That's ok....like I said earlier...I haven't been able to blog like I want too....it's hard cause I'm working through the day...but I knew you'd remember!!!
Sharon - I think you need to rent a bus and create a route to pick up all these new bloggers and bring them into Open House Oct 17th! There are quite a few - at least enough to fill up a bus!
I hear the rain at the nest! Hasn't come over the mountain yet!
Hidey looks sooo big lying in the nest...remember when he was so little, he would get lost in the bowl and we couldn't see him? Time flies and so does Hidey. LOL
Ok, Sharon...see I'm a little forgetful too....I was thinking it was your sister's son...ok....we'll get things straight eventually!!!! That band trips sounds like a winner!!! That would be so much fun!!! Hope you get to go!!!!
Yep, raining here now, nice calm rain so far. Yard boy will be happy. Today was the last day of school and kid ws just invited to Deep Creek lake tomorrow til Sunday. So nice to have friends:) Since we are financially challenged(we are no longer embarassed, it's just a fact)here, we rely on the kindness of others to provide summer entertainment. Luckily for us, daughter is a great kid, and gets invited to a lot of places.
I am done mowing, Paula's Chinese food sure sounds good, but I don't have the energy to go get it. I think a nice bowl of cereal is just what I am going to have.
It's weird to hear thunder on the computer and outside my window at the same time. Darn dog is flippin out- he hates thunderstorms. Last night he cried like a baby til I let him up on my bed.
Dana, haven't heard a thing about it....no big Berkeley Co. or city activity on scanner since I got home around 3....that I've heard....how did you hear about it? When did it happen??? Nothing on 25's web page.
So far it's not real windy here, Dana, only about 5-10 mph. I am having a salad with romaine lettuce from my garden. But now I am thinking about Chinese food...
Wow....LOTS of birthday babies today!!!! Did you see the comment that my daughter's name is Jessica...and her birthday is today!!! Sweet "29"!!! Boy...do I feel old!!!!
momsmiley if it were true then that monies will show up in that pager that comes around. Stating your name and they have unfound money for you. I just set back and watch for that paper lol I'm not emailing them a thing!!
Wanda, that was "lou" who is in Martinsburg. She has a very strange last name.....same as the guy who got me wired up w/ wireless for my laptop---thought maybe she was his wife, but not the same first name or same occupation...he is from Ohio, I think...maybe this is his sister....daughter trying to find out!
Oh Dana, you found it. I will never forget recording it. I was shaking all over, doing it with the Fraps 30 seconds at a time. I think I was even talking to Jo on the phone at the time!

I would be publishing your personal email address in order for members to send you a greeting ecard. The Eagle Cam Daily Blog also is used for birthday comments. Thanks (hugs)) Mema Jo
Dana...scoop as far as I've learned....Denali Street behind Heffle Motors right before the GM light...guy smoking and doing something w/ gas....melted siding on house next door. No one knows anything about Rt. 11S!
Thelma is "T-Bird" on the blog. Jewell mainly sends emails of info out but not on the blog. Carol comes on every once in a while and she is the one that Capt Eagle waves to as he passes by on his way hunting & fishing at Seneca Rock (I think). The more ecards we send the more bonded we get!
Lynn you remember the game....all sitting around pass a phrase or sentence around. See how it comes out when last person gets it...must be same thing here with the house blowing up.
Sharon....maybe my son-in-law will be his mailman!!! Jessica's husband, Tony, is a rural carrier for Scott Depot!!! The world's getting smaller and smaller!!!! LOL
I keep forgetting to tell you that my uncle is up and walking. He has to use a special walker for now, but we are all so excited that he has made it this far. Thanks everyone for all your prayers!
Yes...I went w/my sister....we stopped in on Oak Hill High and Midland Trails....it was decorated so pretty...and there were some beautiful dresses....the guys were pretty sharp too!!

It's actually a nice calm rain, some of it heavy, but no wind and not as much thunder and lightning as last night's storm. This rain is just what I needed, no watering in all the plants tomorrow, can focus on transplanting seedlings and sowing more seeds in the GH. I'm headed to bed, long day, my muscles are sore. Good nite all:)
Good to see Finney land back up...angle is a bit different, but at least it's working. Sure wish water nest cam would get fixed...boo! Good night to those turning in. Deb, what time is the service on the 10th?
I just got off the phone with my aunt and my Uncle Bob is up to 180 feet in walking today. Not bad at all with just starting up again. It tires out his shoulders, but he will get used to that. His legs will get stronger, too, and that will take some of the pressure off of his shoulders.
I was typing one handed before, I leave SF on Tuesday morning at 7, get to CA at noon. My uncle and niece get in at 11:45, so that is only one trip to LAX. I leave CA at 10 on Sunday, get to Sioux Falls at 6.
Now I am off to read and relax before bed. Night everyone.
We have to be ready and waiting at the entrance to the Nat. Cemetery at 12:50, service is at 1:00. Then we drive back to Hemet, 1 hour away, for a Celebration of Life. There will be a small program, time for people to talk if they wish. Then food and visiting until 4:30.
Tuesday night close friends and family will gather for dinner at my dad's place--nothing fancy, just brats and burgers on the grill.
Got an email from Red...he says Hi! No real improvement in his condition with the O2. Still trying to find the right thing for a move. Prayers for his health and that he can sell and buy what he needs. Dana, so far nothing on Ch. 25 news.
Hi! Anybody out there? Is that you, Hidey, on the edge of the nest at 2:00? I believe it is you! Good thing you're close, if it's going to rain more. I see Spidey's been busy, too. Guess what! Saw what I believe was a female Hooded Oriole on our feeders this afternoon! She's really pretty. The Rufous hummers and Anna's hummers are still battling for territory here, too. Persistent little rascals, all of them! Boy, hang on, Hidey and Spidey, it's getting windier! We actually had some sprinkles here in SoCal today, too! Kinda unusual, but nice. BTW, I think I did well on the test at school tonight! Thank God-- it was on 9 chapters! Thanks for your prayers for me! Well, I'm beat, and must catch up on the blog. Think I'll hit the hay, and catch up tomorrow. Prayers for all needs, prayers for healing, thanksgiving for friendship and fellowship, and prayers for everyone's safety. 'Nite, all, good night, Hidey, good night, Spidey, (and good night, John Boy, wherever you are!) God bless! :o]
Hmm. Andrea, I think we had mostly Anna's with an occasional Costas Hummer when we lived near Del Mar in SD County, but there wasn't a big variety there.
Then in S.A. since I've been feeding them, it's been all Black-Chins, except for one or two Rufous, which stopped at my feeder when migrating through the area. I thought they nested much farther north.
One or two Anna's, one was sick or injured and sat at the feeder most of the day for a while, stopped one or two times.
My sister, who lives south of Oceanside, had to take her feeders down, because of the clan of Anna's, which not only took over her tree, her front yard and patio, but would constantly threaten and chirp so loudly at each other that you couldn't hear yourself. The neighbors a couple of blocks away could hear them if they were outside.
I coulldn't sleep. Had something on my mind that someone may be able to help with. Has or will Hidey be banded? If so, when? I'm so addicted to this little (?) guy I might cry if I don't see him. Have a pleasant night. God bless you all. P.S. Is there a link to a hummingbird cam? I feed them in my yard but haven't seen any yet. They are such little wonders. Thanx
No, PA Nana, they do not band the birds associated with this nest.
I think it is because Bald Eagles are very well reestablished in the area of the Potomac, and scientists do not need further information on the birds of the area. At least not at the present.
Good morning out there in eagleland! Hope everyone is well. I can't see Hidey if she is in the nest, can't tell. Last real day of school for Mattie today, 5th grade graduation. Middle school next year, for crying out loud!!
Checking in this morning and Hidey is in the nest...looks like she/he weathered the heavy rains we had overnite...boy did it pour! My how big and beautiful our little baby has become! Will check in later and wish all a wonderful day!
Tammy/All: will be getting the day started now - work...what a silly thing to have to do! :) Hope all have a wonderful day...temps back in the 60s in VA and WV today...need to get out to check on the garden and hope all is still standing after tremendous downpours last night. Can't wait to pick the first tomatoes! Talk to you all later today when new thread is opened!
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... Hidey appeared to be eating something other than nestovers. Did anyone see a delivery? Hope we get to see Hidey bring home a meal that he caught himself:)

So far, there is no lightning or thunder. Megan must have done her Rain Dance. Happy for her and her YARD BOY;)

Just heard thunder here and at same time at the nest.
Spoke too soon...thunder now.
Poor Hidey.....I hate to see her wet!!!! But it's probably bothering me more than her!! LOL
I hear the thunder too!!! Where my daughter lives (Hurricane) they got a horrible storm earlier today....also Charleston area....many accidents, etc.
I am done mowing, Paula's Chinese food sure sounds good, but I don't have the energy to go get it. I think a nice bowl of cereal is just what I am going to have.
WOW opened my other mailbox...I got $1,500,000.00 in US Dollars....huh yea right..
It's weird to hear thunder on the computer and outside my window at the same time. Darn dog is flippin out- he hates thunderstorms. Last night he cried like a baby til I let him up on my bed.
Don't you just love those in your mailbox. Usually it is foregin monies but this time it is US monies. Oh don't they have time to do anything else.
Dana, haven't heard a thing about it....no big Berkeley Co. or city activity on scanner since I got home around 3....that I've heard....how did you hear about it? When did it happen??? Nothing on 25's web page.
Megan how is the wind down your way?
Sister was at Food Lion near K-Mart at Rt. 11. Man came in and said it happened but I don't know what time.

Well, I don't see in your comments where Hidey departed the nest, but I cannot see him in there now.
Oh shoot, I just saw a little movement at about 3 o'clock, zoomed in and can just barely see him when he raises his foot or something.
Did you see that beautiful pic of the BWO chick posted by Lisa??

Good Morning -
Hidey is back i the nest. I check around 1:45 and couldn't even see her standing on the edge...now at 4AM, here s/he is.
PA NANA: I understand your feelings of missing Hidey. What a very special eaglet he is.
You can find the HUMMINGBIRD cam (with a chick in the tiny nest) on Ustream.com

Which reminds me, cold pizza in frig..
