Hi,
As you know we have had a relationship with MyOutdoor TV the past year to stream our eagle cam video. Unfortunately, Chris Moise has left the company, and the new boss has decided not to continue the cam feed. Chris was not sure when they were going to cut it off, but I assumed it would be soon. It's really too bad because the eagle cam significantly increased their traffic. I will also say that regardless of what they have decided to do with the cam feed, they have been a fantatsic partner that has brought the eagles to many more people, thanks to their generous gift of bandwidth.
Since we heard from Chris on this, we have been looking for options, and have decided to send out an RFI to see who might be interested in working with us to provide the feed. We have been approached by one large media outlet that is interested, and the RFI will likely bring more interested parties. I'm sure we will find a partner before the winter.
That said, I think the video feed will soon be off until we have that new provider.

Most beautiful picture I have ever seen of my Mother, which I included in the packet, was one of her sitting with my brother when he was about 6 months old.... Second most beautiful one was when she and my Dad were sitting with five little ones all scrunched up on a couch...this was such a fun project.

Most beautiful picture I have ever seen of my Mother, which I included in the packet, was one of her sitting with my brother when he was about 6 months old....
Second most beautiful one was when she and my Dad were sitting with five little ones all scrunched up on a couch...this was such a fun project.
Thanks, Steve, I understand completely and sure appreciate your reassurance that we will have live streaming during the nesting season. You are the Perfect Leader on this, thank you so very very much for popping on here with an update. Once upon a time all we had was Still Cam...and we loved it then, and will continue to love it now!
Sincerely, Magpie xo
..and I know we are all interested in keeping donations going to the Friends of NCTC...
Have the Open House coming up...perfect timing for some of those ideas to come about...
If you find out, Margy, I'll call you at the appointed time!!
Lynn - I think you lost me on that last comment....try it again...☺
Steve - Any chance of having the Still Cam on a 15 sec or less refresh?
I know we asked before and then let it drop due to having the Live Feed.
To wish you a happy birthday at the right moment, Margy!!!!
Oh, I gotcha Lynn...I think it was more towards the evening, must check my birth certificate! For the longest time I had thought I weighed 9 pounds, 11 ounces...9-11 get it? Then I discovered it was 9 pounds, one ounce...Wah....
Braveheart is spending the night in the BWO nest again....guess she is not ready to leave yet.
That was a nice picture, though, Helen...looked like she had her bags packed and was heading out !
Bet there are some beautiful pictures around of you and Kevin when he was a baby, Helen...
Motherhood sure brings out the beauty in a woman....
and I think Grandmotherhood does also !
xo
I know how it makes me feel on the inside at least ☺ ♥
You are beautiful on the outside, too, Margy!!!!!
Jo, to console myself on the loss of my meatballs, I watched First 48. What else could I do?
Margie, careful about admitting to criminal behavior on the blog -- I might have to use you as an example in my class.
Margie, so happy your brother's package arrived and he is enjoying the trip down memory lane. What a good sister you are.
Steve, thank you so much for the update. We all are ever so very grateful for your help and support. Many eagle prayers for success in finding a partner for the live feed.
Well, eagle buddies, I have to turn my light out now. Not to be outdone in the beauteous department, I must rise early to get a haircut tomorrow. Leaving the night light on for others.
Judie
Thanks, Steve, for the update! We know you are working on a replacement. At least, Outdoor TV gave you time for negotiations with other providers.
Our Magpie is definitely DA BOMB!
I am headed to read and relax. Night everyone!
Okay Judie..are you sure tomorrow is the right day ??? We teased Deb last year and every day she goes for a haircut because one day she showed up on the wrong day! ☺
Thanks for leaving that night light on, I am an insomniac and tend to walk around in the middle of the night ☺
xo
Speaking of confusion, Margy...mom can't remember if I was born at 6:11 or 6:12 am and whether I weighed 6-11 or 6-12....one was one and the other was the other!! Time isn't on my birth certificate. Guess I need to dig baby book out of cedar chest to have a look-see!
I have no doubt that we will have a live cam for the next season. We don't normally have the live feed year round anyway, do we?
You folks are....Too Much! Never in my life have I received so much encouragement and nice remarks...
well, my sisters and brothers are pretty good about things like this, but they are biased....
Thanks! ☺
Goodnight, Deb and Judie!! Rest well!
I weight 8 something, think I was the biggest of the 6 of us. Andrew weighed 8 lb 8 1/2 oz. He weighs a little more than that now.
I was Facebooking (is that a word) with Kelsey's mother. Kelsey's sister had a baby last week and Andrew is afraid to hold him. He weighed 9 pounds.
Margy, you just do stuff right on time, like the sending out cards just because . . .
These big babies...like a big Balogna stick to try to hold!
Once I developed some back problems from holding a big (more or less former) Step-grandson who wanted to pull back instead of cuddle close ! He's a skinny mini now, not James but another dear little baby in my life once upon a time.
Oh Sharon, I am one of the Postal Service's biggest customers when it comes to stamps...☺
And Goodwill's - when I hit their card collections...
Hi, Everyone,
I'm finally getting back here. Have been stuck with my nose in the schoolbooks today, in an effort to make up for lost time on the weekend. Had to make a trip back to school to return a borrowed book to the teacher today, too. Am nowhere near caught up on the blog. Will have to try that tomorrow. Eyes are tired from reading, and have a better chance of being able to see straight in the morning. Hope you've all had a good day. Prayers being said for everyone. The night light is on, the porch light will go on as you get here, and the eye scanner lock is enabled. Hope everyone has a good night's sleep. G'night!
Good Night Andrea... hang in there, and keep checking in when you can...it's important for us to hear from our Momsters and Dadsters, as we are all a bunch of Mother Hens! xo
Yea, Margy! So glad your package arrived on time. Hurray!
I was laughing when Judie said she had a hair appointment. Laughing and thinking...wonder if it is the correct day? lol. and then that same thought was posted!
I am really pooped. I was on my feet a lot today. Think I am going to head to the shower.
Night all!
Sweet dreams!
Judie is the one who asked Deb about her last haircut if Deb had the right day since she didn't the time before! Deb didn't say how she liked her haircut yesterday or the day before...
Maybe she really didn't get the right day! lol
OK I have had enough commotion for the evening... Tomorrow is another day!!
Good Night All
Prayers for everyone's wants/needs being offered.
(((hugs))) ♥
Me, too, Jo!
Lolly get your legs elevated!
Margy, babies really can cause back injuries!!
Andrea, you can catch up tomorrow---close your eyes now!
Sharon, that's really funny about Andrew being afraid to hold the baby! I had two BIL's who were the same way!!
Hope everyone has a peaceful night with many sweet dreams. See you tomorrow.
Prayers being said for all.
Ah, tamorrah is anotha day quoth the Raven -- Nevermore, Nevermore.
I cheated and came back.
Hi Andy, get some sleep.
Goodnight Jo and Lolly.
Oh, and tamorrah is the right day -- they call the day/night before to make sure I remember. Maybe Deb should ask for a reminder call -- or the Raven could stop by for a brief visit.
Good night again, and for real this time.
Yep, the Night Bandit has snuck in here too...got to get up pretty early for dayshift Wednesday
Seems like a lot of hard-working folks on here today doing special and important things, and some fun along the way as well.
Hope that Wanda, Gene and GeeGee are doing okay.
Lolly - package was one day late but we figure the day after a birthday is when you really need an uplifting boost ☺
Good Night everyone and God Bless Us, Every One....
xo ☺ ♥
Good night. I have been on the phone with Suzi. Will see you tomorrow.
Thanks for the update, Steve.
So sad about the temporary loss of the live cam. I firmly believe it's temporary.
Surely, someone will come forward with a great option to continue the viewing.
I'll say my 'goodnites' now so I don't miss anyone else going to bed before me - hope I'm not too late.
Can someone tell me, either here or to my email address, if a visit to NCTC can be made at any time?
I'm thinking of asking hubby to bring me down on his weekend off or perhaps a day trip. Just a thought ... haven't even discussed it with him yet. I'd really like to see the home of our royal pair.
Diann, just ask in advance to be able to enter the gates. Any day would be fine, as long as you have permission.
Sorry you can't make it to Open House. Was looking forward to meeting you:(
Good night and sweet eagle dreams, my friends of fine feathers and fur! Sleep well!
"And then there stole into my fancy, like a rich musical note, the thought of what sweet rest there must be in the grave."
I'm hoping to find sweet rest in the BED!
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS

Daggone it, morning came around quickly...guess it is a good thing I am up with it.
Out the door, 6 am to 6 pm...
Best wishes for a Good Day, for all..

Good Early Wed. Everyone! Fell asleep after din din & now I'm UP!
Checked some spots and although Koo's X-ray wasn't performed yet (she has to travel again from the Wildlife Park for that), there was newspaper article (Finnish) and pictures posted on forums.
Will try to do a "Blue Thingy"~~~
Koo Story & Pic
Starts at bottom of pg. 35
I give up! Redid the link---one there is giving Estonian version w/not much info---copied from someone's else's post. Previewed and "page expired" getting back here and it all got erased!!!!One more time~~~~
(bottom pg. 35)
Koo Story
OK now.
Time to bring on the Eagles!!!!
Good morning! Thanks for the news about Koo, Loretta.
There's two eagles in the nest!
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!---WHOA!---MEGAN---It took your smile to bring 'em home to the nest!!!!
Hey Norma:) Just one eagle now- one just flew
WOW! LORETTA!---You knew all along the EAGLES were on their way to the nest!---LIFE IS GOOD!
MEGAN---Isn't it time to sing---ISN'T SHE LOVELY?---ho!---
YEP! MEGAN--that's the only one saw!---AWESOME!
DANA!---I APPLAUD YOUR STATEMENT!!---I believe that HANDSOME STEVE will find a way---He is always looking out for us!!--
Both eagles again
BLUEFIELD SHARON---You description of ANDREW not wanting to pick up a baby---really made me laugh!---I was the same way--in high school--close friend was always picking up babies & cooing, etc---She told everyone that I look at a baby & say 'Hi Baby'!--I was afraid of babies too!--ho!---Give ANDREW some time! ho!
Thanks---MEGAN--Did see TWO this time---what is the ball in the middle of the nest?
MEGAN---Is your KID a Junior this year?---
Wow! Both eagles in the nest! And no streaming video :-(
Is that brown ball of fuzz breakfast perhaps?
Not sure what that is, Norma. Yep, kid's a junior.
Wow, the royal couple are certainly gracing us with their presence this morning!!!
MORNIN' GABRIELA!! Have missed you!!
MORNIN' SISSY!---Aren't they an AWESOME couple---So very regal!
Thank you Norma & good morning to you too! I telework on mondays and wednesdays so I can have my second computer set to the eagle cam. I enjoy the conversation here and watching our lovely couple even though I don't often have time to join in!
one flew the nest
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE...
Aren't we lucky to still have the STILL? Like watching grass grow:)
Did you see that huge stick that Belle moved around with, seemingly no purpose? She seemed to ask Lib for help and he wants NO part in helping her, not after the way she bopped him the last time:)
Gabriella, good to see you on here this morning! Glad you have not had any hurricans down there this year. Hope it stays that way!
Megan, how was your markets over the holiday weekend? Hope everyone was in a flowery mood:)
Coffee pot is beeping, time to have some. BBL
Before I go, Gabriela, the live cam is gone for good, until we can get a new bandwidth provider. Please pray along with us that that will happen soon. Lib & Belle are just now getting active in the nest since Hidey left and we don't want to miss a moment of the action!
Go to my blog, WILD AND WONDERFUL and you can see a video of the Royal couple having a Royal SPAT!:)
MORNIN' WANDA!!---Those are 'LOVE PATS' that BELLE & LIB exchange!
ho!
Thanks Wanda! I'll check out your blog and yes I knew outdoor tv dropped us - maybe when their hit count plummets they'll want us back? :-)
We had almost as much fog as the FINNEY WATER SITE had this am---forecast is saying 'Mostly sunny skies with rain moving in tonight'-----MEGAN are you still doing the RAIN DANCE?---It hasn't been working here!!
WANDA'S video is COOL!!
EAGLE ALERT!!!
Yea! Eagles!
Got one pic.
Good morning everyone!
One left.
POOF!
Just logged on to take attendance and saw eagles in my class. How neat.
Will talk to you later.
Good morning everyone!
Eagle back!
M/T NEST at the FINLAND SITE---light with dark clouds are moving in---
They are busier than cats covering up pee!
aaaw! In all their GLORY!---
Good morning, everyone.
Wanda, I hope you found that sweet musical note in your sweet dreams last night.
I think Gabriela is spot on. We probably weren't an asset to the profit line.
Off to get my "do did" so I will be even more beauteous.
Hope everyone has a great morning,
Judie
MORNIN' JUDIE!--JUDIE!--JUDIE!---wishing you a great day in the classroom!!
WOW!! Two again!
"Busier than cats covering up pee." Never heard that expression before. I am having trouble keeping from giggling.
My students are quietly reading. I do not want to have to explain why I am giggling. Must be quiet.
MORNIN' SHIRLEY---That would be one way of getting your student's attention! ho!
Sorry Shirley! :) :)
I can't stand it!!!!!
Koo is in Bird Heaven
See the link I posted earlier--5:56
I would have taken care of her

I am very sorry to report that Koo has been euthanized. No specific details yet, but apparently vet felt that there was no good outcome. Rest in peace, poor Koo. Fly high and free in spririt.
Norma, still no obit on Nancy Hockensmith.
BTW....are you coming for Open House????Fri. night dinner? Sat. dinner? Need an answer for headcount!!!
So sad about Koo but if she was not going to have a free life then this is a God thing! There are some things worse than death and the meaning of euthanasia is "good death".
Sad news, Loretta and Lynn. I wish the outcome for Koo had been different.
The eagles are gone, glad I got to see them this morning.
One eagle back.
I share your pain--LORETTA and LYNN!---I just supposed she would live a long life educating children!! (that really hurts)---
MORNIN' DEB!---I have study group this am---been in & out!---Glad you are getting use to your schedule!!---Have a FAST day!!!
LORETTA & LYNN---I just knew---deep down--that was going to happen---made it hard for me to watch her for a while----
later---
NORMA---see my post of 8:59.
lORETTA, what a beautiful comment from MOOSE about Koo. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I, for one, am glad Koo will not have to suffer anymore. What a terrible life it would have been, in the wild, trying to exist with a deformity such as that.
I feel, that without the efforts of Loretta and others, who emailed the authorities in Finland, Koo would have suffered a lonely and painful life. Seemed no one over there was willing to do anything until faithful viewers raised a ruckus! THE SQUEEKY WHEEL GETS THE OIL:)
Morning, all!
Certianly surprised, but delighted to see our pair in the nest!!
Such a shame we won't have live feed this fall.
Lynn---thanks for the info about Nancy---She has 2 bros---DEAN--lives in Shend--& BILL he lives in this co---Nancy is probably laughing at all the confusion---She was one cool person---
will give info on attend by wkend!
So sad about Koo....
Did you see our Chrissy is posting on that forum?
Okay, Norma....will be anxiously waiting to hear form you. Asked yesterday...do you know...is Wilton Hockensmith a relative?
MUST SAY THIS!----When I first began watching this nest---I was up at dawn---to see the only movement--when the EAGLES exchanged places on the nest!!---WOW!--JUMP FOR JOY!---I WAS SO EXCITED!---hey 'WE HAVE COME A LONG WAY BABY'!!!!!
WAX SHARON!!!!!!
