Hope no one was kept awake last night because I fell asleep and forgot to turn my light off. Sorry. Was tired. At least no one had to stumble around in the dark.
Today I hope to get some minor, physically easy things done around the house. Laundry for one. Will stop if foot/leg begin to swell. Still swollen but not as bad.
All quiet at the cams this am except some activity at PApix - turkey vultures.
Oh, Jim, I have a question since you seem to monitor SD Zoo more than I. How many pandas are currently at the zoo and do they each have their own sun rooms, exercise rooms, etc.?
I would love for SD to send NZ one of their pandas to replace our departing Tai Shan?
Night sleep well Margy. Good Morning in Eagleland Wanda, Norma, Andrea, Shirley, Margy, Grannyblt, Lolly (have to look back to see where Jack was giving the blog a hard time lol), Sissy, and those coming in.
Good morning eaglet amigos and thank you all so much for the anniversary wishes!! I can't believe how blessed I am to have such an amazing husband and I can't believe a whole year has already gone by! I also can't believe that on this very day last year it was a balmy SEVENTY DEGREES!!! When we picked that date, we knew the weather could be "ify" and just prayed that we had no snow or ice so that all could get here. Never in our wildest dreams did we think it would be so warm!!
Good morning, Lynne. Happy Anniversary. # 1 Wow! I can not remember back that far. lol It will be #45 for us in June. I wish for you all the happiness that we have had in our 45 years!
Oh, Norma! I have been sinning and I am paying for it! Made those cinnamon rolls and I have been eating them for breakfast for several days. Weight has gone up!BAD!

Was looking at everyone's Xmas/snow pics. Sure are nice! Got some stuff to do today--grocery, make another fruit nut bread maybe~~~all gone now.Never got my tulips planted~~~can do them as long as ground is not frozen. BBL
BTW, read all the football comments~~Fubby thinks Redskins should also try different quarterback. I think the whole system is below average. When QB Collins played, I thought he was good. Oh well, it is what it is, but should certainly be much better. AMEN
Good Monday Morning! I have been on the phone for quite awhile with Germany gang. Elizabeth aka Izzy is now making the dog, cat cow sounds. Love hearing her voice! Samantha is now 8 yrs of age --- Time is passing me by! They are awaiting word now from the higher ups as to date and place of relocation. I told them I will travel anywhere within the states to see them.
I meant to tell you all this earlier. The rehab hospital where Mason is now - my first transcription job was at HealthSouth in Princeton, WV and we transcribed for HealthSouth MountainView in Morgantown. Small world!
As far as they have been told they should be headed for the states...gd says she has had her fill of Bamberg now and wants to come home... They were able to state their choices... One was Ft Lee VA...... Wouldn't that be fantastic. They will probably get mid west but I hope not HI. To long to fly for me. MTBR
Have not caught up on todays thread yet, but will comment on last night late posts before I do, and tell you about my morning. Message to Jack!!! Redskins have been a franchise for a LOT longer than those 'Boys!!! And whoever dubbed them America's Team should be tarred and feathered. Only the Nations' Capitol team can be a national team...duh!!! So there!!!! Just kidding, of course, but this DC gal is true-Red through and through!!
Spend time on phone reporting mail tampering to postal inspector office. Sure that nothing will come of it. They will contact me if they need more info or have anything to report---fat chance!
Bill and I had a little Christmas time this morning. Not enough time, but at least able to exchange "gifts"--he always only gives money. But a very sepcial card, for sure. Have to laugh---a while back, for 3 years in a row, he had picked out identical card---we got big laughs over that.
When he left, dog wanted out---I looked out door, and something had pushed open gate that is always bungee corded closed (it's only for ease of getting mower into dog yard). Bungee cords rotted and broke when probably a deer pushed it. Had to rush out---used those plastic lock-tie thingies this time!
That is funny Lynn! That card must say it all to be chosen that many times. I find that happening with the 5 kids birthdays and especially the son-in-laws. I can also find a lot of grandkids cards but hardly any for great grandkids.
Norma, some areas are supposed to get 4-8" of snow today---not too far away!!! Has been flurrying here all morning, and wind is bitter! Weak sun off and on.
Jo, so glad that the kids will be coming stateside! Ft. Lee truly would be great!
MORNIN' JO!---I am just taking it easy today too!---I just noticed you said your kids might get to come to FORT LEE!---That's where my husband was until he was sent to Austria!!---That would be a nice place for them to be stationed----would be so convenient!!
LOL Good morning, Lynn. Jack is not here right now, but will read him your post when he returns. I am sure he will have a come back of some kind.
Norma, Norma, Norma...you are so funny. I would go broke mailing your little packages. roflmbo
Okay, Eagle Buds! My house is calling for a good cleaning. Little boys do track in a lot of dead grass and leaves, not to mention the Bosco dog who was here as well. So, I am off to clean.
LOL, Norma---didn't say fans...said whoever named your Boys America's Team!! Going to get Herald out of trash and look for pics for you, Norma---don't recall seeing any today, but will double-check and sned to you if there!!
MORNIN'LOWREEDA!---I enjoyed looking at all your beautiful christmas trees & DECORATIONS! AWESOME!--LOVED the PANDA!---so cool!---Envy where you work -- I used to tell STEVE--I would PAY to work at NCTC!!---no response!
HEDGIE---My brother was a REDSKIN fan & DAVIN had a RED & GOLD cape! (when she was in grade school) She won't admit it---but she did!--Was there a REDSKING player named SONNY?----we used to tease her!
YES, NORMA---it is on front of B-section!!! I'll put it in tomorrows' mail to you! Nice pic of Lisa and the dogs....little Irene looks like a real sweetie! Is she still a puppy?
Oh, Jo, it wasn't outside!! I keep a brown grocery bag in basement that I put newspapers in. Only go out to trash can on Sunday evenings!! Of course, many get used to start fire, too!!
I put a picture on my blog of Michael and new GF Laura in NYC on my blog...told him next time he was in Times Square to call me...they have a cam there too...
Well I guess its too late to say good mornign but it was a race against the clouds coming back in and heaidng to the dam right after coffee and dog treats. Only got a few pictures, and a couple that are actually any good, but eagle count has doubled this week so they are getting here for sure. I will post a few on Glos Glimpses in a little while. Caught a nice sequence of some juvies either practicing their talon locking skill sor fighting over a small morsel of food. They are quite distant but will post just because its obvious they are defnitley up to something together for quite some time. Now for some sunshine and decent roads to go to enjoy them
Happy Anniversary Lynne and Steve Thanks for the photo link MeMa Jo And how is everyone who has been a little under the weather feeling today?
Hi, Glo. Glad you had a successful outing! Look forward to your pics! How's the weather? Did you get much of a storm?? DId you spend any time at the shelter over the holiday weekend?
OOOOH YES!!!---HEDGIE!---we were all just happy campers!!---They truly entertain them selves!!---They loved it outside!!---The floor was a mess--but if LISA visits---so do the dogs!---DOGS love it here!---
JO!---I posted earlier---this same newspaper took pics of LISA & DOGS about 8 years ago--when her 2 LABS were playing in the SNOW with MADDIE & ELLIS!---(not same photographer)---
Oh, Shar---definitely! We can't have another sick Momster. Cool that you transcribed for HealthSouth. Have you ever gotten an assignment that is about someone you know?? I did a few times when I was doing the wellness coaching for PEIA (WV employee health insurance).
Hedgie We had all kinds of weather this past week. Started with that treacherous morn i actually drove "slid" across the street" in freezing raint oneighbors. Then truned to heavy rain and caused all the ice and snow to pool together as drins were frozen from cold. Ice jams on the river. Then back to snow. What was supposed to be an dinch or 2 over 3 days turned to 4 to 6 inches. But it is light pretty stuff. Things are white and very pretty. Tonight below zero and wind chills worse. Tomorrow high of 14 to 18 BUT the good news is sunny and winds SW. Very best kind of lock and dam weather. So shall bundle up and hea don out. Not too many there yet still but hoping and light will be good. :-)
I missed our pair visiting. Was looking at and deleting versus saving photos and fixed a hot lunch. Sound slike many o fyou saw and enjoyed our pair though. Thats great news.
"Talked" to Suz on email---she's back to work this week. Has 200+ emails to work through! She had a peaceful Christmas. And Chrissy is still sick w/ flu. Another blizzard coming their way. No one sick w/ flu symptoms are allowed in hospital or clinic...she can get a "call out" (house call, I guess), but says she doesn't think she's that bad......no appetite; in bed w/ meds, hot tea and hot water bottle. Poor girl.
Hi,Gang, I'm back! Went and fed the bulldogs their breakfast and hung around for about an hour and a half over there before coming back home. I've got a lot of housework staring me in the face today, too. Laundry is the most urgent situation. Have some going in dryer now, and have to start another load in washer. Must run and pick up dry cleaning and 1 prescription, and mail a couple of bills. Will go to bank, too, since I'll be near there anyway. Have been working on the digital picture frame I got Hubby for Christmas. He's going to take it to work and put it on the credenza across from his desk. Have been programming pictures into it for a slide show. Has a 2GB SD card, so that's a lot of pictures! He got me a Sony Reader, Pocket Edition, which is, I think, kind of like that new Kindle comtraption. You can download e-books into it. It's a bit bigger than a Blackberry--a nice size. I have to figure it out, too. Will be lots of fun to use!
Oh, Judie! Sounds like your foot and leg are doing better! That's great! I won't say, "Be careful," 'cause I know you will be! I was up so early this morning because Hubby is at work today. He was up at 2:15, showering and making breakfast. Since I knew I had to go let the dogs out (Woof! Woof! Woof!) pretty early, I got up then, too, and stayed up. Gotta run and load the washer, then run errands. Back later! :o]
Sharon, I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well and I hope it goes away soon. I also have been feeling worse as the day goes on, cough is back, very tired but no fever. I'm slamming water and taking aspirin. Got rid of it in time for my surgery, but it's BAAAAACK.
Norma, love the picture of your daughter and grand dogs! Thanks for sending the email Jo.
Shirley, what is George's fix for his constipation?
Has anyone read "Water for Elephants"? Good book. Very interesting but not really a "happy" type of fun book.
Well the blog today goes from Kitty constipation , to eagles and ? activity on or near the nest. to folks still feeling not so good and osme feeling better. Ya never know what you will find in the conversation when you come to read the blog. :-). We used ot give our kitties something called laxatone. It was caramel or molasses like smell and flavor. Our cats loved it. It helped with fur balls and constipation. I think fluids work very well for all of the above situations though to either get things healthy or keep them that way. Time for a cup of hot tea for me. Photos are on Glo's Glimpses. First eagle photos for 2010 season.
It's been fun on here today hasn't it? Loved the photo of Norma's daughter and the 3 pups! Thanks Jo for making that possible for us, and to Norma,...for the alert!
I agree with Paula, I think the permanent fix on NCTC's John's cable splicing repair from a week or so ago, will fix things up well on our camera.... right now it looks good...right now that is. just empty
LOL, Margy....moolah from him and some from mom---and don't have the foggiest idea what to buy!!! Sure I will think of something!! But no rush....will let you know!
Well, as for not over doing today -- laundry was in progress and I thought I would just do a little stove cleaning but ended up Darth helped and we took the whole dang thing apart and cleaned. So SHINEY!
Norma, saw your beautiful daughter and her three snow companions.
Lolly, if boxes of cinnamon rolls for Norma get too full and postage too much, I will accept all boxes of cinnamon rolls C.O.D. It's okay, Norma -- I'll still share!
Jo, sure hope the luck of the draw will be Ft. Lee. Fingers crossed.
Hope all not feeling well will be better soon -- Sharon, Chrissy, Lynne (happy anniversary), Thelma, and George.
Well Norma I'm not sure...I think Ed's doggie is going to get me back. This time he was sound asleep in his bed in my bedroom. When at 5AM I couldn't sleep and decided to clean out my computer. Then of course I just couldn't stop there. I did get a look like "how long is this going to go on---ya know a guy has to get some sleep around here". lol
Judie take is slow with that leg.
Buns the smell of nice warm cinnamon buns..ones that make you do things you said you would never do...the kind that just enter your mouth and you don't know how it happened......yummmy cinnimon sounds good to me too.
I love the picture of Lisa with her 3 doggies. thanks mema jo
Even got an oil change and a new headlight while I was out.
George's problem is more serious than hairballs. He takes two kinds of medication--propulsid and a laxative. I've been giving it to him for years. Every once in awhile, he has to have a vet's help--won't go into detail. Surgery was suggested, but it was very expensive and dangerous, and that is when I asked about a daily laxative, which has worked.
Poor George gave me that "how can you do this to me?" look when I left him at the vets. He usually has to spend the night there when he has problems. Recently, I have been able to get those visits down to about once a year, much better than before.
Shirley...poor George! I know exactly what has to be done at the vet's :( If only there was a way to let him know it would make him feel better in the long run.... Is he on any special diet or canned food?
Poor George.......hope everything comes out okay, literally and figuratively. Propulsid is a human med!!! DID YOU KNOW: Almost all veterinary meds result from animal trials of human meds; they find they work so well in animals that they can then go on to human trials; in the meanwhile, they begin production for veterinary use.
Yes, George is on a prescription diet. Has been for a long time.
He got a package of kitty treats for Christmas, and I gave him a few, but I forgot to put them away, and he got into them while we were sleeping. Of course, they aren't on his diet. I do not know if that caused the problem or not; he was having some trouble already, I think.
At first when I got George's propulsid, I had to order it ahead of time and it came from a regular pharmacy somewhere. Now the vet keeps it. George is one of two kitties in the practice with the problem.
I'm asking for momster prayers for a very dear friend from work. Have learned that he has had a very severe stroke. He is only in his mid-fifties, a hard-worker, and has two lovely young daughters. Thank you--we all know the power of our prayers.
Evening Everyone. Missed the 5 PM Birds. Been working on pics & trying to print stuff & all of a sudden colors are all wrong, paper stuck halfway...AARRGGHH.The little "Toolbox" that's supposed to tell ink levels doesn't open! Been trouble shooting HP. New ink was put in recently??Test sheet looks fine. Fubby says "get a new printer"!!!!To me that would be like buying a new car 'cuz you have a flat! DUH Saw a rainbow ringed moon tonight. Gotta take pic out of camera....BBL

Hi,
Back from PT, have to take George to the vet. He is having his usual problem with constipation. Poor kitty . . .
I have had a sore throat and feeling yucky all day. Please pray it goes away fast! :)
Sorry you are ill, Sharon. Prayers for sure.
Dark lines on cam
Eagle back at BWE...looks like they've tossed the Christmas decorations
Oh, Shar---definitely! We can't have another sick Momster. Cool that you transcribed for HealthSouth. Have you ever gotten an assignment that is about someone you know?? I did a few times when I was doing the wellness coaching for PEIA (WV employee health insurance).
Shirley, does George get hairballs? Do they still prescribe dosing w/ mineral oil? Guess that would ease constipation, too.
Lynn, I typed Mommy's H&P when she was admitted to HealthSouth.
That must have been strange, Sharon.
Poor girl.
Hi,Gang,
I'm back!
Back later! :o]
Eagle with a fish at BWO
Sharon, I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well and I hope it goes away soon. I also have been feeling worse as the day goes on, cough is back, very tired but no fever. I'm slamming water and taking aspirin. Got rid of it in time for my surgery, but it's BAAAAACK.
Norma, love the picture of your daughter and grand dogs! Thanks for sending the email Jo.
Shirley, what is George's fix for his constipation?
Has anyone read "Water for Elephants"? Good book. Very interesting but not really a "happy" type of fun book.
Oh, yes, all of us around here have read Water for Elephants. Fantastic book!
Absolutely stunning photos, Glo.
How can you hold your camera still in such cold weather? The answer:
Very Well !
Good Afternoon Eagle Pals...xo
It's been fun on here today hasn't it? Loved the photo of Norma's daughter and the 3 pups! Thanks Jo for making that possible for us, and to Norma,...for the alert!
I agree with Paula, I think the permanent fix on NCTC's John's cable splicing repair from a week or so ago, will fix things up well on our camera....
right now it looks good...right now that is. just empty
I use that fast refresh after the new scene is on for five seconds, hoping to catch some HP ♥
EAgle, nest not empty anymore !
eagle!!!
Now, TWO !
DOUBLE EAGLE ALERT
BOY THE BLOG IS DRAGGIN TODAY!
Now that is a sight for sore eyes!
Diann, hope Max is there to watch this !!
Hope it makes you feel better all over, Sharon !
oh, more ghostly images...
T-bird came home early with upset stomach. I think I would rather have a sore throat!
Margy they got here around 2:30 but he's not interested in the birds. He's following mommy around and playing with uncle Chris' matchbox cars.
Glad I got to see the royal pair!
... later, maybe
Wish neither one of you had either ailment, Sharon...
hope all is well soon...
'Tis the season...for ailments too!
Glad that Max made it, Diann, and that he is having fun.
Got to run, hope that all good things come to all of you,
bundle up hereabouts...it's windy and cold.
Jo - sure will be excited to hear of that next assignment (kept typing NEST) for the German Gang ☺
Steve and Lynne -
Continued Happy Anniversy Wishes, all the day and year and life through ♥ ♥

Great pics, Glo!!!
Going to put foot/leg up for awhile.
Having dinner with youngest son's family.... BBL

Hi!
I'm back from my errands. Hubby is home, and hungry, so gotta heat up dinner. Will be back later!
Hi,
Even got an oil change and a new headlight while I was out.
I know exactly what has to be done at the vet's :(
If only there was a way to let him know it would make him feel better in the long run....
Lynn, I did know that propulsid is used in humans. It has been pretty expensive, too, for a vetenary medication.
Yes, Lynne, the vet has said that I don't want George back right away when they have treated him, so it has always involved an overnight stay.
That is an interesting fact about medications, Lynn.
At first when I got George's propulsid, I had to order it ahead of time and it came from a regular pharmacy somewhere. Now the vet keeps it. George is one of two kitties in the practice with the problem.
I thought Propulsid was deemed unsafe??
I'm asking for momster prayers for a very dear friend from work. Have learned that he has had a very severe stroke. He is only in his mid-fifties, a hard-worker, and has two lovely young daughters. Thank you--we all know the power of our prayers.
Great Horned Owl in the snow at the carcass on Pix Pa Woods.....
I think that I read that they don't use it for people anymore, but I do not know why. Tell me what you know, Sharon.
Prayers for your friend, Lynn.
Lynn - Prayers for your friend. Stroke for a very young person in 50's. Do you know if they got to him in time to use the clot buster?
Seems like it caused heart problems in humans but probably not the same action with cats. I would think that has been checked out!
Wow! It is snowy in the Pa woods tonight. Guess that owl really needs plenty of food to keep warm and active.
How is your throat this evening, Sharon
Is Thelma feeling any better....
Mattie is there - is she ok?
I sound like 20 questions! lol
I will ask the vet tomorrow.
Shirley - I think he is trying to eat a frozen meal!
I wonder what the owl hears..........
That wasn't nice switching the view just when it got interesting...
Wind is getting noisy
My throat is still sore. Thelma is feeling some better but still sick. Mattie is feeling great! :)
Yes, I expect the food is frozen.
DUH
Saw a rainbow ringed moon tonight. Gotta take pic out of camera....BBL
I saw the ring around the moon, too, Loretta.
Isn't that ring fromt he ice crytals in the air?
Made son and GF shrimp alfredo tonight...yum! They have gone to hang out with other brother...
Yes, I think that is what causes the ring, Paula.
