Yes I am Carolina Beach Mom or Calico person. He was my loving guinea pig that I brought home from two babies that were brought into school. He was my honey bun, but has since gone up to oet heaven in the big sky yonder. :)
PETE NYE -EAGLE EXPERT---is on CNN now----CELEBRATING taking the EAGLE off the endangered list!!!---has same concerns as you mentioned this a.m. SUZANNE!!!---He says EAGLES may be thriving but the habitat is being destroyed!!!---They will probably show this clip all day!!

I sure hope #63 gets fed today, or takes off on his maiden voyage! Poor thing, has got to be starving by now.
I bought my new Duck Stamp. bought one last year through a link Lisa had, and it came very nicely! So just remembered this morning, she had a link again, but they didn't go on sale until the 22nd. Ok, so just now remembered it! So figured I better get it before I forget again! I'm hoping BW gets some of the funds if you purchase going through their link. Now I have to check up on the cams, see what's going on.

Hi Jim. Welcome aboard the morning express. Jim and Wanda. I wrote earlier that I have the Santa Cruz cam on. You have to fix it like we did yesterday; fix the brightness by going to view, to enhancements and video settings.
He is sitting up on his roost looking out and calling out. Hopefully today will be the day things start to happen. I had to turn it off early last night, as it got the best of me. I do hope he gets help, either bird or human soon. They know more that we do, I guess.
I just looked at the Discussion site, and they haven't seen anything of the parents either.
I'm worried that something has happened to the parents, and they are not there to feed Limuw if he does fledge.

One FALCON at PA SITE---Think it is the same on that was there last nite----OH those STORKS are AWESOME today!!---Hard to tell which is MAMMA!! ho!----I SWEAR I think the KENT KIDS are going to fledge before #63!---Aren't they LARGE EAGLETS!!---still love watching them!!
Candy - Eaglet 63, Limuw, had several healthy poop shoots yesterday, which means he has been eating! The cam was down for 2 hours, could have been then, or before the cam was on in the morning, or the nestovers...
Tried setting video at Cruz, but it only changes the brightness to the top half...other half turns to wild color bands! But I can see the pic fairly well as it is.
Guess I'll have to go to work wondering what the story is on that eaglet...

JUST CHECKED #63---DISCUSSION group has pics of him this early a.m.----Shows him---flapping wings,etc, & in a very "FRISKY" mood!!!--As I said earlier---they all seem to be watching him as much as we are!!! That makes me feel better!!!

LOL, Norma, now that she's used to it, I think she likes it. Believe it or not, her hair is growing very slowly! She's still just fuzz. Personally, I'm glad, less hair on my clothes! And she can sit on my lap in the morning before work without me wearing either an apron or towel! But not much has grown back at all. I was petting her yesterday, and wondering how long it took to grow back. Evidentally, quite a long time.

I have at least 2 Downy Woodpeckers drinking from my humming bird FEEDER!!!---I have never seen that!!!---Deer are every where---I asked DNR friend about deer in road---He says--- slow down if possible---FLASH LIGHTS---NEVER BLOW HORN!!---but if it is working---DO IT!!
LOL, Norma, she's so mellow, not sure she knows how to act up. Well, she sometimes spits at her kids, and occassionally at Sheba, but not very often at Sheba. My little miss DEMANDING cat is Tinkerbelle. She was the last to go to the vet last Sat for shots and annual checkup, and let me just say she was not a happy camper. But... I can almost bend my right pointing finger down and make a fist the way it's supposed to bend today. :-)

Oh, didn't know that Norma. I slow down and almost stop. Don't flash my lights, but do turn either the brights off, or the regular lights down to daytime running lights, so they can see again. Jim suggested, and I tried 2 little beep beeps. Not loud or long, just enought to let them know they didn't want to come over for a closer look. Hum, maybe I'll try flashing lights, see which works better. The one that ran in front of the car this morning was so quick, didn't have time to do anything but come to a complete stop! Then sat and watched him run in front of me and jump over the guardrail.

Norma, I'm glad you still have your Downy's! Haven't seen mine in a while. Was thinking they had a nest nearby, always saw mr and mrs, but haven't seen either in maybe 2 weeks or so. Hope they're still around somewhere!
LOL, yeah, you could say that! She's one of the kittens, and she would always do something first, then show the others how it was done. Got to the point where the other kittens would follow her around to see what she was going to get into! She's very demanding, and WILL have things done HER WAY!

NORMA-When did the get a police officer in Capon Bridge? We had a guy this morning whose criminal history showed an arrest by Capon Bridge Police dept.
The "LITTLE PRINCE" is now down in the water---cooling off----has a red ball there too!!---Doesn't seem to notice it now!!!---LOVE HIM----He certainly is a "DRAMA KING" ho! ho!---The whole nation watches him!!!!--MOST POPULAR ATTRACTION IN DC!!!!!
JILL---They have had one for a few years----THAT IS A SPEED TRAP!!!---Lots of people started taking the other Rt. to go to Winchester---after it was published in several papers!!----They arrest ANYONE who goes over 35 through the town---Our former SHERIFF was there---don't know who is now!!!

Dave said that at least one adult was in the area when he went to the tent site yesterday, so they have not abandoned A-63.
I'm melting, I'm melting...greetings from the desert, formerly known as my yard. Bittersweet day for the eagles, while there are many more, their habitat is shrinking, especially along water where developers love to build, and it may be easier for them to do so now..especially with this administration..sorry, getting off my soapbox, perhaps there is some shade to be found under it. This heat must be getting to me.

A63 ia still sitting on his perch and calling out. Paula just blogged on here that when the people were in the area, at the tent site, that they saw l eagle parent in the area, so he hasn't been abandoned. I would like to see some progress soon tho.

I think it was Paula that said earlier that the parent might come down to feed during the darkness of the morning, and also that he was having good poop shoots yesterday.

Norma, apparently there is one prostitute there too. I remember a police officer there but I always thought it was a sheriff's deputy, not a town cop. Sure there is a high crime rate in Capon Bridge. LOL

Good morning all, I am backed up with work but I do look in once in a while. I am watching Santa Cruz too. Its unusual for a babe that big not to be fed on a regular basis. The others I've watched through the past two years kept both mom and dad busy. I will be back later.

Did you actually see A-63 fly off from his perch or did he go down past the patio part of his nest, like he did the other day. I could still hear his flapping and waited and saw him come up to his patio and then climb up on his perch. I was away at the time, so I didn't see it.
