Thanks for the new thread, Steven. And thanks for the heads up I think both Floralgirl and Mits.

A gazillion OK Thanks, Not a probelm at all. I can never have too many. I iwll go through them Don't think the film Loop is gonna load a gazillion but sounds wonderful!!! can hardly wait to see and share.

YES I saw several eagles...not sure exactly when I will get them processed. I only spent about 15 min viewing eagles and I know the snap snap snap feeling too. Not like last time but they were at the Marina which is all I really had time to drive and see. Got a couple nice clips and several what I hope are neat photos too!

Sharon's Card is in the mail. I sent it Priority, which is 2 to 3 days but lady at post Office did warn me, that this time of year there is no guarantee.

Speaking of Sharon her procedure is at noon.

Suzanne said...

Prayers for Sharon!

Yup, Glo, a gazillion. Lots. I know you can do something with them.

Glad you got to see some eagles on your trip this morning! Just makes your whole day, doesn't it?

Time for me to hit the road. All have a great afternoon/evening. I got a reply from Lisa, I'm getting her permission to share it. Very interesting, learn something every day.

Well, I'm sure she'll say I can share, so here goes. (I really do have to go.)

Lisa:
If our bird watcher was right, it's possible something happened to one of the previous adults. If one of them took up with another mate (because of death to a partner) then they might choose another nest area.

Also, keep in mind that a lot of eagle pairs have two nest sites -- their main nest and then an alternate nest. Sometimes they nest in the alternate to let the old nest "air out." If our old pair decided to use their alternate, I'm not sure if they would bother protecting both nests. If they didn't, then that might leave the unused nest available. But I don't know if eagle pairs defend both nests.

Our current couple has been working on the nest for a few weeks now with no signs of hostility, so they might be in the clear.

But yes, the bigger question is what kind of breeding history do they have. If this is their first year, they might have some infertile eggs or might have a hard time handling more than one chick. We'll have to wait and see.

Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!

Hi Iris Glad you found your way back to the BLOG. Yes Eagle Season is off and running. Cams are both working better and better each day. I am actually going to be cutting back quite a lot on what is coming out fo the Feed Blitz as there are lots of pictures on the momster albums and Videos here on the link to Paula's BLOG....There will still be a Feed Blits coming out once or twice a week however with pictures and videos as well. I am sure especially for those who actively watch and BLOG we want to be spending most of our time watching the cams...I know I do. When you see an exceptionally good one, how about still remembering to Snap and Share with me and yep I love the captions too, but you don't have to do that LOL, some of you are great at it though and I think you enjoy it as much as we enjoy reading it.

IrisF said...

Here I am again, I added the old photo, -it was snowing that day. But notice that where it used to say Beta, it now says we are out of Beta???? Is that going to be a problem? And I thought I was confused enough!!!

You may even need to go a step further & cold boot the PC before the
new pic shows... At least my PC is that peculiar.

Anonymous said...

I did a restart I'm sure it is the html is too long because Nilla and me tried one on hers. It showed up in the blog page but didn't when she came in to talk.

Then she found Betty and now she has found Angel.

Was Belle that picky at Liberty last season??

Anonymous said...

Was Belle that picky at Liberty last season??
Dana, last season I never really saw the two of them together - they were busy taking care of the little ones. Others may have seen them before the eggs - but I didn't. That's one reason I was thankful the cam would be up this soon into the season - so we could learn to know Liberty & Belle as a couple because we know them only as parents.

Will go back and read the last few entries but wanted to say a quick HI...Busy for me now til after Christmas, so maybe I iwll start saying if this is the last post you read from me this Christmas , please know that I do wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas. Will be popping quickly in and out several times I am sure before Fri morning when I close down the computer and take to the Sky, off to AZ...be prepared for pictures, but not necessarily the Eagle kind LOL.

mauley said...

Baby Emily is one year old. But her big sister, Lindsay, just got diagnosed with it too. Lindsay is 3, and on top of all that, I have two little 4 month old little grand sons. That means that they can't be together at my house for Christmas. I will have to do two differnt Christmas celebrations for the grandkids. My daughter's little Danielle had RSV at 4 months and we almost lost her. It seems that the younger the infant the higher risk there is for this terrible virus. There is not treatment for RSV, but high risk infants like preemies are eligible for an anti RSV shot series, but Emily is not high risk, she is doing as well as can be expected by the Grace of God we know that she has been touched by Him. She did not have to be hospitalized but our little Danielle was in ICU for two weeks with it back in 1999 All prayers are humbly appreciated. for baby Emily and Lindsay, too. thanks donna

Mits said...

I was just reading up on RSV, Donna. For you and me it no big deal but for the little ones, it is much harsher...prayers for all your babies.

Nilla said...

i too have 2 great neices names Emily and Lindsey... So many in need of prayers here. Well almost time to close be back la8er from home...

Talked to Sharon

They have drained a cup off of her liver already. she had a pretty rough time with the procedure itself, and not so
comfortable a night, but is doing some better this morning. They are hoping she can go home Fri or Sat. If its Fri i am sure her card will have to follow her, and could be a while arriving LOL. My guess is the flowers today however will definitely brighten things up for her.
