Thanks Steve And thank you so very much for all we see that you do, and much I am sure we are not even aware of!
Thank you for the new thread, Steven. And THANK YOU and NCTC for the CAM!! Missed it!Thanks for the heads up, Glo, both for the new thread and cam info. I just disconnected this morning when I first saw it. Gives me a headache.MT, but sure is good to see the nest!
Yes it is great to see. I have to go to work now though hmmmmm timing timing...LOL, Sent you an email Suzanne.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE AND THANK YOU, STEVEN AND NCTC The cams are also up and running in Maine and Florida, just saw both eagles there a little while ago. I know they have been trying to work on KENT, but sure it might take some time there.
Tai really loves his bamboo....such a big guy....
What a glorious Monday Morning it is! Thank you Steve - your the best! Lisa at BW said about the new grass being added to their nest - Well would you look at OUR nest!Took a minute to look at Buta Buta & WOW! has she ever grown. With the mat they put under the hay giving her more traction on those little back legs - she's going to be up & out exploring any day now.
Morning, Mits and MemaJo. Jo, did you see the dried flower in the BW eagle nest? It was across the nest, but I see it's been moved to the left side now. How very cool, she likes flowers!Mits, I glanced at the blogs this weekend. Sounds like you had a great day at the zoo Friday. (Think it was Friday.) You're going to meet folks from all over the world. How interesting.
Just came in from outside. It is BEAUTIFUL out there! More like spring, than winter. Going to go home and open my windows again when I get home!
I saw that the other day, Suzanne & really wondered what it was at first. Sure would be easier carrying in your beak then a beak full of grass. I would love to see them fly in with the grass for the nest.
I'm going over to see early morning comments & check out Fl & ME nests. BBL
I didn't see it until this morning. Looks like dried milkweed. Yes, that would be light. I would like to see them with a beak full of grass too, think that would be neat. Talk about a picture!
Good morning (checking yep still morning) my eagle friends.Jo & Glo you have mailRecoving from jingling Saturday's luncheon
update: The guys tell me that the battery we have on the cam is not holding a charge, and that has been a root of our problems. When it gets dark, the battery dies. So, I'm ordering another battery (it's a big one). Until we get it (hopefully we'll get it fast), I anticipate some additional problems.
Suzanne I brought Sandra with me to the luncheon & as I was driving I said to Sandra - Is that where I turn & she said I think so. The small sign was NOT there & the first words out of my mouth as I was turning into the Lowe Lane to the Clarion wereSuzanne is never going to find us I mentioned it to the wait staff as soon as I got there but when we left there still wasn't a sign in place. Dana & Ed remembered the Lowe Lane & found us.
Steve I know you'll get the biggest battery you can find!
ALL NCTC WANTS FOR CHRITSMAS IS A BIG FAT BATTERY!!!! Sing along:):):)!!
Good Morning Dana. Glad you have come back down to earth now after all your eagle highs on Saturday. lolWe really did have a great time!
Maine site is completely down now...
Great tune, Mits! Maybe our singing will get it here faster just so they can stop hearing us sing!!! lol
Good idea, Jo...:):):) That singing will drive them bonkers!!!
LOL, oh Jo, that's so funny. But pathetically, also very true. I would never have found the place! I can get lost going around a square block. And I have a navigation system on my car! Pretty pathetic, if you ask me. But I'm glad everyone had a good time, and I'm sorry I missed it.
Oh, sorry, Steve, thanks for the update!
EAGLE IN BW!!!
Dang, pic is not updating! At least it's stuck with an eagle in the nest.
The size of our eagles nest is so much larger. You can't really tell it from the cams. Liberty and Belle have worked their butts off getting ready for this season. They could right now Belle sitting high straight up looking down over the nest. Liberty out on a limb if you've been to the nest looking at it from the curve in the road. Liberty sits on a limb to the left.So looking at the cam say the branch out of nest at the 11 o'clock up is where Liberty sits. Then looking at the cam the branch at the 7 o'clock position way way high up is where Belle was sitting.
Time for me to hit the road. Came in early, so I could leave early. Have a dentist appt at 2, and want to get there on time. Something seriously wrong with me when I have to get up at quarter to 1 to get here early, to make a dental appt at 1400 at home! Geesh! Got to find a closer job!All have a great eagle day.Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Maine nest is back on line..
Suzanne Safe journey home & good luck in the dental chair!Did I hear your New Year's Resolution correctly? Got to find a closer job! Blog with you tomorrow !!!!
I would love to spend my day on the blog and watching the cams BUTI must get my home ready for the Christmas Eve family gathering! I'm not even sure what is going to be on the table for them as of yet! I'll be checking in & out & let you know I'm making some headway! (that is not what a lurker does!)BBL
Be safe Suzanne
Good afternoon, eagle friends! I only have access to a computer and the internet at work - so now is the soonest I could give my Saturday luncheon report. I had a great time with the other eaglet momsters! It was so nice to meet those of you I had not met at the NCTC open house. What a great group we are. And to think that we would never have known each other had it not been for our dear Liberty and Belle and NCTC! After lunch, I drove out to the nest and saw our eagles sitting in the tree. It was the first time I had ever seen them. My eyes filled with tears - they were so beautiful sitting there, watching the world around them! One was above the nest and one was to the left of the nest. I'm definitely going to have to get more powerful binoculars so I can see them better next time. I'm sorry I missed you at the nest, Dana and Nilla, but I had a long trip ahead of me (130 miles), so I couldn't linger too long. For those of you who asked about where I work here in Pendleton County - go to www.future.org - the website explains it so much better than I can. I work in the financial side of the place, so I don't get to travel like many of the staff here, which suits me just fine. Well, I need to get back to work. Remember - even tho I don't blog-on very often - I'm here lurking!
Oh, Jo I'm glad I'm not the only one, I'm having family here on Christmas Day and was going over all the recipe sites on my favorites list and there are many. Think I've narrowed it down to ham and beef tenderloin.
Carol, glad you had a good time.

Sorry Suzanne didn't make it. It was nice meeting you, Carol, checked out the website, now I see why you were having hard time explaining what the organization does, sounds like it is a great program that is doing good all over the world. So glad you got to see the eagles at the nest on Sat. It is always such a thrill to see them in person.
