morning' again----A friend has a knee problem---doesn't want surgery---told her that some of you folks talk about a 'shot' in the knee & it works for you all---What kind of shot & how long does it last!!! ????
I got a cortizone shot and it has lasted a long time. My knee is doing great. Hiked in Col., up and down the mountain trails. That is the only shot I have ever had. Hoping that if I take care of that knee it won't happen again.
Thinking of Dana. I have purposely been quiet about her surgery since mine did not go well last year. It is fine now and I see better out of that one eye, but it took a while to recover and I have never known it to happen to anyone else!!! Grrrr!!! Why me?
Where is Wanda? I saw on Facebook that she was headed over here. LOL So funny to see folks there as well as on here. I love fb. I really keep up with Sharon and Bev, they are always on!
Lynn, I love the joke you sent around last night. That is me for sure. In a vegetative state, hooked up to a machine and receive fluids for a bottle. LOL
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... Yes, Lolly, I was on Facebook this morning, welcoming JIM as a FRIEND and left to come on the blog, when Gene called me to look at an unusual bird, which was near our garden. Then, I noticed that the garden gate was open...went out to close it, then decided to pick the squash before it got too big...then started pulling weeds and on and on...So, now, I am here:)
Lolly, I spent a good deal of time a few days ago, looking at your vacation photos at the beach. I felt as if I had been there...I could feel the breeze and the sun on my face. Your daughter is lovely and your grandsons are picture perfect! You are so blessed. I haven't seen the Colorado ones yet.
I would have loved to see Hidey examining the 'Tree' in his nest, but Sissy said he was only there for a minute. Lucky her...the early bird gets to see Hidey;)
LOL Wanda, you sound like me. I think it is attention deficit disorder. You go to do one thing and end up doing something else. It is BAD for me to step outside. If I do, I end up spending hours! And, I do need to go out and water pots this morning, but I also want to run some errands today. I will attempt to go out, but not spend the day. ☺
Good morning, Momsters and Dadsters. Lolly, what kind of problem did you have with your cataract? Norma, cortisone is the most frequently used injectable for knees and other joints. There is also the newer Synvasc for knees that replaces missing synovial fluid (lubricant!) that has been very successful.
Here is a message from Suz about the injured Finney chick:
Haven't heard anything. Chrissy sent the Finland Embassy in England an email, or filled out a form with her concerns about the chick, but she hasn't heard anything back from them. Anyway, she did it on the web, found the Finnish Embassy there and filled out whatever they have to 'contact' them. She's now trying to find an email address or something to contact those people, but says her eyes are crossing from reading a language she doesn't understand. Said she looked all over the site for something.
I haven't had time to do the searches she's doing, and I don't know how to contact them. Wish I did, I'd send them an email. They need to get that chick before it attempts to fledge!! Right now it can be handled, but later when it attempts to fly, it will be too late. It will be too hard to try and catch him without hurting him, or him hurting himself.
I will send your photo link to Suz and Chrissy, Shirley.
Laurel is a lovely girl. She is as pretty on the inside as she is on the outside! We are very proud of her. In many ways she is so much like me. She also enjoys working in the yard. Though at this stage in her life, her time is limited. She is not afraid of hard work and mows the yard regularly. LOL And, it is not a riding mower like mine. Glad you enjoyed the pictures.
Well, in the first place when I came home it looked awful, bright red. Then I developed and infection and that infecion then spread to the other eye. Doctor kept acting like everyting was normal, but was checking me every few days. Now I know he was concerned.
I can't make out what the tree greens are, either....I thought maybe VA creeper, but no longer have any here to compare leaves to since SIL's bro cut the roots and it all died!
Lynn, I do have some Va. creeper (nuisance!) and don't think that is it. Has Megan given us her opinion? She's pretty savvy on plants. MEEEEEGAN!! COME SEE!!
I had a really bad experience with a surgeon once. Ended up in the hospital with a bad infection. Later learned that he had lots of problems like that. I still have a newspaper article about his problems. He is no longer around here that I know of. Had to leave the area.
Well, Shirley...hop on your Facebook page and join the crowd! My 'puter doesn't do well on Facebook...it freezes up too often, but I still enjoy it. Something different. Both my daughters are there and it is a good way to keep up with them:)

They split the Food Lion stores. Bloom is high end and Bottom Dollar is supposed to be a place to go for low prices. I haven't been to Bottom Dollar because there isn't one on my regular route of travel. Bloom is very nice.
I was familiar with Food Lion from visiting my mother in North Carolina. There was a Food Town there. I think they changed the name to Food Lion when they expanded because someone else had the name Food Town already.
Morning everyone. Popping in for a minute. Just found out that what I thought was a B&B visit this weekend from brother and sister-in-law will be a several day visit. And you know when folks stay a few days they are bound to see the semi hidden clutter. No time for much computer today.
I was thinking the greenery in the nest was just a seedling from the Sycamore tree.???
I really like Food Lion meats, Wanda. Best I've found since Food 4 Less, Gene!!! Actually, we have 8 or 9 Food Lions in the tri-county area: 3 in Mtbg. area, Hedgesville, Inwood, S.town, Berkeley Springs, and at least one in CharlesTown/Ranson. Have been seeing those Bloom ads on TV...wondered where they were!
After checking Finland blog site, there are no posts more recent than early July....and it mentioned the broken leg then.....a link showing there took me to a page that translated to English saying that the entirety of Finland is shut down for summer vacation for July....hmmmmmmm!
Back to work for me. Got through yesterday's pictures. I will try to post a few later tonight. I get a hair cut after work, so won't be home till later.
Guess I would need that third shoe if I lost one of the other two. ☺
Brother traveled from Miami back to Naples the other day, on Alligator Alley. Saw one large alligator but he was more impressed with the three-mile stretch of highway on which they had to slow for "Panther Crossing." He was quite disappointed NOT to have seen any.
Well, the Nest Tree definately is not a sycamore...it must be a weed. If it were a tree, I don't think it would be so difficult for us to identify it. We have no weeds around here that look like that. Maybe a passing exotic bird brought it from the rain forest:)
Just came in from watering pots and would you believe it sprinkled a little. Hey, I need rain, real rain, not sprinkles!!!Loweeda, what kind of dance are you doing? Not the sprinkle dance!!!
Now going to clean up to run some errands. Jack has gone to lunch with a friend.
Margy, GeeGee felt the same way when she visited the Everglades. They have warnings of Panthers in the area and she saw what she thought may have been Panther tracks, but no Panther. Alligator Alley is very interesting. I would love to stop, but there aren't many places to do that. I use to run out and get a water hyacinth for my water tub, but they started spraying them to get them out of the drainage ditches, etc. Wish they'd bag them up and give them to me. They sell up here for 4-$5.00 a piece!
I was wondering about Horse Nettle with one of the leaves. I agree with Shirley, we all want to believe it is a baby sycamore ☺ I guess we could have a contest to "Name that Tree (or Weed)."
I regret (in a way, but it was sad to see) that I cannot do screen grabs of the Finney Chick with the leg problem. Its talons seemed to be all contracted...at times it looked like no talons at all, but it was sure doing some wing-flapping early this morning.
Well, just passing through, time for afternoon nap before work tonight :(
Visit with the step-daughter and also grandson was great, spent the whole afternoon and evening in Shepherdstown, including a trip to a very nice private swimming pool. Afterwards the little one threw rocks and sticks off the boat ramp into the Potomac. When leaving, I heard the katydids making music and heard one deer "blow" in a nearby field.
Hope the rest of the day is a good one for all, know it will be for Hedgie if she makes that chocolate pie!
You guys are hilarious! Three feet, yeah, that might help me get more done....☺ TTFN xox ♥
The nest tree IS in the Eastern Panhandle (WV) ...Jefferson County....wouldn't that be great it if could be a winner! We know it is a WINNER anyway, all the time ☺
Hi, Everyone! I've not been able to get on the blog for a while--trouble with Internet Explorer. Now that I'm back, it feels like weeks since I've been here, although it's been more like a couple of days. Thanks, Steve and the crew for getting the live cam back on! Good job! Boy, the baby tree (?) sure has grown! That must have been quite a rainstorm, all right!
Haven't anywhere near caught up on the blog, but do remember Lynn asking how big the baby heron is. He's about 14" tall when he's sitting all hunched over like in the picture. When he sees something he's not too sure of, though, his neck gets very long & skinny, and he's probably about 24" tall. He's been flying farther afield, and I'm sure before long won't be around any longer. I think the parents fly all the way to the beach from here to fish. We get some crazy stuff like crab legs and medium sized fish like mackerel under the trees after one of their trips afield.
Raining hard. The alarm went off for the second time. I was just settling down for a nap. Put George in his crate so he is under control for the moment.
Had good nights at school Mon. & Tues. Did well in Keyboard class, and got an A on the test from last week in 'Human Diseases'. Thank God! Tried to get to the blog last night, but computer had shut itself down for some reason, and Internet Explorer wouldn't work again. Wish I could figure out what gets into it! Have to register for classes for the next semester tomorrow. I'm taking 'Anatomy & Physiology', 'Pharmacology', and one last 'Keyboarding' class. Teacher says by the time that's done, I should be able to do 80 wpm with no problem. Hope he's right!
Stay safe, Shirley!!! I was ready earlier this afternoon....warning weas for all of Morgan Co., and I am right on the edge, so was prepared to go to the basement. A few years ago there was a bad one there, only about 2-3 miles from me. Love our nest tree, for sure, but doubt that it would come anywhere close to be the largest tree, Margy!! LOL! Hope you have a good shift....weather better behave for you.
Wow, Shirley, Hope you and George the cat are OK with that storm warning! Good idea to contain George in his crate, just in case. Every once in a while our daughter will call from TX when they have a tornado warning. It's pretty scary! Guess I'm more used to earthquakes. You take care, though--do you have a basement or a 'tornado closet'? Prayers for your safety!
Shirley, looks like we were both typing at the same time! (Notice the time on our postings!) Glad you have a basement to go to. Hope you're OK, too, Lynn! Didn't realize the storm warning affected you, too! Well, just realized I gotta run to the Post Office real quickly to mail a bill. Be right back--round trip should only take 10 min. :o]
I am home, I think I have way too much on my mind. I went to get my hair cut and appt. is tomorrow. I think I did the same thing earlier this year. It is raining and I am "slam wore out", so I am staying home from the birds. No one is going to come and visit in the rain anyway.
Andrea, congrats on another A!!! 80 wpm---unbelievable---could never do that myself, but bet you will make it! Wonder what Bev and Sharon type?? Probably up there, too!
Did a little shopping today and then came home and worked in the yard a bit. It was so humid that I was instantly soaked. Then got sweat in my eyes. Not fun! So came in and started laundry. Now here I sit...sipping wine. ☺
We are going to have corn on the cob for part of our supper. Yum! Bought Olath corn from Colorado. It is in the stores here. Best ears of corn ever!
I really think dessert first is a great idea. After you eat, you are usually too full for dessert. When we were in Paris I would drool over the pastries. We kept saying after our meal.....then never got around to having a yummy pastry! So sad!
I have been in a tornado when I was younger and living in Oklahoma. I don't remember being scared, but I remember the damage. I have seen a couple others, but never with a camera in my hand. It must run in the family, a lot of us are fascinated with storms.
I had forgotten how loud thunder can be in CO. We had a storm when I was there and I jumped at the first loud boom. Thunder here can shake the house, but the noise isn't anything like what you get in the mountains.
I've known for a long time that Giant Pandas, because of their low energy diet, are unable to raise twins in the wild; although they often give birth to twins.
In zoos, of course, humans take over the raising of one of the twins.
But this is the first I've heard of Pandas' bodies selecting the stronger fetus and resorbing the other one before birth.
Shirley, I hope you and George weathered the storm. About 20minutes of rain and a bit of wind. At least George didn't have to stay on the porch.
Andrea, so happy you have once again done well in school. Wish my students were so diligent. Congratulations. I was a late-to-college student so can really appreciate the commitment to succeed.
Our area had a long-time grocery called MacGruder's. Most have sold out to Bloom. Other than the military commissary, I guess we most prefer Harris Teeter and Trader Joe's.
Lolly, here's hoping no weight gain for anyone unless it is a good thing. Never heard of Olath corn -- white? yellow? Yum, Olath corn and wine!
So very, very happy to learn of Bai Yun's pregnancy. Special prayers for success.
Seem tired tonight. So, turning off my light. Hope no one stumbles about in the dark.
Add my oldest son to the unemployment line...we knew it was coming...surprised it didn't happen sooner. Thank goodness he lives in PA, they have better unemployment benefits than Maryland.
Our shade tree in the nest is going to grow taller and taller with all the rain! Not raining yet over the mountain in my valley... Best get the cats off the porch! Night Judie! Megan - you should have joined Mits since you won't need to water with all the rain!
Judie - there are still some Magruders in the Maryland area...4 stores left I think. My Dad loved that store. I went to one frequently with my brother when my Mom was in the nursing home...it was right up the street from her.
Sorry to hear that Paula but I think we're going to hear more and more LIKE my grandson just got hit - mechanic for Honda. I told one of my young cousins he was lucky to be a skilled electrician and his company is contracted for the new Washinton County Hospital on RobinWood Drive up in Hagerstown. That is about a 2-3 yr guarantee of employment.
That was some storm at the nest. Hope all is well. I see it's still blowing and some interference with the cam. Hang on Hidey! Best wishes to all still onboard. Think I'll go check my facebook to see if anyone left a post. God bless everyone. diann
Deb - at least he had some idea he was probably going to be laid off and was able to check out his options. It's still hard, but better when you can prepare a little.
Quite a storm we had here, twice! Paula, sorry about your son, and Jo, your grandson. Guess the only good thing about knowing it's coming is that the total shock/out of the blue feelings don't knock you on your butt, Paula. But it doesn't change the fact that there are bills to be paid and mouths to feed, does it? Hope his wife has a good job.
DIL is a stay at home Mom, she is taking online classes to get her teaching degree. Son has had a second job for several years now to make ends meet. They will have a tough road to hoe. He knows I will be here to help if he needs it.
My daughters' second job had dwindled down to less than 6 hrs. a week by May due to downturn in sales (and sometimes then sending her home when she got there), so she quit it---wasn't worth the gas money or the time away from her family. It all stinks.
Hi, eagle lovers, Mailed the bill, and then dinner was ready. Finally getting back here. Paula, so sorry to hear of your son's job loss! Prayers being said that a better one will come along VERY soon! Boy, sounds like you're really getting pounded by the storms back there! No rain in sight here--but at least the temp was a bit lower here today. We had some early morning marine layer that helped. What fantastic news from San Diego! It will be interesting to see how many pandas are born. Well, prayers being said for everyone, especially those in need of healing. Thanks to God for the protection of you all. I'm going to go watch some TV and read a bit. Talk to you in the morning! G'night!
Whoopee! A new little panda cub! Thanks Jim for the news. Read the article...very interesting. Watched the video and really loved it! I love ultrasounds! Cool!
We have a cool front coming through tomorrow with more chance for rain. Have a cousin's grand daughter in Sioux City, SD for baseball nationals. Anyway, her mom said game was cancelled....something wet was falling from the sky. Think it is called rain. LOL She posted that on FB. Said she took pictures of it. more LOL
Hedgie - son was an inventory specialist/customer service agent for a retailer. What he really wants to do is paramedic/EMT. He has had his EMT for 10 years. Will go back to school for paramedic when DIL is done her schooling.
Ahhhhh!!!!! Excuse me while I scream. We had plans to go to Dallas, spend the nite, and then keep Zach and do jobs to help in the new house. BUT..Gus' mother called and wants us to go to court Friday. Jack is calling her lawyer in the morning. We have questions! Have told her no, but it is hard to completely turn your back on her. Have been talking with Ashley (she turned on her attorney voice). She gave us some good questions to ask. So, guess we have consulted our attorney before we talk with Gina's. LOL
Anyway, I am frustrated. Going to go shower, have a G&T, and then try to sleep.
Thanks, JIM, for alerting us about the Panda cub. How exciting is that!? Very interesting article about pandas, too. Didn't know about any of that stuff.

MORNING STEVE!--Thanks for the WET THREAD!---will call the crew over!
ENJOY YOUR DAY---
Good morning, everyone!
Jo, you have no idea how well I relate to the technologically challenged. My world and more.
Good luck Dana.
Off to get my "do" did so I'll look nice for all bloggers. Then errands.
Andrea, how was school last night?
Shirley, so happy you have your chariot back in business.
Later,
Judie
Oops! So rude - Thank you Steve.
Judie
Morning, all!
Where is everyone?
Whoa! Sure is quiet around here. Good morning Paula! I am just peeking in.
Woke up this morning and it was really dark. Checked the radar and sure enough the rain is out there, but going south. Why, why, why?
Good morning, Lolly.
Good morning, Paula.
morning' again----A friend has a knee problem---doesn't want surgery---told her that some of you folks talk about a 'shot' in the knee & it works for you all---What kind of shot & how long does it last!!! ????
I am guessing cortisone, but I don't know.
I read that Hidey visited the nest briefly this morning.
If Dana is still around, I hope that everything goes well for you today. If you have already left, I am thinking about you and wishing you well.

Good morning my eagle budlets. Cloudy day in Bedford. Thelma is at work and Mattie, Mopsy, Buphals and Buddy are still sleeping. I am working!

Sissy - thanks for being up so early to see our Hidey.
Thanks, Shirley for posting that over here as well.
Good morning Sharon!
Paula, I just LOVE that avatar of yours. Think I told you that before. It is just such a beautiful picture.

The tree plant is growing so fast that I keep thinking it is some kind of weed.

I have a facebook account, too, but have not done anything with it yet.
Hey, Lynn...found Rib Eyes on sale in todays ad at Food Lion for $5.99LB. Good price!
The fact that it looks like there is more than one plant leads me to think that it is spreading.
You all still have Food Lion? Most of ours became Blooms or Bottom Dollar.
Thelma told me yesterday that Food Lion had rib eyes on sale. Good stuff.
Well, Shirley...hop on your Facebook page and join the crowd! My 'puter doesn't do well on Facebook...it freezes up too often, but I still enjoy it. Something different. Both my daughters are there and it is a good way to keep up with them:)

Grannyblt, I think we would like to believe it is a baby sycamore.
Check out the snowman cam. The goose has a new (to me) costume....I really am leaving this time. Mom is finally ready for breakfast.
This pic is sycamore leaves.

Food Lion is headquartered in NC.
I forgot about the Food Lion in Kearneysville and the one by KMart.
We buy all our meat there. Wal Mart meat is not as good.

Hello Mits!
I am home for lunch, caught up on today's news, but still behind for yesterday.
After checking Finland blog site, there are no posts more recent than early July....and it mentioned the broken leg then.....a link showing there took me to a page that translated to English saying that the entirety of Finland is shut down for summer vacation for July....hmmmmmmm!
Three chicks and a parent at Finney's - it's getting dark or light, one of the two
Hello Folks ☺
Gentle rainfall here.
Just got a craving for and made a chocolate pie!!!
Back to work for me. Got through yesterday's pictures. I will try to post a few later tonight. I get a hair cut after work, so won't be home till later.
Hi Deb, Bye Deb.
xo
I'm getting emails all the time from Sears regarding their sales.
Here's this morning's heading:

Margy.....or if you had three feet!
Bye, Deb.
Margy, made one trip through Alligator Alley and back and never saw a panther or alligator, either----very disappointing to us, too.
LOLLY, I think Margy does have 3 feet. She must, because she can be everywhere at once.
getting dark at Finland---for however long night lasts now!
Sorry, Lolly, not raining hard enough to share with you!
I think you are right Wanda on the 3 feet thing! :)
I have never even been to Florida!
I was wondering about Horse Nettle with one of the leaves. I agree with Shirley, we all want to believe it is a baby sycamore ☺
I guess we could have a contest to "Name that Tree (or Weed)."
Three feet, yeah, that might help me get more done....☺
TTFN xox ♥
The best part of Florida, Sharon, is the Southeastern beaches and the tropical places like Everglades. I do hope you can get there someday:)
LOL, have never seen a sprinkle dance....I have seen a "tinkle" dance :):)
I have mastered the tinkle dance myself! That is too good Paula!
I would guess they have a hands off policy in Finland, otherwise they would have taken the chick when they ringed them.

Good morning Jim! (well, afternoon here!) :)
LMBO, Paula!
CORRECTION...I meant to say the Southwestern part of Florida has the best beaches...I love the Gulf side.
Gone to GG's.
Back for a visit.
Quiet day today. Got home and tried to catch up on "things" that needed to be done. Very sleepy day. I think early dinner, reading, and sleep.
Hope everyone is doing well.
Judie
Shirley, grab your flashlight. Storm headed your way.
Delta nest eaglet practicing. Flap-hopped out on a limb but did a bit of slipping around. I guess it won't be long now.
Cheers,
Judie
Hope you are doing well, Judie, also. ☺
Thinking of all those that had doctor's things today...and hoping they went well.
It's surely night time now in Finland.
xo
Megan - We are waiting for your expert opinion on the leaves/tree/weed in OUR nest...
Hope you are doing as well as my Megan Flowers are doing. My butterfly plant is in buds and should be blooming soon ☺
Also, Megan - my rudbeckia triloba is Big and Bushy but no buds yet...and the snapdragons continue to thrive ☺
Is it the wind or is it Hidey making that noise near the cam...?
Yep, hoping for all good doctor results.
I think the Hidey nest noise is wind. Sure wish it would be HIdey.
Later,
Judie
Biggest Tree Contest for the Eastern Panhandle is underway, with a deadline of Friday:
Just in case anyone would want to make an entry :
Biggest Tree Contest
I know of some big trees but don't think I can come up with the winning entry in just two days.
Tornado warning here. So far just a little rain. Nothing scary going on right now. I think the bad stuff is a little south.
The nest tree IS in the Eastern Panhandle (WV) ...Jefferson County....wouldn't that be great it if could be a winner!
We know it is a WINNER anyway, all the time ☺
Oh Shirley, be careful! We get all the weather alerts at work on teletype, so I am sure I will see some from your area when I get there at 6 pm...
Been in touch with the two children living down here. Have George in sight. Will go to basement if I need to. There is some thunder.
They have extended the warning until 6:00.
I do have a basement, and I'm sitting near the door, so could get down there in hurry if I have to.
Calming down now. I think the worst is past.
Wow, Shirley,
Hope you and George the cat are OK with that storm warning!
Good News, Andrea, and fearful report Lynn - and scary where Shirley is !
Sure that affects a few others on here too.
Hope it all just, disappears!
Saw a church sign message I really like:
"Do not Judge your Day by the Harvest you Reap, but by the Seeds you have Planted. "
Wanda I think this is at your church on East Moler!
Time to leave for work. Best wishes for Safety and Comfort, Peace and Joy tonight.
God Bless Us, Every One.
xox ☺ ♥
Bye, Margy.
Congrats on the good grades Andrea.
I think it is almost safe to take that nap now. Got some good rain out of that storm. Could do without the drama.
Hope nobody north of here gets a tornado. Storms are going northeast.
I am home, I think I have way too much on my mind. I went to get my hair cut and appt. is tomorrow. I think I did the same thing earlier this year. It is raining and I am "slam wore out", so I am staying home from the birds. No one is going to come and visit in the rain anyway.
Shirley, glad you didn't get the tornado. Andrea, congrats on all your tests and classes.
Batten down the hatches, Judie and Marylanders. You might get some of this, though they are saying it is weakening.
Maybe you will just get some good rain.
Thanks Deb, I don't want a tornado.
Now to take that nap.
Shirley, I would love to see one that stays up in the air. I don't want to see one that does damage to anyone.
I guess that would be interesting, Deb.
Sounds scary, though.
Andrea, congrats on another A!!! 80 wpm---unbelievable---could never do that myself, but bet you will make it! Wonder what Bev and Sharon type?? Probably up there, too!
I have had a lazy afternoon - did the lab work and came home and ate lunch.
Now I am getting dinner on the table.
Not getting any bad weather yet..
Deb - yes, you did that once before with your hair appointment!
lol
BBL
Did a little shopping today and then came home and worked in the yard a bit. It was so humid that I was instantly soaked. Then got sweat in my eyes. Not fun! So came in and started laundry. Now here I sit...sipping wine. ☺
We are going to have corn on the cob for part of our supper. Yum! Bought Olath corn from Colorado. It is in the stores here. Best ears of corn ever!
Hello- looking at the plant in the nest, which I had just assumed was a sycamore. Perhaps it's a datura plant, they seed readily around here.
Last load of laundry DONE! Now to rustle up some chow. Would rather eat dessert first, but I'll be good...mmmm, chocolate pie!
No, Deb! I do not even want to see one that stays up in the air. That is soooo scary! I did see little one dipping down out of a wall cloud years ago.
I really think dessert first is a great idea. After you eat, you are usually too full for dessert. When we were in Paris I would drool over the pastries. We kept saying after our meal.....then never got around to having a yummy pastry! So sad!
I have been eating "normal" since early June now, so over a month, close to two and I have not gained weight. Monitor it closely. Will NOT gain!
Thunder here can shake the house, but the noise isn't anything like what you get in the mountains.
mojito time:):):), ordering food in, because we are too lazy to go out:)
storms went passed us today...
BWO update....
Nest Update
07/29/09:
Looks like Braveheart is getting close to her maiden flight; lots of airtime over the nest
Why yes, I would like a mojito...
Megan, come on down:)
Don't tempt me....
I loaded some Osprey pictures, in the blog called Osprey, 2009.
Neat pictures, Deb.
There wasn't a lot of time to take good pictures. Between Roger and I we would grab the camera when one of us had free hands.
No, Deb, they really are good pictures. Gave us a good idea of what was going on.
Deb thanks. Nice pictures.
Bai Yun is Pregnant!
Have you seen this exciting news yet??
Take a look at the latest blog entry.
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
Thanks Jim. Twins
She is a twin and has been pregnant with twins before but has only had single births.
I am going to call it a night. Pleasant dreams all.

Back again,
Shirley, I hope you and George weathered the storm.
Good night everyone,
Judie
Thunerstorm about to hit here and already raining at the nest.
Storming at the nest
I think that took 5 minutes to post..puter freezing up
Add my oldest son to the unemployment line...we knew it was coming...surprised it didn't happen sooner. Thank goodness he lives in PA, they have better unemployment benefits than Maryland.
Yikes, sorry to hear that, Paula.
WHoo Hoo! Thanks Jim for the info about the SD Zoo goni to get a new little panda cub for us to watch!
It's pouring here. And yeah, I would love to be under the influence of a beach mojito right now.
http://www.magruders.com/
Judie - make that 4 in MD and 3 in VA
Oooh, thunder here, gotta go get the dog inside.
Sorry to hear that Paula but I think we're going to hear more and more LIKE
my grandson just got hit - mechanic for Honda. I told one of my young cousins he was lucky to be a skilled electrician and his company is contracted for the new Washinton County Hospital on RobinWood Drive up in Hagerstown. That is about a 2-3 yr guarantee of employment.
I guess the storm (rain) bypassed me and headed up North to Paula's!
Oh just hang on, Jo, it is headed at you.
Will do!
Watching the lightening and listening to the thunder! And watching the
rain drops fall!
Jo, Plumber, electrician and undertaker...still good jobs.
But I am also watching some interference on the cam. Sure hope it doesn't get knocked out again to the blue.
Paula, that is too bad about your son. It is such a scary time for employment right now.
It's true when you think of occupations that some of them will always be steady jobs due to demand!
It is raining in my valley - You were so right, Megan.
Yes, Jim, thanks for the wonderful update on Bai. It will be interesting to see how many she ends up having.
I am off to bed, hope Dana is doing well after her surgery today.
Night everyone.
Night Deb
I have been thinking of Dana - Pray the surgery went well and that she
has a speedy recovery.
WOW! That big BOOM overhead shook my house! At least I knew it was coming when I saw the lightening!
Like others - I don't mind Thunder Storms - think I got that from my Dad
as we used to go to the outer porch to watch them.
Getting some good rain here now.
DIL is a stay at home Mom, she is taking online classes to get her teaching degree. Son has had a second job for several years now to make ends meet. They will have a tough road to hoe. He knows I will be here to help if he needs it.
Storm past us now, it really poured.
What exciting news out of SD! Hope that she carries both to term, and then vets/officials can decide what to do postpartum.
WOWSER!
Just had one of those really close and loud thunder bumpers!!
Glad I didn't water tonight!
Oh, there's another one. Dish is still out!
My daughters' second job had dwindled down to less than 6 hrs. a week by May due to downturn in sales (and sometimes then sending her home when she got there), so she quit it---wasn't worth the gas money or the time away from her family. It all stinks.
Paula, what is/was your sons occupation or career?
At least our CAM has weathered the storm!
Hi, eagle lovers,
Mailed the bill, and then dinner was ready.
Well good people, gonna shut 'er down for tonight. Talk to ya'll tomorrow.
Hugs to all ♥
News is on - evening has gone by too fast.
Good Night All
Prayers for all in need
((hugs)) ♥
Following you all out the door. Goodnight, sleep tight. Prayers for all. Hope Dana rests comfortably and feels like visiting with us tomorrow.
Nite all! Sweet dreams!
good night everyone...prayers for all.
Thanks, JIM, for alerting us about the Panda cub. How exciting is that!? Very interesting article about pandas, too. Didn't know about any of that stuff.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SLEEP TIGHT
PRAYERS FOR ALL
(Hope you feel OK, Dana)

i Never signed off last night, and I'm up in the very early morning here. Not ready to start the day altogether yet.
