There is a gallinipper flying around my room tonight. Probably not a good idea. George is nearby.

Evening everyone. All this talk about pizza caserole makes we wonder if I missed something. Lynn would you email the recipe to me too? I love cheese pizzas and a caserole seems like a quick "fix."

I missed our eagles today - AGAIN!!! I can't seem to catch them at the right time. Even had my Jim watch for them when he was online, which isn't very often. He did notify me when the eagle in Maine was in the nest. Yipee! saw an eagle today.

Had a visit from my little sister from Memphis tonight who was visiting the homestead. She flies back tomorrow and it's always nice to sit and talk with her when she comes up.

The little panda is always alone when I check on him. Is that normal or am I just not watching at the right time there either?

TV stinks tonight - all repeats. Maybe I should catch up on my reading.

... later

Diann, you've got mail!
So nice that you got to spend time with your sister!
It's pretty normal to see Diego alone more and more, as Bai needs to be out eating more in order to build her strength back up from the laziness of pregnancy and momhood, as well as to meet increased nursing demands of the cub!

PA Nana said...

Crunch, I saw that doe's hooves too. I remember a horse that had the same problem and needed to have the hooves trimmed, or whatever it's called, frequently.

Anonymous said...

Hooves are split. but those are curved up and long. weired

hedgie said...

Jo, please don't suggest I volunteer at the snowman cam.......yuck, yuck! Can't keep up with my own leaves!

PA Nana said...

Thanks Lynn. Sure sounds good.

magpie said...

I'll be nightowling long enough to wait it out with you Loretta ♥

magpie said...

Will be watching for that deer, Bob....

floralgirl said...

Yeah, I'm here, only had one school today, and because of the rain we couldn't run the hayride...which is always disapointing for the kids. Most likely tomorrow will be a wash out too. Been a tough October.

magpie said...

sorry to hear that, Megan...seems like it is either diamonds, or stones...

hedgie said...

Cloven/split hooves, and a blog split and a gallyknipper all on one page!!! Shirley, I had one over the weekend that I couldn't catch---found it dead in sunroom yesterday---it probably flew into the ceiling fan!! Had another stink bug flying around last night, but got it when it landed on light!

Judie said...

Hi Diann, nice you had a visit with your sister.

What the heck is a gallinipper?

Don't remember seeing so may deer at both sites. Sure hope the Snowman deer catches the bear scent before it arrives.

Time to call it a day. Turning off my light but will leave the night light on for others. Maybe now that Andy's back with us she will remember to set the eye scan alarm.

Until tomorrow,
Judie

magpie said...

Man oh Man, Loretta, those are fantastic pictures...and really something when they are enlarged!
Bravo!

magpie said...

Megan, one last question, how is your daughter doing?

magpie said...

The sounds at Pix Pa are as much like a fire crackling as rain falling, love the way the rain is poinking that metal

floralgirl said...

Much better, thanks:)

magpie said...

Great...

magpie said...

Good opportunity to say Good Night to the tail-gaters here...
or is it Tale-Gaters?

Hope the morning brings new treats and lots of wellness....

Hi, Gang,
Jumping in really quickly to say howdy, and goodnight! Not caught up on the blog, so hope to do so in the morning. Prayers for everyone being said, for healing where needed, and for a good night's sleep.
The night light's on, and the eye scanner is enabled. Anyone comes in later, please don't slam the door or let in any stink bugs! Talk to you tomorrow morning. Sweet dreams! :o]

Lolly said...

Okay, Lynn, my lips are sealed about DWTS!!

What was that flying around? Someone called it a Gallinipper. Never have heard of such! Then Deb called it a big mosquito.

We have some kind of huge mosquito looking thing that we call a "Mosquito Killer". Wonder if it is the same thing?

Talked with Laurel and watched TV. Going to FT Worth early in the morning to get tickets for the Nutcracker. Laurel and I are going. Tomorrow can get the tickets for half price, as we are "Press Pass Holders." But, have to go to the box office to get the tickets.

Lolly said...

Nite all!

Sweet dreams!

I was reading comments on here about the goodness that the public has shown to our servicemen...reminded me of yesterday when I went to the hospital to pick up Gene. The nurse shook his hand and thanked him for his service to our country. It was the VA hospital, that's how she knew he was military. I thought that was outstanding! Made me pround to be his wife:)
BTW, MARGY, Gene didn't wait long to have a good meal. We had spaghetti for supper last night. I gave him about half of what he normally would have eaten and a bowl of green peas. He had no trouble getting any of it down.
After he got home and settled in, he slept most of the evening.

I had a lady to phone me tonight after I had closed the shop, and said she had three kids in her car, in my driveway, who needed costumes. We had already eaten supper, so I opened back up for her. She spent $83.00 and wrote her check out for $93.00 as a way of thanking me for opening back up.
I was flabberghasted. Don't see that much in these parts!

Think I need some sleep.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL

Very nice of you to open the shop for her, Wanda.

Kid is back in school. We don't do flu shots here. Never had one.
Day is way too soggy, most groups cancelled, couple want to run anyway. No hayride possible, but we will try to have some fun.

magpie said...

Eagle left, raven took the food, and the crows were squalling

Dunedin nest full of crows !

Costume Lady said...

GOOD MORNING MARGY, NORMA AND MEGAN.
I've been looking out for our nest visitors since 7am and nothing yet. It must be too wet and soggy for them.

Margy, the costumes the youngsters chose were "Teachers Pet" and "Gangster". Their ages were around 12 and 16. Had a friend along who helped them by hanging up the costumes they tried and didn't want...what a help she was!

magpie said...

That's cool, Wanda...
Our nest does look soggy, but the colors are great !

normabyrd said...

Missed ME EAGLE--

magpie said...

speaking of colors, PIX PA looks great too, has some blue jays on the ground which really dazzle

Judie said...

Good morning.

Hope everyone has a lovely day, rain or shine.

magpie said...

You TOO Judie...

Ms Bookworm said...

Good Morning, Ladies!

Good to 'see' you this morning! I'm here kinda early, hoping to see our eagles. Have missed them lately because I was late getting here; hope to remedy that today.

Megan, looks like you're finally getting caught up with the rain.
Hope you're not TOO soggy!

My Hubby is home from work today, and scheduled to see the Dr. this morning. He's coughing more, and his chest feels tighter. One of his inhalers ran out--the albuterol. Figure better safe than sorry, so got him an appt. this morning. No fever, so hope it's just that he needs another inhaler to loosen things up. Any prayers you're prompted to pray would be appreciated.

Margy, forgot to mention that night before last I got a really good view of the moon and Jupiter--absolutely beautiful!

Saw a mention of a critter called a 'Gallinipper' last night. If it looks like a giant mosquito, it may be what I've always known as a Crane Fly. They're big, and scary looking, but totally harmless. Wonder if it's the same thing.

Gosh, the gardeners came and prettied up the yard yesterday, and got rid of all the leaves, and then the winds started up again last night. More leaves--oh, well. Guess it's just that time of year.

normabyrd said...

MORNIN' WANDA!!---Are you looking forward to HALLOWEEN being over---or do you enjoy meeting all the people & the visiting?----I would love it!!--

magpie said...

Morning Andy too...
Hope you get to see the eagles, and that Mr. Andy gets some relief pronto!
Good luck on the test tonight...

I have to shake the other leg now and get crackin'

TTFN xo

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Judie!

Hope you have a good day, too. What's the weather like in your neck of the woods?

normabyrd said...

ANDY!---Will keep your husband in my thoughts & prayers---feel most sure he just needs a new inhaler!!!--I use one of those twice a day---

normabyrd said...

MORNIN' JUDIE!!--Wishing you a GREAT day too!----I think maybe our rain may be over---for a while??

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Norma,
Yes, I tend to agree with you. Hubby still has the inhaler that he's to use twice a day, but the one that ran out was the one he's to use whenever needed. Hope a new one does the trick!

Ms Bookworm said...

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers on Hubby's behalf--they're much appreciated!

Ms Bookworm said...

Almost forgot to mention that there was a mention on the news this morning in one of those 'strips' at the bottom of the screen, that the extension of unemployment benefits passed a hurdle in the senate. That's certainly good news for me! Have been waiting and waiting to hear from the EDD again.

normabyrd said...

Must check on DIGEO & then get moving---have study group this am-----& I haven't done the 'study' part!!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Good morning my eagle budlets.

I won a Snuggie on facebook yesterday!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Trying to get my mind working this morning but not having a very easy time of it!

hedgie said...

Ho, Normabyrd----thiunk I meant farrier not furrier last night!!!! But you know what I meant!
Have no idea if gallyknipper is an official word for those crazy fliers or not, but they do look exactly like a mosquito about ten x bigger!!!! But they don't bite!!

Great news on u/e benefits, Andy!!!
As for hubby....he should also be taking Mucinex DM!!! Most doctors recommend that anytime someone has chest congestion. It's over the counter, and I take it everyday to help prevent anything from thickening up!

In case you are not on Suzanne's email list: ALERT! DO NOT SEND HER ANY MORE
EMAILS at work! Only use her yahoo address. Her company has lost its contract with the government and she has no idea where or what she will doing probably until next week!! If you need her yahoo address, email me and I will send it to you.
