YEAH, NEW THREAD!

And yes Megan, that does resemble a Train ticket! :)

Mits said...

Sharon, got that weird Trojan virus thing again...made it look real, have been scanning my puter for 2 hours, to see if it really is real

Mits said...

Sharon you have mail

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Reset what, Lynn?

Costume Lady said...

Helen, I got that ALERT yesterday. Big red letters telling me that my computer was infected, was in the middle of a business order and it cut me off completely. I was stunned...didn't know what to do. Tried to get the message (warning) off...wouldn't go away. Finally, I shut down the 'puter and started all over and message was gone and ran a scan with my security and all is OK! WHEW!

Mits said...

yeah Wanda ignored it this time, last time thought it was for real, could not get it to go away, then Sharon helped me get rid of it....just did a complete scan over 2 hours, and it says I'm ok....

Mits said...

and this blog is acting weird with all the hang-ups too, takes forever to post

Mits said...

have to troubleshoot my adobe flash player now.....its always something....poor Ceil's computer up and crashed yesterday....

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I now have the lovely fragrance of white lilac/hemiptera!

Mema Jo said...

Is that train ticket up for grabs?

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Oh yeah, sure, right - $1000 will buy this ticket (and then I would be praying there are more to buy!) :)

hedgie said...

Reset that passsword, Sharon!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Lynn, I work in different systems and this is through a secure site so I think it is okay.

hedgie said...

Sure sounds to me like you all are having a Verizon issue!!!!

hedgie said...

Was always taught that if someone GIVES you a password that you should always change it if at all possible!

Mits said...

mine was not Verizon....think it was IE, everything seems to be running normally now:)

I have a puter question.....while freeing up disc space, I deleted the Yahoo toolbar---never use it and always kept it hidden anyway. Now it seems that Yahoo won't keep me signed in for 2 wks. even tho' I check the box...could that be because I deleted the tool bar?

Mema Jo said...

I don't have the tool bar so I need to check that out. It always kept me signed in before - now you have me wondering ...... I'll let you know.

Mits said...

whether I am signed in or not, it never remembers me, so I never go to the momster albums, and have never been able to post my own pic on blog, Sharon always does it for me

Mema Jo said...

Sorry I didn't even say HELLO.
Jenny was here and then Aaron came by.
I was on the FB with another granddaughter.

I just can't multitask anymore!

Mema Jo said...

So far Yahoo Momster's site has been remembering me...... I'll try it again tomorrow...

Mema Jo said...

Good many visitors at Peggy's Cove.
I would love to visit that lighthouse.

Hey Jo-ROAD TRIP!!

Mema Jo said...

I hope someone is keeping a list of all these fantastic places for our upcoming road trips! Later we can vote them into priority!

Costume Lady said...

Hey, Jo...I like your idea. Make a list of Road Trips (within reason) and then vote and go!

GG doctor visit. BBWIC

NatureNut said...

Afternoon Everyone!! Had road running and dentist appt. (cuz it's my day off!DUH) Now I need a Panda nap.
Never got on here last night---worked late, ate some stuff & konked out in chair waiting for a show that never came on!
If I get my eyes to stay open, will try to put more pics on.
Great Idea--list of field trips!!

Lolly said...

Road trip to Texas should be high on the list!!! Have just emailed Paula a picture for a bottle of good wine. lol

Paula, check your email!

Now, I need to head to the post office. Checking things to do off a list. Have not gotten to my dresser of craft stuff, maybe after the post office.

Ms Bookworm said...

Good Afternoon, Everyone!
...Yawn....Here I am, dragging in very late today. Must've been slam wore out last night! Barely got to sleep, and had to get up and get Hubby off to work. Then fell asleep again, and woke up so late half the day was gone! Now gotta catch up around here, and study for tomorrow night's exam in Anatomy. No rest for the weary, as they say! LOL :oD
Sure am glad we don't seem to have stink bugs in our area yet--hope they never find their way here! Instead we have lurky looking 8-legged freaks! Exterminator is supposed to spray foundation of house tomorrow, and around doors. Never seems to work for those freaks, though--just for other creepy crawlers. I swear those 8-leggers must be alien life forms!
Oh, well, there's always something!

Ms Bookworm said...

The newspaper says it's supposed to be just a tad bit cooler here today. Wish I could believe that they know what they're talking about! Getting really SICK of this unrelenting heat!
Fires are still burning, too--those POOR firefighters! Can't imagine what they're going through! God bless them all!

Ms Bookworm said...

Lolly,
Good idea! Think I'll make a 'to do' list and start checking things off. Still sleepy, so need to be really organized. Hmmm...maybe some iced coffee would help! Better put that on the list FIRST.

Mema Jo said...

Andrea Have you emailed Paula your pic and preference of beverage bottle for our dinner?

Ms Bookworm said...

Hey, Sharon,
A little while ago I could've sworn I heard a rumor about a Train, or train tickets, or something...was still pretty sleepy, so I'm not sure....Naw--must've been dreaming!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Andrea, you know how ugly rumors are! :)

Ms Bookworm said...

Oops--no, Jo, I don't think I have yet! That's on the list now, too!
Thanks for the reminder!

Ms Bookworm said...

Yeah, that's right, Sharon. Just thought I'd mention, though, that if we're talking Amtrak here, there's an Amtrak station at the baseball stadium, just a couple miles from my house! (Why don't you guys put THAT on your Road Trip list!) When the windows are open at night, we hear the train whistles all the time!

Ms Bookworm said...

You know what, I'll have to try to find out if Train is scheduled to appear at the Honda Center/aka the Pond anytime soon. That's mighty close to home, too!

Judie said...

Hi all, back from school.

Well, Lolly, I don't like to pry but with all the cleaning and de-cluttering you do, just HOW BIG IS YOUR HOME? Do you have room for Sharon's train?

Good grief, just trying to catch up on comments and somebody yells ROAD TRIP. I can't even get caught up before I have to take off to someplace -- will someone please tell me where I'm going?

Oh, speaking of blog problems, after I reset my id and password yesterday (used the originals), the blog lets me post without filling in the id/password.

Actually, it's a road trip to the frig.

Later,
Judie

Mits said...

well mine used to let me do that Judie, now have to sign in all the time

Ms Bookworm said...

I do too, and it's bothersome, but you guys are worth it!

Ms Bookworm said...

Wow, my tummy's growling--better go look for some inspiration in the refrig! Sure would be great to bump into Judie while I'm there!

paula eagleholic said...

Lolly, you have mail!

Andrea, so do you!

Mema Jo said...

My evening entertainment is going to Alexis' school with her and her grandmother (Gram)for an ice cream social
She told me she already took in the

Touch base when I return!

Judie said...

Well, yeah, that's what's so strange. At first I didn't have to sign in every time, then I suddenly did have to, and now after resubmitting my id/passwword, I don't have to. Strange as a train.

Judie said...

Ooops, Andrea, I'm sorry. Hope it didn't hurt when we bumped into each other at the frig. Should have turned the light on.

paula eagleholic said...

Eagle at BWO!!

Heading home, catch ya'll later!

Lolly said...

Judie....DON'T say the word "train." You know it sets Sharon off!

Paula, have resent the picture. I thought I had saved it as jpeg, but apparently not. Let me know if it okay.

deb said...

A beautiful eagle at BWO.

Lolly said...

OMG I am on the verge of tears. Jack and I were watching the news. There was a FBI sting in Dallas. A 19 year old Jordanian placed what he thought was a "weapon on mass destruction" at the Fountain Place high rise in Dallas. Well, guess what?! that is Michael's building. I called him while watching the news and he looked out and said he could see the helicopters. He had no idea of what was going on. He is on about the 30th floor. Anyway, all is well, but excuse me while I go have a good cry!

Mits said...

you might not like living near DC than, Lolly, that crap happens all the time.

Lolly said...

It really has me shook up. Even though it was a sting. That guy wanted to bomb that building!

Lolly said...

And, my baby was in that building!

hedgie said...

Good evening...hasn't been very pleasant so far......have captured and flushed 6 stinkers; grill ran out of gas in the middle of cooking dinner, and I can't get the new tank lifted up into mounting position....argh!!!!!
Time for Jeopardy!

magpie said...

Glad Michael is okay, Lolly.....breathe....and go hug Jack ♥

The world seems so kind and comfortable on this blog, then we have to visit the outside world, it can be very disturbing.

Again, glad Michael is Okay and that you could get through, Lolly

Good Evening, Eagle friends

magpie said...

I had about two seconds of sound on either Pix Pa or Burrowing Owls....

geez, there are so many sites with sound on the E-M emails that I just have to bypass.

Woof! Ceil's computer crashed....
:(

hedgie said...

Take a deep breath, Lolly. Everything is okay. Very frightening, I am sure. Yep...2 or 3 of those situations today in DC and area.

magpie said...

Lynn
want me to call a local grunt to come help you out????

magpie said...

I know if I visit my storage bins, that is where I will find hundreds of stink bugs....NOT GOING THERE !

magpie said...

If the clouds here would bring some healthy rain, but as it is, we are missing ISS and Moonie in the evening, and not getting that rain! :(

magpie said...

Son in law claims that Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is playing in 3-D at Valley Mall in Hagerstown, MD...that might be on my dance card for Friday ☺

deb said...

Lolly, how scary for you and Jack. Glad everything worked out and the authorities were on top of it.

magpie said...

Lots of deer at Pix PA....

magpie said...

does, only two now...wonder when we will see some bucks!

magpie said...

Okay, Jo is having ice cream, Megan is packaging up stink bugs, Lynn is watching Jeopardy, and I bet many are on Facebook...
I'm going to find my pajamas and get comfortable...

Big close up of a deer's behind at Pix !
TTFN xo

magpie said...

Hi Deb....workday over... or was this a day off ?

Thought I had skeered everyone away !

magpie said...

Hedgie
When you come back on....
someone stole a lawn decoration from a yard today....think the owner was the man who operates Rock Hill Cremeary. Stolen item?

One of the artist's pallets! I am thinking it was probably the ice cream soda that was outside of the old Stewart's Men's wear on South Queen Street. I didn't take the call or I would have asked !!!
Is that not mean or what !

magpie said...

make that Creamery....
I will find out later and let you know

hedgie said...

Also found that the leaf blower is NOT going to work with the acorns...won't budge them at all on the gravel and barely on the mulched areas, so will end up having to rake without messing up the mulch....and no way to rake the gravel!

hedgie said...

Margy, what is that movie about??? Strange title!
The Cremaery guy did buy a couple...but I can't remember which ones! I'll ask Ann....she knows him and probably remembers!

magpie said...

raccoons are out at Pix now, maybe we can watch them scatter when the food toss occurs !

Hedgie, did you see the article about food being scarce for squirrels this year? they must not know about your house. Bet you have lots of deer visitors for those acorns ☺

magpie said...

Ha Hedgie! You spelled Creamery about as well as I did !

Lolly said...

Dinner is in the oven. I am back in control. Sat here with tears streaming down my face. I was not crying....the tears just ran.

Mits said...

yes, Lynn Mass. Avenue route which hubby takes, he was out of town today, suspicious back pack in front of Islamic center....hmmm he did have to go pass there enroute to airport, so I guess he made it it was a 6:30 a.m. flight, had Mass Ave. tired up for hours

magpie said...

From Google:

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Inspired by the beloved children’s book, the film tells the story of a scientist named Flint Lockwood, who while trying to solve world hunger who encounters a problem of global proportions, as food begins to fall from the sky like rain.

An animated movie of course.

There's a lot on Google about it, and Jo and a few others were talking about it a few weeks or so ago.

Mits said...

yeah we were talking about it on the blog a couple of weeks ago.

hedgie said...

That's what I don't understand, MArgy....neither deer or squirrels seem to be eating them....but maybe there's just so many that I don't notice any missing!

magpie said...

Food Toss coming up, hits my computer at about 8:22 pm......

floralgirl said...

We used to read that book here!
Deer are eating all the acorns here.

magpie said...

raccoons have scattered BEFORE the food toss :(

Lolly said...

Too bad, wanted to see them scatter. lol

Judie said...

Lolly, how horrible for you and Jack. What a frightening experience for you both. Rest easy that Michael is safe and give thanks for our law enforcement people. Sadly, Lynn is right about the D.C. area. Margie is also right that the blog is our safe house with lots of loving family who visit every day.

Haven't seen anything from Dana today. Did I miss her? Want to know they are okay.

I'm sorry. I won't say train again (until tomorrow).

Wish the person who stole the lawn ornament would visit a house at the edge of our community. Only way to cut what grass is visible would be to use blunt edge scissors.

Margie, DO NOT visit the storage bins without the Orkin man.

Lynn, hope you finally had some dinner and enjoyed Jeopardy. Once had the grill go out when cooking for a dinner party. Really had to get "last minute" creative.

Jo, how was the ice cream date for ggd? Hope you all had fun.

Well, off to watch some Food Network or something else of interest.

Later

magpie said...

Well the food toss was anti-climactic this evening....

I havn't read the book, guess I might see the movie first.

I haven't seen the neighborhood family of four bucks and a doe for a loooooong time, guess they have found some new haunts... :(

Hi Megan, my snapdragons have finally stopped blooming, but the marigolds, rudbeckia, and buttefly plant are still going strong...☺ Lots of Yellow here

floralgirl said...

Hello Margy:) glad to hear you still have something blooming.

paula eagleholic said...

Lolly - glad everything is OK...scary for sure.

Mits, heard about the Mass Ave thing this morning...what a mess.

hedgie said...

I noticed that typo, Margy...flying fingers!!

hedgie said...

Well, if meatballs are falling out of the sky in that movie,Jo's Alexis should really like it!!!

paula eagleholic said...

My marigolds are still blooming too, plus a couple of other perennials...plus my impatiens.

floralgirl said...

Had to read back, missed Lolly's story- very scary indeed. Glad everything is ok- crazy world.

Mema Jo said...

Touching base! Ice cream was delicious especially eating it with ggd BUT it really was a quick PTA meeting before the ice cream was served. PTA's aren't what they used to be as far as parent involvement. Not many parents there as far as a ratio to students! I did purchase some MUMS which I had been trying to get into my flower pots - they are coming from Catoctin Mt which pleases me that they are local.

Very humid out this evening - no rain
Only good thing about the humidity is that the STINK BUGS have receded away from the house.

magpie said...

Hey Megan! They are Megan Flowers! Of course they are still blooming ! ☺

Hi Paula ! Hi Judie ! and Hi again, Lolly, already said Hi to Lynn
Oh yes, Hi Mits ! Okay who did I miss ??

magpie said...

Oh I missed the Ice Cream lady!
Hi Mema Jo...

back in the days of PTA when I was a kid, the class that had the most parents attending would get some sort of a prize....either mine or one of my siblings' class would get that prize, our parents never missed those meetings.

magpie said...

...and unfortunately, now there are more single parent homes.
Much more, not like the old days :(

Mema Jo said...

I would like to get my hands on the book first. I did go to Amazon and get a brief preview. Is this only in 3-D? Like Ice Age had both.
Sometimes the price increase from regular to 3-D is quite a few bucks.

LOLLY/JACK - I know that your hearts stopped when the news came on! Thankful that Michael is ok. Mother's tears can flow anytime!

Mema Jo said...

Grocery store item brought home today was MEATBALLS. You're right, Lynn about taking Alexis to the movie! lol

Mema Jo said...

Heritage days in Middletown this Saturday. DIL called and said she would take me down to look at the crafts. I love decorating my front yard with fall items - especially Halloween items like Scarcrows.
Megan I do need a trip to a pumpkin patch -usually go to Jumbo's! Unless you have a better suggestion.....???

Mits said...

off to watch Grey's season premiere

magpie said...

Showtimes in Hagtown are 4:30, 7 and 9:30 pm - don't now if only 3-D or not, Jo -

%$#!! can't get hold of son in law...stupid phone he has, he runs out on minutes and that drives me nuts !!! Ball is in his court, he will have to find a way to call me I guess
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !
Yes, Norma, there's my answer to your SIL question...
Thinking of you by the way, and wondering how the Florida Family is doing ♥

Lolly We will ALWAYS share your tears with you....and everyone else's on here.

xo Got to do some things here....

hedgie said...

Hi, Judie. You have mail.
No sign of Dana again today....?????
I remember once upon a time having a dinner party with neighbors....had an ice storm, but everyone "skated" over----and then power went out! Now ex- took stovre-top items out to RV and finished cooking them on gas stove!! All turned out well, and it turned out to be a real candlelight dinner.

hedgie said...

Time for Grey's Anatomy. Later, gators.

Mema Jo said...

Watching Mentalist at 10 pm.

Aaron said he was going this weekend to Berryville VA for the Watermelon Park Festival. Speak Easy Boys are there tonight at 10:30 - The event last for 3 days.

Mema Jo said...

Hope recovery for Davin is going well
Hope Ed and Dana are doing well

Hope - yes But more so PRAYERS for
all of the above.

magpie said...

Oh man Watermelon Park! I went there in 1970 or 1971 - it was Great! Totally blue grass...
loved it....camped out there....seems to me it was earlier in the season, maybe I am wrong on that...

Lucky Aaron ! Hope the weather will be nice....

Mema Jo said...

The foxes are regulars I guess.
I guess they eat grains.... ? I know they love peanuts! They really do.

floralgirl said...

Jo, I love Jumbo's! We went there a few times when kid was little.

Mema Jo said...

I usually take grandkids and ggk because it is so close to me. Love the
wagon ride out to the patches.
Especially like petting the little goats and calf.
Are you getting full schedules for your corn mazes?

floralgirl said...

Uh...schedule is much lighter this year- afraid the economy has really had an impact on f trip budgets. Saw it last year, even more now.

Mema Jo said...

Megan - did you see Jenny's video of the little hummer at her feeder on FB?

floralgirl said...

No- She's not on my friend list so I don't see her posts on my page

Mema Jo said...

OK I will get the hang of this FB yet. I really don't sign on that often.
Mainly when I get an email it reminds me to sign on.

Mema Jo said...

I have some things to do before I set in front of the TV at 10. I'll be back to say good night after the Mentalist.

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Gang,
Wow, Lolly and Jack, what a scary situation! Mighty thankful it worked out OK. Lolly, sometimes there's nothing quite like a good cry! ((Hugs)) for you!
Judie,
Don't know why that little penguin who lives in the fridge didn't turn the light on! Don't worry--didn't feel a thing.
Well, I've about studied myself out for today, so think I'll go watch some TV. Definitely plan on "Grey's Anatomy" in a couple of hours!
Prayers being said for all, especially where healing is needed. Prayer too that we hear from Dana soon! Miss her!
Hope Davin is recovering quickly, too.
Well, sweet dreams, everyone, and I'll see you tomorrow. Night light's on, porch light is ready to go, and eye scanner is enabled.
G'night! :o]

paula eagleholic said...

Grey's was excellent!

Gotta get some quick chores done, then off to bed.

Catch ya'll tomorrow!

Hugs to all ♥

Costume Lady said...

Another day, another...nothing! No dollars coming in until next week.
Wahoo! Can't wait. Megan says she notices the economy is still affecting business...I hope everyone has put aside a little money for Halloween costumes!
Last year started off with a BANG, but ended with a pitiful whimper:(
I have stocked up on some really fun things that are a reasonable price and then there are some really nice things that are a little on the pricey side...something for everyone:)
I think I feel SLEEP coming on...hope so.

GOOD NIGHT
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS

Thankful Lolly & Jack's Michael is safe and sound!

Judie said...

Well, I planned to watch some mindless program but fell asleep. More tired than I realized. Have to get up early again tomorrow for meetings with students and then faculty stuff.

Andrea has already turned the night light on for the west coast and set the eye scanner so I am turning the east coast night light on. Don't slam the door if you come in late.

Back tomorrow. G'nite everyone. Sweet dreams.

Judie

hedgie said...

I am getting ready to turn in, too. Hope everyone has a blessed sleep and a great morning. Hope we hear from Dana or we may have to issue a silver alert!!
Prayers for all.

Lolly said...

Grey's is over. What a night, guess shedding tears is okay. News now is all about the Fountain Place bomb threat. Going to cry again. He really thought he was blowing up the building.

Finney's Nest has a different pic and a message about the cam being "closed for awhile."

Hope everyone has a good day, rain here now, we need it but I hope it does not ruin anyone's important plans.

Costume Lady said...

Morning, Helen. Is it raining at the beach? The pitter patter woke me up...it has been so long since rain that I didn't know what the sound was!

floralgirl said...

Good Morning:)
Been raining here for hours, light rain, but we'll take it. If only we could've had rain a month ago, my garden would look so different, lack of rain is probably gonna bring my season to a halt very soon.

Costume Lady said...

Helen, is Ceil's 'puter still down?
Does she still need copies of Menu?

Megan, do you grow pumpkins?

Mits said...

PENQUIN CAM

floralgirl said...

Not this year, Wanda. Have in the past, difficult to grow due to squash bugs...Got tired of picking them off plants many times a day. Took a year off from pumpkins.

Costume Lady said...

Can't understand the incompetancy of those workers at that place. How long would it take to return a phone call. Isn't that what they are being paid for.
To think that that place once had WORLD LEADERS meeting there, is unbelievable!

Mits said...

lol...Wanda, maybe they are trying to give us a message...

Costume Lady said...

It takes a lot of space for pumpkins, but I love to watch them grow. Squash bug really ruined our squash crop this year...way too early:(

Costume Lady said...

I don't think the know how IMPORTANT we are:)

Mits said...

yeah well some people can't see the forest for the trees:)

floralgirl said...

Last year I grew a lot of the mini pumpkins, you can grow them up a trellis, saves a lot of space.

Didn't know that about mini pumpkins. I'll give them a try next year.

Good morning all y'all. I've been lurking for a while and enjoying all the posts. Been busy with Facebook games. I see Wanda and Glo in Yoville, Bev and Glo in Farmsville and Farmtown. Those darn games are very addictive. I had a severe belly ache for a couple of days a few weeks ago and found out I have gallstones. My gall bladder will come out Monday the 28th (my birthday). Nowdays it's not a big deal but I need your prayers anyway. So everyone put me on your prayer list.

Thanks!!!!!!!!

Hang in there Red. Must be something going around about gallbladders. Tom just had his out in August. He did very well, was back at work in 2 weeks, camping in 2 days! It can be a simple procedure nowadays but still, it is surgery. We are certainly praying for a speedy recovery. What a birthday present!!

Oh, and Lolly, they showed Michael's building on the news last night with that sting operation. They used that building, or the facade, for the show "Dallas" as the Ewing oil building!
