Thanks Margy and Thank You Steve for the fresh thread! We did fill up the other one!

Judie said...

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the new thread,Steve. And thanks Margie for the call over.

Just checking in before I get a glass of "gingerale" and relax.

Also, thanks Jo for the Cold Case reminder.

Not much activity at the cams. Quiet night, so far.

stronghunter said...

Raccoon in PA woods looked like he was waiting for the food shoot. Went behind a log and seemed to be waiting. Took off when it happened. I would get out of the way myself if food got shot at me!

stronghunter said...

So, Judy, what is in that gingerale?

Mits said...

thanks, for the call over, Margy

House is coming along....came back up to Frederick Saturday to pick up one of our trucks, am taking stuff to auction house here in Eburg in the morning.

Got a dumpster this past Friday, starting to get rid of lots of junk. House is looking good.

paula eagleholic said...

My son has brought down some extra help to get things done...hope to see a lot of progress this week...he will be there for 4 days instead of 2 this week.

paula eagleholic said...

How long and where was your Buddy walk, Mits?

paula eagleholic said...

I can't wait to have the time to walk again, haven't been able to in months.

stronghunter said...

Sounds like people in th Pa woods--not really sure what I am hearing.

Mits said...

If we fall asleep I hope Lynn wakes up and can tell us about the story. lol

paula eagleholic said...

Everyone is hoping for a girl...and this will be #3

paula eagleholic said...

Don't know what they will do if it's a boy! She is thinking it's a boy, not trying to keep hopes up for a girl, just in case.

Mema Jo said...

Going to take a break before Cold Case is on and then I'll be back to say

magpie said...

That's all very exciting Paula...what do the little boys want, another brother, or a sister?
☺ Guess can't buy pink or blue clothes yet....

Judie said...

Ah, Shirley, a strong bit of ginger, to be sure!

I think I missed something somewhere because it seems Paula is having a baby -- well, maybe a grandbaby. Congratulations!

So glad the buddy walk was successful and weather was nice.

Okay, Margie, if you say it's Sunday, then it is Sunday. Just wish I could have an extra Sunday this week. By the way, MIL had a complete never used set of Lennox we would love to sell. Turns out it is really worth a bunch.

Need to go finish my gingerale while I watch Cold Case, if I can stay awake.

Back later to say goodnight.

stronghunter said...

I like the Northern Neck ginger ale when I can get it. I think it has a little extra zip. Do you know that brand, Judie?

hedgie said...

Wow, Paula....don't know if I missed a post somewhere along the way or if my brain has really fizzed out........didn't know you were going to be a grandma again! Congrats!!

Welcome "home" home, Mits! So sad for summer to end, but with a new baby coming, you won't be without fun!

paula eagleholic said...

All caught up on the blog...lots of good news....Davin is home, Finland is up. Lots of good conversation!

Bob - I don't think you meant to ask me about a Dawn Murray that worked with me...maybe Margy?

hedgie said...

Wake up, nappers....almost time for Cold Case!!

paula eagleholic said...

Megan - are the honey crisp apples in yet? I turned my brother onto those last year, they are really good apples. Not sure how many fall festivals I can attend this year...Open House may be the only one.

paula eagleholic said...

Nope, guys, just announced it tonight about grandbaby #3...she's 11 weeks...felt like it was "safe enough" to let everyone know!

stronghunter said...

Well, congratulations, Paula. That is exciting news!

hedgie said...

Time delay, I see, for Cold Case....guess a game ran over. NOW it is almost time!

Lolly said...

CONGRTULATIONS PAULA!! Now how exciting is that?!! Oh, I would LOVE another grandbaby, but I am afraid it is not to be. Will have to wait till Joseph has grown to have great grands. So I am a long way from that. Hopefully!

Beem watching the new Natl. Park Program. Jack and I were really enjoying it. Makes me want to head to the mountains!!!

No, Jo, I have not considered going to get him. He has his school and I hate for him to miss that, especially since he will already be missing it when we have him on the trip. We are taking his "homework" with us. lol He also has his soccer practice. This is when I really wish we lived closer.

paula eagleholic said...

Cool here tonight, down to 64°..have to get new indoor/outdoor thermometer...mine is stuck on celsius!

Yes, Shirley it's exciting news!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

A good Sunday night to everyone. I have had a busy weekend. It started on Friday when I went to Bluefield. Saturday, Mattie and I went to Scott Depot, visited with Andrew and Kelsey's family. Went to a band competition last night where the WV State University's band was the exhibition show. It was awesome. Went to Claytor Lake today and had a family get together. It was great seeing everybody but it is also great being back home! Wore slam out! :)

Lolly said...

What I am doing is considering taking food up there Tues. Think I will. I could clean her house a little, catch up on the laundry, and feed the family. That would mentally make her feel better. I am not afraid of getting sick. Will stay away from her and wash my hands a lot.

Have a doctors appointment Wed morning and the funeral to go to Wed. Probably we will get the trailer Thursday and start getting ready to leave.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Well, folks, this is a pic of brother Randy, Beverly, me and brother Ronnie.

stronghunter said...

I am sure she will appreciate your help, Lolly. Do take care of yourself. It sounds like the flu, could be H1N1.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

It is 60° in Bedford. Should be for some pretty good sleeping weather with the windows open! It is going to be great to be in my bed tonight.

NatureNut said...

Nighty-nite to those who are headed to bed.Been doing a couple chores & editing pics I had forgotten about----Marsh Flowers I took TU. Learned something cool while looking for a clip art blow-up of Spotted Jewelweed flower. Several ingredients in it are used for Prep. H!!!! Well now we know what bears in the woods can use! LOL Gotta ID one that I never saw it's flower before.LOeaf looks like arrowhead.
Lolly, wanted to extend my sympathies to Jack's friend. That's a terrible accident. Same thing happened years ago to the brother of our former Director who was visiting from Ohio.
And get well quick to Laurel.
Gonna watch some TV & get dessert.

Lolly said...

Just talked with Laurel. She is keeping her fever down with advil. She can not stop coughing and she sounds horrible. Taking her lessons plans to school in the morning and papers to the copy center. She will then email in any more changes. She is going to the doctor. Yes, we figure it is the flu and after testing will find out what kind. What a rough way to start the school year!!

paula eagleholic said...

Nice pic Sharon...sounds like you had a nice weekend.

Lolly - sorry to hear about Jack's friend.

stronghunter said...

It is nice to be able to e-mail lesson plans. It would be helpful if someone could pick up any papers she has to take in so she doesn't have to do that.

We are able to get a sub online now. Can even send the lesson plan with the sub request, although I always send copies to at least two friends just in case.

magpie said...

Can't wait to see the new picture posts Loretta. I might get my milkweed bugs up in a few minutes...
Paula, not sure, I don't know Dawn Murray either, but maybe he did intend that one for me..,
and I figured I missed a post also or that you and Mits talked about it when you were at OC, about Grandchild #3, guess I didn't want to admit I CRS.

Judie if it is Lennox, it is Priceless aka our JO
Get it? ☺

stronghunter said...

Jo is a priceless Lennox for sure!

magpie said...

Don't want to miss anyone, so before that happens
Good Night for those Pillow-Bound, or pillows and blankies where it is cool

And I'll be back for another good night in a few minutes...

Got lunch all ready for next two days, chicken salad and things like that.

magpie said...

That IS an awesome picture, Sharon...lovely family.
You sure did pack a punch this week-end, good for you!
Andrew doing okay?

magpie said...

Spotted jewelweed huh....interesting, Loretta, and I have been seeing it for months, which reminds me: I saw a hummingbird today, diving for jewelweed, and New England Asters- no way I can photograph that kind of stuff yet. And the leaves gently falling, at times was not sure I was seeing birds flying of leaves falling.
Lots of Yellow around these parts!

And where is our Deb ???????

stronghunter said...

I saw a hummingbird a couple of days ago.

Going to crawl into my bed now. Good night, everyone.

Lolly said...

Yes, Shirley, they have an automated sub finder system. We had that before I retired. Nice! Yes, I am sorry she has to drive to school in the morning. She is going really early too, before anyone is there.

She likes to have her lessons plans done by Friday, but has not been able to catch up since school started. They have been having to go to meetings during their planning periods and she has not had enough time. She has been so frustrated. Her new principal and new vp are workaholics and expect the same of the teachers. She is not building morale among the teachers.....at all!

Lolly said...

Nite Shirley! Have a good week!

Nite all! Going to watch the news and then head to bed.

Sweet dreams!

Hi, Everyone,
Taking a break from after-dinner Anatomy homework, and realized it's pretty late back east!
Lolly, so sorry to hear about Jack's good friend--and sorry he had to hear about it in the newspaper! My deepest sympathy to both of you! Prayers for you, for Jack, and his friend's family.
Prayers too that Laurel recovers from that nasty bug really soon, and for Jacob and the rest of the family, for continued excellent health! Also prayers that your New Mexico trip will be a fantastic memory maker! Sounds like so much fun!
Jo, thanks for the report on Ed and Dana with such good news! Thank God! Prayers continue for both of them!
Judie, so glad you had a good time at lunch--prayers that you'll be able to get everything done for school tomorrow!
Margy, that's great that you got to see the flyover! I'm going to have to try that sometime.
Well, I'd really better get back to the ole homework.
Prayers being said for all; hope you all have a really restful night's sleep, and I'll talk to you tomorrow.
SPECIAL EARLY BIRTHDAY WISHES FOR RED, AND PRAYERS APLENTY FOR A VERY SUCCESSFUL SURGERY TOMORROW, AND A RECORD-BREAKING, SPEEDY RECOVERY!!!
Leaving my night light on; the porch light will light up when it sees you coming, and the eye scanner is fully enabled. G'night, everyone!

Also forgot to mention that we went and saw the new FAME movie late this afternoon. It's really good!!! Loved the music; SO MUCH talent all in one place!
Well, better call it a night here, for sure--homework is calling my name! Good night, everyone.

hedgie said...

Thanks, Paula---glad to know I didn't miss something important like that great news!

Nice pic, Sharon---good lookin' family! You hair is LONGER!

hedgie said...

Deb had to work today, Margy, but maybe she had evening plans afterwards. Sure hope she didn't come home with a migraine.

hedgie said...

Good night to all who have already turned out their lights.
Paula, went to your profile to see your avatar bigger---opened the raptor blog link and saw the sad news about the poisoned eagle. What a sad story. Know that they had been so hopeful with her early response to treatment.
Think I'm going to get a bowl of ice cream and then head for the tub. See some of you tomorrow, and talk to all sometime--3rd morning in a row that I have to get up a bit early and be ready to head out, but tomorrow will be the earliest!
Rest well, fine fowl folk. Prayers for all.

paula eagleholic said...

Had to chat w/ son about house renovations....now have to fold laundry and hit the hay...catch ya'll tomorrow!

P.S. Margy, wonder why the hay bales were in the water??? Nice pics!!

Judie said...

Never heard of Northern Neck gingerale - just the location.

Yea, Davin! We're all offering our strongest support for you.

Hi Sharon, so glad you had a nice weekend.

Lolly, just having Mom there will be the best medicine. Anything else will be a bonus immune system boost.

Oh dear. What to do? Anyone know how I can put the Lennox on ebay without putting our precious Lennox on ebay?

Well, Cold Case is over so my night is over, also. Brain = fried. Turning my light out but leaving the night light on for others. Late nighters, please don't slam the door.

G'nite all,
Judie

Mema Jo said...

I just missed you Judie!
Which Lennox on ebay?????
I need to read back faster to see what you are referencing. I'm not going on ebay... No one would bid high enough for me!

Mema Jo said...

Cold Case was good - sometimes you can figure out who the guilty party is - they keep introducing new evidence.

It will be great to see Anne Marie again. I will give her all your hello's and hugs.

Good Night All
Peace to All

A Woolie-bear caterpillar is a sure sign it's autumn and I saw my first one just yesterday. However; I always was able to tell the weather by their colorings... usually in 3 sections: 1st part of winter, the middle of winter and the last part of winter. This one was very unusual... The black
mark was like a wide stripe down the entire body with the lighter coloring on the sides. I have no idea what it was predicting! Keep you eyes open for them.

Costume Lady said...

AMAZING RACE was amazing. Love that show. Of course, Cold Case is always good. Glad reruns are over!

Congrats to Paula...do hope it's a girl. 2 sons and 2 grandsons...a girl would be soooo special. (Boys are sweet too, like my Dustin)

I am going to do an AMAZING RACE to my bed. See you all tomorrow. Or maybe not....busy day cut in half with a visit with Anne-Marie. Looking forward to lunch with her and happy that hop a long can go with me:)

GOOD NIGHT
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL

Lolly, maybe you should wear a surgical mask if you go to Laurel's. Worry about you getting sick too...then who would Jack take to New Mexico?;)

magpie said...

Happy Birthday Red ! ☺

Best wishes for your day today, hope the trip to the doctor's goes well and leaves you some time to enjoy your birthday

magpie said...

Best wishes to the Lunch Bunch today, meeting with Anne-Marie, Bill and Sandy...not enough time to stick us all in bottles.

So good that some of the Momsters and Dadsters can have some special time together. Hope you get to the nest, AND, that you see some Eagle Action ☺

Love and Hugs to Anne-Marie, (and everyone else there) and be sure to get pictures !!!

Thanks Jo for the call-around, it was great to hear your voice.

magpie said...

Regarding the Hay Bales in the water at Back Creek/Swinging Bridge...I can't figure out either how they got there, or what the reason would be. The farmer's field which is creekside (there is a view of the farm in that set of pictures too, Fun and Dandy) - was full of hay bales, maybe the farmer wanted to roll a few in the water because they were rejects, or, to provide some cover for the aquatic life. I will see if I can find out sometime. I'm hoping it was not kids pranking.

magpie said...

Okay it's that time, for me anyway.
Out the door, will look for Venus on the way to work ☺

Best Wishes for a Great Day for everyone...

Ms Bookworm said...

Good Morning, Early Birds!
Got Hubby off to work about 20 minutes ago, and am about to start on Anatomy homework again. Wanted to say good morning to you guys first, though.

HEY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RED!

Hmmm...Hubby called right after leaving for work to tell me that an almost all white cat crossed our street just as he was leaving.
Apparently he stopped the car and said something to it, and he said he was pretty sure it would've gotten into the car if he had let it. Better be on the lookout in case it's hanging around. In our street is NOT a good place for a cat! Have no idea whether it has a home or not, but will look for 'lost cat' fliers today.

BTW, our buddy from Paw Paw called yesterday afternoon about story he saw on NBC. Seems the Forestville Mall where Ledos blew up in May experienced another gas leak. Was turned off before any explosion.Think most of the area involved is down near that end by old Ledos. Just heard that 3 stores that are OK to open stayed closed. They are digging, checking the lines and valves behind the stores! About time!!! They said explosion can occur when reading is 4.0. Yesterday it was 3.5. 9 firemen were injured from flying debris in May. That explosion occured after fumes detected and people evacuated.
