Thanks and Merry Christmas, Steve and Judie.

Both still in nest.

So glad I returned to apologize for my poor manners. Got distracted. Thank you Steve for the new thread and, again, Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Thank you, Shirley. Do have a nice treat this morning, afterall.

Enjoy the day with friends and family.

paula eagleholic said...

Aren't they gorgeous!

stronghunter said...

They really are, Paula.

paula eagleholic said...

Had just a little bit of frozen pellets here earlier...nothing at present. Lots of it is evaporating before it hits the ground.

stronghunter said...

Haven't seen any precipitation here, yet.

Lolly said...

Merry Christmas! I wish each of you peace, love, health, and happiness!

Christmas is here but presents have not been opened. Jack and I opened our stockings and enjoyed a delicious breakfast, but it has been very quiet. Fritz family can not get here yet. Roads are very bad. Hopefully they will be here in another two hours. We may eat and then open presents.

A special Merry Christmas to Steve. Love the picture on the blog. I guess that is one of ours???? Belle or Lib?

And love seeing them in the nest right now! Wow!

Lolly said...

Paula, are you getting pictures?

paula eagleholic said...

Hi Lolly!

Looks like munching!

Lolly said...

That is what I was thinking...a meal!

paula eagleholic said...

Yes, I've taken a couple...only on a break!

I had to leave the blog and come back on. Could not post.

Lolly said...

Well, that worked!

stronghunter said...

I've gotten a few pics this morning.

Good Shirley! Those who are not here will appreciate knowing about the visit.

Merry Christmas, Everyone!

and HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS, JIM AND JEN!

Everyone be on the lookout for my Christmas card(s) to you in the Momsters e-mail! For some reason, I've had trouble with my American Greetings account, and every once in a while they will send an e-card to the Twilight Zone. Sent all of you a card twice yesterday, and finally, late, late last night got a confirmation that it would be sent today some time.

Hubby and I have been up for quite a while. Have enjoyed watching our MANY feathered friends on the patio bird feeders, while having our breakfast. It's really pretty cold here (Yay!)--43 when we got up earlier, about 49 now, and going to get to the high 60s later.
Sorry to have missed seeing our eagles this morning--wishing them lots of blessings on Christmas day!
Praying for safe journeys for all who are traveling today!
Want to thank Steve for the beautiful eagle picture on the blog!
Well, guess I'd better go get ready to hit the road. Hubby is taking me to the movies to see 'The Young Victoria', a new movie made by Princess Fergie, about Queen Victoria. MTBR. Will be back later with a movie review.
Have a wonderful day. Love you guys! :o]

There's a lot of things in there, including one Siamese cat and one frog. "Where's Waldo" lol

One Santa Christmas Angel Story:
Midnight, lady calls, lives way down in the boondocks...
trying to get to Baltimore with her husband to see her children.
Car had flat tire, they put the doughnut tire on, got stuck in snow.
Minutes running out on phone, they are getting cold and more sad.
Truck had flat tire, no jack.
They had already closed up the house thinking they were leaving.
Each thought the other had the house keys, neither did, they were locked inside the house. :(
Desperate and Sad. Our officer could not get to them, roads too bad, said to try to get a tow truck down to them.
Called around, found the best one, wonderful Santa ventured out.
He called us back about an hour later, with an update. Said they looked like they did not have two nickels to rub together.
Changed tire, gave them some gas money as well! I am sure he did not charge for his time or service.
I told him I bet he was smothered with kisses and hugs.
He said, it has been a long time since he saw a grown man cry. I offered to give him some money for what he did, he said:
MERRY CHRISTMAS, I'M GOING HOME AND GOING BACK TO BED !
..and they walk amongst us....

God Bless Angel "Mike," and God Bless Us, Every One.

They'll deal with the locked up house no keys later.
Another story later.
Going to next door widow lady's for some chow. Senior Services brought her a complete meal, so we are sharing.

I might miss the Eagles...but they will be around every day for us ☺

xoxo ☺ ♥

magpie said...

Yes, I cried too....

Thank you Shirley. Yes, Tom your son-in law, is the luckiest man alive !

Would like to wish all of you the very best Christmas ever! Hopefully my e-card will arrive some time before New Year's! Gotta run now--got to finish preparing dinner. BBL! Love you guys! :o]

Ah yes, Lowreeda, I do appreciate the Darth/Star Wars/Panda Hat picture.

Happy late evening, everyone. Sounds as if everyone has had a lovely day.

I'll be back later to say goodnight. Need to elevate my leg/foot for awhile.

magpie said...

Oh, the other Christmas Angel story, forgot I was going to post it.

Lady and her children return home from Midnight Mass around 2 am, they get out of car, woman drops her entire key ring, house, car keys, into the snow. (Ever done that? I did it four times last week! )
She can't find them....calls us frantically on 9-1-1, she and the kids are cold, really cold.
We dispatched deputies, they first tried to locate their metal detector at the office, no success, four of them head out, one became a Hero very quickly, 'cause he found them.
Guess those guys got some hugs and kisses too. ☺

Well, eyelids are really protesting now!

xo later

paula eagleholic said...

All quiet here finally, presents opened and played with and repacked...tummies full...leftovers in the fridge...still a couple of dishes to do...

Playing with my new digital photo frame, so I had to come down to the computer so snage some pics on a flash drive...bbialw...

Oh, Lolly...made the sopapilla cheesecake for dessert...BIG HIT...Told everyone it was from the Bacon Pasta lady...John said tell that lady it's really good!

Judie said...

Sounds like everyone had a lovely day and sweet dreams will be the order of the night.

Forgot to mention earlier, I really like the eagle picture Steve provided for today's thread.

Turning my light out now but leaving the night light on for others. Andy, please set the alarm for us when you come in.

Merry late Christmas evening!
Sounds like we've all had some good times today. Kids all made it, dinner was delicious, if I do say so myself! Of course, they all said so---and love seeing the SIL's chow down!
Leftovers all divvied (SIL cleaned off bird carcass, as he does every year); girls cleaned up kitchen. I've emptied dishwasher and reloaded. Everything basically is but back together except to put china, flatware and crystal back into china cupboard---will have to wait til tomorrow---too tired and don't want to break anything.

My grandson's Dad had a sudden severe onset of what is being called viral gastroenteritis last night, so he spent a few hours at the ER and is on the mend, but it put a bit of a dent in their Christmas fun this morning.
So James's Santa was working on a late Christmas afternoon gift fest with him....he said that James was a good sport about everything. I hope to catch up with "the boys" Saturday or Sunday.

Christmas Dinner with next door neighbor lady was a Christmas blessing for both her and me here.
I passed up two invitations to some dear friends' homes due to the weather. I am a bit of a wimp when roads and weather are the way they were

A quick hello and good night. Things have quietened down here after a rousing afternoon and evening. We ate dinner and then opened gifts, then played cards until very late.

Glad you enjoyed Tom, Margy. He is something else.

Nice to read your touching stories, Margy. I will be thinking about you and your family get together to come this weekend.

Lynn, so nice that your family was able to make it.

I will try to catch up on everything else tomorrow--actually later on today. My brain is stopping for the evening.

Lolly said...

Nite all! It has been a fun afternoon! Laurel and family did not get here until about 12:45. Let the boys open a few presents, but then we stopped to eat. The protested! Then after eating we went back to opening presents. Spent the rest of the day playing. Everyone has gone to bed. Laurel in her new footie PJ's. lol She is so happy with them! Jacob is asleep in his new camo play tent in the living/dining room.

I am headed that way myself, but wanted to tell you good night. Sweet dreams, hope your day has been wonderful!

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Everyone,
Dropping in a bit late to wish you all sweet eagle dreams!
We had a nice evening, although a bit unusual. The neighbors across the street have a slightly retarded middle-aged fellow named Jerry staying at their house; been there for about 6 weeks. He came home after dark from visiting friends, and no one was home, and he has no key to the house. He was concerned because the kitchen lights were on in the house, but no one answered the door. He thought his benefactors might have been injured or something, so he came to our house to see if we had their phone number. We didn't--so Hubby and I called the police business number to see if they would come and investigate the situation. They did, though it took a while. Meanwhile, Jerry called his former landlord on our cell phone, and that guy drove here to pick him up. Seems the landlord called our neighbors on their cell, and they were in the process of taking their grandson back to his home. They were not going to be home for quite a while.
We had Jerry come in and get some coffee (it was pretty damp and chilly out), and we talked until the ex-landlord got to our house to pick Jerry up. Whole thing was a lack of communication problem, and we were glad nothing was amiss with the neighbors, and everything worked out OK. After that, fell asleep in the recliner watching a movie on TV! So here I am to say good night, and set the eye scanner security system. (Done!) The porch light and Christmas lights are on, and the night light is on. Going to bed now--talk to you in the morning light! Sweet dreams. Love you guys! :o]

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE...
Our cam doesn't look very healthy. Maybe we need some sunshine to make it well. Can still see, but has 2 lines dancing around.
Hope everyone sleeps in this morning, except Lib and Belle:)

Judie said...

Good morning, everyone.

So pleased everyone had a wonderful Christmas, including Andy's neighbors and their guest, Jerry. Haven't seen anything from Lynne and Steve -- will assume all went well with their travels. This is a day of recovery, I think.

Off for coffee and newspaper.

paula eagleholic said...

Good Morning on the day after!

Lots of rain and melting going on here...nest is almost snow free!

grannyblt said...

Good morning everyone. Snow about gone after all that rain and sleet yesterday. I need to get outside to clean up the yard between snow, if you know what I mean. No eagles in sight this AM. Limping turkey on PA woods cam.

hedgie said...

Good day-after morning, one and all!
Everyone must be sleeping in. I tried, but...feel exhausted! Have to take Cinnamon to vet to get her sutures out and trying to gather the energy to do it----have to put seat down in truck and put carrier in, and I think it's still raining.
No on cam now---still some snow in nest, but no birds!

paula eagleholic said...

College kid was lucky enough to be able to work back at his part time job here during the break...so he was off at 6:30 this morning to work, and working tomorrow too. He'll get together with everyone later, as I am headed down to see brothers today.

Oh, and he has a new girlfriend at school! He took her to New York for her birthday, I'll put a picture of them up on my blog. She's coming down to visit tomorrow for a couple of days.

hedgie said...
