shirley out if she needs it.

stronghunter said...

Thanks for the suggestion, Paula. Maybe that will work.

Those things are supposed to shoot ink all over everything if you mess with them. I've not seen that happen, don't want to.

paula eagleholic said...

And looks like dried plants at BWE, not feathers.

stronghunter said...

Yeah, as Dana said, don't wanna end up in the pokey!

Got a blouse once. Nothing happened when I left the store, but I took it back to a Culpeper store later on; the alarm announced my entrance into the store and people came rushing. They were very helpful when I showed the receipt, though.

paula eagleholic said...

Dog out with the moose...well he was

stronghunter said...

OK, Will is no help. He said I have to take it back to the store.

stronghunter said...

Ours

paula eagleholic said...

Where on the edge?

paula eagleholic said...

Dog out with the moose again

stronghunter said...

Maybe a shadow or melted snow on the ground below. Looks odd, but not like an eagle. Maybe I am just seeing things.

stronghunter said...

Just past 12:00.

paula eagleholic said...

Just stuff in the distance....bright sunlight really changes things

paula eagleholic said...

Think I am seeing things....that's buckets, not doggie!

paula eagleholic said...

stronghunter said...

Gonna put Rus's gift aside for now and get some other things done.

wvgal_dana said...

Shirley I went in an enlarge your avaitar and I just love it. Did you snap the picture yourself?

stronghunter said...

Yes, Dana. I snapped it this morning. I am getting more squirrel visits today.

stronghunter said...

That's right outside my back door.

wvgal_dana said...

What kind of camera do you have Shirley?

stronghunter said...

Well its 33 and I still have my power :-). Got flood watches out now as expecting 1 to 2 inches of rain on top of all this ice before it changes back to snow late Christmas Eve and into Fri. If the ice will melt off of power lines before the wind takes them down then we should be ok. Dex and I had quite a walk. I wore my boots with thick tread and poor little guy kept slipping but we did get the business done if you get my "drift" remember he doesn't go anywhere where he thinks people will walk. Cam at least on my computer is looking a little sick again. But its almost the New Year and that was the original info we got on when live cam would be up. Soon very soon. And with eating in the nest we know our pair is busily in prep for the new season.

glo said...

cam looks better now too. :-) well thats cool. I am very glad to see.

NatureNut said...

Well, driving to and being at work is really on the "edge of whiteness"!!!! Need your sunglasses if near a window!
Dana, so glad you have a fiber optic tree. I got it last year, as had new kitten's first Xmas & didn't know how they both would handle a big one w/ornaments!The baby was even trying to chew the needles this AM, & I had set the water squirter bottle on the table. Didn't faze them. Guess we'll have to squirt!
Shirley and Margy, love your squirrels. I'll have to put our buddy, Shorty, and friends on Blog.
3 others are now coming to deck, but they are afraid of people. Shorty seeks you out if she knows you're outside!
Back to work~~~~Duh. I spent about an hour trying to unpack a new roll of banner vinyl~~~never seen this before. In box, then thick cardboard tube w/circular wooden ends screwed to tube!Banner roll is out of all that, but wrapped w/heavy plastic secured to plastic bases!I won't dare cut into the vinyl! I know that Steve's message wasn't there when I found the new thread, gang!
good news, indeed....can hardly wait.

Oh, Shirley.....what a predicament!!! Sis had one on her sweatshirt that she bought when she was here last summer----put it through the wash!! And it leaked STUFF....store didn't want to take it back until she demanded to see manager!

NatureNut said...

Glo, Glad you're back so I can say Happy Holidays to you and Dex!!

Time to start rolling out dough. BBL!

Lynne2 said...

hello everyone...beautiful bright day here!
Of course our route to Terra Alta looks bad for Christmas Day. Steve is pretty bummed out. He hasn't spent Christmas with his mom in many years. And SHE hasn't had Christmas with any of her 4 kids in years either.

Lynne2 said...

has anyone been watching the Delta nest at all? I've been checking here and there but haven't seen any activity. Think I heard an eagle earlier though.

Lynne2 said...

good grief, another Carolina wren stuck on the porch!! I just can't figure how these birds are getting in...I can't find an opening anywhere!

paula eagleholic said...

Dr Sharpe on the WE cam...take a look while you can :)

stronghunter said...

Yea! Big road grader in the neighborhood.

Boo! Susan can't help me with the security device. Would like to call the store and tell them to come here and fix it. They should have showed up to help when the alarm sounded twice. Well, tomorrow I will go see what I can do about it.

stronghunter said...

Eagle, I think at Maine cam.

hedgie said...

Dough is now rolls! 12 pans (they get shared!). Now to rise again and then bake. Cinnamon sure smells good---and I don't mean the dog!
SIL will take 3 pans to firehall with him Sat. for his crew to enjoy. That will leave 3 pans for each "family"...Chrsitie will take one to her dad, too.
Now to clean up mess!!

paula eagleholic said...

Where is Terra Alta, Lynne?

Lynne2 said...

It's in WV, just over the Maryland line in Garrett Co.

Lolly said...

Howdy!!! Guess who has her laptop back. Young man came at 9:30 and worked til 2:30. Our TV's, telephone and computers are all on AT&T U-verse now. We will see if this works out. It is a savings of approx $100 a month for us. Have to learn all over how to use the TV controller. All this technology will keep us all young!! Keeps our minds working. (Or does it just add to our confusion?)

Have just skimmed the blog quickly, so please tell me if there is something important I missed.

We had fun last night. I enjoyed seeing all the little girls with curls and bows in their hair. Told Laurel I was going to have to put a bow in her hair. lol She said "I curled it....that is all you get!"

Haved done more cooking today, and will do more tomorrow. Jack says that after church tomorrow evening we will just order pizza. I was thrilled!

Lolly said...

I love that picture of our eagles on yesterday's blog. It is so colorful and clear!!!!! So excited about the live cam. Can hardly wait!!!

hedgie said...

I pulled a good one---LOL! "Threw" a piece of wood in the fire and my glove went right with the log!!! Thank goodness I had just bought a new pair recently which I hadn't started using yet!!

hedgie said...

Lolly, glad you and Laurel enjoyed the play!!
I think we all are much more savvy about computers, at least, thanks to this blog and all the smart people we have on it!!

Sure glad I have two ovens!! The rolls are baking. Yummmm.

Judie said...

Happy afternoon, everyone.

Thank you, Margie. Hugs to you!

Went to get my "do did" this morning and when I returned home Darth informed me Walter Reed vascular called, he told them about the swelling, and so the saga continues as I must report there at 0800 tomorrow morning. Will keep you updated.

Missed the news from Steve but am thinking we might get a live feed soon? Wouldn't that be the bestest holiday present?

Now I find that Norma is trying to cover her tracks about her "relationship" with John and Shirley is on the lam with a Christmas gift.

I'm glad Sissy is feeling better and Dana has her tree and Jo will have more than pumpkin pie to eat after toy shopping, that Lynn is baking, Margy is going to see Alvin and the Chipmonks, and Jim and I have watched Diego playing in the enclosed area outside the den. Hoping Lynne2 and Steve get to Terra Alta safely to enjoy the holidays with his mom. Hi Lowreeda, Glo and Dex, and Paula.

Think I'll go elevate the leg -- life is soooo exciting for me.

Lolly said...

Judie...so sorry you are have to go back to the doctor, but also so glad they will be checking you. Must get you fixed up!

NatureNut said...

Hi Judie! Hope you get encouraging report tomorrow!
Went out to take pics of snow fields in front of house & saw many deets eating at the treeline. 2 took a nap. One was a "Bucky", maybe Spot, Sr. Got their pics. Also took "frozen pond" in back. Hope parking spot which wasn't plowed, will let me get out of here later. I actually parked on driveway near house. Only the back tires are on white yuck!

paula eagleholic said...

Well, Lynn, might as well pitch the other one in there too.

Lynne2 said...

Paula, a Saturday/Sunday visit is out because Steve's mom has to work first thing Sunday. We'll just try for next Friday....

Lolly I'm so glad you had such a good time last night!

Lynn, I agree with Paula...send the odd glove in with it's mate!

UGH Judie....I sure hope they will figure something out tomorrow to get you some relief.

The dog rescue has started processing our application...they called our neighbor/landlord today!

Lynne2 said...

wow Lynn, that's so lucky for your former co-worker!!! I'd be happy with 59% of a million!!!

Things are getting busy all around all right. Keep up those prayers that Peace and Joy, comfort and Safety will prevail, despite the weather, but hope the forecast improves magically !

ISS will be out again for clear skies in some areas, it was brilliant this morning!

Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Squeakquel, was pretty darn cute. Was a lovely unexpected early Christmas get together with my grandson, then we played in the snow here for a long time, made lots of magpie and grandson tracks.

Time to get ready for a nap, finally go back to work tonight at midnight...

xo Love and Prayers for all

Oh, there was a Santa Claus, real man, riding on the front locomotive of the Winchester and Western Railroad this afternoon, James and I saw him at two crossings, it was great. Train Whistle sounded whistles that sounded like Jingle Bells, the rhythm of it that it is ☺
It was slow moving train

hedgie said...

Lots of deets in driveway----easier acorn pickin' there than through the snow!!

magpie said...

ISS will be out in the Morning that is. Imagine, spending Christmas on the International Space Station

Lolly said...

Ok, here is the deal....it is presently 67, it got up to 75 today. We have the house open and in some rooms turned on the ceiling fan. In the morning.........SNOW. Have I been associating with you guys too much?
Actually, the weather predictions goes like this...rain, mix, snow, with accumulation up to 1 to 2 inches.

Lolly said...

Oh, I wish I had deets in my driveway! However, when they started munching on my plants I know I would YELL!

Lolly said...

There are lots of deets in Texas, but I have never seen any here. Well, in the paper recently there was a letter to the editor. A person had had a deer cross the road in front of him. He was amazed and wanted to warn locals. Interesting!

Lynne2 said...

there is an eagle doing nestorations at Delta if anyone is interested.,..

Lolly said...

Oh, Lynne! That dog looks precious! Wish I had a dog. Jack is just not a dog person. We have a cat...only because I insist! We have had two dogs in the past. They were wonderful, and Jack loved them, but right now while we travel, he does NOT want one.

magpie said...

Oh I was interested in Delta, Lynne, just couldn't make the trip to the cam right now :(

Got to get in some z's -
will catch some of you perhaps before I leave for work tonight.

Prayers for all our needs...and in fact, many of our Wants...☺

Sure like the sound of all the cooking that is going on! Would prefer to smell and eat some of the treats actually ☺

TTFN xoxo ☺ ♥

Lynne2 said...

Well, I guess I can understand about not wanted a dog when you travel a lot. We are interested in her because she is young but past puppy, medium sized...good for taking in the car and camping! She looks like a sociable dog and it's a huge plus that she likes kids cause our neighbors have 2 that we watch and spend quite a bit of time with. We have 3 cats ( or if you read about Brother, we have 2 cats and one Freakshow in a Fur Jumpsuit ) and she has not been tested with cats yet.

Lolly said...

Well, Margie, please know, I would LOVE to share baked goodies with you. Come on over!

magpie said...

Lolly, I will be listening to that tune that your Santa is playing as I drift off to sleep ♪ ♫ xo ♥

hedgie said...

Oh, Margy, did you get pictures of Santa on the train???? How cool!!
Sorry you have to work tonight...6 hrs.??

magpie said...

Thanks Lolly, just a hop skip and a jump to your place !

Lynn, yes I did, but won't be able to post until the morning. I was fumbling with my camera and did not get a great shot but I will play with it some in the morning.

Yes 6 hrs tonight, and then 12 starting Christmas Eve at "1800."
xo okay, walking away now...bed is warmed up.

Lolly said...

Oh, that should be interesting, Judie. When Laurel was looking for cat she wanted a kitten that was used to dogs. She found one, very young, that was used to dogs. One day she heard a interesting sound....there was BOSCO, their neutered male dog, spread out, and the kitten was "nursing" on a nipple.

Lynne2 said...

Our local volunteer Fire Dept runs a hook and ladder truck through the different neighborhoods in the couple of weeks before Christmas...really cute, all light up with Santa throwing candy canes to the onlookers! Of course, back here in the boonies we can only hear the commotion, the don't come this far down the road

Lynne2 said...

That's so funny Lolly! I hope they got a picture!

Lolly said...

Hey, Lynne, we live in the boonies too! lol

Lolly said...

I don't think they got a picture, but we certainly remember it. Bosco and Isabelle are still great companions.

Lynne2 said...

My dogs and cats have always gotten along....I have some of the cutest pictures of them snuggled up with each other but they are the old fashioned pictures and I don't have a scanner to share them.

Lolly said...

Want you guys to know my Denton family rang the bell in front of Wally World today. From 4 to 5, Laurel, Joey, Joseph, and Jacob rang the Salvation Army bell. Laurel said those boys really brought in the money. Joey took them to the restroom and Laurel said she got smiles but not much $, With the boys they got LOTS. Bless my boys, learning to help those who need help.

Lynne2 said...

you'd think poor Bosco would have been in pain....those little kitten teeth are SHARP!!

Lynne2 said...

That's wonderful that they did that!! I heard on the news that the Salvation Army (along with all the other charities) donations are really down this year.

Lolly said...

Lynne, we have always had cats, preferably Siamese cats. We have even raised a few litters and sold them. We have had two Keeshond dogs. Once we held up a new born kitten for one of the dogs to sniff. The hours old kitten hissed!

Lynne2 said...

I think Brother Cat is part Siamese! Maybe a grand parent or something. He is very busy, very vocal, has really pretty blue green eyes and sharper features like a Siamese cat does.

Lolly said...

We presently do not have a Siamese. Annie is a black and while long hair, who appeared one Aug. morning, approx. 6 weeks old and wet from the rain. She had fleas, ear mites, worms, and so needed a home and love. She is now 14 1/2. We call her Mad Cat. She did not learn a lot of the skills she would have learned from her Mother. She is definitly a one person cat...me. lol

In the rescue and vet business, it's always been one of the things most dreaded is the one puppy or one kitten litter or found. They really do learn a lot of social skills from being with mom and littermates.

Siamese? Did someone named Lolly mention Siamese? Had Siamese since I was early twenties. Last two died last year. Still grieving. Want so much to have another critter or two but Darth is not agreeable. Nice guy but we are very different people.

I'll be back later. Dinner is over and need to get my foot elevated.

Growing up we had a Siamese "Fu". One month after we married we bought "Ahso" (Ahso,$10 cat!)Ahso died at 17. Then we got "Kissie". She was a registered Siamese. We had her bred and sold her kittens for over $100, but kept one kitten. "Misty" was a blue point. She was the most fantastic cat ever! Boy, we LOVED that cat. When she was getting old Annie showed up at our door step. I will have another Siamese some day and preferably a blue point.

Our two dogs we had were Keeshonds.

Home from shopping and PT.

Kathryn is going to come pick up the robe and take it to the mall for me tomorrow.

Judie, do tell us what the doctor tells you tomorrow.

Have lots of odds and end to take care of.

BBL.

posted our tree on my blog.

Really, doesn't Loretta's tree look like a bald eagle!

Shirley I hope your PT went well!

Steve finally home from shopping and traffic fighting so time for dinner.

Lynne, hope things work out so that you get Casey.

thanks Shirley...

PT went fine, Lynne. I had a new therapist tonight. She just moved here from Texas.

Good late evening, everyone.

Yes, I think if a Siamese, or any other reasonable critter showed up, he would relent.

Must be up extra early tomorrow. Will check in when I can. Am hoping for a wee bit of positive news.

Turning my light out and leaving the night light on for others --BUT -- turning off the bright lights so the cops can't find Shirley and her purloined gift. Andy, please set the electronic alarm when you come in.

Good night everyone. Pleasant night before Christmas Eve.

stronghunter said...

Judie, Kathryn is going to set the problem right for me tomorrow. Thank goodness, she will come pick up the robe and the receipt and take it to the store for me. Bless her! Most likely the store personnel will come running when she enters the store and sets off the alarm.

One positive thing about the weather. It is helping Kathryn's business at the body shop. She said they have had several vehicles that got damaged because they were sitting in car ports that collapsed under the weight of the snow.

Thought you all would like to see Chrissy's Christmas menu!!!

I don't know what a typical Christmas dinner is where you are pet,, I'll give you mine below,,,,

Roast Turkey
Pork,sage & onion Stuffing
Cranberry Sauce
Bread Sauce
Dutchess Potatoes
New small Potatoes
Roast Potatoes
Sausages
Bacon Rolls
Brussel Sprouts
Carrots
Sliced French Green Beans
Lashing of Gravey

Then the pudding, if I can get up and walk to the kitchen to get it,,,,,,

That's only the Christmas Day food pet, there's Boxing Day food and food for when Visitors arrive as well,, I've already made a few chocies,, I've soaked cherries in Brandy and some in Rum and they have been sitting nicely for a month or two,, I've covered them in dark dark chocolate and covered some in chopped nuts and some in gold and silver edible glitter, put then in little sweet cases and they are boxed up and ready to eat,,,,,

Margy, I'll miss you tonight. Have an easy night at work.

Judie, Hope you get good results and are home by Christmas Eve!! I know it's tomorrow ... praying for the best!

Lolly, will gladly give you some of our snow if you would send us some of your temps. A deal?

I'm trying to smell the cinnamon but my nose must be stuffy, can't smell a thing.

Getting very sleepy here. I will have much to do tomorrow, but at least I don't have to make the trip to the mall.

That is quite a menu Chrissy has! So many varieties of potatoes. I feel full just reading it all.

hedgie said...

Lynne, your tree is very pretty!!! Think I saw a few presents, too! Did Santa come already??? LOL--I've got everything there, too.
Goodnight, Judie. We will be anxiously waiting to hear what you find out.
Mom and Sis' box hasn't come yet....will have to call PO in the morning.they've left boxes sit in the back w/o putting notices out on the route before!

I have been lurking every so often.
Still finding some little things that need to be done.

Lynn - Hubby and I and 2 of our children and their families attend Mass at 4pm. When we come home the other children are arriving. Prepared food is set on the table and dinner is ready. Everyone is bringing food - hubby and I just made some desserts and the famous Pineapple-Carrot Salad with cream cheese dressing.

Looks nice with all the gifts! Even though we had "lean" budget this year we found some inexpensive, useful, thoughtful gifts that I think will be appreciated! Your tree is beautiful too! I still think Loretta's looks like a bald eagle.
Jo, everything sound so delicious!

Well, I thought I'd fall asleep in that chair!!
Didn't get chance to do anymore w/pics yet~~~oh well. Tomorrow is baking day. Making fruit nut breads. Was planning a first--go to a festive restaurant for Xmas, but it might be ice and rain. Got invite to stepson's G'ma's!
Gotta do some emails.

Loretta I love the shining star, what a beautiful idea, and I agree with Lynne, I think that one tree does look like an eagle !

Everyone that is checking out,
Good Night and God Bless, rest well and sleep peacefully....

everyone still up and running around, well, don't stay up all night!

Lynne2 said...

Night Margy...hope work is uneventful tonight!

Think I'm heading for bed soon...prayers for all and Happy Christmas Eve Eve!

hedgie said...

That sure sounds better than a restaurant, Loretta!!!
Jo, sure would like your recipe for the carrot salad. I'm the only one who likes it, so stopped making it---mine was just grated carrots, pineapple, raisins, S&P and mayo.

Hedgie -
Chrissy's menu sounds
dee-lightful. With all that cooking going on, think they will be okay without a central heating system for a few days, (which has been on the fritz for a couple of months now....) sounds like they are managing okay anyway with adjustments...

Hey! Has anyone seen that gorgeous Moon tonight? starting to set now in the west, maybe you can catch a glimpse of it

My kitchen has the most magnificent aroma, from a Ginger Peach candle...gift from a dear friend. Makes it seem as though I have been cooking.

Jo
Your evening tomorrow night, sounds so wonderful!

Bet that early Mass is the Children's Mass, isn't it?

Almost bedtime, so I thought I'd better get on here before everyone goes to bed.
I have read back over most of the blog and have really enjoyed reading about all your plans and cooking and baking. Now, I am feeling inadequit because I'm not baking anything. I don't dare...remember, I can't boil water!
Hope Judie just needs a simple adjustment...maybe a little nip here or a tuck there:)
Glad most of you that have been feeling "poorly" are doing better now.
Went to GG's today and she was so sore and couldn't figure out why. I reminded her that she shoveled snow twice this week and forgot to take her pain meds last night! Gave her some right away and she was feeling better about 30-45 mins. later.
Need some sleep.

GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL

'Night Lynne, and thanks, since I've been off for several days, hard to tell what is going to be in my Inbox ! :(
Six hours, will go lightning fast though I think.

Good Night Wanda, and
I will surely miss PA NANA and Nilla tonight, have really enjoyed the late night soirees with them ☺

magpie said...

Wanda, I have not baked a thing either. Used to do dozens and dozens of cookies

Costume Lady said...

Have a good shift, Margy:)

magpie said...

My biggest gaffe and regret of the season though is that I did not get the cemetery arrangements out to my parents' and a few special persons' gravesites before the snow buried everything. Did get my sister's out though, thank goodness. Well, maybe something for the New Year for them instead.

Lynne2 said...

Wanda, I haven't baked anything either! Been trying to fit in Chocolate Chip cookies but my days are getting by me! Maybe tomorrow...

hedgie said...

Well, dear friends, it is almost Christmas Eve! Dragging this tired body to the tub and then to bed. See you tomorrow! Rest well. Have lovely dreams! Peace and prayers.

Good Night Precious Pals, time to find the fairy and get ready for work.
See you in the Morning...
God Bless Us, Every One

I think I am ready to call it a day...
It is a children's Mass Margy - in fact they have 2 children's Masses. I get to take jingle bells and ring them
for the Gloria! I take extra for any small children who may not have them.
I wanted to bake BUT I couldn't have eaten them like I would have wanted to when they are warm out of the oven. Blood sugar count would have sky rocketed. I am praying that the temps rise for Christmas eve & day - so may family gatherings and we need safe travels.

Mema Jo said...

Good Night All !
Peace all over the world!

Prayers for all especially for Judie's
Dr appointment tomorrow....
(((hugs))) ♥ ♥ ♥

I am happy Dana has her tree up!

Christmas Eve Eve is almost over!

Nite to all those heading to bed.

Today I prepared the dinner rolls, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, and mashed potatoes. (Working around the man installing the U-verse) Tomorrow is baking two apple pies, one pecan pie, another pumpkin roll and corn bread dressing. Yes, we have turkey and dressing all over again. It is Jack's favorite meal.

Jack and I will be alone tomorrow night. We will go to a candle light service in the evening. Expect Laurel and family late Christmas morning. We have fun opening presents and then have dinner. Laurel's mother in law will be with us for dinner as well.
Michael is at his home in Dallas. They are having Ashley's family with them this Christmas. We will all get together some time next week to have Christmas with Michael. Next Christmas Michael and family will be here Christmas Eve. They alternate...Laurel is here every year.

Temp here is now down from 75 to 57. House is still open, hard to believe snow tomorrow.
