I was watching early this morning 2 min. before Hidey took off and thought Geez she looks like she's gonna fly again, but I thought surely, not in the dark!
Hi ladies...just checking in on our dear Hidey...looks like she/he is out and about...:) Will check back as usual during the day as time permits at work...looks like we are in for some rain over the course of the next few days...with maybe weekend looking clear...hope you all have a great day...and hope to see our Hidey come back for a visit today as yesterday. Also as a note, not sure anyone is following but the filly owners (Rachel Alexandra) have decided not to run her in the Belmont...this is a good thing in this horse lovers book...that girl made her mark...no sense in running her in this longest leg of the triple crown and maybe causing an injury or worse...not sure I could take another beautiful animal in this sport going down :(
Good Morning Ealgleland! It was so funny watching Hidey sleeping on his feet on the edge of the nest last night! Silly thing kept waking up and fall right back to sleep. I thought he was going to fall out of nest. It sure is good to see that Mr. Harless is still taking beautiful pictures! :)
BOZZETT!!---I was so proud of RACHAEL ALEXANDERA---I didn't quit smiling for a WEEK!---I kept referring to JOCKEY CALVIN as a friend---KIDDIN!!'----thanks for the info!
Norma more testing for Ed on June 10th then that day we will know what CT Scan and this test shows. His breathing is bad. He does anything even on the oxygen it drops in low 70's. Thank you for asking. Thank you for prayers.
Good morning from SC. IT was funny watching Hidey sleep on the edge of the nest in between fighting off the insects.I hope I get to see her fly today. My behind is getting paralyzed sitting here listening and watching for something to happen.Gwen
Am going to work now...and yes, NormaByrd, I think she could have outrun the field...Calvin will maybe be the first jockey to win the triple crown on 2 different horses...so that will be something to watch for sure. I am praying for all who have been spoken about this morning...Dana, Sen Byrd, etc...and if I have not said it before, having coffee with you all when I can in the morning and closing down my day with you all of an evening is something I truly treasure...sometimes 'life' can be challenging without God and our friends ...even though only on a blog, can provide...my best for a great day and will talk to you all later...
Well, shoot, keeps cutting off the end of the address. If you Google Pete's Pond, it will take you there but I bet someone else can send the blue link thing. Sorry about that Aimeecat! ☺
Good morning, my power has been off for about 40 minutes. Now I can get my cam checks in before work. I brought up the Kestrels, too, Norma. They sure take up most of the space in the nest box.
SISSY!--I have classes this am---so I am dressing & blogging!!---I am like you SISSY---I can't give it either---I watch a NAT. GEOG. site--not sure if it is the same as you have---Very informative---just showed an SEA EAGLE NAB a a SEA SNAKE-- yeah!--
Good Morning Ceil (Seal love that avatar), Wanda, Norma (prayers for Sen. Byrd), GAGirl, Sissy (prayers for your Tom), Bozzett, Lori, Aimeecat, Gwen, JustVicky and all watchers.
Hear thunder here! Jack keeps checking the radar....hope it makes it to us! Put down fertilizer and pre emergent yesterday.
Going to Denton this afternoon. Have both a ball game and a end of school program to go to. Jack will go to the ball game and I will go with Laurel to the program.
DANA posted the link to go and vote for our BOB QUINN at 8:05am. Please take the time to go back to her link and vote! Bob is one of us and we love him like a brother. He has donated many of his photos to the Eaglet Momsters to help fund the Eagle Camera fund. I have posted a photo of him on my blog, "JUST FOR FUN", to introduce him to those of you who have not had the pleasure of meeting him.
Did I tell y'all how Jacob turned his back to the audience at his last program? Everyone was laughing! Here he is a head taller, with his back to the audience. I have had a talk with him, we will see if it did any good.
He is so precious! Before he turned his back, he put his hands over his ears. So funny! He told us he did not want people looking at him. I drew pictures to show him that people look at the one who is different. That if he does what he is supposed to do only his family will be watching him. I think he understood. We'll see!
Good morning y'all! Hidey was home when I opened cam earlier...sounds like (s)he's been out and back and out again since then!! Really had to laugh at last nights "asleep on feet on edge" stance....was sure there was going to a rude awakening! Sissy, in case you missed my post from yesterday....please schedule Tom for an apptmt. w/ an infectious disease specialist!
Had just seen in paper this am that Byrd was STILL in hospital....it's been over 2 weeks....they say a secondary staph infection...bet it's MRSA! He's a tough ol' byrd (!!) and will no doubt be okay....but still think he needs to retire. A bear was found roaming around the capital bldg. in Charleston this week!! State animal wanted his voice heard!

Good Morning Sharon ( : Well don't they have phones in Bluefield----just kidding.
Hi everyone, Deb, Norma, Ceil, Sharon, Dana, Wanda, Sissy, GA Girl -
Do I hear Hidey banging around up there?
I was wondering if she got to "eat out" this morning.
Good Morning Lolly ( :
Sharon they might have thought it was too late to call you. Wanted you to get your rest. Sisters are like that you know tee hee
Hear thunder here! Jack keeps checking the radar....hope it makes it to us! Put down fertilizer and pre emergent yesterday.

Me too! Do not want another cancellations on ball games. However, we have the program to go to.
Did I tell y'all how Jacob turned his back to the audience at his last program? Everyone was laughing! Here he is a head taller, with his back to the audience. I have had a talk with him, we will see if it did any good.

Are there any other live cam sites anyone could pass along. I have Pete's Pond. I think somebody mentioned loons in an earlier post?
Thanks
Oh, it is getting dark outside. Fingers crossed for rain!
The loons have left the cam area. If you go to beakspeak.com you will find lots of cams.
Won't be long before the OK eaglet fledges. He is sitting on the very edge like Hidey.
We will have to wait another year for the loon cam again. Be sure to check out Beakspeak.com, there are so many cams there.
I am off to work, bbl.
Hi Hidey nice you dropped in ( :
Wow, that was a great landing, did you all see that??
I do believe that was a nice "fly in" not a "drop in".
Hidey found some food.
Sharon it was a GREAT landing!
Many webcams to watch when you go to Beakspeak click here A PLACE TO CLICK ON MANY WEBCAM
Thanks Dana. Yeah, it is some pretty tough stuff! I don't think he comprehends the seriousness of it, though.
No, did not see it! Drat! Was at NBG watching the triplets!
Thanks Lolly and Deb!
Very nice landing Hidey! She's getting to be old hat at this!
Welcome driller703 to our Eagleland.

LOL Love it, Lori! We all have the same affliction.
Sorry missed you Gabriela Good Morning.
I just hope I get to see Hidey take off or land before she goes for good.
We've been pretty lucky that she keeps coming back so often.
Dana - you are the WIZ at this computer stuff - links, posting pics, etc. I want to be like you, too. :)
Morning All
Well, it is raining lightly, I stepped outside to speak to Jack and what do you know.....Hidey takes off and I miss it. Story of my life!
The eaglet has landed!
A little clumsy, but not bad!!
Didn't get it recorded, though.
Looking for nestovers!
Hidey sure is getting good at those landings. Looking for more food I think.
i saw that one--- i'll echo the "not bad!"
makin' it look easy now, hunh, hidey. sometimes anyway.
and g'morning, everybody.
Morning, naturegirl....pretty sunset pic.
Morning Lisa, Lolly, Lori, Dana, and anyone else I've missed!
I think Hidey is working on that nestover again...
Paula, Dana & the experts,
Do all the eaglets come and go as much as Hidey?
Morning and thanks Paula, my daughter took this pic just outside of her house.
They do in the beginning, right after fledging, Lori. The visits will decrease over the weeks.
Wow, I got the take off...from 3ish....looked great!
Was not going to take my eyes off the nest! Saw Hidey take off! Now I want to witness a landing!
Well, I finally got to see Hidey practice for take-off and fly away.Sooo precious. Gwen
Take offs are getting better and better just like the landings.
There is that bird stealing fluff again from our nest.
OMG! Look at that brazen little bird stealing from the nest? Anybody know what it is?! Gutsy little bird!
Maybe a mockingbird? Saw it doing the same thing the other day.
Maybe that is where all of Mema Jo's turtle shells go???
In case you haven't seen Hidey taking off or landing yet, here's a video of the take off from 10:04 this morning.

Great Paula! Now get a landing! LOL
Off to eat breakfast and get a few things accomplished!
Have a great day!
BBL
Hi....Bye, Lynn! Great advice for Tom! He has a serious problem!
Morning everyone, have a good day:)
Thanks for the video link of this morning's take off, Paula!
Sissy, good advice for Tom....need more expert advice for him
BWO...UPDATE....
Nest Update
06/02/09:
It appears we still have three eggs. The first egg is still within its normal hatching time; however, if it's infertile, there is always hope for the other two eggs to hatch.
Have to get some errands done. Check back later. Have a great day everyone.
Good Morning All! Great video Paula - going to be hard to catch the Fly In!
Hidey has really entertained us with the in's and out's!
Daughter visiting - I'll also be in & out today!
Lynn, we don't have an ID physician locally. Tom has an appt with his PCP tomorrow and we are going to try to get a referral. No one will see him without a referral. Medical care is so complicated anymore!!
I forgot to tell you, Capt. Gene and our S-I-L saw a big black bear and a bald eagle near Seneca Rock on their way to Elkins.
CAROL, Gene waved to you, again, as he went by your territory:)

Good Eagle Morning to Mema Jo, Lynn, Mits and Jim coming in.
Adult just landed with a fish...sounds like Hidey is close by!
I think that is Belle she is looking up.
C'mon down, Hidey!
NEST WEATHER FOR HIDEY....
This Afternoon

» ZIP Code Detail
Tonight
Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms... mainly in the evening. Lows in the lower 60s. West winds around 5 mph in the evening...becoming light and variable. Chance of rain 30 percent.
Wednesday
Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning...then mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 80s. West winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent.
AMEN
You can really hear him now!
That's what we should have heard on Saturday if he was nearby when parents brought food!
Moving fish in nest and you can hear Hidey. Should be making an entrance soon.
Hidey just dropped in!!
PLUNK
Beaking at parent!! Love it!
Hidey is down
LOL! She practically landed on her parent!!
Belle just hit the camera and wacked it out.
That is saying "I WANT THAT FISH" !!
you could hear him Saturday, he was just not as close as he was now, and had no idea how to get down
Ruh roh! Adult hit the cam on take off!!
uh-oh! Parent hit the camera on her way out!
Needs another whack to correct it...please stay on, cam.
Not good!
Is the sound still on? I can't tell ...
Okay, somebody take their eagle cane and go whack the camera.
Sound is still on.
I can't watch that, it will make me sick. Reminds me of a strobe light.
Yup, Strobe cam.
I used to blame strobe lights in a bar for making me sick. Couldn't have had anything to do with the Tequila Sunrises! :)
IF I wouldn't have read comments upon opening the cam I would think there was a severe thunderstorm at the nest!
Oh No!!!! This is bad news.
yuck...sound is fine....don't know how they can fix this:(
It's like eagle cam in Mars! At least it is still transmitting. Tough camera.
Yeah, I don't think anything good is going to come out of this.
oh yeah Sharon, the TS's had nothing to do with it....this could give you a migraine
Hope she whacked Spidey, too :)
I keep wanting to whack the side of my computer monitor....
Blue Birds are gone out at the WW cam
Good grief- cam pic looks like a black and white horror movie... hope we don't lose the pic, but it looks like the cam got hit pretty hard.
HOWDY ALL:)
Howdy there Megan welcome to The Horror Show At Eagleland put your sunglasses on.
Paula whacking it doesn't work...lol I did that to monitor.
It is going to take more than sunglasses, maybe motion sickness pills or something.
Thanks Mits that reminds me. Bluebirds mine must have hatched!! ( : happy happy I can't get the ladder and don't want Ed to get it to see how many. Ed seen parent bringing out the little "poop package". ( :
Oh, what a terrible picture....knew as soon as I refreshed it that it was a hard hit result! Well, doubtful that there will be any improvement for the rest of this season unless another whack helps...dern it all.
Well, pass the motion sickness pills and a Tequila Sunrise to wash them down, please.
Now that's a better pic.
Sharon try a pair of sunglasses it helps to not make you sick....working for me. I wore them when kids had the band with strobe lights and I had to take them to their sets.
Oh heat it has stopped now maybe I can take off the sunglasses. ( :
ROFLMAO, Megan. That is too good!
It has straightened out!
Well, that is a definite God thing!
WHOOO HOOOO!
Well that is better I can see we all had the faith by the comments lol
Let's hear it for Electronics and our Web Cam Geniuses !!
Good Morning everyone, think I can say that now with the cam pic improved ! ☺
Whew!!
Maybe we need something like the baseball catchers wear over their faces to cover our cam next year ☺
Ask (complain lol) And You Shall Receive!!
Hidey must have an IT guardian angel:)
Nate said that Gorilla Tape was good. Man he doesn't know the half of whats happened up here but he was right.
Thought Hidey was leaving, but flew to the 2 position instead....back to the launch pad....
poof
Finally got up the nerve and took off like a pro!!
What a wingspan, Hidey is sure getting good at takeoffs.
Hallelujah Hawaii !
I finally saw a take-off with my very own eyes...so did Blogger Cop ! ☺
Like that, Mits an IT Guardian Angel, Mits...think you are Soooo right about that ! ☺
Well I didn't get a still shot of that take off.
Mor'n Margy ( :
Megan I think it is so cool that with all the long hours you have put in, you got to see a lot of the Eaglet Action when it was happening....you must have an Eaglet Guardian Angel ! ☺ xo ♥
Voting for Bob's picture again.
Hi Dana
We haven't had any bear sighting reports lately at work for me to pass along to you, guess you will have to go to Charleston to see one, or Gaylord Michigan.
Oh Hello Parent Eagle !
Adult in the nest.
normabyrd,
Got it thanks!
Sorry for the delayed response,,,,Im at work. :-)
I'm not sure, Margy, must just be dumb luck. I was pretty sure my guardian angel took early retirement.
Adult in nest!
Was watching cam while walking/excercises! Finally saw Hidey do a landing....on top of adult! LOL Then saw the adult whack the cam on take off. So glad it corrected itself. I thought that was it for the season!
Oh, thank goodness---it fixed itself, I guess!
Well Margy until I can see a real one walking around outside. I will settle for my great picture on my desk here of one ( :
I've had a lot more connection with my Guardian Angel since I named her...her name is "Helen." ☺
She spends a lot of time in Morgan County with the grandson...
Hope the Eagle Visions are a good sign for the upcoming days, Megan
A sister of mine said I can ask my Guardian Angel to go help out others from time to time... ☺
sometimes James (the grandson) and I trade Guardian Angels, his is named "Jimmy. " ☺
Okay experts...this is Liberty in the nest maybe? I am so out of practice in picking which one is which
Guardian angels are hard at work 24/7
We should be looking for Fawns soon, I think most baby deer are born in May....☺
I had named my sister's "Elisabeth" before my sister died, now I think Elisabeth is down here with "Jimmy."
(Elisabeth with an "s" because that is the name of another sister...I have a few...)
And a whole bunch of Eaglet Sisters ! ☺ ♥
I just hear wing flapping...guardian angels maybe ?
Agree with you Mits...
when I am sleeping, "Helen" takes a hike !
Up and Away - maybe time for a trip to the Potomac with the Eaglet..
TTFN - guardian angel says I have some work to do here..
xo
Margy, saw that you are now on facebook.
Well I just made a mess....needed to touch up small areas on sunroom doors...the paint is in a spray can, and couldn't spray it where needed, so sprayeed some into a plastic dixie cup and was starting to do the job when I saw paint on the carpet....it ate the bottom right out of the cup! D..N!!!! Luckily, alcohol got it out of the carpet...geesh, can I ever mess things up good!
What a beautiful clear pic even if the nest is MT!
Wish I had seen the WW bluebirds fly out!
lots of egg turning at BWO today
Oh, Lynn! That sounds like something I would do! Glad you got it out of the carpet.
Washed my hair...need to go "fix" it and get beautiful.
BBL
Lolly ??
I don't know anything about Facebook or Myspace...I mean I know about them but don't have either one and don't know how to do it anyway ...
???
I tried to accept an invitation a few months ago about that...and couldn't navigate through the steps....
Nice Save, Lynn....good old country girl techniques...
If you look at BWE, you can see some shadows from above right now.
Do you think those are the shadows of the BW eagle family??
C(°Ù¿°)D

I'll catch up on comments later ...need to go out. bbl
