Will have to try to get to the phone store this weekend.
I left here kind of abruptly yesterday--sorry about that! Hubby got home a bit late, and had pulled into the garage; I had to run and move the other car so he could get his car door open. Got busy heating up some dinner, and didn't get back here. He was REALLY busy at work yesterday after taking more than a week off during the kids' visit, and had much to tell.
Lynn and Judie, you asked if I had school on Monday night--nope, it's Wednesday and Friday nights. I do have quite a bit of studying to do, for a Pharmacology test on Wednesday, and an Anatomy test on Friday. Three weeks left in the semester! No more Anatomy/Physiology homework handouts for the rest of the semester--we're supposed to concentrate on doing our Project instead. Pharmacology is driving me to distraction. Having trouble learning so MANY generic and brand name drug names. I don't know how doctors manage to remember all of them! I'm not the only one having trouble with it--everyone is! Hope teacher decides to grade on the curve!
Oops--gardener is here; gotta go talk to him. Have one sprinkler head that came unscrewed, and now there's a geyser when sprinklers go on. Gotta get him to fix it! BBIALW.... :o]
Well, don't know about CA but my surgeons have a thing that looks like a cell phone and they just look this stuff up -- don't have to memorize if you're a doc I guess.

Anatomy teacher let us for a while, but some idiot cheated and used a much bigger size card, and ruined it for everyone! WOOF!!!
Got on here on the retarded 'puter!!! Adult eagle perched in tree by boat ramp. Greg K. drove me down there & we got 48 pics!!! I'll be busy tonight if I can stay awake.
We are back. Saw 6 eagles. The one that called as I go out of the car. One flying. Beautiful site. 4 others in different I call them dead trees. They have a fabulous gift shop. Talked to the ladies in the gift shop. They love watching the osprey and eagles. Saw a beautiful blue heron but no deer. Stop to have a late lunch Judie no g&t had wine. Big glass think it was a water glass. BBL
got to unload car of groceries....I got low-lights this time....needed to tone down the blond from summer....right before Christmas will get the highlights....got it cut short too....
was getting into my car out in Potomac, MD...and got confused for a second, and Ocean City police cruiser drove by....don't ask me what he was doing there....if I could have got up to him I would have asked him........
Little local 4 y.o. girl who called 911 to save her mother from a severe asthma attack was featured on the CBS Morning Show today, and it was just replayed on Ch. 9 news! She had called her dad first and he told her to call 911---and she was very good with the dispatcher, who was also very good with her! Good part is that she was on a cell phone and that Jefferson Co. had just recently upgraded system to be able to locate via cell tower pings!
He was sure far afield, Mits! Maybe had to be a trial or something. Bet your "do" looks really nice! Ceil, so glad you had a nice field trip! We all will need to plan that sometime next year!!
Had an interesting thing just happen....got a conflicting edit message from blogger cop---hit refresh and it asked me if I wanted to retry----clicked on that and it posted my comment!!
Mits I was thinking that he had to come here to appear in court. Jim loved it. He said he has never seen so many eagles. He took some pictures but it did start to drizzle.
Things are finally getting better on this end. I have missed the bog and guess I have missed the annyal visit to open house again. We were getting Josh home from Ft. Bragg, so he could get his car and some clothes to take back.
Have to get dinner, but will check in. Had our nest on for the kids this morning and also the site in Pa. and Pete's Pond for a minute, All our computers have been wiped cleaned so I lost all my bird sites there and also on our computer here. But I will get them all back a little at a time, I hope
Yes, I guess he will be at Ft. Bragg as of now. He is in the 82nd Airbourne division in the CBRN section as of now. His unit is just slowly coming back home through Oct and Nov. He has just found an apartment about fifteen minutes from base so now we will have to get his furniture down there. He wants to go to ocs but also wants to wait awhile first.
Ft. Bragg is about 4and a half hours from here. No marriage; that is finally settled and down the tubes. He keeps wanting to try to make it work, she isn't interested. Just wants to be friends, so that has finally been settled. It would have been a year Oct. 5th. She has too much wrong with her to think of anyone else and her mother babies her so. They are nice people, but don't have tome for anyone else in their lives.
Candy, so good to see you! Saw your picture with Josh on FB and he's looking fine! You, too---could tell how proud you were of him! Hope that ALL things are better now. Hope Josh gets to stay at Bragg!
that's too bad, but "it is what it is", doesn't sound like she was ready to be settle down, just wanted the fun of the wedding....I always tell young people, the wedding is one day, the marriage is a lifetime.
Hey you all. WANDA your two daughters are in a beautiful part of the Outer Banks. Don't get up there much. It will be a nicer trip for them once they get a bridge build from the mainland to the island up on the northern end. That way they won't have to come all the way down to go back up.
Candy, much better that it end now rather than later after there were any kids. Could tell from the beginning that her mama ruled the roost---and was trying to rule yours, too!
OK Megan. You got me all excited and by the time I got the pic up, GONE
Lolly, I was going to retire after this year but am hedging a bit now. I like my new teacher and it keeps be busy and my mind occupied. That way I am not worrying about what is going on with Josh and the military. Heaven help me if and when he gets deployed. Work will probably be the only thing that will keep me sane
Candy, just remember that we are always here for you. Have a good friend with three sons. She has gone through deployment with all three. Do not know how she does it! But,we are here to listen and pray at any time!
Candy, is a bridge in the works??? That sure would be nice for those who prefer the upper peninsula! I, of course, as I've told you, prefer Hatteras and Ocracoke! Lisa from Blackwater said that someone saw 17 bears down at Alligator River NWR last week!!! I've never seen even one there!
Thanks LOLLY for the kind words. It is in God's hands. He has his plans and Josh seems happy to be where he is; now that he has finally found a place to live for the time being until the divorce goes through. I have to put my trust in God and I know you are all like family to me. I have really missed being continually on the blog.
Candy - I pray that when deployment comes up for Josh that you will have a superb support group of mothers, wives and girl friends. You will bond with them as you have with us eagle watchers. Keep in touch with us! Prayers for Josh and his family will always be said! ((hugs))
The F.A.A. took unusually swift action against the two pilots. Capt. Timothy B. Cheney, 53, of Gig Harbor, Wash., who was hired by Northwest in 1985 and had 20,000 hours of experience, and First Officer Richard I. Cole, 54, of Salem, Ore., who was hired in 1997 and had about 11,000 hours of experience.
They are supposed to be looking into the north bridge a lot more lately. It is sounding better and better. AND yes there are bears over there. You have to watch out you don't run into them with your car. Sometimes there are more than others. I used to travel that way to take Josh to the School of Science and Math in Durham and then to Chapel Hill before he got his own wheels. I hated driving back that way at night. That was also before the four lane roads and the guard rails went up along the sides where they had the canals. At night it would get desolate and you never knew what you would see
Neither one of my girls want to come home! Spoke with both of them last night and they were laughing and giggling like they did when they were teenagers:) Denise got to see the wild horses...she has never seen a wild horse before. Also saw a red fox on the deck and said they could have gone out and petted it. Glad they didn't! Saw deer, also.
The girls drove their truck down to the beach, last night, turned the lights on and went looking for sea shells. Got bags full:) I am getting BEACH FEVER!
Thanks so much Jo. It is good to see you are still the number 1 Eagle Momster on here. I hope all is well with you and yours Jo. You all are never far from my heart. Since I missed this years October open house at NCTC again, I am planning on getting there next year, one way or the other. How about a visit in the late spring. Anyone talking about that yet. LOL That is the one reason I would like to be retired; I'd be able to do these things
Right now the girls might be a little chilly at their beach house. It has been cloudy and was warm this am when I went to school, but when I came home, the wind was a blowing and it had cooled off.
Like I said, they are in a beautiful area up thee.
Maybe Sharon is so tied up with her new TRAIN songs that she has forgotten about the be##ch.
Candy - inside joke this season as it seemed that everyone got to the beach except Sharon. She even stayed home with all the dogs so Bev and all could go. She puts a hate curse on us when we mention the be##ch! lol
I am getting beach fever IF the found sea shells. Went to the beach twice this summer and no shells! Made me so made. That is what is fun, walking and beach combing for shells.
They have been there a long time, or so it seems. How long have they been there, Wanda?
Hey Megan. When I hear your name I think of all your beauatiful flowers that you grow. How was your season this year. If I ever get up that way, I would love to see you at the market in Shepherdstown so I can get some
Yep, hours sounds more like it, Megan, LOL...the B word occurs all the time when Candy joins in!!! Don't think Sharon will hold that against her----we should all be so lucky to live where she does!!
Looks like I picked a heck of a day to be at work! What a bunch of Tales or is it Tails there are to read about.. Yay the Osprey at Dunedin, Mits....good catch! And Jo's pictures from the late morning visit are Fabulous! xo Hi Everyone ☺
That is good news Megan. Hope the holiday season is good to you. Hey MAGGIE, Good to be able to see you on here now too. Josh and all the military personnel appreciate all your prayers and well wishes.
You told me a story about what you and your daughter did for a soldier one day. Well Josh and a few other soldiers went out to eat on a weekend to a sushi place, I guess. He said they were living it up after some heavy training and ordered the works. He got talking to this gentleman who was with his wife and sitting at the same station as they all were. He said that man paid for all of their dinners. He was shocked. So there are a lot of good people who are out there and show their appreciation like you and your daughter did and it really makes them feel good.
Candy - maybe you can share Josh's mailing address on the E-M page or individually....last year we were sending cards to Jo's grandsons Patrick and Ryan, and want to do that again soon too....
the little story Candy referred to...James and I waited an hour for his haircut turn....a soldier came in, we decided to give up our turn for the soldier...so he got to jump ahead of about seven other customers....no one lost out, because we left after that.... it meant a lot to James....then we found an Afro-American barber shop and really extended our adventures that day!
Good evening everyone! I had quite a time catching up on all of the messages this evening. I'm watching the raccoons at Pix Pa. It sounds like an old fashioned train whistle. Guess it is a siren or something. Also sounds like it is raining there.
Going through some of the same thoughts as Candy about retirement. I really need the income, though. Mine is not a second income. Got a late start on mortgage payments. Wouldn't mind living in a condo or something, but they are expensive, too. I also wonder what I would do with my time, but if I should happen to win the lottery or something, I could surely solve that one in a hurry.
It has also become better at work since I moved up from ninth grade to the older students.
I've encountered young soldiers when I've had Hunter along. He is always so impressed with the uniform and I enjoy telling the soldiers how much Hunter is admiring them.
I thought it had to be, Helen. I have heard them there before, but something really made them sound like train whistles. Odd. Don't think there are likely to be steam locomotives out there!
Candy it really makes you feel humble to be worthy of all their sacrifices just to do that little something! I guess the best part was sneaking out of the restaurant and knowing you did good but didn't need to be told! I do wish Jenny and I could have seen their faces when no bill came to their table!
The Pizza Casserole was a big success in the firehall mess....only complaint was why didn't Shannon make more? And they want to know how soon he's making it again!!! Thanks, Paula---your recipe surely is a hit!
Ssshhhh, Shirley---if Sharon thinks there's a train at PIX-PA, she'll be headed that way!!!
Citizens do those nice things for firefighters, too. One day Shannon and his buddy were getting groceries for the firehall----customer behind them in line insisted on paying the bill---$180.00! Citizens also are always bringing them food at the station on holidays!
Ah yes, Firefighters.... when I first moved in here, could not eat much and didn't have the heart to cook either...called my friends at the city fire department and asked them if they could package up some leftovers for me, got leftovers, AND a dinner invitation, AND a gift card.... have eaten at the Martinsburg Fire Department many times! Have made many a cookie for those fine folks.
Oh, Margy, sweet girl, so glad the guys took care of you at that trying time! Don't think I would have survived everything if it weren't for some of my guy friends at GM, too!! One built my chimney at cost, and installed my ovens. One provided my claw-foot tub. Of course, Bill gave me a big break on my carpet. And he and Frank and Dougie all gladly helped out financially whenever needed that first year----and sometimes wouldn't let me re-pay!
Ceil, at first I thought it was because of baseball, but there aren't any games on network TV tonight, so.....who knows?? Guess it's an 8 or 9 week hiatus!
I never see any action from the Falcons - they are always sleeping. Jim told us today about the banding being rescheduled.... Tuesday October 27, 2009 Banding day has been rescheduled to next Wednesday November 4, 2009 due to a change in the availability of the travel tower. Mounted on an artificial structure 50 meters off the ground, the researchers need a specialized travel tower to access the nest box. Thank you to all of our online viewers who have sent in their name nominations for our three chicks. The final names will be revealed on banding day next week.
A spike deer will have two tines only....the first time a male will sprout a small rack (button bucks have two little teeny tiny nubs) and usually spikes the second year - bet someone beats me to this definition
Lynn, great story about the 911 call -- so great, sometimes, when youngster are good at technology.
Hi Candy. Glad life is looking up for Josh. Don't stay away so long.
I WANT TO RIDE THE TR___N TO THE B____CH WITH MEAGAN! I didn't get to the the B---CH this summer, either.
Didn't know about the 15 year old being charged with homicide. Still haven't even read today's paper or seen the news. I'll get back on that after I have some information.
Speaking of not being caught up, think I'll try to catch up now.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the new thread, Steve.
Hi Jo.
Will someone send me the link for the Maine eagles. I guess I missed a fowl good time today.
Back after I get home.
Judie
I think on a day like today we have panda nappers and ladies going out to
get beautiful new hair dos!
Thanks Judie for the heads up on the
new thread.
Judie I'll send it in an email to you. It was quite a show between the Eagle and the Raven!
Maine nest is back up
Thanks for the call over Judie...and thanks for the new thread, STeve.
ME nest is MT now.
EAGLE ALERT!
Hi, Everyone!
Getting kind of a late start here. Have a bit of catching up to do on the blog. Have been doing some wash and tidying up the house; don't want to get behind in housework if at all possible. Must find time to transfer a few pictures from the camera to the computer. Have some good pictures in my cell phone too, but need the cord that fits my phone in order to transfer.
BBIALW.... :o]
Andy,
Well, don't know about CA but my surgeons have a thing that looks like a cell phone and they just look this stuff up -- don't have to memorize if you're a doc I guess.
Sorry, but by the time I posted the eagle alert the nest was MT.
Thanks Jo. I'll check my home email when I get there.
Judie
Yep, Andy, Judie is right---they use a PDA or some such contraption to look up drug stuff...Drs. can't keep up with it all, either!! Pharmacists know a whole lot more!!!
Signing off, but I wanted to tell you that there are a couple of interesting recent comments on the Frodocam site.
Indirect evidence (to us) that the Peregrine pair are still in the area and are now nesting.
The banding of the Alcoa chicks has been put off until next Wednesday.
C(°ٿ°)D
Jim
Thanks, Jim...forgot all about the banding...glad I didn't miss it this week...I'll probably forget it again and miss it next week!
Glad our eagles have been around so much today!
I think Ceil is getting wet!
Raven back at Maine looking for nestovers
Lynn and Judie,
Thanks--I don't feel like such a half-wit! I knew those doctors had to be using some kind of cheat sheet or something! There's a big book that lists all of them, too. Physician's Desk Reference, or something like that, I think. Wish this teacher let us use a 3x5 index card to list some of the really tough names! Anatomy teacher let us for a while, but some idiot cheated and used a much bigger size card, and ruined it for everyone! WOOF!!!
Got on here on the retarded 'puter!!!
Adult eagle perched in tree by boat ramp. Greg K. drove me down there & we got
48 pics!!!
I'll be busy tonight if I can stay awake.
Found a small one...gone now
Well, gotta go find some lunch. Will BBIALW.
Jim, thanks for the reminder about the Alcoa chicks--put a note on my calendar so I won't forget.
Snowing in Oregon!
Oh cool, Lowreeda!
Maine back down
Sunrise at Alcoa
My bad..it was me, not Maine
I am back and now beautiful! ha! Highlighted and cut...does a person wonders.
I think I got off the blog, it split and immediately the eagles came. Ahhhhhhggggg!!!!
Hi Jo, you've got mail.
Hey Paula, is it you or Maine that's down? Hope it isn't you!
Well, I think pork chops with acorn squash (smashed with some butter and maple syrup)and maybe a salad.
Bet you look beauteous Lolly.
Glad you got some pics Lowreeda.
Happy Gene got a "clean" bill of health.
Hope Ceil stayed dry -- until it's G&T time.
Judie
Sounds really cool, Loretta----can't wait to see pics! Assuming that it was one of your nesting pair...but no way to know for sure!
There's always one who ruins it for the rest, Andrea!
Judie, menu sounds good!!! Planning pizza here!
Lolly, are you rested as well as bootiful??!! You and Mits both look like a million $$!
Oh, no...won't be home next Weds!!! Wonder what time they are doing the banding? Might be actually Tues. night here, maybe???
Yup, probably Tues night, Hedgie.
Heading over to friends house for dinner...catch ya'll later!
Stop to have a late lunch Judie no g&t had wine. glad you had a nice visit Ceil, it is such a wonderful peaceful calm place to visit...
got to unload car of groceries....I got low-lights this time....needed to tone down the blond from summer....right before Christmas will get the highlights....got it cut short too....

Lynn good story.
Hey there Ceil Hedgie, Paula, Lolly, Naturenut, etc. I see that our eagles are starting to work on the nest
I was at school early this am and saw the two of them in the nest. Saw a Wanda post from the other day too.
I tried to reply on line, but the school computer wouldn't let me do any blogging. I'll have to look into that more
I also saw an eagle at the BW Osprey nest
Mits I was thinking that he had to come here to appear in court.
Jim loved it. He said he has never seen so many eagles. He took some pictures but it did start to drizzle.
Mits - for a moment I bet you didn't know for sure where you were when you saw that cruiser!
Candy so good to hear from you. How are things going?
Mits the lady liked my eagle earrings. They sell bamboo products.
Things are finally getting better on this end. I have missed the bog and guess I have missed the annyal visit to open house again. We were getting Josh home from Ft. Bragg, so he could get his car and some clothes to take back.
Good to see that everyone is still up and chatting. We have been having computer problems too and that situation is still ongoing
I hope everyone is doing well; living healthy and happy lives
Candy I am still having computer problems but as long as I can get the cams and blog I am happy.
Candy did you hear Mits has a new grandson
Have to get dinner, but will check in. Had our nest on for the kids this morning and also the site in Pa. and Pete's Pond for a minute, All our computers have been wiped cleaned so I lost all my bird sites there and also on our computer here. But I will get them all back a little at a time, I hope
Will Josh stay at Ft. Bragg? How far is that from you?
Oh how nice Mits. Congratulations! I take it all is well with baby and mom. You lucky duck
I just deleted about 900 emails from Yahoo and am starting out fresh, so haven't kept up on much there
yes I did get a little confused when I saw the cruiser....I only had a piece of chicken for lunch, so thought maybe I was hallucinating
Lynn I always get that message and do the retry and it post my comment.... about the only thing that works easy on this blog....
Candy, yes everything is fine.....good to see you on here....
Good for him, Candy, sounds like he has found his niche.
Ft. Bragg is about 4and a half hours from here. No marriage; that is finally settled and down the tubes. He keeps wanting to try to make it work, she isn't interested. Candy, so good to see you! Saw your picture with Josh on FB and he's looking fine! You, too---could tell how proud you were of him! Hope that ALL things are better now. Hope Josh gets to stay at Bragg!
Hi Candy! How is the school year. Still like the new teacher you are with?
EAGLE!!!
Hi, Candy...good to hear from you. Think about you often. Both of my daughters are down you way right now. Swan Beach in Corolla.
that's too bad, but "it is what it is", doesn't sound like she was ready to be settle down, just wanted the fun of the wedding....I always tell young people, the wedding is one day, the marriage is a lifetime.
POOF!
Glad things are going better for Josh. really good to hear from you
Megan, are you seeing things?
@#$#@ missed it...
Candy, go to my blog and you can see pics of Mits' new grandson!!
Apparently a touch and go! lol
Possibly.... but I did see an eagle.
Benjamin Patrick...born 10/14...8lbs 20 inches.....Big sisters Maggie and Molly are doing fine too:)
at this time of night think it would be fast.....no sense staying in the nest if they don't have to
Candy if you are still here Are you going to retire this year?
Hey you all. WANDA your two daughters are in a beautiful part of the Outer Banks. Don't get up there much. It will be a nicer trip for them once they get a bridge build from the mainland to the island up on the northern end. That way they won't have to come all the way down to go back up.

That way I am not worrying about what is going on with Josh and the military. Heaven help me if and when he gets deployed. Work will probably be the only thing that will keep me sane
Wayward pilots have lost their licenses!
MITS How are Maggie and Milly doig with the new brother. They are probably like helpful little mothers.
Candy you are right. Keep working if you like it.
Candy, just remember that we are always here for you. Have a good friend with three sons. She has gone through deployment with all three. Do not know how she does it! But,we are here to listen and pray at any time!
Wow. Lynn good news but ashame. I think the one pilot had 35 years and over 20,000 miles I might be wrong.
Oh MITS, Benjamin Patrick is just beautiful. And both MOM and DAD look like proud parents.

Ceil, with that many yrs. hope he has more miles than that!!! LOL---just teasing you...typo is my middle name.
Yep, stupid way to let your career end.
Candy - if your health lets you - work as long as you enjoy it! You'll know when it is time to call it quits!!
Megan - I believe you! After all one of them has to come into the nest to turn on the night light!
what a shame that they ended their careers on such a stupid act.....yes, Candy if you are liking work and it keeps your mind off of things...stay:)
Candy - I pray that when deployment comes up for Josh that you will have
a superb support group of mothers, wives and girl friends. You will bond with them as you have with us eagle watchers. Keep in touch with us!

Saw deer, also.
glad they are having a good time, Wanda
The girls drove their truck down to the beach, last night, turned the lights on and went looking for sea shells. Got bags full:)
I am getting BEACH FEVER!
me too....looking to go back down sometime in November...maybe when they get the Christmas lights up...and go shopping in Berlin MD.
Beach fever is highly contagious!
oh no......we said the "B" word....
I'm telling Sharon...
I'm standing right behind you, Megan
yes, Candy there usually is a get together in the spring
Right now the girls might be a little chilly at their beach house. It has been cloudy and was warm this am when I went to school, but when I came home, the wind was a blowing and it had cooled off.
Like I said, they are in a beautiful area up thee.
Candy, sorry to hear of your son's issues. Sure things will eventually work out the way they are supposed to.
Hey MITS. No hurricanes this year. We got lucky here and in Maryland again this year. I hope it lasts
Hey, I never made it to the beach either....
Hey Megan. When I hear your name I think of all your beauatiful flowers that you grow.
How was your season this year. If I ever get up that way, I would love to see you at the market in Shepherdstown so I can get some
I had a good season this year, Candy. Gearing up to get into the holiday season, will be cutting greens in a few weeks.
Megan is a tattle tale! or is it Tattle Tail? lol
Before I miss the opportunity:
Welcome Home Candy ! ☺ ♥
Boy, we have missed you.
We were RED around here on Fridays for the Military...that includes your Josh !
I live at the b each and only went over there maybe twice the whole summer. Too much traffic and too many people.
How has Sharon made out from her operation? I hope all is well with her now
Candy, we did not go to open house this year, but plan to go next year. Hope you will be there!
It's tale, thank you... what are you implying...tail...
Many of us got some beautiful Megan Flowers and Plants this year...
Yep, hours sounds more like it, Megan,
LOL...the B word occurs all the time when Candy joins in!!! Don't think Sharon will hold that against her----we should all be so lucky to live where she does!!
LOl NOT implying anything!
Sharon seems to be doing very well.
Health problems were finally resolved.
Looks like I picked a heck of a day to be at work! What a bunch of Tales or is it Tails there are to read about..
Yay the Osprey at Dunedin, Mits....good catch!
And Jo's pictures from the late morning visit are Fabulous!
xo Hi Everyone ☺
Great adventure that Ceil and Jimmy had at BWO today, can't wait to see some pictures.
Oh yes! We still need to get MEGAN to the beach!
Ceil's field trip today sounds absolutely fantastic. So jealous but happy for her.
Megan just call me....I'm ready when you are:)
So there are a lot of good people who are out there and show their appreciation like you and your daughter did and it really makes them feel good.
yes Margy, if I knew how to take pics of Maine would have done it for you.....what fun it was watching the raven and Eagle there today
BOOYAH for the military.....we love them:)
Well again, I am off. Dinner is calling. Great to be able to see you all on here today. You all have a wonderful evening.
What a wonderful blessing for the soldiers, Candy.... they deserve those kinds of acts of kindness all the time....
some nasty growling with the raccoons at PIX
Well, I'm ready. Mits, but my schedule isn't willing...
Mits
Your commentaries were perfect today....could envision it so well ! Maybe I will catch a little action Wednesday....
It was so much fun watching them....:)
Candy -
maybe you can share Josh's mailing address on the E-M page or individually....last year we were sending cards to Jo's grandsons Patrick and Ryan, and want to do that again soon too....
then they can get a feel for some of your Crazy but Loving Friends ☺
well the beach is nice in the winter too, relaxing, got the fireplace.....all the restaurants are open
Would have loved to the see the eagle and raven today. Sounded very interesting and entertaining.
Going to go warm up supper. Having left over stew and dumpings.
Lolly I'm sure there will be a video of it from "the forum that never sleeps"
the little story Candy referred to...James and I waited an hour for his haircut turn....a soldier came in, we decided to give up our turn for the soldier...so he got to jump ahead of about seven other customers....no one lost out, because we left after that....
it meant a lot to James....then we found an Afro-American barber shop and really extended our adventures that day!
Great! Had not thought of that. Will check later.
Well...back to one-liners, headed next door for a neighbor visit, back later ☺ xo ♥
It has also become better at work since I moved up from ninth grade to the older students.
was a fire siren, Shirley, than you heard the fire trucks going out at PIX
What a nice gesture, Margy.
Candy it really makes you feel humble to be worthy of all their sacrifices
just to do that little something!
I guess the best part was sneaking out of the restaurant and knowing you did good but didn't need to be told! I do wish Jenny and I could have seen their faces when no bill came to their table!
it really is nice that people recognize their sacrifices that they and their families make for all of us....
The Pizza Casserole was a big success in the firehall mess....only complaint was why didn't Shannon make more? And they want to know how soon he's making it again!!! Thanks, Paula---your recipe surely is a hit!
NCIS is a repeat.
Lynn if you have that recipe can you send it to me, please, thought I had it
Ssshhhh, Shirley---if Sharon thinks there's a train at PIX-PA, she'll be headed that way!!!
Citizens do those nice things for firefighters, too. One day Shannon and his buddy were getting groceries for the firehall----customer behind them in line insisted on paying the bill---$180.00! Citizens also are always bringing them food at the station on holidays!
15. y.o. girl booked on murder one for killing a 9 y.o. girl in Missouri. Judie.....comments??
Ah yes, Firefighters....
when I first moved in here, could not eat much and didn't have the heart to cook either...called my friends at the city fire department and asked them if they could package up some leftovers for me, got leftovers, AND a dinner invitation, AND a gift card....
have eaten at the Martinsburg Fire Department many times! Have made many a cookie for those fine folks.
Will put it in email to you, Mits!
The Good Wife is a repeat, too.
That's a great grocery store story, Hedgie...and I bet that Pizza Casserole WAS a hit!
Best wishes for a warm and cozy evening for all...rainy here...nice to have a warm and dry place to be.
Wanda glad things worked out okay for the Captain...he'll be ready for a real meal soon!
TTFN back later xo ♥
Why repeats already?
Going to call it a night. Pleasant dreams
George is finishing off my slice of pecan pie. I really have to stop him. Not what he needs!
It is so nice to have good people around you when you need support.
2 Doe and a spick at Okie cam
Just back from CVS.
ALL REPEATS (see all those caps lol)
Ceil rest well tonight! Glad you had a special day! This is the start of it
all!
Good night, Ceil.
Crunch - I'm checking out Okie
What did you call the one?
repeats, because the sweeps month starts on the 29th....
lol....I'm trying to figure that one out Jo
Ceil, at first I thought it was because of baseball, but there aren't any games on network TV tonight, so.....who knows?? Guess it's an 8 or 9 week hiatus!
One has small spikes (he )
He meant spike..I think
I think he meant spike.
Threw me for a minute there.
Thanks for explaining, Crunch.
4 deer now
thanks for the recipe, Lynn
Popular spot for deer.
OK Now I got it - I'm not a deer person & just wasn't sure.
They are still there crunch.......
BUT now there are 4.
ok for this city girl, does that mean it has an antler????
Took a real good pic and will send to Suzanne... Show her our Evening Viewing
OK Jo, was just going to do the same thing...but you got it covered
I think it means it is a young male with a beginning antler.
I never see any action from the Falcons - they are always sleeping.
Jim told us today about the banding being rescheduled....
Tuesday October 27, 2009
Banding day has been rescheduled to next Wednesday November 4, 2009 due to a change in the availability of the travel tower. Mounted on an artificial structure 50 meters off the ground, the researchers need a specialized travel tower to access the nest box.
Thank you to all of our online viewers who have sent in their name nominations for our three chicks. The final names will be revealed on banding day next week.
It's a buck.'with only small horns no rack. (SPIKES)
A spike deer will have two tines only....the first time a male will sprout a small rack (button bucks have two little teeny tiny nubs) and usually spikes the second year - bet someone beats me to this definition
crunch has it on the mark
Yep, just one or two single 'horns" with no branch divisions yet! Think it's not considered a rack until it branches!
OK, thanks, Crunch...... I remember you pointed that out to us on the PIX site, Margy
Spikes are not even as long as his ears.
I stand corrected...the other definitions are much more precise
raccoon has joined them
Maybe nothing in the PA woods because it is raining......
Thanks Lynn for that recipe.
Snowman cam has note on it saying:
"Anyone want to come & help rake"
Ceil, BIG glass = BIG G&T
Lynn, great story about the 911 call -- so great, sometimes, when youngster are good at technology.
Hi Candy. Glad life is looking up for Josh. Don't stay away so long.
I WANT TO RIDE THE TR___N TO THE B____CH WITH MEAGAN! I didn't get to the the B---CH this summer, either.
Didn't know about the 15 year old being charged with homicide. Still haven't even read today's paper or seen the news. I'll get back on that after I have some information.
Speaking of not being caught up, think I'll try to catch up now.
Later
Sitting here trying to remind myself that I have a lot of catching up to do, too. Need to work on assignments for my classes.
You all will have to keep check on Pix. A big doe comes in there that has turned up feet. (all 4). They zoomed in on them the oyher night.
That's wild, Crunch, never heard of such a thing.
Crunch, you are observant. You really do notice things we miss.
Crunch ever since you mentioned that the other evening I have been hoping to seen the doe. The bloggers on that site mentioned her also.
Yea I was on there then.
There a doe also now on snowman cam
They need to corral that doe and let a furrier get a good look at her little hooves!
