Yes its the time change. Spring forward fall behind. Its in the 70's during the day and cool at night. Thel eaves are changing. Its pretty. My favorite time of year.
I am not trying to go anywhere for a while. I have run out of time on the books until after Christmas. I am going to Pismo Beach and Santa Barbara for New Years.
That sounds like fun. Have to email some pictures. Use separate email address's instead of Momster cause I don't think - remember I said I don't think the pictures will come through with that address.
Hi Wanda, I'm supose to be working so I had better get to it. Hugs. Oh I want to tell you something. Diana said that when she gets ready to marry she want to find a man that loves her as much as Gene love you. Just thought you would like to know.
I wished this blog had some kind of sound you could hit/make when our eagles arrived. I could set the sound up high. While I was in kitchen. Get back here in time to see them.
Yes, Dana, that is Impressive. My Wish is that everyone could have a husband as special as The Capt. I think your hubby must be pretty special too. You two seem to get along so well.
Dana, I put the pics from this morning in the album. Lib moved that big stick a little and then just sat there for 25 minutes. NOt a lot of action, but he sure looked pretty. Cam was nice and clear.
Dana, to answer you question about feeling like a school girl; I do feel that way, quite often and I think "How lucky I am to feel this way after 48 years".
Anne...Tesoro is in Fla.(I think). I don't have that bookmarked, Mits or Jo can tell you where it is. SORRY. Hubby says Diana is a really sweet girl and to hold out until she gets the best life has to offer.
I was facinnated with the land. I'm used to mountains around me. I have never seen land so flat. If there is one square inch of ground a palm grows. They were thick. The sunsets over the water were beautiful.
ANNE-MARIE, We have a daughter who had a boyfriend who lived in Florida and came up here to visit her. He said he couldn't stand the mountains because he was use to flat country and couldn't see very far. Went back home and never did come back.
Anne said she got kicked off the blog........going to get ready to watch my favorite Tuesday night shows, guess it won't be long til the writers strike interferes with all the shows
GOOD EVENNG ALL YOU LOVELY LADIES GENTLEMEN! I have jsut caught up on my email and the blogs and have kept watching for those birds of ours. Not even one at BW tonight. We did see JIMS elephants at Pete's Pond today in the classroom.
Talking about mountains, I grew up inbetween the Poconos and the Catskills. Brought my son Josh down here at 6 to be a beach kid. Surprised us by moving to Winchester, Va. to be back in the mountains.....he missed them and the seasons. :0 Go Figure.
I myself miss the mountains with all their vallies, creeks and beauty, but don't miss the SNOW! Not for one second. As far as being by the beach goes, the traffic is so bad in the summer, I don't even like to go to the beach. In the winter I am working and don't have time to go to the beach. Can't please me no how.
What ever happened to our birds. It sounds like you all were watching all the action at the DC Zoo most of the day. And snow in Oregon; that nest was full, poor eagles.
ROBYN Was very saddened by the news of the passing of your very close "family" member, Sammie. Your pets do become a part of your family, no matter what one says and their loss is a great sadness. May God help you and Tori to get past this loss, but may he let the good, fun memories of your times with Sammie remain in your hearts forever.
Has anyone heard how Bob Quinn made out on his picture adventure looking for the Golden Eagle? I haven't seen him back on the blog today, and was wondering if anyone had heard anything.
OK you people. I guess I am talking to the wall, soooooo I guess I'll go and see what is up on the tv. No birds to watch and no one to talk to. :( Later.
Robyn...I'm sorry to read about your dog, Sammy, passing. I'm sure she was a great companion dog .. I've had Collie and Collie mixes before, and they are really great dogs and great with families. I hope you will recover soon and perhaps get another dog.
Paula, It just ate my comment and told me to make a report using a certain code...
But I remembered what someone said about recovering it, so I backed to the blog and then began to refresh until the comment reappeared ... in the "preview" box as I had requested.
No, Jim, pretty quiet there. Saw both parents at Two Harbors, last week. First time they had been there in 5 or 6 weeks! We are really lucky to be seeing Lib and Belle as frequently as we have!
Yes, I also clicked on the "Back" arrow and refreshed until I got back to the blog.
But instead of rewriting a comment as I usually do, I started clicking on the "Forward" arrow and refreshing (maybe two steps forward) and voilà , I rediscovered my comment.
Good morning, world. Kinda nice to be back, but kinda not too. Had a gazillion stars at my place, but they soon disappeared into heavy fog! Drove through pea soup until Leesburg, and then it's clear as a bell again. 41° in PA, 52° here in VA, so that's not too bad. Will have to go read what I missed over the last 4 days, I'm guessing a lot! Hope our kids have been around. All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors flly!
Good morning, Jim! Haven't had problems with the great cybercam, but it must be related to my MS Office email! Typed an email this morning, and it went to the great bit bucket in the sky! Never to be seen again. Don'tcha love technology? When it works!! Hope you had a great weekend, and have a good day today.
Not suppose to rain here today. Tomorrow yes rain and cold.
Had a great cam watching day yesterday. Did miss our eagles for their short visit. Though their was a beautiful eagle eating at Maine. I couldn't even comment just sit there watching and listening.
Mits gave heads up about eagle at Tesoro. When I got there both were there.
Pandas did put on a good show also yesterday.
Well we will see what today has to offer. Won't be on all day today like I was yesterday though.
Good morning, Wanda and Dana. Cold is alllll gone...pretty much. Dental appointments went as well as dental appointments can. But should be done for about a year now! There's a silver lining in every cloud! Hope everyone had a good weekend. I did, missed the kids, but had an awesome visitor right outside my back door! The Red-Tailed Hawk CAN fly between my house and the bird feeders! Who knew? 0708 Sunday the birds were all going nutso, so had to see what was going on, had never heard them act like that. So I went to my back door, and lo and behold, there is the hawk sitting on my outside rocking chair!!! Watching the birds trying to eat, which by now are all in bushes. He sat there long enough for me to change the batteries in my camers (grrrr), and take 4 shots of him! Then off he flew, between the house and feeders, over the feeders. Birds were safe, and he left empty clawed, but it was so awesome to see him. Haven't seen him in several months, though my neighbor has. How cool was that!!! Kitty Tat was also hiding under the stairs, he came out when the hawk left, too.
You can really see the white on Lib's back on some of these pics. What's that about? He's got a dirty head, and lots of white spots on his back! Never saw them before.
Got Gene off on his trip. He's so excited. It is a group of really nice guys and they have a lot of fun. They have a couple of nice cabins to stay in with all the conveniences, they play games, have sporting competitions, they cook outdoors. Iam so glad he has this to look forward to every year.
Wanda, sounds like Gene is going to have a good time! Glad he has cabins, supposed to get very cold again Thursday. Don't know if this is Lib or not, he just looks different. But maybe Gene is right, he's molting.
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!----It's going to be a beautiful day today---SUN shining & (don't tell the CAPT.--I have deer in my lawn)---temp. 42°--will go higher!!---WE HAVE BEEN WATCHING THE ROYAL COUPLE THIS a.m.----LIFE IS GOOD!!!!----WELCOME BACK SUZANNE!-----When I have been watching---I keep humming 'HIGH HOPES'---BELLE & LIBERTY certainly seems to have high hopes!!---or else they are going to build a "LOG NEST"---ho!
Squiggles woke up, turned over on her back, saw mom, now back on her side. No, on her tummy. They look like they're sleeping on a big king sized round bed, don't they?
LOL, Norma, they sure have those big sticks all over the place, don't they? They keep bringing them in, but not arranging them yet. They do for a while, then change their minds, I guess.
SQUIGGLES was usually sleeping when I looked in----A lot of time she was all alone on the "BIG WHITE"----That must be a pillow!!!-----Yesterday we watched the CLOUDED LEOPARD eat a bone for well over a half hour---That is a handsome animal---so sleek!!---The 'LITTLE PRINCE' kept looking through the opening on her side of the fence & could see his MAMA---he kept whining---made me hurt too!!----ALSO the SLOTH BEARS were out!!!----Then the ROYAL FAMILY arrived & spent time moving & removing sticks----It was great watching!!!----
WOW!!---SUZANNE---That made my day!!---ho!---I'm most sure I saw 3?---The other day I saw 1---Bit early this a.m.---Must get dressed--Will keep checking in---STUDY GROUP today!!----

Norma, glad you got to see the divers. Yeah, I saw 3 too! Have a good study group, and a great day. Blog at you tomorrow!
Hi Robyn, was so sorry to hear about your dog. Always so hard to lose a 4-legged part of your family! He'll be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge, I'm sure! HUGS, ROBYN.
Oh, Wanda, I hope Karla feels better soon! Took me a while, but hopefully she'll recover quicker than I did. She's a lot younger! Seems those Airborne helped here in the office, and the Target take-off on Tylenol day and night sure helped too. And soup. And lots and lots of sleep!
Suz, Karla said eating soup every day does help to keep you from getting a cold---just don't talk about it. She got her cold the day after she told you about the chef at her workplace giving her soup every day! SSSHHH.
OK, stopping for a moment to respond to the visitor in the nest this a.m., watching Lib yesterday his head could not get any whiter, can't wait to see pics...ok back to reading...later.
Good Morning - seems like Monday since Suzanne has returned! Welcome back & hope the fog wasn't too thick driving in. Blogger Cop ate my last comment - I will try again
Well I said good morning before I left for coffee, but blogger ate my post. so once again Good Mornign all. Nice to see you back Suzanne Thanks Wanda for letting me know yesterday that she wasn't AWOL. Hope your day is good and everyone figures out the puzzle about that possibly dirty or molting head that was on the nest this morning. Looks like a nice cler close up cam may present us with some questions we didn't have before. MTBR
Ok, don't know what eagle looked today, but if someone gets a chance, maybe you can look at yesterdays pic of him so you can compare....hoping this posts, having e-mail issues and my clock is not working on computer, its going to be a long day.. also my ability to copy and paste have disappeared...don't know what is wrong but maybe it is time to get rid of comcast and head to verizon

Yes, Dana, that is Impressive. My Wish is that everyone could have a husband as special as The Capt. I think your hubby must be pretty special too. You two seem to get along so well.
Thank you Wanda. I always say, "they broke the mold when they made him". One of a kind. I dearly love him.
Wanda sometimes don't you feel just like a young school girl; dating him? I do hee hee
Anyone have an eagle caller? You know they have turkey callers. Well while Anne is here we need an "eagle caller".
Hey you guys. I keep checking back. Nothing. Its getting dark there. No fair.
Both of you ladies are very fortunate. Hold on to it tight.
Anne, sun set there at 4:58, so actually is a whole lot darker than it looks on the cam

Loved Fort Lucie when I was there, talk about a garden city.
and they love their eagles down in Florida, like the fact that their season starts several months before ours does

Paula,
It just ate my comment and told me to make a report using a certain code...
But I remembered what someone said about recovering it, so I backed to the blog and then began to refresh until the comment reappeared ... in the "preview" box as I had requested.
Jim
LOL, Jim, that was me. I tried that and it acted really weird, the screen kept refreshing all by itself!
Should have said, I then began to click on the "forward" arrow and refresh it until I was able to recover my comment... First time!!
Jim
Paula,
There sure hasn't been a lot of action on the IWS site lately, has there?
I like to read Harpo's entry on eagle populations etc., but there hasn't been much after that lately.
Jim
I got sidelined this evening...I hope the blogger cop lets me say
Good Night Everyone
Peace to You & Yours
Prayers being said for everyone's needs
Have a great trip Capt Eagle!
Morning all you Early Birds - Welcome back Suzanne
No, Jim, pretty quiet there. Saw both parents at Two Harbors, last week. First time they had been there in 5 or 6 weeks! We are really lucky to be seeing Lib and Belle as frequently as we have!
Jim, I usually click on the back arrow.
ok blog must be on some kind of meds...GOODNIGHT!
Yes, I also clicked on the "Back" arrow and refreshed until I got back to the blog.
But instead of rewriting a comment as I usually do, I started clicking on the "Forward" arrow and refreshing (maybe two steps forward) and voilà , I rediscovered my comment.
Jim
Good night all!
Morning, Suz. Good to have you back!

All have a great eagle/panda day.
Eyes to the sky, see the raptors flly!
GOOD MORNING, SUZANNE AND THE EARLY BIRDERS....
The great cybercan has been grabbing comments again.
JIM
Good morning, Jim! Haven't had problems with the great cybercam, but it must be related to my MS Office email! Typed an email this morning, and it went to the great bit bucket in the sky! Never to be seen again. Don'tcha love technology? When it works!!
Hope you had a great weekend, and have a good day today.
GOOD MORNING SUZ--
Blogger cop ate my comment. I'm testing now.
OK, I'll try again.
Suz, hope your cold is better and your dental appts. went well.
Don't see our eagles or my KARLA.
Going to get some coffee. BBL
Good Morning Jim, Suzanne, Wanda, and Watchers.
Oh, EAGLE IN THE NEST!!!
Eagle in OUR NEST
Well, standing around checking out the branches, I guess.
Wanda, R U back? Where's Karla? Dana, know you're here!
Eagle in BW also!!! Looks like nestorations going on.
EAGLE ALERT!!!
Somebody looks like they need a shampoo! Dirty head, but moving those sticks!
Morning, Norma! We're watching the nestorations!
Wow, big stick!
Morning Norma get pics of Liberty doing his nest work.
Suzanne I sent you an email
OK, using foot and mouth for this stick!
Hello again..I got on here just in time!
You can really see the white on Lib's back on some of these pics. What's that about? He's got a dirty head, and lots of white spots on his back! Never saw them before.
Welcome back Wanda great eagle watching.
Hope Karla is feeling better. Didn't know she was sick yesterday.
Look at the white on Liberty's back.
Hey, Wanda! We're watching some of Lib's nestorations, he's sure trying to move some of those big sticks!
Dana, I thought the white on his back was something we hadn't seen before. His head looks dirty too.
Uh oh, Lib inspecting his perch now. Prior to takeoff??????
Dumb question...could this be one of their offspring?
Yeah, Dana and Wanda, I mentioned the dirty head and white on the back up a few blogs...what's that about? Never saw him look like this before.
Wanda certainly not from last season. Too much white. Flakes of something on Liberty.
Don't know, Wanda. Not for the last couple years, anyway. Takes 4-5 years for the white head and tail.
Steve, are you there? R U watching the nest????
Is this Liberty, or an interloper????
The Capt. suggists that it may be that he is moulting?
He is getting ready to leave for the mountains and his hunting trip. Have to see him off. BBILW
Belle is above him saying, "I'm NOT coming into the nest with you looking like that!"
That must be Lib, that's his takeoff perch and spot.
Good luck hunting Gene stay safe.
OH, that could be, Wanda! Tell the Capt thanks for the info, and have fun hunting!! Enjoy the trip.
Uh oh, cam is not updating. Date/time are, pic is not.
Dana, Norma, you've got the com!
BBIALW...
Mine is updating ok. Liberty is just at the 11 o'clock position. Just perching there.
Got Gene off on his trip. He's so excited. It is a group of really nice guys and they have a lot of fun. They have a couple of nice cabins to stay in with all the conveniences, they play games, have sporting competitions, they cook outdoors. Iam so glad he has this to look forward to every year.
Don't know if it is my imagination or not, but this eagle doesn't ACT like Liberty.
Back, and I see we still have an eagle! How cool.
Wanda, sounds like Gene is going to have a good time! Glad he has cabins, supposed to get very cold again Thursday.
Don't know if this is Lib or not, he just looks different. But maybe Gene is right, he's molting.
2 eagles in BW now.
Bw eagles are squawking at each other!
Squiggles woke up, turned over on her back, saw mom, now back on her side. No, on her tummy. They look like they're sleeping on a big king sized round bed, don't they?
Well, darn, eagle gone.
GOOD MORNING NORMA--
Very interesting eagle in our nest. Is he or isn't he Liberty?
LOL, Norma, they sure have those big sticks all over the place, don't they? They keep bringing them in, but not arranging them yet. They do for a while, then change their minds, I guess.
OH, Zebra's on Africam!
SUZANNE---I SEE WHAT YOU MEAN!!---He looks like he has been in a coal mine!!---Wonder where the black speckles come from----
don't know, Norma, but he sure looks like he needs a shampoo!!!
NORMA, we watched 2 deer running around in our backyard this morning. They were just beautiful.
SQUIGGLES was usually sleeping when I looked in----A lot of time she was all alone on the "BIG WHITE"----That must be a pillow!!!-----Yesterday we watched the CLOUDED LEOPARD eat a bone for well over a half hour---That is a handsome animal---so sleek!!---The 'LITTLE PRINCE' kept looking through the opening on her side of the fence & could see his MAMA---he kept whining---made me hurt too!!----ALSO the SLOTH BEARS were out!!!----Then the ROYAL FAMILY arrived & spent time moving & removing sticks----It was great watching!!!----
SUZANNE---Wonder if LISA is at BW?----She might have some thoughts on the EAGLE'S speckled head----
NORMA, LOOK QUICK, DIVERS!!!!
HI WANDA!---You don't want him to get arrested for shooting a deer out of season---do you??---ho!--
norma, coming this way!!!!!!!!!!
Here they come, Norma!
Norma, Gene wouldn't shoot a deer out of season. They are just so pretty to watch.
All gone. Did you waive?
OH, 2 owls in hotel, one grooming the other one. Hummmm, maybe we'll have baby barn owls one of these days!
WOW!!---SUZANNE---That made my day!!---ho!---I'm most sure I saw 3?---The other day I saw 1---Bit early this a.m.---Must get dressed--Will keep checking in---STUDY GROUP today!!----

Hi Robyn, was so sorry to hear about your dog. Always so hard to lose a 4-legged part of your family! He'll be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge, I'm sure! HUGS, ROBYN.
Herd of wildbeestes on Africam. Both owls have left the hotel.
SSSHHH.
GOOD WEDNESDAY MORNING Don't know if this will even post...Have a good one, off to catch up on blog READING!

Good Morning Jo and Glo.

I also sent pictues to Steven for him and John to look at and give their opinions. So we just wait and see what developes.
