Morning, Mits, thanks for the heads up. Morning, Steve, thanks for the new thread! Thanks for posting Paula's pic yesterday, awesome shot! Morning, Norma! Brought this over from other thread.
So far, no visitors to our nest. Africam is also down, have a nice still pic on they change every once in a while, but not quite the same thing. Gao Gao is still on SD, finally got a pic, not just black screen. NZ pandas are up and eating bamboo. Maine MT, nest still has lots of snow. Peggy's Cove is covered in snow, and looks like the fog is rolling in! Cool pic, though. PA has a deer up close to cam, looks like they have shortened the view to directly in front of it...like about 18" in front and that's about it. When the cam is working. Maybe one of those squirrels tipped the cam down while climbing on the tree. Can't get Tesoro, either not up or turned on. Totally black pic. So since our kids are sleeping in, and not much else going on, I'm going to other comptuer. All have a great eagle/panda day. May be back later before leaving, or just to watch. Deer closeups are cool, though!

So CU all a little later. Deer are still there, and they are beautiful to see so close.

GOOD MORNING MITS & NORMA... It looks like they may be working on the PA cam. It showed a different view for a few moments and then went back to where it was. I think that might have been Rudolph on that close-up. Didn't see his nose, so I'm not sure.

DAVE---Have you checked the ME SITE this a.m.?----Wind & other noise (which sounds some where between a lion's roar & dogs fighting)----VERY LOUD WIND SOUND?!!
WOW it is a bit windy in ME at the nest,i just checked.I will be away from my computer from Dec.22 to Jan.2 for the holidays.I am going to be in the woods to photograph winter wildlife.I will post photos.
For those of you that I sent an email to and you couldn't see the photo....I posted it last evening on my profile (Wanda's Wishes), if you would like to see it. SORRY FOR THE AGRAVATION.
Morning, Jo. Bye Jo, talk to you later. Dave, hope you stay warm and have an absolute blast! Hope you see lots of wildlife to photograph. Can't wait to see your new pics! And Merry Christmas and a wonderful Happy New Year to you! Mits, glad to hear Tian Tian is recovering. I'm with you, keep them separate now. Hopefully, now that they see how rough Mei is, they may keep them separate. They have space for all 3 don't they?
Eagle, BWO. Squirrels and doves in PA, and moose cam is on and they're getting a blanket of snow on them. They're turning white. BBL....
Good morning all. I am getting in here late for me. Wishing all of you a great day though. Keep your eyes peeled, there was an ealry bird special this am at Baby"s R Us so I expect to see our Royal Family back at the nest soon to discuss their great bargains.
Wow Dave Out taking pictures of Winter Wildlife ...Sounds wonderful...Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you. I plan to do as much of that as possible over the next few weeks myself, but for me its an hour or so at a time, but its usually an awesome experience.
On my way to the Vets yesterday I saw 2 Bald Eagles flying over the street on which I was driving. I am sure they were headed for the River. I took Suzannes advice Eyes to the skies, see the raptors fly Too bad about that guy honking behind me. He needs to learn to stop and smell the roses.
Wishing you all happy eagle viewing. I have a staff party today so must get busy.
Wanda, that's a beautiful picture. Got the text, no pic. Just awesome. Gene's view from his room in the cabin isn't bad either! Looks like a very nice place!
LOL, morning, Glo. You would be surprised at the variety of birds and raptors you see with your eyes to the sky. Amazing! Glad you got to see some eagles!! Ok, really am outta here for a few.
YES, SUZANNE, they have space for all 3 plus another panda. They had mentioned it could have happened with a stick of bamboo, but I've seen him eat and I have seen her attack him. Pandas are solitary animals, and he already in going into his pre-play for the big event in the spring, and she is far from ready, so he wants to get cozy, but she doesn't...there is that a family friendly explanation of what is going on......
Uploading something, taking a while. Check out the moose cam! Those guys are gonna be completely covered shortly! Moose laying down is not far from being just another bump in the snow.
Thanks, Mits, I thought they might have room. I understand what you're saying, and I'm not sure Mei will ever be interested.
One moose left, the soon-to-be-bump in the snow got up and is now eating. Only his antlers would have been showing, cool. Guess it makes a good blanket for them.
The moose got up, walked over to another bowl, ate a bite, and laid down again. Never shook his snow off, he's still covered, just not quite as white as he was.
Well the little toot left! Just MT snow covered bowls. GaoGao is on SD, what are they doing, hiding our Precious? Haven't seen her or mom all day! (Well, when I've been looking, that is.) Foggy in Kent again, but still see that round hole. Back to it for a while.
Mits, did you find the moose? The 3 that came back haven't moved, and they're getting covered again. Sure glad I don't live in Utah anymore! Did for a while, in Liberty, WAAAAYYYY up in the mountains! Beautiful state, but way too much snow for me. Course I was a hundred years younger then, and it was actually kinda fun!
Still no Cape Coral....Paula, remember you told us they where fixing the other cam....maybe this is what is going on????.....if I don't come back have a good rest of your day, Suzanne.
EagleCam EagleCam I is trained on George II and Gracie. Gracie is “Grand Matron” of Cape Coral’s nesting eagles. She has been fledging young eagles successfully for many years at her long-time location. While the loss of her long-time mate, George, in 2006 was heartbreaking, Gracie found a new mate. She and George II successfully fledged eagles this past season.
EagleCam II is at an alternate site, and these two mates also have been successful for a few years.
I got a short look at the Muley buck, and it is getting into the prime awesome range...then something spooked it and it bolted.
The moose just letting the snow drift up on them must mean their winter coats are working well. Also the snow works as good camouflage, breaking up their outline and helping their heads and antlers look like a brush pile or something.
You know what? I think Cam #2 at Kent is "blowin in the wind."
When I looked at it a few minutes ago, George's hole was very visible and considerably distant from the bottom edge of the frame, but now it's back to the old view, which shows very little of the nest or George's hole.
I think it's loose in its mount and the wind is blowing it around.
PA cam shows a really big Raccoon. Wonder what kind of food he is finding. ZZ Bear has been asleep for a couple of hours now. When she wakes up, she'll want to play and Mom will probably want to sleep.
I don't see an Exam Report or video for ZZ yet this week. But if you go to the "News" page and click on the "blog" link, you will find a couple of paragraphs on ZZ and Bai Yun, which were written yesterday, I believe.
Paula, I think the falcon released in Brisbane probably is from Frodo and Frieda, but they didn't say "how old" he is... just "young". Could be we got the sex wrong this year, or he could be from last year's bunch.
Good morning, world. We made it to Friday! Not too bad here, 34° in PA, and 37° here. Not bad for this time of year! Saw the article about the Frieda and Frodo falcon juvie. I'm with Jim, wonder if it was one from last year. Guess we'll never know, but glad he's healed and has been released. Turning cams on, Bai was just flipping our squiggly Precious, then put her down and she started to walk off. ZZ Bear walked out of the den and mom followed her. So now birthing den is MT, and of course no cam operator at this hour (1:25 there), so until they come back, they're gonna be out of sight. Nice to see them though. Well, opened some more cams before posting, and Precious came back all by herself. She either brought a stick of bamboo with her or found it in the den, but she sure is having a ball with it! She's playing with it, sits up, rolls over and finds her feet, but then gets tangled in the bamboo, so back up and play with it some more. Or, we could lay on our tummy on top of it and then sit up again. And then sit up and do it all over again, she's adorable! Better get started. All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly! Now Squigs has something in her mouth, she's pulling on it and the bamboo is laying next to her forgotten! Another piece of bamboo I'm guessing she's playing with and pulling with her hind feet and front paws and mouth.
Just like a kid, gets bored easily. She found the bamboo again, but has worked herself over to the other side of the den, so this is the other end of the stick. Obviously, that's now something new. But now has something else, bamboo stick just sitting there gain. She's a hoot this morning! Sure has a lot of energy at 1:39 in the morning!
Mom has returned, and ZZ Bear lost interest in the bamboo instantly! Much more fun to climb on mom and pull her hind leg. This is a riot this morning!! Oh, mom just took her paw and knocked Squigs on her back, but she's up again. Now mom pulled her into her tummy, think she wants Squiggles to nurse. They're so cute. Nope, there goes the little wiggly! Sitting up, oh, nope, out the door. no, mom pulled her bacck in her mouth, grabbed her hind feet, uh oh, she got away. Mom has her again in her paws this time. This is funny. She's gonna be a handful when she gets too big for mom to grab with her mouth or front paws!
Bai just came back in the den and walked around in a circle and went back out. Think she can't find ZZBear! ZZBear wants to play and she's hiding! too funny.
This is too funny this morning. Bai can't find our Precious, so she's just gonna bring in some bamboo....about a half ton so far on first trip. If Squigs does come back, Bai will never see her under the bamboo. She's gone out to get another load....
Alright, have to say auf wiedersehen for a while. I've got to cut a couple CDs, and that totally eats up computer resources! BB in a couple hours. You guys watch for our kids, have to close cams also. In a minute! 4 deer in PA!!! Cool. Darn cams doing it's funny back and forth on time and pic again. Ok, deer have strolled off cam. BBL
GOOD MORNING SUZ.. Wish I could have seen the BAI & SQUIGGLES SHOW. They provide the best entertainmnt around. You described it so well, that I can see it in my mind.
Waiting for Belle & Lib is like waiting on a Slot Machine to pay off. You put a quarter in and you may get lucky that first time or you may wait and never get anything
Morning, Wanda. Bai and Squiggles were hilarious this morning! I've never seen them that active that early. Bai left and hasn't come back yet, so I'm guessing she found our Precious Zhen Zhen and they finally all went to sleep. Just think, only after 1 load of bamboo, too. Haven't seen the kids, but haven't had the cams up. Still cutting CDs, and that takes a lot of resources on this computer. But I've still got some of them open, so maybe that last upgrade did the trick! Hope they show soon.
GOOD FRIDAY MORNING SUZANNE AND ALL OTHER WATHCERS SOON TO BE ON HERE. I had to bring in supplies for our Christmas snack early, so thought I'd try to get on a minute.
SUZANNE Nice run down on the adventures of ZZSquiggles and Bai. Thanks for sharing.
To the rest of you sleeppyheads, lets get up and attem. SUZANNE will be off for a couple of hours, so we need someone to watch for our eagles.
My son comes in sometime this afternoon from Winchester, so hopefully I'll get right out of school at 3pm. It is predicting a little sprinkle of rain here today: kind of wish it were snow this close to Christmas.
My husband baked my cookies for me which was a big help. I cleanded house after work on Wednesday and did Rice Krispie treets and Doo Dads and finished my washes last night. So everything is now in readiness at our house for Josh to come home and the Christmas spirit to fill the house.
TGIF to all your working people like me. We made it through another week! Hope you all have a nice day and SUZANNE you drive carefully home to your kitties and Gypsy. Hope you got them some gifts for Christmas too. Santa does come to pets! :)
Have to check out and get the room ready for the excited children soon to be coming through the door for their last day of schoo. before Winter Break or Christmas break as we like to say. Hope to lurk later to see all that is going on. Until then. WANDA GET UP AND WATCH FOR THOSE BEAUTIFUL BIRDS. :)
We should start calling Candy POPPER! Wax on, wax off, pop in, pop out. She's very fast. Next week I'm gonna sit and watch for her to come in! Then maybe I can catch her for maybe a second or even 2!!!
Sounds like she is excited to have her son visit. It has been many years since I have had my kids home for Christmas. Once they married and moved to Virginia, we started having Christmas at my Mom's. Her house is a lot closer to Winchester and she loves haveing the family there. We celebrate all the holidays there. It is easier on all of us. I cook here at my house and then take the food to Mom's, leaving all the mess here. She still manages to make the dessert.
I have an early doctor appt. this morning, so I need to get off of here and get ready. I have been Fasting....no food, NO COFFEE. SUZ, have a wonderful 4 days off and a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU! BBL (Hope you enjoy your RoboPanda)LOL
Sounds like a nice family gathering, and easy on your mom. Did you hear from the doc yet on her treatment? I just went down the street, we have a Perfect Pita that just opened, and this was my first visit. Got a chicken gyro and man is it good! Also got some Tzatziki, and it's delicious! Heck of a breakfast, but this is lunch for me. They make everything there, home made. Man, this is good! See Squigs and Bai are still AWOL, and guess our kids haven't shown up yet. Darn, lazy butts, sleeping in for 2 days!

I already tried that once this morning Helen, but it didn't work. Seems we can't fool them today.

UPDATE ON TIAN-TIAN
December 19: Tian Tian Recovers
Tian Tian has fully recovered from his surgery and all the special attention he received on Sunday, and is back to some serious eating. It almost makes you hungry to watch him eat on these cold mornings. Tian’s jaws are in constant motion, as he power chews through his bamboo.
We continue to monitor his eye closely. It looks like he has the faintest pink eyeliner along the bottom inner edge of his right eye. He will continue on antibiotic eye drops, which are applied twice daily. Tian is such a voracious eater that he hardly notices the squirt as he chomps down on a biscuit. Lately, the biscuits seem to go down in two bites and he is ready for the next one! It is just enough time to place the drops in a blink of a panda's eye.
JET BLACK bird at BWO----BWE cam is down---

GaoGao is on SD, what are they doing, hiding our Precious? Haven't seen her or mom all day! (Well, when I've been looking, that is.)
Foggy in Kent again, but still see that round hole.
Back to it for a while.
3 moose back laying in the snow, but he's not zoomed in.
Maybe ZZ is getting her exam today. They have to take care of our little preciouus.
Oh, Wanda, I'll bet you're right. It is Thursday! She's such a cutie, I really do miss watching her!
GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE....
i see a lot of wet looking cam sites, but no birds at the moment.
Pete's is about to go to the dark times, and it's raining lightly there...instead of 88 degs., it's 58 tonight.
Have a great day. Suzanne drive safely, enjoy the day.
Merry Christmas,
Jim
Ewwiees in BWO nest and on cam.
I was wondering about the pic yesterday on our WV nest...

Hi Jim! Glad to see you've got your sleeping worked out, but sure do miss talking to you in the early early AM!
SHE/HE WAS LANDING JIM, and the cam was stuck on that pic for a little while

Looks like on an Egg at CC1 - eagle up now!
I saw that too, thought it was egg turning.
You know what? I think Cam #2 at Kent is "blowin in the wind."

Funny - I didn't know Suz posted that remark about CC
Jim - she was just landing on the nest yesterday....then the cam got stuck on that pic, when it cam back on, they weren't eating.
She didn't post it, I did, then I went ahead and wished her a good rest of her day
wish the moose would get up and shake the snow from there antlers, must be heavy
Got it Thanks Cool
Dave
Yuppers, got it Mits! Thanks for setting me straight!
Wonder if cam 2 is gonna be back, or maybe they are upgrading like they did for cam 1...
I hope it comes back, but the view in "our" nest is sooooo much better.
looks like BWE is back on, there is another good viewing nest.
eagle feeding on BWO nest.

Mom gave up, Squiggles walked outta the den and Bai followed. MT den again. What a hoot!!!
Big ol' fat racoon in PA.
Sorry WANDA. I see now that you are awake. Good morning to you. Have to go for now. Have a nice day.
GOOD MORNING CANDY...
There you go again, Pop in, Pop out.
I know you will be on here when school is out. We will chat then.
Oh my, good morning, Candy! I missed you again! Darn!!! I didn't know you were on earlier, only saw Wanda's comments, didn't look back.
Happy Friday! Slow down a little, I can't run as fast as you!!!
Have a great weekend, and if I don't talk to you, have a very
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
BBL
(Hope you enjoy your RoboPanda)LOL
Sounds like a nice family gathering, and easy on your mom. Did you hear from the doc yet on her treatment?
I just went down the street, we have a Perfect Pita that just opened, and this was my first visit. Got a chicken gyro and man is it good! Also got some Tzatziki, and it's delicious! Heck of a breakfast, but this is lunch for me. They make everything there, home made. Man, this is good!
See Squigs and Bai are still AWOL, and guess our kids haven't shown up yet. Darn, lazy butts, sleeping in for 2 days!
Oh, Wanda, I'll miss you. I'll let you know about RoboPanda!
You have a wonderful MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! And tell Capt Eagle I said MERRY CHRISTMAS to him too!
Wow, look at all the squirrels in PA.
